ULTRA Australia has dropped its first lineup announcement with Afrojack, Alesso, Oliver Heldens and Steve Aoki for Sidney Myer Music Bowl & Kings Domain in Melbourne on Saturday, 5 March 2022.

The EDM festival is bringing a host of the most famous DJs in the world to Melbourne with its first phase lineup, with a second lineup announcement yet to be revealed.

The one-dayer will have two stages featuring Afrojack, Alesso, Oliver Heldens and Steve Aoki. Also on the lineup; Andrew Rayel, Belgian hardstyler Coone, Frank Walker, Sam Feldt and Will Sparks. The second stage will feature Italian Deborah De Luca.

Afrojack, Alesso, Oliver Heldens, Steve Aoki, Deborah De Luca, Andrew Rayel, Coone, Frank Walker, Sam Feldt and Will Sparks

Dubbed a ‘summer extravaganza’, these include the Main Stage where the best electronic talent will perform; the Resistance Stage which will be the hub of underground sounds; and the UMF Radio Stage, where Australia’s local DJs will perform.

In past years, over 40,000 Australian fans have witnessed the likes of The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Marshmello, Afrojack, DJ Snake, Deborah De Luca, Eric Prydz, Zedd, Tiger Lily and Will Sparks at the fest.

The festival’s also promising the obligatory range of food trucks, cocktails, bars, chill out areas, dancers and so on. If you’re loaded, you can even get one of their VVIP passes that can include a helicopter ride there.

First off, the venue of Avant Gardner at the Brookkyn Mirage was amazing. Very highly recommended place to see a show.

As for Alesso, what can a lover of House music say? He is an amazing talent, with and endless amount of awesome music and his show did not disappoint. It was 2 of the best nonstop 2 hour sets of music, lights, lasers and showmanship I have ever witnessed. Totally worth the time, money and effort to go as nd see him.

AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE! Alesso knows how to feel the crowd perfectly. He gave me a natural, musical high. I just wish he would've played "Is That For Me" featuring Anitta.

I wish he would have gone in earlier! We waited for hours before he actually started playing and unfortunately had to leave before he was done. It would have been nice if he started at least a little bit closer to the listed start time.

Ultra Australia reveals first phase of 2022 lineup: Afrojack, Alesso, Steve Aoki, and more

Ultra Worldwide first announced its expansion to Australia back in 2017. Two years later, the land down under experienced its first ever Ultra Music Festival in March of 2019 . After a pandemic-induced cancellation this year, Ultra Australia has officially delivered the first phase of its lineup for 2022.

Next year’s festival headliners will include Afrojack , Alesso , Oliver Heldens , Steve Aoki , and Deborah De Luca . Andrew Rayel , Coone , Frank Walker , Sam Feldt , and Will Sparks comprise a formidable roster of supporting acts for the rest of the lineup. Ultra Australia’s third installment is due to take place on March 5 at Melbourne’s Sidney Meyer Music Bowl, located in the lawns and gardens of Kings Domain.

Alesso To Support Madonna On Select Dates Of Her MDNA Tour

The prodigiously talented Swedish DJ and producer is fast rising through the ranks of the titans of EDM as he sweeps to the forefront of the genre. Having been named by MTV as EDM artist to watch for 2012 and recording a BBC Radio 1 Essential mix in March, he has continued to scale new heights with ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’, his recent collaboration with Sebastian Ingrosso, and his remix of Keane’s ‘Silenced By The Night’, which hit number 1 in the Beatport charts.

Well versed in disco and house, Madonna has embraced the burgeoning EDM movement and is showing her admiration for Alesso by inviting him to join her on her world tour, a move which once again cement’s the young DJ’s growing stature.

About alesso.

When the world of EDM was supersizing in the 2010s, Alesso went deeper, not bigger. Turning his attention from floor-filling grooves to soul-stirring hooks, he’d become one of the chief architects of dance music’s pop takeover. Born Alessandro Renato Rodolfo Lindblad in 1991, the Stockholm native caught the ear of Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso with his self-titled debut EP in 2010. He quickly notched a hit alongside his mentor with 2011’s “Calling (Lose My Mind)”, pairing a soaring topline from OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder with electrifying progressive house. It was an early example of pop/EDM crossover, and while such fusions soon became common, no one else had Alesso’s finesse. After perfecting the mixture of indie guitars with neon synths on 2015’s epic “Heroes (We Could Be)”, featuring Tove Lo, he would go on to team up with Maroon 5, Florida Georgia Line and even Taiwan’s Jolin Tsai, always testing the limits of his sound. But Alesso never turned his back on dance music. In 2019 he opted for hypnotic club fare on the PROGRESSO VOLUME 1 mixtape, and on 2021’s Armin van Buuren collab “Leave a Little Love”, he paired ’80s electro-funk with heads-down deep house. In fact, Alesso tells Apple Music, the first time he heard house music, it was love at first listen. “It was so different from everything you heard on the radio,” he says. “My gut was telling me, one day this is going to take off.” Sure enough, it did—and Alesso keeps taking it higher.

Billie Eilish is bringing her world tour to Australia next year.

The pop superstar has announced several shows in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, all of which will take place next February and March (see full dates below). The Australian leg of her world tour will follow her North American tour dates and will be proceeded by her European, UK, and Ireland shows.

Tickets to Eilish’s Australian shows go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 3rd at staggered times. There will also be several pre-sales taking place for the tour (see below).

According to a press release, these shows will be Eilish’s only Australian tour dates in 2025.

The US singer-songwriter is touring in support of her new album Hit Me Hard and Soft , which comes out on May 17th. It’s the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s Happier Than Ever , which topped charts around the world including in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and US.

DETROIT - Billie Eilish has just announced a huge tour which will take her around the globe for nearly two years. The tour announcement comes ahead of the release of her third studio album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” which will drop on May 17.

Eilish’s tour kicks off on September 29 in Quebec and wraps up on July 27, 2025 in Dublin, Ireland. Her tour has one Michigan concert set for Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Monday, October 7. Eilish last performed in Michigan at Little Caesars Arena on March 12, 2022.

Tickets for her tour will be available starting with the American Express Presale beginning Tuesday, April 30, with additional presales running throughout the week. Any remaining tickets will be available during the general on-sale starting Friday, May 3 at Noon.

Billie Eilish returns to Australia for major 2025 tour

Fire up the group chat!! 22-year-old superstar Billie Eilish has announced a massive world tour with a whopping 12 shows set to pop off around Australia. 

The Hottest 100 of 2019 winner will be taking HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR to Meanjin/Brisbane, Eora/Sydney and Naarm/Melbourne between February and March 2025. 

That gives us plenty of time to get familiar with her upcoming studio album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, set to drop on May 17. 

If you want hear those beautiful, angelic vocals live, tickets to each show will be available to purchase on Friday 3 May. American Express members can access the pre-sale from Wednesday 1 May, or you can hit up the Frontier Member, Live Nation or Vodafone pre-sales from Thursday 2 May. Billie Eilish has announced a ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’ 2024-2025 UK, North America, Europe and Australian world tour. Check out dates and ticket details below.

In support of her u pcoming third studio album ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT ‘ – which is set for release on May 17 and available for pre-order / pre-save here – Eilish will embark on a massive world tour.

Kicking off on September 29 at the Centre Videotron in Québec, the ‘Bad Guy’ singer will make her way across North America through the end of December 2024. From there, the tour will continue in Australia from mid February 2025 until early March 2025.

Eilish will then head over to commence her European, UK, and Ireland arena dates starting in April 2025 until late July 2025.

A ticket pre-sale will be available for American Express cardholders, which will begin on Tuesday April 30. Visit here for more information on the American Express pre-sale. An artist pre-sale will be available on Tuesday April 30 at 12pm local time.

The tour will also offer loads of sustainability efforts including Eilish’s long-standing partnership with environmental nonprofit Reverb which has previously resulted in over $1million donated to environmental, greenhouse gas reduction, and climate justice projects, more than 150,000 fan actions, and much more.

She will also team up with Support+Feed which will promote and offer plant-based food options. Support+Feed will also be launching a 360 campaign throughout the tour. An expanded version of the Support+Feed Pledge will be offered as a way to inspire fans to eat one plant-based meal a day for 30 days with digital elements and community activations.

Fans will have the opportunity to participate in Plant-based Food Drives in a selection of cities alongside the tour to raise awareness and gather food to distribute to local communities.

There will also be two Reverb eco-villages set up in the main concourse of every show where fans can take part in the tour’s sustainability efforts, connect with nonprofits, and take meaningful action for people and the planet.

F‌ans are encouraged to take public transport or carpool to the gigs in efforts to help reduce greenhouse gas pollution and encourage more public transportation options. Attendees will receive information via email about public transportation options before the show.

Venue partners are also helping to lessen the environmental footprint of the tour. In addition to efforts to decrease waste through reducing or eliminating single-use plastics and diverting landfill waste with compost and recycling, venues will be offering plant-based food options at all shows.

Fans and attendees are encouraged to bring an empty reusable water bottle or donate for a custom RockNRefill Nalgene bottle to fill up at the free water refill stations located at each venue. The RockNRefill bottles and refill stations are located at the Eco-Villages in the main concourse at all shows.

In other news, Eilish is one of the musicians who have signed an open letter calling for a bill to be passed to protect gig goers from ticket scams .
