Day-wise Itinerary of the Trip.

Day 01:- Athirapally- Valparai

On Day - 1 of the trip, we will commence by picking you up from either the Cochin Airport or Chalakudy Railway Station, after which we will proceed towards Athirapally Waterfalls. These magnificent falls are known as the "Niagara Falls of India" and are a major tourist attraction. En route, we can visit Thumboormuzhy Dam, Butterfly Park, and Hanging Bridge. To get to the falls, we will need to take a short walk through the Athirapally Forest, where you can spot numerous endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna.

 Once we reach the falls, the breathtaking view of lush greenery with crystal-clear water is simply stunning. Athirapally Waterfalls is an ideal destination for trekking and nature enthusiasts as the falls flow through the Vazhachal forest toward the Arabian Sea. After exploring Athirapally, we will visit the famous Vazhachal Waterfalls.

 Next, we will embark on a 40 km Jungle Safari through the rainforests of Western Ghats and reach Malakkappara Hill Station, which boasts tea plantations. You can spend an hour here and then proceed to visit Upper Sholyar Dam before finally reaching Valparai. Valparai is a perfect place to stay amidst cool climates and tea estates. You can enjoy the greenery and serenity of this place overnight. 

Day 02:- Valparai - Aliyar Dam - Thrissur/ Cochin Airport/ Coimbatore Airport 

On Day 2 of your trip, start your morning with breakfast and then head towards Valparai. One of the must-visit attractions in Valparai is the Aliyar Dam, which is the second deepest dam in Asia and is located 27 km away from Pollachi. The dam is situated at the foothills of Valparai and offers some ideal gateways, including a park, an aquarium, and a mini Theme-Park that is maintained by Tamilnadu Fisheries Corporation. It is an excellent spot for a picnic with your friends or family. After exploring Aliyar Dam, make your way to Monkey Falls, which is situated near Aliyar Dam between Pollachi and Valparai in the Anamalai Hills. It is a magnificent waterfall that is a great place to spend some time with nature. After having lunch, drive to Loam's View Point, which is located at the 9th hairpin bend on the Pollachi-Valparai route. From this mesmerizing viewpoint, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Aliyar Dam, the surrounding mountains of Western Ghats, and Pollachi town. Move to Thrissur/ Cochin Airport / Coimbatore ( as per your choice. Drop and say Good-by.

Morning pick up from Cochin railway station / airport. Drive to Athirapally (79 km / 2 hrs.) which is a famous and beautiful tourist spot in Kerala. En-route to Thumpurmuzhy, most beautiful garden with a Children park, Riverside garden with facility of natural river bath. It is eco fragile area with a lot of activities. It has basically a check dam, this part of the river is most suitable for bath .It has a beautiful mountain view of eye catching. Kerala’s no – 1Butterfly garden is in Thumboormuzhy , it is  a photo point for  honeymooners, leisure etc. .

Check in hotel . Fresh in and visit  Athirapally Vazhachal , the most famous waterfalls of Kerala, situated on the Chalakudy River, which originates from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats. At the entrance to the Sholayar ranges is the  largest waterfall in Kerala, Athirapally ,Vazhachal waterfall is close to dense green forests that are home to many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna. Morning after breakfast proceed to Valparai  via Sholayar (76km /3.5hrs ) , Sholayar Forest has a total area of about 400 sq. km. Valparai is different from other tourist spots unlike Ooty. Munnar, Kodaikanal, etc because of some of its unique nature. Ecotourism is given more importance than regular for of tourism. Chinnakallar in Valparai records maximum rainfall next to Chirapunji.  Valparai  is the only hill station in the world  which has 12 dams and hydroelectric power stations. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 01: thrissur.

Pickup from Cochin Railway Station / Airport and move to Guruvayoor for having a darshan in the famous Guruvayoor Temple, the abode of Shri Guruvayoorapan, is one of the main attractions among hindu devotees. From early morning itself a lot of devotees come to the temple for the darshana. One can also find images of different gods, like Lord Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappa, Edathedathu Kavil Bhagavathy etc. After having the darshana one can have the lunch ( Annadanam) from the temple itself in traditional kerala style food. After the food, drive to Punnathur Kotta or Anakotta (Elephant Fort), 2 kms from the temple town of Guruvayoor. So many elephants – under one shelter-just amazing feeling, especially for children. It’s a rare experience not to be missed. After having lunch have one more temple i.e., Mammiyoor Sri Mahadeva Temple , a temple where the main deity is Lord shiva in the form of Uma Maheshwara.

Return back to the hotel / resort. Overnight stay.

Day 02: Thrissur

After breakfast drive to Vadakumnathan Temple , one of the largest and ancient Siva temples in Kerala. Here, the temple and the Mural paintings are declared as a National Monument by the Union Government. It has a large ground with area of about 9 acres-where the thrissur puram is practiced. Next move to Shakthan Thampuran Temple also named as Vadakkekara Palace built blend of Kerala’s ancient architectural style-Nalukettu. It offers an architectural wonder with a store house of knowledge-with an elaborate museum. After having your lunch next visit Archaeological Museum- a major attraction for tourists. One can see various specimens from different eras of history. An interesting collection is a set of manuscripts written on dry palm leaves. A heritage garden is also there within the museum complex. Move to the Thrissur Zoo blended with the Museum. The zoo is a must visit to all animal lovers where you can see different animals and also you will be enthralled by the extensive variety of fauna sited here.

Day 03: Athirapally

After breakfast proceed to Athirapally Waterfalls ( also known as “Niagara Falls of India”), the stunning waterfalls which is like a gift from nature is one of the main tourist attractions. To reach the waterfalls we have to take a short walk through the Athirapally Forest . Many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna are found in the forest. After reaching the waterfalls the view of having a combination of greenery with the crystal clear water is just tremendous. A perfect destination for the trekking and nature loving people. The waterfalls here flow through the Vazhachal forest toward the Arabian Sea. After lunch if time permits we can also visit the Vazhachal Waterfalls , which is also a famous tourist spot.

Day 04: Valparai

After having your breakfast move to Valparai and visit the second deepest dam in the continent of Asia- Aliyar Dam- a reservoir located 27 kms away from pollachi on the foothills of Valparai, The dam offers some ideal gateways including a park, an aquarium and a mini Theme-Park maintained by Tamilnadu Fisheries Corporation. It is an ideal picnic spot. Move to Monkey Falls -9th kms junction on the Pollachi-Valparai road. a magnificient falls situated near Aliyar Dam between Pollachi and Valparai in the Anamalai Hills. After lunch, drive to the mesmerizing view pointi.e., Loam’s View Point- 9th hair pin bend on the Pollachi-Valparai route from where you get the panoramic view from Aliyar Dam, the surrounding mountains of Western Ghats and the Pollachi town.

Day 05: Valparai

After breakfast drop to Coimbatore Railway Station / Airport.
