PartyNextDoor (born July 3, 1993) is the stage and recording name of Jahron Brathwaite, a Canadian hip-hop and R&B singer, songwriter and producer, haling from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Whilst still in his teenage years Jahron Brathwaite had began crafting his electronic blend of R&B and hip-hop under his real name. After deciding on the moniker PartyNextDoor, Brathwaite signed with fellow Ontario-native Drake’s label October Very Own in 2013, which afforded the young Canadian heaps of new exposure. PartyNextDoor’s recording debut came with the single “Make a Mill” released on October’s Very Own Blog.

In July 2013 arrived the singer-songwriter’s eponymously-titled debut EP, led by the singles “Make a Mill” and “Wus Good / Curious” on Soundcloud. Brathwaite’s subsequent single “Over Here” featuring Drake reached No. 47 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and aided the EP’s success which reached No. Six on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart. Before returning to the studio to focus on his full length, PartyNextDoor contributed to Drake’s third studio album “Nothing Was the Same” on the tracks “Own It” and “Come Thru”, and embarked on a tour alongside Drake and Miguel.

Brathwaite’s full-length “PartyNextDoor Two” was issued in July 2014 and earned respectable reviews from the musical press. Led by the promotional singles “Her Way” and “Recognize”, the album peaked at No. 19 on the Canadian Album chart, No. 15 on the U.S. Album chart, and No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

In December 2014 PartyNextDoor released his second EP “PNDCOLOURS” once again on the label October’s Very Own. After collaborating with P. Reign and Meek Mill on the single “Realest In The City” and Travis Scott and Young Thug on the single “Nothing But Net”, Brathwaite was enlisted to contribute to Drake’s 2015 album “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late”.

It was probably the worst experience I've had at a concert and I've been to many many concerts. We drove 3 and a half hours to come see this artist and wait 2 and a half hours in line. Doors opened 30 minutes after scheduled time because he wanted to do a sound check when he pleased. Once we got in we waited 2 and a half hours for him to come on stage to only get a 20 minute performance from him and he just walks off stage to take a break for as long as he wanted because he was feeling "under the weather" and "sick". So we just left. It was huge let down. Waste of money and time. I was told by other fans he did the same exact thing at his last tour. For someone who isn't a big artist he's already acting like a diva and could care less about his fans. He's just about getting his money and give a subpar prefornance.

I went to the summers over tour last night at the Filmore Silver Spring and it was AMAZING! The opening acts were pretty good and Jeremih was reallyyyy good. It was this girls birthday so they let her on stage and she tried to kiss him! It was hilarious. We waited for Party for a while, which was fine. The only annoying part was that they replayed the same songs a couple of times. When Party finally came out the energy completely changed everyone was screaming. I was soooo excited because this was my first time seeing him live and I love him and his music SOOO much<3 I literally know every lyric! His preformance was sooooo great! It seemed so short but it probably wasn't. If you have a chance to go and you like partynextdoor OR jeremih, DEFINITELY go!!!

PartyNextDoor's concert was amazing! I would definitely redo the whole night.He had fans that knew every song and would just rap along with him. During times fog would come out and he just changed the atmosphere! He paused and gave my state a shout out and gave us a brief description of how he's doing and why he loved our state. Best moment was when he left and everyone assumed the concert was over, but he quickly came out, when everyone chanted out his name, giving us 'Recognize.' Love this guy.

He was okay. I would give him a four if anything. He left the stage after every song for about 10 seconds. He came out late and when he did he rushed through songs to make up for the time slot. It was a very unorganised concert. The audience were bored and on their phone for majority of his performance because one he was hardly performing and two because it was lame. However he sang well.

This event was not only a waste of money but also a waste of time. The "Performer" arrived almost towards the ending and did not perform for his fans everyone which resulted in everyone being utterly upset. I am definitely not a fan of his music anymore a real artist would've performed properly...

Great concert, amazing light show, chill vibe, amazing mix of hip-hop/r&b infused with some sick bass drops! If you get a chance to attend don't sleep on PND! He has worked on a lot of projects for Drake so if you're into drake and with the OVO / OMO movement you have to be there!

It was horrible the club didn't let PND perform they made us stand for 4 hours and kept saying PARTY IN THE HOUSE but it wasn't actually a show. It was just an appearance. They made us all believe it was a show. DO NOT GO TO THE OHM NIGHTCLUB!!!!

It wasn't even a concert partynextdoor only showed up for the money and performed only one song 10 minutes before they closed the club I expected a concert after waiting 4 hours for him to show up.

I only wanted to see jerimiah. I got a refund instead of attending. These artists need to get it together and make money instead of behaving like little kids. I traveled from another state for this show only to have my time wasted.

So good, instrumentalists came and had a chat at the end which was nice, great show and very good stage presence, thoroughly enjoyed 10/10 would go back, would’ve liked to have heard songs sex on the beach and since way back

Later this year, Canadian R&B revolutionary PartyNextDoor will be teaming up with Chicago-based rapper Jeremih for a 19-date trek across North America. Their Summer's Over tour kicks off November 8th in Miami Beach and stretches into early December visiting major markets like Atlanta, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles. The tour may reveal some of the projects the two have been working on for their upcoming album 'Late Night Party' .

PartyNextDoor released his sophomore album 'PartyNextDoor 3' on August 12th, 2016 via OVO Sound and Warner Bros. Records. The album soared to #3 on the Billboard 200 and reached #4 in Canada and #11 in the UK. In early 2015, he launched his PND LIVE World Tour which hit North America and Europe. Back in 2014, he opened for Drake and Lil Wayne during their massive Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour and then headed out on his own fall tour across North America.

PARTYNEXTDOOR Announces European Dates for ‘Infinity World Tour’

PARTYNEXTDOOR is ready to ride out on the European leg of his ‘Infinity World Tour.’

After recently releasing Seven Days , PND hit up social media to announce his upcoming tour. Rising R&B singer Jessie Reyez will serve as his opening act.

The tour is scheduled to begin in Dublin, Ireland on Feb. 4. It will take the ‘Cartier’ crooner through the Netherlands and Germany before ending in Sweden in March.

This past weekend, PND was reported to have been arrested and charged with Seventh-Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Party was allegedly in possession of Xanax and Oxycodone.

He posted on Instagram his response to the reports, which he later deleted.

It has been four years since the release of PartyNextDoor’s last album, Partymobile . Since then, he’s been teasing the long-awaited follow-up, PartyNextDoor 4 , releasing sporadic singles like “ Her Old Friends ” and blaming any delays on getting sidetracked by … I don’t know if “love” is the right word, but certainly his tendency to get caught up in relationships that don’t work out.

But, the album is nearly here at last, along with a slew of planned headlining performances at festivals like Broccoli City and Afro Nation . Party fans have plenty to look forward to this summer. Meanwhile…

PARTYNEXTDOOR Drops Four New Songs, Announces World Tour

While you were tucked away in a peaceful slumber last night (Dec. 2), PARTYNEXTDOOR  was following in his mentor Drake’s footsteps and released four new songs.

The 'PND Colors' series is a dreamy and euphoric ode to romanticism through his eyes. ‘Let’s Get Married,’ ‘Girl From Oakland,’ ‘Jus Know’ featuring Travi$ Scott and ‘Still Got It’ with Ca$h Out make up the project.

Maintaining his balance of trippy drug mentions and vividly professing heartbreak and love, PARTYNEXTDOOR gives his future wife an ultimatum on ‘Let’s Get Married.’

“I finally realized what I need / Can only be royal if you loyal girl / And all I need is a woman who will agree with everything that I do / And get naked for me when I walk through / All I need, make it feel like forever / When it's temporary, let's get married,” he sings on the opening verse of the track.

While the 'Colors' releases may have arrived out of the blue, for PND there are no signs of slowing down. Fresh off his 14-date fall tour, the OVO singer also announced his PNDLive World Tour. The North American stint kicks off in 2015 on Jan. 29 in Seattle, Wash., and ends on March 14 in Minneapolis. He'll then pick up again for the European leg on March 24.

Nicki Minaj Brings Gag City to Los Angeles, PartyNextDoor Delivers the Hits and More From Rolling Loud 2024

After Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign’s non-performative headlining performance for Rolling Loud on Thursday (March 14), the hip-hop festival officially opened its doors Friday night for its first full day. Nicki Minaj gave an exhilarating headlining slot on March 15, taking the stage for an almost-hour set that brought Gag City to Hollywood Park.

Barbz who have been keeping tabs on the setlists across her recently launched tour would clock several omissions, but her curtailed set played like a greatest hits mixed with standouts from her most recent release. She emerged at the top of a flight of stairs to “I’m the Best,” running into “Barbie Dangerous” and “FTCU.” Flames shot up behind her for “Beep Beep” and a brief snippet of “Beez in the Trap” before a costume change that led to “Chun-Li” and “Ruby Red da Sleeze.” She hasn’t forgotten her roots—standouts included “Super Bass,” “Roman’s Revenge” and her iconic verse from Kanye West’s “Monster” (of course, West “headlined” the night before her, though a recent difference of opinion on releasing their collab “New Body” for West’s “Vultures” probably precluded any surprise West appearance).

Before Gag City became the sole destination of the evening, PartyNextDoor — also known as Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, the first artist signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label — touted the biggest crowd of the night, bringing a nostalgic display of his greatest hits for all the R&B enthusiasts in the crowd. Since the Canadian singer only recently started to perform more consistently, fueled by the incoming release of his fourth studio LP, there was a palpable urgency for fans who showed up to this set and Party more than delivered. Backed by a team of background dancers and a three-piece band, the singer-songwriter lived up to the hype with a seamless setlist that included “Come and See Me,” “Persian Rugs,” “Break From Toronto,” “Sex on the Beach,” and even a sultry cover of “Work” by Rihanna, a song he co-wrote.

Early eye-popping sets from hot hip-hop acts including Sexyy Red and Jeleel! demanded festival-goers arrive earlier than later since the admission lines got more unbearable later in the evening. At one point, general admission shut down in the hour before Minaj was set to take the stage. Some attendees were seen scaling the fences mere feet away from security, who ignored it. But inside, Rolling Loud was a well-oiled machine.

YG and Tyga’s joint set was a fun favorite for West Coasters with a love for 2010-2014 hip-hop: “The Motto,” “Rack City,” “Faded,” and “Toot It & Boot It,” plus covers of hot songs from local rappers like Ambjaay’s “Uno,” set the tone for the night. YG also brought out special guest Saweetie for a flirty performance of “Richtivities.”

The only thing that was an obvious miss in this lineup was the loss of música Mexicana hitmaker Junior H, who along with Natanael Cano, had been invited as special guests but were removed in the days leading up to the festival. Jimmy Humilde, CEO of both artists’ Rancho Humilde label, had voiced his frustration at Rolling Loud on social media, claiming that the festival had canceled on them with little notice. He also claimed Rolling Loud was “racist” for using his artists for sales and then forcibly removing them from the lineup. The festival issued a statement to Rolling Stone , and later blasted it on social media, to assert that the two artists were cut from the lineup because Cano had issues with his visa and Junior breached his radius contract — a clause that protects the festival from artists doing multiple shows to not compete for ticket sales. Humilde has denied these claims and the festival has no further comment.

Outside of the action on stage, much of the Park’s concrete lots were scattered with sponsored booths and endless activities from Karaoke to a skateboard park. Power 106 opted to play Latin and easily digestible hip-hop hits while other DJs entertained traveling crowds with occasional merch giveaways and lively trap beats. One of the most enjoyable parts of the festival was also witnessing the way attendees were dressed — Nicki stans were easily identifiable, traveling around in hordes of hot and neon pink.

The Rolling Loud Festival will run through March 17 with performances from headliners Post Malone, Metro Boomin and Future still to come.

PartyNextDoor Unleashes His Highly Anticipated 'P4' Album

The 14-track effort includes the previously released tracks, "Her Old Friends," "Resentment," "Lose My Mind," and "Real Woman."

PartyNextDoor  knows that good things often take time — and a lot of work.

After years of anticipation, the OVO artist returned with the fourth installment of his self-titled music series, which kicked off with his 2013 debut EP. PartyNextDoor 4 marked PND’s first proper album release since 2020’s Partymobile and his first project since 2022’s Partypack .

The Grammy-nominated singer spoke about the effort during a recent interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, explaining why he decided to expand his PND series nearly eight years after its last installment. 

“Just where I was in my personal life, how motivated I was, it just reminded me of where I was during that sequence,” he told Lowe. “So it naturally had to be PND 4 . It had to be. I’m so excited for this album. I’m also excited for how much work I put into it.”

PND announced the album in May 2023 while sharing the stage with OVO boss Drake . He told the crowd he was going to go on tour, before Drizzy confirmed there was new music on the way: “Yeah, he droppin’ PND 4 ,” he said, “because they don’t write like us anymore.”

On April 1, PND revealed the album’s official drop date and its NSFW cover art , featuring model  Lanazia Greene (aka MaamiNextDoor).

PND4 was supported by a handful of singles, including “Her Old Friends,” “Resentment,” “Lose My Mind,” and “Real Woman.” You can stream the project now on Apple Music and Spotify .

PartyNextDoor Will Head Out on Tour Next Year

Despite his alleged legal troubles, PartyNextDoor is heading out on the road for his Infinity World Tour, and part one is going overseas next year. The first installment of the tour kicks off in Dublin, Ireland on Feb. 4, 2018, and is slated to hit a total of 15 dates in key destinations all over Europe.

The Toronto singer unveils the locations for the upcoming tour by posting the flyer to Instagram, revealing singer Jessie Reyez will be joining him along the journey throughout the continent. The two musicians will be hitting up venues in Paris, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Copenhagen and other major cities.

At the moment, Party is currently on the road with Halsey for her  Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour, which is slated to wrap up on Nov. 22. in Cleveland, Ohio.

It may be a smart decision for the Canadian native to take a couple months off the road from Nov. 2017 to February of next year before going overseas, as he was recently arrested for alleged drug possession in New York. The  Colours 2  vocalist was entering the U.S. when his tour bus was stopped by authorities, leading to him and a friend being arrested. Hopefully, he can get the case sorted before heading out on tour again.

PARTYNEXTDOOR ‘PARTYNEXTDOOR 4’ First Week Sales Projections

This past Friday saw PARTYNEXTDOOR drop his first new body of work in four years, with the highly anticipated fourth instalment in his self-titled series. P4 seems to be a hit with fans and just a day after release, we have an estimate on how well it looks like it’ll do commercially first week.

The album is on pace to sell 33 – 38k copies first week. This is a small but noticeable drop off from his last album PARTYMOBILE , which sold around 50k first week when it dropped right at the start of the pandemic.

Stay tuned throughout the week for updates before sales numbers are final next Friday.

With April coming to an end, music is still in full swing with a bunch of new releases.

It’s a big day for hip-hop and R&B, as Normani teamed up with Gunna for the sultry “1:59,” which is set to be featured on the former Fifth Harmony singer’s long-awaited solo album, Dopamine , out June 14. “I know what it’s like to put out music and records that I don’t wholeheartedly believe in. When we were in [Fifth Harmony], we didn’t have the opportunity to have a real opinion until the last project we did,” the singer tells  ELLE  in a new cover story. “I promised myself, ‘If God gives me another opportunity to do things in my own way, I’m not going to take that for granted.’”
