Trail your feet in the cool waters of the Breede River, while toasting the good life with a glass of Viljoensdrift wine on board their elegant flat-bottomed river boat named Uncle Ben 2.

The approximately 1 hour-long meander along the river, flanked by indigenous Breede River Yellowwood and Wild Olive trees teeming with a variety of bird species, sets the scene for a leisurely riverside experience. Fill your picnic basket to the brim with sumptuous fare from our deli and enjoy your picnic during your trip down the river. What better way to spend a laid-back afternoon with family and friends?

The 50 minute river cruise comes at a mere R100 for adults and R30 for children between 3 and 12 years. Babies are welcome too. Kids below the age of 3 are free of charge.

R40 wine tasting of any 4 wines before or after the cruise The boat departs daily at various times depending on reservations.

Thereafter there will be trips hourly depending on bookings. Advanced bookings essential. Check-in 45 mins. prior to departure.

A lovely, peaceful trip on a beautiful river boat, as was expected. An asset to the Robertson Valley. The location is scenic, and has not quite reached the unfortunate status of being too commercial, but that risk should be watched. Soft drinks at the deli were quite expensive, while the cruise itself was priced reasonably. The staff is helpful and friendly. One would hope that loud, corporate groups that take the cruise to celebrate an occasion, would not be mixed with tourists that simply want to enjoy the serenity of the river and it's surroundings.
