Suri Cruise, the 17-year-old daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, was photographed looking just like her famous mother as she bundled up on a walk in New York City Sunday.

She kept it casual for the midday stroll, wearing gray sweatpants, a T-shirt, a navy blue jacket and brown flats.

Suri went makeup-free for the outing as she tied her hair up in a ponytail and accessorized with drop earrings.

It’s unclear where the teenager was off to, but she held on to a pink water bottle as wired headphones hung out of her pocket.

The brunette beauty is occasionally seen wandering around the Big Apple , often out on errands.

Suri was last spotted with Holmes, 45, last month as the mother-daughter duo walked through Soho with big smiles on their faces.

A few months before, the two made another rare appearance together as they celebrated the “Dawson’s Creek” alum’s 45th birthday in the city.

In 2019, the “Batman Begins” actress gushed over her mini-me in an interview with Shape magazine, revealing they like to work out together.

“I feel very blessed to have such a special daughter. Being her mom is absolutely the greatest gift and privilege,” she told the outlet. “Sometimes I work out with my daughter. It just depends on the day.”

Last year, Holmes also shared she’s always been protective of her daughter “because she was so visible at a young age” due to her and Cruise’s fame, per Glamour.

However, Suri is rumored not to hold the same bond with her father amid reports she’s been estranged from the “Top Gun” actor , 61, since his 2012 divorce from Holmes.

The “First Daughter” star and Cruise welcomed their daughter in April 2006 and wed a few months after her birth.

The last person the actress was romantically connected to was musician in Bobby Wooten III from April 2022 until December 2022 .

Meanwhile, the “Mission Impossible” star was dating Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova , but cooled off a little bit after an insider claimed Cruise “felt things were moving too fast.”

Katie Holmes reveals the story behind the surprise guest star in her latest film 'Alone Together'

Katie Holmes didn't have to look very far to find the right singer to croon the cover of "Blue Moon" that plays over the opening credits of her new movie, Alone Together . The actress wrote, directed and stars in the COVID-era romantic comedy — now playing in theaters and arriving on VOD on July 29 — which features the singing debut of her 16-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise.

"I always want the highest level of talent," Holmes tells Yahoo Entertainment about how the mother-daughter collaboration came about. "So I asked her! She's very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That's the way I direct in general: It's like, 'This is what I think we all want — go do your thing.'" And Holmes teases that her daughter's singing career won't be a one-and-done affair. "She actually did sing in Rare Objects , which is the film we did last fall," the director says of her recently completed third feature, a period drama based on the 2016 bestseller by Kathleen Tessaro. But don't expect a Suri Cruise arena tour anytime soon. "Other than that, she's a 16-year-old kid doing high school," Holmes says, laughing.

There's a special connection that Holmes and Cruise share to "Blue Moon" as well. The director cites the 1987 Diane Keaton comedy Baby Boom as one of the influences on Alone Together , and is an avowed fan of all things Keaton in general. Not coincidentally, the Annie Hall star covered "Blue Moon" in Rob Reiner's 2014 film, And So It Goes . "Diane met my daughter when she was a year old," Holmes reveals, which makes Cruise's rendition of the classic 1934 ballad in Alone Together a sweet full-circle moment.

Speaking of full-circle moments, Alone Together is going into wide release 25 years after Holmes made her feature film debut in Ang Lee's The Ice Storm . The future Dawson's Creek superstar was only 19 years old when she landed the small, but memorable role of Tobey Maguire's high school crush in that critically acclaimed 1997 drama. Reflecting on that movie a quarter-century later, Holmes says she can see how that formative experience with Lee shaped her own creative evolution into a filmmaker.

"That shoot was so exciting for me — it was my first job," she recalls. "When I was there, I didn't really understand what was happening, but in looking at the film many times after, Ang's ability to capture worlds is so incredible. I think that he's such a poet in the way that he shoots a scene, and the dialogue he uses and how that tells the story in a very simple way. It's all about finding the simplest way to get your story across."

Alone Together pairs Holmes with Jim Sturgess as a pair of New Yorkers who separately make the decision to flee the Big Apple at the height of the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020. They both end up booking the same upstate Airbnb and, after some initial uncertainty and confusion, end up taking shelter together. Needless to say, their relationship eventually takes a romantic turn.

Discussing Holmes's directing style, Sturgess praises her ability to let the performers in front of the camera figure out a scene as they're going along. "She gives you this incredible space between action and cut," the 44-year-old actor says. "She very rarely shouted, 'Cut!' actually! You'd think the scene had ended and she just kind of left it hanging. I love that she was always searching for those little nuggets of authenticity."

Like Holmes, Sturgess is celebrating his own cinematic anniversary this year. Fifteen years ago, the British actor made his big Hollywood debut alongside Evan Rachel Wood as the star of Julie Taymor's 2007 musical Across the Universe , inspired by the Beatles's immortal back catalogue. Although the film had a mixed critical and commercial reception upon its release, it has become a cult favorite among fans of unconventional movie musicals, thanks to memorable set-pieces like a spirited song-and-dance sequence in a bowling alley scored to "I've Just Seen a Face."

"I remember being pretty sore after that sequence," Sturgess says now. "We really did try and learn how to slide down these bowling alleys and everyone was genuinely falling over because they were greased up. When you watch the movie [now], you realize they were only interested in the falling down parts, and we were trying our best to stay up! I have great memories of making that film, and I'm bound by that experience to the rest of the cast. We still keep in touch."

So would Holmes and Sturgess reunite for a movie musical of their own? "Absolutely," Holmes says with genuine delight. "I would be honored." And, of course, that film would have to include her daughter performing "Blue Moon" on-camera. "Me and Suri in a movie," Sturgess enthuses. "There you go."

Katie Holmes is celebrating her mini-me daughter Suri Cruise 's birthday with some rare pictures.

To celebrate her daughter turning 15 on Sunday, Holmes, who is famously private about the teen, posted three Instagram photos of Suri taken throughout the years. Homes shares the teen with ex-husband Tom Cruise , to whom she was married from 2006 to 2012.

In one of the pictures, Holmes cradles her look-alike daughter in arms. In another, Suri smiles for the camera while giving mom a big hug.

"Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!!" Holmes wrote in the caption. "I can’t believe you are already 15!"

Other stars gushed over the cute photos in the comments.

"Happy birthday," commented Viola Davis, adding a heart emoji.

"Happy happy 15th!!" wrote "Good Witch" star Bailee Madison. "Can’t believe she is 15 now. All my love to you both"

Though Holmes is known for keeping her daughter out of the spotlight, the "Dawson's Creek" star, 42, opened up about bonding with Suri during the coronavirus pandemic  in her November cover story for Vogue Australia .

"Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be," she wrote. "To listen. To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift."

Holmes also recalled how spending time with a friend with a young child made her reminisce about raising Suri.

"Taking time in Washington Square Park with a friend whose little child was taking his first steps brought me back to when my own child began to walk," she wrote. "I felt nostalgic and in awe of the power of time and the continuation of life."

What 14 Year Old Suri Cruise's Life Is Like With Mom Katie Holmes

“You’d struggle to find a mom-daughter duo who are more in sync with each other,” a source told Us . “They’re a real team—their connection is a beautiful thing to witness.”

A second source said that Cruise has a close group of friends and is "well liked." She is also a talented athlete. “Suri is very naturally athletic and excels at physical activities like gymnastics and dance,” that source said.

Katie doesn't post about her daughter often, but she shared two tributes on Suri's birthday. "💕Happy Birthday Sweetheart!!!!!!! 💕 I am so blessed to be your mom. May this year be incredible! 💕💕💕💕" she wrote in her first one.

Her second shot was one of her daughter from behind. "Birthday vibes 💕💕" Katie wrote.

Katie spoke to ELLE.com in November about how she tries to be a fitness role model to Suri. "My dad ran the Boston Marathon when he was 45," she said. "I mean, that really set the bar for me. Like, 'Oh, I want to do that. He can do that. That's so cool.' I think it's nice when you have someone who's setting that example. I mean, I like to set nice examples and work out but not be too obsessed or anything like that for my own daughter."

The Creator Of Suri’s Burn Book Never Got Burned

Ten years after the launch of Allie Hagan’s infamous Tumblr, the writer reflects on how she found herself at the epicenter of celebrity blogging — and emerged relatively unscathed.

Writer Allie Hagan was a twenty-something policy consultant living in Washington, D.C., in the late aughts when she noticed a new trend among her favorite tabloids. Suddenly, in order to pump more content into their nascent websites, grocery-store-checkout-aisle staples like People and Us Weekly weren’t just covering A-list actors and pop stars but the very tiny, very cute children of said A-list actors and pop stars. Photos of Brangelina’s twins Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt graced the cover of People in 2008, as did the announcement of J.Lo’s twins, Maximilian David and Emme Maribel Muñiz . Hagan was amused by the tabloid’s newfound toddler fascination, and she, too, saw the editorial potential. So she started a Tumblr dedicated to the luxurious travails of Hollywood’s youngest paparazzi magnets in 2011. There was just one crucial element to figure out. “I knew that if I wrote it from the perspective of myself, it would just be kind of creepy and mean,” she tells Bustle. “So I had the idea of like, ‘Oh, what if I wrote it from the perspective of one of the [famous] kids?’”

Deciding which celebrity toddler to channel was easy. At the time, there was perhaps no baby more famous than Suri Cruise. The only child of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes was a star from the moment she was born on April 18, 2006: Her official entrance into the world was shrouded in mystery, as Cruise reportedly insisted on a Scientology-approved “silent birth” for Holmes. Interest in baby Suri only increased when online gossipers alleged that she was a publicity stunt and didn’t actually exist , until her baby photos — taken by Annie Leibovitz — made the cover of Vanity Fair . (Others theorized that she was the reincarnation of L. Ron Hubbard .) By age two, Suri was running around New York City with her parents, flashing fake $100 bills to the paparazzi . By three, she was wearing glittery silver high heels for a night at the ballet. By the time Suri turned five in 2011, Hagan had plenty of material to work with. Her anonymous Tumblr, Suri’s Burn Book, was born.

Hagan thought her idea could be at least a fleeting success. Celebrity-focused Tumblrs like “Old Loves,” which chronicled celeb couples from days past, were big on the platform. “Someone would have a funny idea and their Tumblr would be the biggest thing on the internet for 10 days, and then they would run out of steam because it's really just a quick joke,” she says. “When I had that idea, I thought, ‘Oh, this will be funny for two weeks.’ And then celebrities just kept having babies and doing silly things, and I realized there was a lot more content.”

Quite a lot more. As A-listers started playing ball with the tabloids and paparazzi, bringing their young children to movie premieres , dinners out on the town , and their daily coffee runs , there was no shortage of stories about the Jolie-Pitts or the Beckhams or the Parker-Brodericks on which to comment. Hagan began posting daily paparazzi photos of Suri and her famous-toddler peers with imagined commentary from the reigning tabloid princess herself. In Suri’s Burn Book, no child of A-list actors was safe: the voice of Suri accused Violet Affleck of wearing hand-me-downs, criticized Harper Beckham’s “lowbrow” Facebook birth announcement, and rolled her eyes at Apple Martin’s “pattern clashing” beachwear.

In Suri’s world, every celebrity child was disappointing: They weren’t dressing nicely enough, their names were stupid, or they were taking the wrong kind of paparazzi photos. The tone was in line with other popular celebrity blogs of the day like Perez Hilton and Lainey Gossip — snarky, image-obsessed, and at times, very funny. Much like those gossip juggernauts, Hagan’s quippy posts also quickly went viral, with Time naming her blog its “Tumblr of the Week ,” and Perseus Books Group offering her a book deal . Of course, there are posts and entries in the book that don’t hold up. In the 2012 book of the same name — for which, upon publication, Hagan came forward as the author — Hagan-as-Suri details which celebrity families she thinks are “old money” and “new money,” which is a class conversation you probably wouldn’t have with as much glee in 2022.

Two years after Hagan started the project, the celebrity-baby landscape finally started to change. A-list parents including Halle Berry and Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard launched a campaign to block the paparazzi from taking photos of their children, while also discouraging tabloids from buying such photos. The campaign slowly changed the nature of celebrity baby coverage online and in the tabloids. Now, famous parents like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Mindy Kaling, and Gigi Hadid have opted out of putting their children in the spotlight, forcing tabloids to blur their kids’ faces in paparazzi photos. Bloggers like Perez Hilton, too, have had to apologize for how they talked about those kids on their gossip sites.

“The internet in 2012 was just such a negative place,” Hagan says, reflecting on the tone of celebrity gossip at the time. “I don't regret anything, but I definitely wouldn't even do that project now.” That’s not to say that no one would: writer Natalie Franklin currently runs the Instagram parody account “Nori’s Black Book,” which follows North West and boasts 1.6 million followers. She told E! last year that she was inspired by Hagan to create the account.

That lack of regret is also bolstered by the fact that Hagan emerged from the blog relatively unscathed. In all her years running Suri’s Burn Book, she said she never heard from anyone in Holmes or Cruise’s camp. She also says that no celebrity publicists or attorneys ever reached out to her or asked her to take anything down. “Tom Cruise was always known as being litigious . I for sure thought that something would happen there, but it never did,” Hagan says. Though she does have theories as to why the blog didn’t bother the actor. “Tom and Katie were clearly very, very public about Suri's life. There was definitely a PR strategy going on there, right?”

Even today, Hagan credits the blog, which she stopped posting regularly on in 2016, as the project that launched her into the entertainment world and started her professional writing career. The strength of her writing as Suri got her an entertainment manager in 2011; she went on to co-create the ABC legal drama Notorious in 2016 and made the Black List with her script When In Doubt, Seduce in 2017. She is currently working on multiple projects, including adapting Elin Hilderbrand’s novel 28 Summers for the screen.

Hagan is also glad that despite the chaos of the mid-aughts, Suri has emerged relatively unscathed, too. In the years since her parents’ divorce , Suri now appears to be a somewhat normal, confident teen. She has two chihuahuas, goes to a private school in Manhattan, and favors jeans and t-shirts over sparkly heels. Every so often, the paparazzi catch her walking to get an ice cream cone with her mom, but the fervor surrounding her every move has significantly subsided as she’s gotten older. “I still have the Google Alert for Suri Cruise that I've never taken off,” says Hagan. “There were pictures of her and Katie out today, and her life seems much more normal now. I'm glad for that.”

On April 18, 2006, Suri Cruise was born in Santa Monica, California, to Hollywood superstar couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, at the time publicly known as " TomKat ." Holmes had been previously told Seventeen magazine  that she "used to think that I was going to marry Tom Cruise," so the public became enchanted as Holmes and Cruise, over the course of a year and some enthusiastic couch-jumping, eventually did begin to date in 2005. The couple quickly become engaged and announced they were expecting a child together in October 2005, according to  People . Cruise was reportedly so excited that he even  bought a sonogram machine in order to see baby Suri in utero.

The name Suri, according to Cruise in an interview with  Vanity Fair , came from a baby-naming book, and means "red rose."  CBS News reported that Suri was born weighing 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and measuring 20 inches long. 

"It was everything that we wanted it to be," Cruise said in an interview days after the birth with "20/20's" Deborah Roberts (via  ABC News ). "It was spiritual. It was powerful. It was indescribable. What words can you use? It's still something that I'm processing and keep reliving."

She was the most special guest at her parents' wedding

Suri was the guest of honor at Cruise and Holmes' wedding on November 18, 2006. The new parents shared nuptials in a star-studded ceremony inside the 15th-century Italian Odescalchi Castle outside Rome (per  Us Weekly ). The lavish celebration reportedly cost upwards of $3 million , and featured a dinner serenade by Andrea Bocelli, and not one but two Armani wedding gowns worn by Holmes throughout the night. 

According to Hello! Magazine , Katie wore one of the two gowns as she arrived to the castle, carrying a 7-month-old Suri. The celebrity guest list included Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, David and Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Leah Remini. According to E! Online , also in attendance were Cruise's two older kids  Connor and Isabella (whom he adopted with Nicole Kidman); Holmes' maid of honor, her sister Nancy Blaylock; and Cruise's best man, Scientology leader David Miscavige.

Throughout the course of their six-year marriage, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes became persistent tabloid icons — as did Suri Cruise. What happened to Suri during TomKat's divorce?

Tom and Katie called it quits in the summer of 2012. According to CBS News , Cruise said he "didn't expect" Holmes to file for divorce. He received the news while on set for his film, "Oblivion," per  People . Proceedings moved swiftly, and the couple reached a settlement after just 11 days (per InStyle ). Holmes was awarded primary custody of Suri in the divorce, with Cruise gaining visitation rights. While Holmes did not receive spousal support in the settlement with Cruise, according to The Hollywood Reporter , Suri is set to receive $400,000 in child support per year until her 18th birthday. Cruise is also required to pay for Suri's expenses, including medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs.

"We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests," a joint statement read (via  The Hollywood Reporter ). "We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents."

Suri has a complicated relationship with father Tom Cruise

Tom and Suri Cruise haven't been seen in public together since a visit to Disneyland in 2012, as reported by Yahoo . According to Us Weekly , the "Mission: Impossible" leading man has the right to see his daughter up to ten days a month, but chooses not to, allegedly because of Holmes and Suri's distance from the Church of Scientology. According to Huff Post , Tom admitted that post-divorce, Holmes and Suri were no longer practicing Scientologists. 

In a deposition with Bauer Media, Cruise was asked whether he and the church considered Holmes a " Suppressive Person ," or someone who tries to keep others down. "That is a distortion and a simplification of the matter. I don't want to just give an oversimplification of religious doctrine," Cruise said. According to Scientology expert Rick Ross, Church followers are taught to avoid Suppressive Persons (SPs) and "Potential Trouble Sources," (PTS). "Tom Cruise would not want to come in contact with an SP. And if he views his daughter as a PTS, which is very likely, he would not be that excited about dealing with her either," Ross told  Hollywood Life .

In June 2014, InTouch  reported that Cruise had not seen or spoken to his daughter in 1,000 days. In April 2019, an insider told Hollywood Life that Tom "still loves" Suri and that "Tom never intended to be estranged from his daughter," and "looks forward to repairing the relationship one day."

Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes delight in mother-daughter bonding

After the divorce, Katie Holmes was granted primary custody, and immediately uprooted Suri Cruise from California to NYC. According to the  NY Daily News , Holmes enrolled Suri, then 6 years old, in first grade at Avenues, a Chelsea private school with a $40,000 tuition. In an interview with InStyle , Holmes opened up and confessed that the time post-divorce was "intense" as a newly single mom. "It was a lot of attention, and I had a little child on top of it. We had some funny moments out and about in public. So many people I didn't know became my friends and helped us out, and that's what I love about the city," Holmes said. 

While Suri's digital presence is highly curated and limited, even on Holmes' own Instagram , the mother-daughter duo doesn't hold back when it comes to displaying their  close relationship during public appearances. "I do a lot to put perspective on life," Holmes said. "We help out the homeless. We do small acts of kindness. I don't over-gift. I don't inundate my child with a lot of things. We're trying to raise good humans and some days we're better at it than others. We just focus on what she's passionate about and how you feel when you achieve your goals." She continued, joking, "I also demand a 100 on a spelling test!"

She quarantined with mom in NYC during the pandemic

Katie Holmes said she and Suri Cruise were in and out of New York during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020, according to Yahoo Entertainment . The duo remained quarantined in their NYC apartment during lockdown. Holmes even shared a candid photo of Suri celebrating her 14th birthday on her Instagram . "This lockdown has had a lot of silver linings. It was a beautiful moment. I think when you have less, you are more creative," Holmes told " Entertainment Tonight " in an interview. "This year has also been a reminder that the simple things are really beautiful and that is, those are the gifts of life," she said. 

In an interview with  Yahoo Entertainment , Holmes was asked about how she felt about Suri (and her NYC classmates) possibly re-entering school in a post-COVID pandemic environment. "I want everyone to be safe as possible," she said. "It's a hard one: I have no expertise on this in terms of health measures, but I just want to be as smart as possible for the whole community and to really prevent anyone from getting sick. My heart really goes out to all the people who have lost people."

Teen Suri stuts the streets of NYC like a runway

As an independent teen, Suri sightings are becoming more frequent in public as the teen explores NYC with her friends. According to Hollywood Life , Suri Cruise is looking more and more like her mom Katie Holmes every day — and becoming a Gen-Z style icon. During a visit to the Harry Potter store in the Flatiron district of Manhattan, Suri and friends were seen rocking Slytherin house colors and bringing back 2000s clothing staples like floral midi skirts and converse sneakers (possibly raiding her mom's "Dawson Creek" character Joey Potter's closet?). This wasn't the first time the young starlet stepped out in vintage threads: She's been spotted bringing low rider flare jeans back in style, too (per Hollywood Life ). Holmes and Suri's mother-daughter bond is still going strong as well, with Momma Holmes showing off their adventures in tie-dye together on Instagram . 

"I love her so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality. To make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident, and able. And to know it. She came out very strong — she's always been a strong personality. She'll pick an activity and work her butt off until she's really good at it. Then she's like, 'OK, I'm going to try the next thing.' She's very focused and a hard worker," Holmes said in an interview with InStyle .

Suri Cruise celebrated her sweet sixteenth birthday in April 2022. The teen still keeps a low profile online, but every now and then proud mom Katie Holmes will send out a loving post on Instagram to celebrate with fans. Holmes' last Instagram  post featuring Suri was for her daughter's birthday the year before, with the caption, "Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! I can't believe you are already 15!"

Nevertheless, witnessing her daughter transform and grow over the years hasn't always been easy for Katie Holmes. "Every day, kids get a little further away from you," she told Town & Country (via HuffPost ). "That's a positive thing. They should be becoming more independent, but it's heartbreaking." She continued, saying, "You want them to stay with you forever, but they're these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need ― and then they're going to go. And that's going to be very, very sad for me."

In June 2022, Katie Holmes introduced Suri to her new boyfriend, Bobby Wooten III (via  Stylecaster ). Suri is growing up to look like like her mother

Suri Cruise is Katie Holmes' mini-me. In 2023, Suri was photographed buying flowers on Mother's Day, and the young woman is the spitting image of her mother. Over the years, headlines everywhere have noted how similar the mother and daughter look to each other, but now that Suri is almost an adult, the resemblance is even more uncanny. The duo share the same long, chocolate brown hair, angel face, and sweet, signature smile . Suri reportedly wants to attend fashion school

Considering the outfits of Suri Cruise have garnered the attention of fashion blogs and enthusiasts alike, it's no surprise that the style icon is reportedly considering attending fashion school in New York City when she graduates from high school.

"Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really does want her to stay in New York so they can be close to each other. It's reported that Holmes is helping Suri with applications, while the only input her estranged father Tom Cruise will have is paying the college tuition costs as per the divorce agreement between him and Holmes.

Fashion school seems like the perfect choice for Suri, as she was already dishing out fashion advice to her mom at the age of four. "Like today I'm wearing brown suede pants, and [Suri] said, 'I don't like your pants.' But then she'll say, 'You've got to wear these shoes.' Or 'That's so pretty, Mom. Wear that.' She's got a great eye," Holmes told Elle in 2011 (via People ). Suri's interest in fashion no doubt stems from her mother, whose name these days is more synonymous with fashion than it is acting. Holmes is always in attendance at fashion weeks, she's graced the covers of multiple fashion magazines, and even co–founded her own clothing label in 2008 called "Holmes & Yang." 

Suri likes staying active

It's no secret that Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes do everything together, and that includes working out. In an interview with Shape magazine, Holmes opened up about her workout routine and more importantly, her workout buddy. "Sometimes I work out with my daughter. It just depends on the day," she said. "We have our routines, and occasionally they overlap. But I don't force her to work out with me because I know that's lame."

The two have been workout buddies for a while. In 2019, Holmes and then-13-year-old Suri were photographed leaving a yoga studio together, decked out in stylish yoga gear. It seems Holmes, who works out 4 times a week, is passing down her healthy habits and active lifestyle to her daughter. "Working out gets me ready for what's ahead and releases whatever frustrations I might have. Afterward I'm like, 'OK, now I can focus on what's right in front of me," Holmes told Shape.

Suri is often photographed strolling the streets in athletic wear. While it's unknown whether she's just visited the gym or gone for a run, her love of workout gear and toned physique makes it clear she stays in shape.

Suri is living life like an average teen

"What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her," Holmes told Glamour.

Of course, not many "normal" teenagers can say they've had their voice featured in their mother's films, but that's as much as Suri's been involved in Hollywood so far. "Other than that, she's a 16-year-old kid doing high school," Holmes told Yahoo Entertainment. Holmes has done a good job, when you consider the lavish lives  and high-profile exposure of other celebrity children. We've seen Blue Ivy sing on stage with her mother Beyonce, we've watched the Kardashian children grow up on TV, and we've double-tapped countless pictures of Stormi Webster on her mom Kylie Jenner's Instagram page. Meanwhile, Suri is content taking her dogs for walks and watching "Dirty Dancing" with her mom like any normal teen. 

"My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now," the Dawson's Creek actress told Town & Country (via Page Six ). "It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood."

The 17-year-old was seen in New York's Soho while walking with some friends.

Suri is the daughter of actors Tom Cruise , 60, and Katie Holmes , 44.

She was wearing a black tank top and a knee-length denim skirt which gave early 2000s vibes.

She paired it with several silver bracelets and a black string choker necklace that had a large silver flower on it.

On her feet were black sneakers and tall white socks that were scrunched down at her ankles.

Suri Cruise Is Growing Up Fast

In April 2006, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes welcomed their daughter  Suri Cruise . The fascination with Suri has always been high, with some people referring to her as the most famous celebrity child in the world. From her gorgeous looks to her uncommon name, just about everyone has been fascinated with Suri at one point or another. "We had the name before we found out because we both thought the baby would be a girl," Tom told Vanity Fair after Suri's birth. "Some friends of ours sent us two [baby-naming] books. She had a full head of hair and appeared to be the perfect mix of her parents. "She has Kate's lips and eyes. I think she looks like Kate," the "Top Gun" actor told the publication. "I think she has Tom's eyes. I think she looks like Tom," countered Holmes. 

On the inside pages of the magazine, Suri became a star. She appeared in an impressive 22-page spread along with her parents, smiling and peering into the camera as if she was made for exactly this moment. And no one was disappointed. Millions of people viewed the first photos of Suri, and the outlet is said to have broken a one-day record with some four million people clicking in for a look. Perhaps even more shocking, when Suri was only three months old, TMZ reported that magazines were willing to pay upwards of $5 million for the first photos of Suri, which is quite a pretty penny for a tiny human who had only been earthside for a handful of months.

In her interview with InStyle, Holmes expressed the excitement she had for moving to Manhattan with Suri and what a great experience it has been for both of them.

"Yes, it's a little too exposed at times, and we work hard to maneuver and navigate. But what I love about New York is that for me and my child, this is our vibe. When there are 25 things to do every night, it takes you out of your own thing," she said. The private school, located in the Chelsea district, requires its students to wear uniforms.
