This itinerary lists all the places you can reasonably expect to visit on your cruise between the Hunter River and Derby. It is likely, however, that there will be additional places of interest visited on the actual cruise, time and tides allowing, which is why we prefer not to give you a day by day itinerary. The Captain aims to maximise the cruising experience for all passengers, so he will decide when and where he will take you during your 12 nights on the Kimberley coast. In this sense, every cruise is a little different and each passenger’s experience unique.

A huge one is the boat layout. Many other Kimberley cruise boats have limited outdoor access, especially those that have a helipad on the top deck. On Discovery One, the top deck is entirely open to passengers, complete with shade cloth, sunbeds and spa, so we spent most of our days and evenings with 360º views of the glorious surrounds.

With a maximum of 22 passengers and a crew of 6, Discovery One Kimberley cruises offer friendly, relaxed experiences for a small group of explorers. We cruise from March to September offering 10 to 15-night cruise packages. Early in the Season we run the Waterfall packages - March, April, and early May - moving you between Darwin and Broome.

Discovery One is a modest but comfortable boat offering good value Kimberley cruises to travelers seeking genuine experiences. We don't do gourmet food but good tasty wholesome meals that are served banquet style at shared tables on the alfresco deck. We don't have doors on cabins but heavy curtains to dampen night time noise.
