New Glasgow to Seville flight launched by Barrhead Travel for Rangers fans

The Scottish travel agency is launching a second chartered flight, Glasgow Live can exclusively reveal, for Rangers fans desperate to get to the Europa League Final.

Following Rangers' win against RB Leipzig, Barrhead Travel secured fans a chartered flight to Seville - now the Scottish travel agency has exclusively shared with Glasgow Live that a second chartered flight is now available to book.

Glasgow club Rangers secured their place in the Europa League Final for the first time in 14 years after a 3-1 victory against RB Leipzig, meaning they will take on Eintracht Frankfurt in Spain on Wednesday May 18.

Fans have scrambled to buy tickets for private chartered return flights from Travelbank Holidays - with flights leaving Glasgow at 6am on Wednesday, May 18, and setting back fans £949 for the one-day direct trip.

Now, Barrhead Travel have launched their own two flights to Seville for fans - their two same-day return flights, which will depart from Glasgow on Wednesday 18th May and will return after the match, start at £849pp.

The second of the two chartered flights has been announced and is expected to sell out quickly.

The package includes:

• Direct flight from Glasgow to Seville
• Return flight from Seville to Glasgow
• Match tickets not included
• Transfers between Seville Aiport and Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium not included

Exact timings are TBC but will be morning of match and then flight home post-match, and anyone wishing to register their interest should contact their local Barrhead Travel store or call 0141 222 2223. Places will be available on a first come first served basis until flight is full.

Barrhead sees demand surge for Rangers’ European final

Barrhead Travel has reported a surge in demand from Rangers football fans hoping to see their team secure Europa League glory in Seville – and has announced its first charter flight for the final.

Rangers defied expectations to beat RB Leipzig and secure a 3-2 aggregate win at Ibrox on Thursday night and will now take on Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, May 18.

The details of the charter are yet to be confirmed, but the agency said prices would start from £849 and options were being explored for further flights.

Jacqueline Dobson, Barrhead Travel president, said: “Overnight, we have been inundated with demand from Rangers fans looking to head to Seville to celebrate their team’s success. We’re drawing on all of our key suppliers to get the best value offers ready for those intending to travel.

“As demand is exceptionally high for Seville, we’re being creative with our packages and have offers available into the surrounding areas such as Malaga and Faro which will allow easy access.”

She added: “This is a once in a lifetime trip for many Rangers fans. We’re pleased that we have been able to quickly react to demand and help hundreds of fans realise their dreams of being in Seville while their team plays in the final.

“Most importantly, anyone booking our exclusive flight or any of our package holiday options can rest assured that their money is completely financially protected.”

To date, the Scots travel agency has two exclusive charter flights and has now secured further availability on a newly launched charter via a key partner.

Rangers fans have been issued a warning to book direct chartered flights being put on from Scotland to Seville for the Europa League final by today.

Barrhead Travel have already put on two exclusive charter flights and has secured a third via one a key partner after 'strong demand' from football fans.

Rangers fans will need to book the flights by 4pm today - Friday, May 13 - if they want a secure a place on the plane.

Fans have been scrambling to make the trip to the Spanish city ever since Rangers made it to the Europa League final, which will take place on Wednesday, May 18.

Tickets for two previous chartered flights put on by Barrhead Travel have sold out.

Now Rangers have until the 4pm deadline to book on to another flight - and it will set dedicated Rangers supporters back £1,300.

It is one of the few direct routes into Seville for fans and will depart from Glasgow on the day of the final (May 18) at 6am, arriving at 10.05am.

The two-way return flight will then leave Seville the following morning at 4am, to arrive back in Glasgow at 6.30am.

Match tickets, transfers and accommodation are not included in the costs.

Barrhead Travel managed to secure further availability on the newly launched charter via one of its key partners. It's still pursuing a third chartered flight, however it has not been secured as of yet.

Barrhead secures charter flight so fans can watch Rangers in Europa League final

Barrhead Travel has confirmed it will run a charter flight after being inundated with demand from Rangers fans who want to travel to Seville for the Europa League final later this month.

And the company said it is continuing to look for additional charters to meet demand.

Travel enquiries have boomed since Rangers got through to their first European final in 14 years after a 3-1 victory against RB Leipzig at Ibrox on Thursday night.

The next game is the final against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, 18 May and Barrhead’s charter will depart Glasgow on the day of the final, returning after the match. Prices start from £849pp.

Barrhead President Jacqueline Dobson said: “Overnight, we have been inundated with demand from Rangers fans looking to head to Seville.

“This is a once in a lifetime trip for many Rangers fans. We’re pleased that we have been able to quickly react to demand and help hundreds of fans realise their dreams of being in Seville while their team plays in the final.

“There is still very high demand for travel to Seville and the surrounding areas and we are continuing to work with our travel partners to secure packages and will continue scouting for additional charter options.

“This is a momentous occasion for fans, so we anticipate that demand is only going to continue rising.

“Most importantly, anyone booking our exclusive flight or any of our package holiday options can rest assured that their money is completely financially protected.”

A SCOTS travel agent is planning to arrange a third chartered flight to Seville amid "exponential demand" from Rangers fans.

Light Blues supporters are desperate to make it to the Spanish city for next week's Europa League final.

Barrhead Travel has already chartered two return flights to the sun-drenched city.

The Glasgow-based travel agent said there has been "exponential demand" for flights and packages, with "back-to-back enquiries" since Friday.

Tens of thousands of Rangers supporters are expected to swamp Seville ahead of the showdown next Wednesday night.

Barrhead Travel secured a chartered flight to Seville soon after last week's historic result.

Tickets for the plane, which will leave Glasgow on Wednesday and return shortly after the final, sold out within hours on Friday.

With sky-high demand and a long waiting list, the travel agent arranged a second return flight, also departing Glasgow and returning soon after the match.

But the second chartered flight has also sold out, with seats costing £849 each and charter bookings not including match tickets.

A Barrhead Travel spokesperson told The Scottish Sun they're hoping to charter a third plane to Seville.

Jacqueline Dobson, president of Barrhead Travel, said: “Since Friday, our branches have reported back-to-back enquiries from Rangers fans who are eager to be in Seville for their team’s historic match in the UEFA Europa League Final.

“With limited options into Seville from Scotland and supply for the surrounding areas quickly being outstripped by demand, our team was able to quickly assemble exclusive product for our customers.

"Our teams have worked tirelessly over the weekend to bring the charter service to fruition and will continue sourcing alternative options to meet the buoyant demand."

Rangers fans pay £1,000 each for seats on private jet to Seville

As well as flights to Seville, Barrhead Travel said many customers have been booking package holidays to the surrounding areas, including Malaga and the Algarve, Portugal.

Despite their being few routes left to Seville from Scotland, there are still flights available from English airports.

Ms Dobson added: “Travel to the Algarve and Costa del Sol with durations of 4-7 nights have been snapped up by those fans who plan on making a holiday of it.

"There are still some feasible options left for departures from some English airports, but we expect availability will sell out this week.”

Last week, Seville was the travel agent's most popular destination for the first time ever.

Rangers will take on German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final, which will kick off at 8pm next Wednesday.
