The guide was nice, car was clean but we and about 10 other cars we passed saw no elephants on our day. I wouldn't recommend for small children, they take you to a cliff look out, with beautiful views to look out for an hour but had no guide rail. No safe for little children, lots of ants and bee's. However, the main complaint is that instead of driving around trying to find them (which is what we were expecting), we simply got out at viewing points to look into the distance to see if any appeared. Even if they had, they would have been difficult to really see, and certainly not the close up experience that the promotional images lead you to believe and that we have enjoyed on other tours. Boat ride to two snorkelling spots. Great buffet lunch at the resort followed by a visit to the turtle conservation project and then some free time at the beach. It was a long day. The trip to Bridge over river Kwai, Hellfire Pass, the museums and Railway of Death was informative, but very hard- you can’t avoid getting emotionally hit by the cruelty the workers faced in the Second World War. The trip also included beautiful waterfalls and an unforgettable night at Madatara Rafthouse - we will cherish these experiences forever - and highly recommend it for everyone. I rented a new bike for the day for B450 and paid B500 entry which included a tram tour of the estate and wine tasting. If there are two of you on the bike it's even cheaper. A few other interesting birds and a dinner at the end, but if you don't get good elephant sightings then it would be a real busy. We were lucky enough to see plenty (about 19) hence the review. Tuk-Tuks in Hua Hin
Since many of Hua Hin's streets are narrow, tuk-tuks are able to go places cars cannot.
Hiring Tuk-Tuks requires passengers to negotiate the fare before setting out. You can find them in front of all the major hotels, resorts and condominiums. Each Tuk-Tuks hubs have their own regular drivers and passing by Tuk -Tuks are not allowed snatch customers from these spots. Typical prices for Tuk - Tuk or car taxi journeys within Hua Hin is between 100 ? 200 Baht. Tuk-Tuks in Hua Hin are more sizeable than those in Bangkok with their rears being expanded for a capacity of 4-6 persons. Mostly catering to visitors on one-day touring. Major Tuk-Tuks hubs are found in front of the Hua Hin train station, Hua Hin Night Bazaar, Hua Hin Marriott Hotel, the main beach entrance near Sofitel Hotel, and the road opposite to Hua Hin Wittayalai School.

Sam Roi Yod
About 40 minutes drive south from Hua Hin you will find Sam Roi Yod National park. The park is known for the mountain of 300 peaks.
Our tour starts from the hotel and further to the park. We start with taking a fishing boat from Ban Pu fishing village through the canal and get off on the beautiful beach where we take a walk up to the Tham Phraya Nakhon Cave. The cave has a big hole through which a shaft of light reaches and permits the growth of various kinds of plants. Phra Thi Nang Khuha Kharuhat, a Thai style pavilion, lends the most attractive sight to the cave and has become the symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan. It is a four-porched building first constructed in Bangkok in 1890 during the reign of King Rama V.
Back on the beach having lunch and spend some time relax on the beach before heading back to Hua Hin. On the way back we make a stop at pineapple plantation and test the fresh pineapple right from the roadside.

Today (April 30) is your last chance to register for the Hua Hin Marathon 2024.
Registration for the event closes at 23:59 on Tuesday (April 30).
The start and finish point for the race is Wat Khao Krai Lat, Nong Kae, Hua Hin.
The marathon expects to draw over 3,500 participants, including both Thai and international runners, across four categories: the full marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21 km), mini marathon (10.5 km), and the fun run (5 km).
Organised by the Preserve Hua Hin Group and various other partners, the marathon helps to raise funds for the Krailas Eco-Project and the preservation of the Khao Krai Lat mangrove.
