By Air: Corbett National Park does not have its own airport, however the closest air access points include Dehradun Airport in Uttarakhand, about 156 km away, and Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, approximately 243 km away. Flights from across India land at Delhi Airport, while several operate in Dehradun as well. Once at the airport, you can travel to your destination through a road journey via a cab or the well-maintained bus transport system.

By Road: To reach Jim Corbett National Park by road, you can avail the extensive road network connected to NH34. The most common route from Delhi is approximately 245 kilometres which takes around 6 hours. Various buses, from Government to Private, including AC and Sleeper coaches, operate from Delhi, Ramnagar, Dehradun, Gaushala, and Kotdwar, connecting the wild heaven of Corbett National Park to the outside world.

By Rail: Corbett National Park enjoys good connectivity through two nearby railway stations. The Ramnagar station, just 12 kilometres away, serves as a convenient access point with regular train services connecting to New Delhi, and subsequently to major cities across India. The popular Ranikhet Express and Sampark Kranti trains are good choices for travellers commuting between Delhi and Ramnagar. Alternatively, the Kathgodam Railway Station, situated approximately 60 kilometres from Jim Corbett National Park, offers another gateway. Taxis and cabs are readily accessible from Kathgodam, allowing for a comfortable 3.5-hour road journey to reach the park.

Additionally, this has become one of the best zones in the reserve to spot a variety of tigers. You can opt for a day or evening safari to this zone to explore the area more comfortably. However, the maximum number of jeep safari is limited so that the natural habitats of the animals don’t get disturbed.

6. Sitabani Safari Zone: The Sitabani Safari Zone is located outside the Jim Corbett National Park near Teda Village and is considered the buffer zone. In this zone, you can easily spot various animals such as deer, wild boars, sambars, and Nilgai. Since it is a buffer zone, spotting tigers here is rare. However, you may catch a glimpse of them hunting sometimes. Apart from animals, this zone boasts around 600 bird species and most of them are migratory birds like brown dipper, plumbous, forktails, and wallcreepers. Some of the animals you can encounter in this region include tigers, deer, wild pigs, hog deer, and barking deer. Moreover, this zone is a paradise for bird enthusiasts. Tucked away in the foothills of Himalayas is a beauty in disguise of a national park, a place that we so fondly refer to as the ‘Jim Corbett National Park’ . Ideally located in Nainital district of Uttrakhand, the Jim Corbett National Park is coined to be the oldest national park of Asia. How to reach Jim Corbett

The nearest city that is well accessible to Jim Corbett is Ramnagar. The city is advantageous owing to an excellent road network connected to cities like Delhi, Nainital, Moradabad and Bareilly. The national park has an excellent road connectivity with Delhi, situated at a distance of only 260 kms. The Corbett National Park is merely 30 minutes away from Ramnagar and only 15 kms away from the Ramnagar Railway station.

Moreover, Ramnagar Railway station is frequented with trains leading to cities like Delhi, Moradabad and Bareilly. We had a lot of fun on a 3 days trip to malani Jim Corbett park with Girish ji. He as a guide has been a wonderful companion on this trip with detailed information of all our sightings. And cherry on top is we could see the tiger cubs on the very first day. Girish ji made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. A wonderful experience everyone should have.

It was an awesome experaince. Mr Girish ji himself was our guide and he did not leave any stone untouched to satisfy us. We saw 8 tigers, many dears, elephants, jackals, peacocks, birds etc. we did 5 safaris out of which we saw tigers in 4 safaris. Mr Girish is a very well behaved, knowledgeable person who knows the area very well.

We planned to travel Nainital and Corbett and looking for a good person who managed our travel very well. Mr. Girish managed all the bookings of hotels and Corbett safari very well and provide the very good service in the whole tour. We enjoyed the trip very well and the specifically the car driver is very good. I suggest to contact if you plan any travel around Delhi.

Had a wonderful time at Corbett with Girish ji and his team. Went on 4 safaris with him and saw a tiger, lots of elephants, various deer, peacocks, eagles and othet birds. A person genuinely passionate and loves what he does. Takes every effort to give you a positive experience. Very knowledgable about the flora and fauna of the area and has a tremendous ability to spot and identify birds from their calls. Highly recommend him amd also dont miss dikhala.
