We feel privileged to live in such an amazing region and constantly look for ways to preserve and protect it.  You can help in many ways: by using our recycling waste centres, reducing the amount of single-use plastics that you bring or simply arrive at the café with your own cup for morning coffee.

We are next door to the amazing Litchfield National Park, making us the ideal base to explore the Magnetic Termite Mounds, Buley Rockhole, Florence Falls, The Lost City and countless other attractions.

Discover the Hidden Gem: Litchfield Safari Camp

Discover the Hidden Gem: Litchfield Safari Camp

Most of us will at some point have heard friends gush enthusiastically about an undiscovered holiday destination. These places boast peace, quiet, natural beauty and comfort. They’re the holy grail of modern-day nomads, and they’re not easy to find.

We’re going to let you into a secret. Litchfield Safari Camp is one of these places. Litchfield accommodation is set in an unspoilt area of outstanding natural beauty far from the crowds. It offers creature comforts without the need to compromise on mindful tranquillity.

Read on as we step inside this natural paradise and we walk you through what Litchfield Safari Camp has to offer.

Your Introduction to Litchfield Accommodation

Our tastes vary and change. It’s part of what makes us human. There may, for example, have been a time when camping in the wild held an irresistible appeal. A career or having kids can change all of that.

We may not wish to spend valuable time off roughing it, even if we haven’t entirely lost our taste for adventure. A stay in one of our freshly renovated safari glamping tents combines luxury with the “sleeping under the stars” sensation.

You’ll be able to curl up under fine linens on a super-comfy king-size bed in the fully air-conditioned tent with its luxurious ensuite facilities.

Camping or Cabins: the Choice Is Yours

If you fancy a traditional camping experience, the range of Litchfield accommodation allows guests to pitch their own tents on powered and unpowered sites. You’ll have the full support of the generous camp kitchen, refreshing showers and modern bathroom facilities.

Get right up and close to nature and relax in the shade of the park’s trees. If you want to enjoy off-grid life for a while, then this is the place to come.

The options don’t end here, as Litchfield Safari Park also has cabins available. Our recently completed two-bedroom cabins can sleep up to seven guests. Each cabin has a fully kitted-out kitchen and en-suite facilities for an authentic home-from-home experience.

The cabins are ideal for families or groups of friends looking for a stress-free getaway. You can cook indoors or barbecue outdoors in your own private area. There’s a small fridge for keeping the beers and wine cool, too.

Make Memories with Families and Friends

A stay at Litchfield Safari Camp takes the holiday experience to a whole new level. Litchfield Safari Camp is somewhere you can set up a home in a gorgeous beauty spot and spend quality time with friends and family.

Allow yourself to become enveloped in nature’s warm embrace. The stresses of work and the daily grind will soon lift. You can immerse yourself and relax to the sounds, sights and smells coming from these stunning natural surroundings.

You’ll be able to share stories after dinner as you roast marshmallows in one of the designated campfire areas.

Fire releases chemicals in the brain that make us feel safe, happy and calm. Science shows that food cooked on a campfire or barbecue really does taste better. It all adds to the complete outdoor experience.

The Creature Comforts In The Kitchen

We’ve paid great attention to detail because we want to bring our guests closer to nature by encouraging them to share food and drink in the open air. That’s why we provide a fully equipped communal camp kitchen.

The cabins and glamping tents have their own individual kitchen facilities, from toasters to kettles, as well as a small fridge and barbecue area. We’ve even ensured the drinking water is specially filtered. We’ve put convenience centre stage so you won’t waste a moment of your stay.

Check Out Our Latest Arrival!

We’re pleased to announce our most recent star attraction, the swimming pool. We’ve always invested heavily with an enhanced guest experience in mind. We know that access to a swimming pool can make or break a decision about a family holiday. We’re delighted to have ticked such an essential box.

Enjoy the Complete Litchfield Experience

What makes a stay at Litchfield Safari Camp so unique is that your closest neighbour will be Litchfield National Park. You’ll probably have caught a glimpse of it on your journey to our camp, the nearest accommodation to all the big attractions.

Once settled in, you’ll be free to enjoy the park’s breathtaking wonders. You’ll be just 5km from Wangi Falls and directly opposite the Cascades Waterfalls car park. The park offers a wealth of hiking opportunities, ideal for enjoying a picnic, and two mountain bike trails as well.

You’ll be able to swim in the crystal clear waters at Buley Rockhole. Take a trek to the Lost City , a series of impressive towering sandstones that create the impression of ancient ruins.

Native wallabies and kangaroos, flying foxes, dingoes and possums all live in Litchfield National Park. At Tolmer Falls , you’ll find caves full of rare orange-leaf-nosed bats. The park is a nature lover’s paradise.

Litchfield Safari Camp Caters for Every Kind of Traveller

It doesn’t matter if you can’t live without your home comforts or if you can’t wait to ditch them. Litchfield Safari Camp has you covered with its range of accommodation types.

If you prefer, you can detach from modern life altogether, make a campfire and sleep under the stars to the rustle of leaves on the trees. Alternatively, you can still be mindful of nature but enjoy the comfort of a luxury safari glamping tent or a cabin with your own private bathroom.

Whichever Litchfield accommodation is right for you, it’s going to give you that “great outdoors” feeling. It’s a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Feel your shoulders relax as you breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the attractions of Litchfield National Park right on your doorstep.

A Guide to the Most Beautiful Green Spaces in Moscow

Izmailovsky park in Moscow

Home to more parks than any other city in Russia , Moscow offers a cornucopia of choice when it comes to green spaces. From innovative wild urbanism to 18th-century royal estates, here are the best places to escape from the city buzz in Russia’s capital.

Spread over a territory of almost 300 acres, Gorky Park is Moscow’s most popular green space. Opened in 1928, it was designed as ‘a city inside a city’ with its own telegraph, police unit and a doctor’s office. Some 90 years later, Gorky Park offers everything from segway rides to an open-air movie theatre, through to illuminating lectures and fantastic dining spots.

9 Krimsky Val, Moscow, Russia , +7 495 995 00 20

Gorky Central Park, Moscow – Russia

As the name implies, Muzeon is perfect for art lovers. The park plays host to art fairs, exhibitions, music festivals and video performances. But even if you don’t care for art, Muzeon has a lot to offer: from an elegant boardwalk to hip coffee shops to an in-ground fountain, where you can actually cool off in summer.

2 Krimsky Val, Moscow, Russia , +7 985 382 27 32

Krymskaya embankment, Muzeon

Hermitage Garden

Opened in 1894, the Hermitage garden is a lovely compact park, nestled between high rise buildings in Moscow center. Home to theaters New Opera, Hermitage and Sphera, the garden is predictably crowded, with theatre-goers along with office workers from the business centres in Tverskaya – all flock here for a green respite.

3 Karetnyy Ryad, Moscow, Russia , +7 495 699 04 32

Sokolniki Park

An open-air cinema, a rope course, amusement park, bike rentals and more – Sokolniki is 1,275 acres of fun. In winter the whole park turns into one of Moscow’s most famous skating rinks. Sokolniki gradually blends into Losiny Ostrov National Park – the world’s third largest forest in a city.

1 Sokol’nicheskiy Val, bld. 1, Moscow, Russia , +7 499 393 92 22

Izmailovsky Park

Moscow’s biggest park, Izmailovsky stretches for almost 3,800 acres. Particularly favored by hikers and cyclists, the forest-like park is a popular family spot, equipped with a ferris wheel, outdoor gyms and all kinds of places to eat.

Boat station at Izmailovsky Park in Moscow

Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve

Tsaritsyno estate is a perfectly reconstructed specimen of 18th century architecture set amid a lush green forested area. The only park in Moscow that boasts a light and music fountain, Tsaritsyno draws crowds with spectacular night water shows.

1 Dol’skaya Ulitsa, Moscow, Russia , +7 499 725 72 87

Severnoye Tushino Park

Despite a rather remote location, this park is definitely worth a visit. A half-a-century old apple garden, serene views on Khimkinskoye reservoir and a dry-docked submarine housing a Museum of Submarine Navy will definitely make up for the ride from the city centre.

Ulitsa Svobody, Moscow, Russia , +7 495 640 73 55

Kolomenskoye

Kolomenskoye Park is not merely a tranquil green space, but a celebrated museum reserve, where nature and historically significant architecture blend together. Here you can see one of Moscow’s oldest churches Church of the Ascension and a former residence of the Tsar Aleksey Mikhailovich Romanov, the father of Peter the Great. It’s also perfect for romantic walks along the Moskva river.

39 Andropova Ave, Moscow, Russia , +7 499 782 89 17

Apple orchards in Kolomenskoye (Moscow)

In this park you’re guaranteed to encounter some ducks, woodpeckers, squirrels, hares and urban wildlife. The park is also famous for its beautiful boardwalk, open-air cinema, ropes course Panda Park, gallery of retro cars and a variety of places to eat.

22/1 Ulitsa Bol’shaya Filevskaya, Moscow, Russia , +7 499 145 45 05

The former estate of the Sheremetev family, Kuskovo is a fascinating piece of 18th-century Russia. Home to 20 unique architectural monuments, it is Moscow’s only historical park with a French formal garden, decorated with green walkways, marble statue and state-of-the art pavilions.
