How to Get New Saudi Visit Visa Stamped from Manama, Bahrain in 2023

There are two types of Saudi visit Visa for Families. One is a Single Entry Visa for six months, and the other is a Multiple-entry visa for one year. The first one is extended for one month via Absher. You can keep extending it to six months. For Multiple visit visas, the policy is changed Now. For now, you have to take an exit from Saudi Arabia and re-enter to get a further extension of 3 months. Going to your motherland may be hectic and will cost you a lot. Therefore I will share my story of how I Extended my visit visa by going to Bahrain using the King Fahad Causeway. In Bahrain, VFS Tasheel is responsible for New Visa stamping.

How to Get a new Visit visa and get it Stamped from

Here is how this procedure works.

My Scenario

My family’s visit visa was already expired on my passport. The issue was that if I took an exit from Saudi Arabia, the visit visa would have been finished, and my family would not be able to return to Saudi Arabia.

What did I do?

How did I do that? I Issued a new Visit Visa for my family. I took my Family to Bahrain and got this Visa Stamped From VFS TAsheel Office in Manama, Bahrain. Here is a detailed answer to that, and I hope I will be able to guide you step by step. Stay With Me.

Step 1 – Get a New Visit Visa from Saudi Arabia

If your Visa is Expired on your passport, then you need to get a new visit visa from Saudi Arabia . Before starting your application for a new visa, you need to make sure you put “Stamping Place” as Manama, Bahrain. Because this is where you will get your visa stamped. I applied for the new visa and got it within three days. My family was still in Saudi Arabia on a previous visit visa. So if you ask whether you can get a new visa while your family is still in Saudi Arabia, the answer is YES.

Step 2 – Get E-Visa for Bahrain

Initially, Bahrain was giving On Arrival Visas , but that facility is not available now. You need to apply for an E Visa for each family member. For Iqama Holders, Bahrain is still giving Visa on Arrival and Charging you depending upon your Occupation on your Iqama. I didn’t want any unnecessary risks, so I also opted for an E Visa. I applied from their official Site, and within 4 to 5 days, I got E Visas for each family member. You can also launch a complaint on Tawasul if your Visas are late.

I paid 4BD and later on 5BD per visa. So total, it was 9BD = 90 Riyals per Passport.

It is a 30 Day Visa and the maximum you can stay in Bahrain is 30 Days.

Step 3 – Travel to Bahrain

We are Located far From Riyadh, nearly 1000 km from my city Riyadh. We booked Saptco for Riyadh and then from Riyadh to Dammam. It took us almost 15 Hours to Reach Dammam. From Dammam, there are 2 Trips daily to Manama, Bahrain. Charges for One person are 95 Riyal or 9.5BD.

Step 4 – Checking at King Fahad Causway

On the Saudi Side of King Fahad Causeway, they will Check your Iqama and Re-Entry Visa and the Visit Visa of each family member. They will also check Bahrain’s Visa for Each member. After checking my family’s visa, the Jawazat person told me you know your Family visa is expired, and you cannot enter Saudi Arabia. I said yes and showed him the new visa, which I would stamp in Manama. He Checked the Visa and Stamping place on it and let us all go with a smile on his face. We thanked him and went to our Bus.

After that we reached Manama at around 9 pm. We stayed at a hotel that was just 15 Min Away from VFS Tasheel Office.

Step 5 – Stamping Visa from VFS Tasheel

VFS Tasheel is a Globally recognized Visa Center for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They have offices in almost every Country. In Bahrain, you must get to VFS Tasheel if you want to stamp your Saudi Visit Visa. However, In Pakistan, Eitmad Limited is Responsible for Saudi Visa Stamping.

Procedure at VFS Tasheel:

Step 1 – Appointment:

You need to book an appointment from their  Official Website . If Appointments are Full, try to get Walk in Token, but you need to be there at 7:30. They only treat 10 Walk-in Tokens for a day. We Didn’t have an appointment, and it took us three days to submit our passports. 3rd day we were there at 7:30 and still got 3rd Token.

Step 2 – Documents Required

I submitted the following Documents

  • Applicant’s Passport
  • Applicant’s Passport Copy
  • Marriage Certificate For Wife/Birth Certificate for Children. Birth certificates or Marriage certificate must be attested by saudi consulate from their own country
  • 2 Passport Size Photos with White Background
  • Visa Document
  • My Passport Copy

Pay the Fees alongside these Documents, and they will ask you to sit inside the Lounge. It will take an hour to finish everything else, and you will be sent back home.

Step 3 – Passport Collection

We Submitted the passport around 1 pm, and the next day at 4 pm, we received our Passports. Usually, it takes only 24 to 36 Hours for Visa to get stamped on the passport, and the passport is ready to be picked up. So it took only 27 hours in our case.

Step 6 – Getting Back to Saudi Arabia

Once we had our passports, we booked our Saptco tickets for Dammam. Here in Manama, they will check your Saudi Iqama and the Saudi Visa of each Family member. The Procedure is the same as you travel from Dammam to Manama. On the Bahrain side of King Fahad Causeway, they checked our Passports and on Saudi Side, they took the passports and send us to Jawazat officers to get new Border numbers and fingerprints for Adults. After that Saudi Customs checked the Car and Luggage and sets you free to go to Saudi Arabia.

Step 7 – Welcome to Khobar, Saudi Arabia

After a 20 to 30 Minutes Drive on King Fahad Causeway, You will be Welcomed to Saudi Arabia. Enjoy Your Stay.

I hope I have explained everything well. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions regarding this. I will be happy to assist you all.

Assalamo-Alaikum Sir thank you for providing each and every step for stamping. Can you plz tell me when we apply for new saudi family visa for stamping from bahrain upon filling the form should we mention our destination as Manama instead of Pakistan?

YES. While applying, you should mention destination of Visa stamping as MANAMA.

Also, my marriage certificate and bay form of children both are attested from foreign affairs Pakistan. The marriage certificate is in English and Urdu, but Bayform is in urdu. Will the Saudi consulate attest it or not?

Hello Brother, Now I’m in Saudi Arabia my family is with me and visa will expire with in a week but they can stay still one month more my question is my daughter birth certificate and my marriage certificate are not attested so is there is any issue? also my wife is pregnant 7 month. please advise.

Brother, Sorry for the delay. I would suggest you to not take any risk and Send your wife to your home country. Once the new one is born, you can send his/her visa and get it stamped and bring everyone again. This is the right approach in my opinion.

marriage certificate is not attested with Saudi consulate is there any other option to accepts like Aadhaar card, bank statements.

Saudi Visa from Bahrain

The Saudi visa for Bahrain residents is a document that allows individuals residing in Bahrain to enter and stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for specific purposes and durations (as stipulated by the type and conditions of the issued visa).

Although citizens of Bahrain are exempt from needing a visa to enter Saudi Arabia, foreigners residing in Bahrain must obtain a Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visa (KSA visa) to enter the country for purposes including:

  • Visiting family and friends

The majority of Bahrain residents can apply for a Saudi visa online. However, in cases where online applications are not possible, individuals may need to apply through an embassy or Visa Application Center (VAC).

The validity of Saudi visas varies depending on the type of visa obtained. For example, tourist visas (the most popular type of visa) are usually valid for multiple entries in a one-year period whereas employment visas can have longer validity periods, typically ranging from one to three years.

When applying for a Saudi tourist visa from Bahrain, there is specific documentation you will need to provide. Without the required documents, your visa application will likely be rejected.

You will need to provide a copy of your passport. Your passport must have at least six months of validity beyond your intended stay in Saudi Arabia.

Visa application form

You must complete and sign your application form as accurately and honestly as possible. If you are applying for an e-Visa, you can complete your application online. Alternatively, you can visit the Saudi embassy, consulate, or a Visa Application Center (VAC).

You will need a recent passport-sized photograph that meets Saudi Arabia’s specific photograph requirements.

Applying for a Saudi e-Visa from Bahrain

Applying for a Saudi e-Visa from Bahrain is a convenient and efficient option for travelers.

Below is an easy-to-follow guide to the online application process:

Visit the website

Visit the SaudiVisa.com website and click ‘Apply now’ to start your visa application.

Complete the application form

Complete the online visa application form with accurate personal and travel details. Make sure you complete all aspects of the application and that all the information matches your passport. In addition, you will need to upload your personal photo.

Pay the visa fee

You should then proceed to the payment section and pay the applicable visa fee using a valid credit or debit card. The Saudi visa from Bahrain's price is typically USD 199.

Wait for your visa to process

After you submit your application and payment, allow time for the visa processing. Once your visa is approved, you will receive an email notification with the e-Visa attached as a PDF document.

Print the e-Visa

Print a copy of the approved e-Visa to carry with you during your travels to Saudi Arabia. It is recommended that your visa be accessible both digitally and as a hard copy.

Where to Apply

Foreigners residing in Bahrain can apply for their Saudi visa online, via the Saudi Visa website . Applying online offers a quick and easy way to apply for a visa without needing to visit an embassy, consulate, or VAC. Alternatively, you can choose to obtain a visa on arrival. However, this can result in long lines and potential delays at the airport in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, it is recommended that visa applications are done online in advance.

Saudi Visa Processing Time

The typical processing time for a Saudi e-visa is usually 1-5 business days, with the majority of applications being processed within 24 hours. However, processing times may vary depending on factors such as the volume of applications and the accuracy of the submitted documents. It is advisable to apply in advance of your planned travel dates to allow sufficient time for processing and to avoid any potential last-minute delays.

Saudi Visa Extension

Saudi e-visas are not extendable, meaning you cannot prolong your stay in Saudi Arabia beyond the validity period specified in your e-visa. If you want to stay longer, you must leave the country before your visa expires and apply for a new e-visa if you wish to return. Alternatively, you can apply for another visa (such as a residency visa) while you are in Saudi Arabia, as long as you meet the conditions of that visa. It is essential to adhere to the visa’s validity period to avoid overstaying, which can result in penalties and complications for future travel to Saudi Arabia.

Can I apply for an e-Visa if I am visiting Saudi Arabia for Umrah?

If you are visiting for the Umrah pilgrimage, you can likely apply for a tourist e-Visa. However, during the Hajj season, you may need to apply for a specific Hajj visa from Bahrain.

Is there an age limit for the e-Visa?

You must be at least 18 years old to apply for an e-Visa yourself. Travelers under 18 can apply for a visa with at least one ‘responsible’ adult who will be traveling to Saudi Arabia with them.

What if I am a Bahrain resident with a passport from a visa-exempt country?

There are four visa-exempt countries (excluding Bahrain) for Saudi Arabia – Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. If your passport is from one of these visa-exempt countries, you will not need to apply for a visa, even if you are traveling from Bahrain rather than your country of citizenship.

Is the Saudi visit visa from Bahrain the same as the e-Visa?

The terms visit visa and tourist visa are often used interchangeably to refer to visas issued for short-term stays. However, a Saudi Arabia visit visa can also refer to other types of temporary visit visas, including business visas and family visit visas.

bahrain evisa for saudi visit visa holders

  • bahrain visa for people visiting kingdom saudi arabia on family visit visa

The Kingdom of Bahrain's visa policy lays out the rules, regulations, and restrictions that must be followed by any foreign visitors who seek to visit, enter, or stay in the nation. For Bahrain, there are just a few visa-free zones. Except for Qatari citizens, who must get a visa, nationals of all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries can enter the region without a visa by just producing a valid ID card. Citizens of foreign countries must get a visa based on their nationality, the purpose of their travel, and the length of time they plan to spend in Bahrain. Visitors should familiarize themselves with Bahrain Visa for People Visiting Kingdom Saudi Arabia criteria so that they may apply for the appropriate travel permission, which could be an electronic visa or an embassy visa.

Bahrain's Tourist Visa Policy:

Those considering a tourist vacation to Bahrain may need to fulfill various visa requirements depending on their nationality and Bahrain's tourist visa policy. If coming by plane and staying for a short amount of time, foreign tourists from roughly 120 countries can travel to Bahrain for tourism or business by getting an electronic visa (eVisa). Eligible applicants can apply online for an authorized Bahrain tourist visa that will be electronically attached to their passport.

Tourists who do not qualify for an eVisa must apply for a standard embassy visa to visit Bahrain. This type of visa must be secured well in advance of the desired date of arrival in Bahrain from a Bahraini diplomatic government office.

Applicants must attend a consular appointment and furnish a variety of supporting papers to apply for a tourist embassy visa.

To enter Bahrain with an eVisa, you must meet the following requirements:

To submit a Bahrain electronic visa application form, eligible candidates must complete the following requirements:

  • Have a valid passport that is valid for either the duration of the traveler's stay in the nation or the duration of the visa, whichever is longer.
  • Upload a photo of the passport's biographical page.
  • Upload a photo of the passport's last page (Indian passport holders only)
  • A copy of an airline ticket for both arrival and departure
  • A photocopy of your GCC residency card (if applicable).

Visas for the Kingdom of Bahrain are divided into numerous categories based on their characteristics:

1. The goal This is your reason for requiring a Bahrain Visa (eg. general tourism, business, work, visit family, etc).

2. Sponsorship is available. The majority of Bahrain visas require sponsorship. Unsponsored visas are available, but only for particular nationalities and specific purposes.

3. Visa type: standard or eVisa Some visas are considered "standard" because they are visible as a stamp or label in the passport. The phrase "eVisa" refers to a visa that does not have a visible stamp or label. The visa is electronic in this scenario, and the validity will be verified at the border when you enter Bahrain. The Visit eVisa, which is an electronic visa that can be purchased via this webpage, is an example of this.

4. Single/multiple The amount of trips you can make is determined by this. The majority of visas are single-entry, though some nationalities get multiple-entry visas.

5. Issuer's location Some visas are accessible on arrival in Bahrain; however, visas must be obtained in advance, either through a sponsor or through an embassy.

You must pay a charge for the original grant and any future renewals on all visas (if any extension is permitted):

Each visa has its own set of requirements. These are the rules that determine whether or not it can be granted in a certain circumstance and whether or not you will be allowed to enter Bahrain once you arrive. Some terms and https://www.evisa.gov.bh/ determine the maximum length of your stay and advise you on what is a permissible activity for a visa holder in Bahrain.  Visitors who do not qualify for a Bahrain Family Visit Visa must apply for an embassy visa, which can be issued for a variety of reasons and varying lengths of stay. It is recommended that applicants apply well ahead of their intended arrival date to enable enough time for the visa to be accepted. Foreign individuals who require a visa to enter Bahrain but are not eligible for an electronic visa must apply for a traditional embassy or consular visa before leaving.

Currently, nationals of over 120 countries must apply for an embassy visa through their nearest Bahraini government diplomatic office, regardless of the reason for their visit or the length of time they intend to spend in the Kingdom.

Applicants must schedule a visa appointment with the diplomatic office and print and complete an embassy visa application form to get a Bahrain consular Tourist Visa Online. Travelers will be asked to select the sort of visa they require while filling out the application form with personal and passport information, whether it is a tourist visa, business visa, work visa, transit visa, study visa, or another visa choice. Depending on the type of Bahrain visa the applicant seeks, additional supporting documents may be required. It is recommended that travelers register for an embassy visa well in advance of their intended arrival date in Bahrain, as approval can take up to two weeks or longer.

Saudi Arabia: Any visa holder can now perform Umrah

Pilgrims encouraged to utilise Nusuk app to obtain Umrah permit, adhere to ritual timings

UMRAH-1714037149022

Cairo: Saudi Arabia has announced that individuals holding various types of visas are now permitted to undertake Umrah, the minor pilgrimage, with ease.

“Arrivals from anywhere and with any visa can perform Umrah with ease and comfort,” the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in an X post.

The ministry emphasized that Umrah rituals are accessible to holders of all visas, including personal, family, transit, labor, and e-visas.

“Whatever the type of your visa, you can do Umrah,” it added.

Pilgrims are encouraged to utilize the Nusuk app to obtain an Umrah permit and adhere to designated timings for the rituals at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Islam’s holiest site.

  • 12.5 million used Saudi Arabia’s airports via 86,000 flights in Ramadan

The Nusuk platform facilitates various procedures, including accommodation arrangements, for Muslims planning to perform Umrah and visit Medina, Islam’s second holiest site.

In recent months, the kingdom has introduced a host of facilities for overseas Muslims to come to the country to perform Umrah.

These initiatives aim to accommodate millions of Muslims worldwide who undertake Umrah, especially those who may not be able to participate in the annual Hajj pilgrimage due to physical or financial constraints.

Recent enhancements include extending the Umrah visa duration from 30 to 90 days, allowing entry via all land, air, and sea ports, and eliminating the requirement for women pilgrims to be accompanied by male guardians. Additionally, expatriates in Gulf Cooperation Council countries and holders of Schengen, US, and UK visas can now book Umrah appointments via the Nusuk app before arriving in Saudi Arabia.

Major Schengen visa update for Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and India

bahrain evisa for saudi visit visa holders

Under the new arrangement, nationals of Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain will be eligible for five-year multiple-entry Schengen visas

Marisha Singh

Passport holders from Bahrain, Oman and Saudi Arabia, are set to benefit from extended travel privileges as the European Union (EU) announced the issuance of five-year multiple-entry Schengen visas.

The announcement was made by Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, during the High-Level Forum on Regional Security and Cooperation held in Luxembourg.

He said, “I would like to welcome the adoption by the [European] Commission this morning of decisions that will allow to harmonise the rules on the issuing of multiple-entry visas for GCC countries.”

Borrell expressed the EU’s commitment to strengthening relations with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries by harmonising visa rules.

Schengen visa changes

Under the new arrangement, nationals of Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain will be eligible for five-year multiple-entry Schengen visas, allowing them to make multiple visits to Schengen Area countries within a calendar year.

However, travellers must adhere to the 90/180-day rule, limiting stays to a maximum of three months within any six-month period.

While specific details are yet to be officially released by EU authorities, it is anticipated that first-time applicants and eligible passport holders from the mentioned countries will benefit from the extended visa validity as well.

Notably, citizens of the UAE are currently the only GCC nationals who enjoy a visa-free entry to the Schengen Area, while discussions are ongoing between other GCC nations and the EU to further ease visa requirements.

Read: Visa-free travel to Schengen countries soon? GCC-EU talks see progress

Earlier this year, talks saw EU countries consider the lifting of visa requirements for nationals of Kuwait and Qatar based on several key criteria, as revealed in a recent report:

  • Irregular migration
  • Public policy and security
  • Economic benefits
  • EU relations with the countries

The European Union Commission’s assessment concluded that both Kuwait and Qatar present a low risk in terms of irregular immigration.

Should the European visa requirements for these GCC countries be lifted, travellers would be eligible for the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS).

Indian nationals benefit from new Schengen visa rule change

In addition to the visa changes for Gulf citizens, the EU has also adopted more favorable Schengen visa rules for Indian nationals.

Eligible Indian travellers with an established travel history and prior Schengen visa usage will now be granted multiple-entry visas with extended validity, starting from two years and potentially extending to five years, subject to passport validity.

Previously, the standard rules of the Visa Code applied.

What does EU visa relaxation for Saudi, Bahraini, Omani citizens mean?

(L to R) EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell shakes hands with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud during a plenary session titled "Transforming for a New Era", during the Doha Forum in Qatar's capital on March 26, 2022. (Photo by KARIM JAAFAR / AFP) (Photo by KARIM JAAFAR/AFP via Getty Images)

This week, the European Union (EU) announced a relaxation of Schengen visa rules for the citizens of Bahrain, Oman and Saudi Arabia , making it much easier for nationals of the Gulf countries to visit Europe.

Background: At the EU- Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) High Level Forum on Regional Security and Cooperation in Luxembourg on Monday, the European Commission adopted three implementing decisions to update the Schengen rules for issuing multiday visas for the three Gulf states. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud headed a delegation from the kingdom in the European country, which also included Ambassador to the EU Haifa Al-Jedea and the Foreign Ministry’s adviser, Manal Radwan.

Announcing the visa rule change during the opening session of the forum, the EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said, “I welcome a decision adopted by the European Commission this morning to harmonize the rules for granting multiple-entry visas for the citizens of the GCC countries.”

The GCC includes Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.

At the forum, officials discussed security and strategic cooperation between the GCC and the EU, as well as the conflict in the Gaza Strip and the wider region.

What are the new visa rules?

Under the new rules, Bahraini, Omani and Saudi Arabian nationals will be eligible for multiple-entry visas, allowing them to visit the Schengen area (the EU’s 27 member states as well as Bulgaria and Romania) and move freely between them. The area expanded in February 2022 to include the two non-EU states, removing all air and maritime border controls. A decision on whether to remove land border controls will be made at a later date.

Those who have the visa will be able to visit Schengen area countries multiple times over five years with the same visa. The visa will also apply to first-time travelers to Europe from the three Middle Eastern countries.

Holders of the visas will enjoy the same travel rights as visa-free nationals.

Other members of the GCC, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar, have different rules regarding getting a Schengen visa. UAE citizens do not need a visa to travel to the Schengen area, but Qataris must apply for one.

In 2022, the EU said it planned to offer visa-free travel to Kuwait and Qatari nationals. A new visa “cascade scheme” was unveiled for Kuwaitis last September, allowing for all eligible applicants, including those travelling for the first time, to obtain five-year permits.

Know more: The move by the EU comes after the UK government announced in February that nationals from the GCC, including Saudi Arabia, could apply for Electronic Travel Authorization visas , making it easier for them to come to the UK, even on very short notice. The EU decision will allow the 27-nation bloc to remain competitive in providing access to their countries to Saudi nationals, as European countries vie for new investment from wealthy Gulf countries.

On the Gulf side, the Riyadh-headquartered GCC in November announced plans for a unified tourist visa similar to the Schengen visa.
