Travel to the cosmopolitan city of Montreal where we spend our first night.

Enjoy a mid-day visit to historic Quebec City. Then, take the scenic drive to St. Simeon, and take a ferry across the St. Lawrence, spending the night in Riviere-du-Loup.

Arrive late afternoon in Miramichi, where you'll be welcomed after dinner with a down-home kitchen party.

Enjoy a fascinating visit to Olivier Soapery, followed by a cruise on the bay with lobster fishers with an included lobster feast. Cross the Confederation Bridge to P.E.I., spending two nights in Charlottetown.

A local guide joins us for a full day tour of Prince Edward Island. Visit Lucy Maude Montgomery's home, and enjoy a lunch reminiscent of the era of Anne of Green Gables

We return to New Brunswick, and travel south toward Nova Scotia. Stopping for a Fabric of Canada luncheon, we arrive this afternoon in Baddeck for a two-night stay.

We travel the Cabot Trail today, one of the most beautiful drives in North America.

This morning we travel from Baddeck to Halifax. Take in the scenery along the south shore of Minas Basin. Enjoy a guided city tour before checking into our home for the next three nights.

Visit the most photographed place in North America, Peggy's Cove. This afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the Halifax waterfront. The June 23 departure also features the Royal Nova Scotia Tattoo performance today. All other dates include a scenic harbour cruise aboard the tallship, Silva.

Travel through picturesque Mahone Bay to the historic town of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, and explore the downtown waterfront area.

Travel across Nova Scotia and into New Brunswick, visiting the famous Hopewell Rocks. one of the most iconic natural sights in the Maritimes. The vista changes moment by moment, as the tide makes its way in and out of the basin twice per day. Then, stop at Magnetic Hill and experience the bizarre sensation of coasting uphill.

Enjoy a beautiful drive along the St. John River, stopping in Fredericton for a guided tour of the city.

Day Thirteen

Travel along the south shores of the St. Lawrence this morning to Montreal, our home for the night. A farewell dinner is included this evening at a lovely downtown restaurant.

Day 1 UK - Niagara Falls

Depart on your flight to Toronto. On arrival, we'll transfer you to your hotel in Niagara Falls for an overnight stay.

Day 2 Niagara Falls - Toronto

We travel to Rockport today, where we join our Heart of the Island Cruise, with great views of the 1000 Islands. Some islands are large and home to opulent mansions, while others are tiny, uninhabited outcrops. Later, we continue to Ottawa, our base for the next two nights.

Day 5 Ottawa

Your day begins with a walking tour of Canada's modern-day capital city. Highlights will include Confederation Square, the National War Museum, Sparks Street, the grounds of Parliament Hill and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. By lunchtime we'll be in ByWard Market, so why not choose a restaurant before exploring further at your own pace. We highly recommend a visit to Rideau Hall, the official residence and workplace of Canada's Governor General.

Day 6 Ottawa - Mont Tremblant

Today we'll revel in the beauty of the Laurentian Mountains, as we make our way to the resort town of Mont Tremblant, on the shores of Lake Tremblant. As you explore the resort, you'll find a huge choice of shops and restaurants. If you like, you can ride a gondola to the top of the highest peak in the Laurentians for amazing views

Canada Coast to Coast by Train

The Coast to Coast is the ultimate Canadian trip by rail and includes East Coast train rides. You’ll see the country’s top highlights, including Peggy’s Cove, Niagara Falls and Lake Louise. This trip includes a trip on VIA Rail, in a sleeper cabin, and on the Rocky Mountaineer.

VIA Rail is Canada’s main passenger train and connects Vancouver to Halifax with four major train routes. Stops you can explore include Vancouver, Jasper, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec and Halifax. The trains run year-round, but there are special presentations and activities during the summer, including live music, wine tastings and history talks. Depending on the route, they offer overnight sleeper train experiences.  

Sleeper Train

There are two train routes in Canada which allow you to sleep on the train, both through VIA Rail. Travel between Vancouver and Toronto on The Canadian with stops in Jasper or Winnipeg. Or travel the East Coast of Canada on the Ocean train. Both sleeper train routes are available all year long. Some sleeper trains in Canada are equipped with special panoramic viewing cars to provide you with the best view of the scenery day or night. 

The Canadian Train

Hopping a ride on VIA Rail’s Canadian Train is the ultimate way to discover how big and beautiful Canada is. The Canadian was the flagship of the Canadian Pacific Rail line when it first began service in 1955. Now, connecting Toronto to Vancouver, the Canadian carries you from the forests of Ontario, through the sweeping fields of the Prairies and past the dramatic snow-capped Rocky Mountains. 

The Ocean Train

Onboard VIA Rail’s Ocean Train you'll travel from the French speaking province of Quebec, through the blissful backdrop of lighthouses and seascapes in the Canadian maritime provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia before reaching your final destination of Halifax. As you relax onboard, you'll see tiny communities along your route, representing French Canadian, Acadian, Celtic and English heritage.

• The first provinces to form Canada are in the East: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Ontario.

Trafalgar prides themselves on having the finest fleet of fuel-efficient, fully air-conditioned coaches and all come with reclining seats and onboard restrooms. The high vantage point from your coach's window means you can take in all the glorious scenery, whether it's a vast rural landscape or an urban city centre. Onboard WiFi is also available.

You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your trip. Depending on your nationality, you may need visas to enter certain countries included on your trip. Obtaining visas can take up to six weeks prior to your departure. It is strongly advised that you consult your local Consulate or Embassy of the country you are visiting well in advance to determine which visas they require.

As a traveller from England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa you will need an adaptor for types A, B.

• Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
• Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
• For any tour departing before 4th July 2024 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after 4th July 2024, a minimum payment of €100 is required to confirm your booking with Trafalgar. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
• Some departure dates and prices may vary and Trafalgar will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
• The following cards are accepted for "Trafalgar" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
