Zac Brown Band Announces “The Owl Tour” Spring 2020 Dates

Today, multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning, Zac Brown Band announced they are extending their highly successful summer 2019 “The Owl Tour” to include spring 2020 dates.

“The Owl Tour” celebrates and features music from the band’s newest album, The Owl , as well as hits from the band’s entire discography and a diverse range of cover songs that have become a signature part of any Zac Brown Band show. Featuring the dynamic melodies they have long been known for and new, genre-bending sounds, the album and tour draw inspiration from the mythology and mystery surrounding the Great Horned Owl that can see perfectly in the night, serving as a guide when we need sight even in the darkest of moments.

The spring 2020 leg of “The Owl Tour” follows this past summer’s epic, 32-stop tour that brought the band to some of the nation’s most storied music venues including Boston’s Fenway Park, where Zac Brown Band played two consecutive sold-out shows, extending their record to eleven consecutive sold-out shows – the most of any other act at the famed venue. The spring 2020 leg of ‘The Owl Tour’ will feature support acts from Amos Lee and Jason ‘Poo Bear’ Boyd throughout the run.

“The Owl Tour” Summer 2019 leg marked Zac Brown Band’s third consecutive touring run within the span of a single calendar year, playing to almost three quarters of a million fans. “The Owl Tour” effortlessly showcases their dynamic chemistry and unforgettable live act, whether they’re performing fan-favorites or just-released tracks from the newest album.

“The Owl Tour” hit #1 on Pollstar’s Live75 chart and earned high praise across the country. The Boston Globe said, “[Zac Brown Band’s] blend of chops, spirit, and knowing exactly how to please a crowd has made them one of the summer concert season’s most reliable draws, always ready for a good time but also keenly aware of how to keep an audience on its toes.” The Pittsburgh Post Gazette also praised the show for “taking fans on a 28-song emotional roller coaster filled with classics and covers.”

Tickets will go on sale to general public beginning Friday, November 22 at 12pm local time at LiveNation.com . The Zamily Fan Club pre-sale will begin on Tuesday, November 19 at 12pm local time. Zac Brown Band is a country/folk group from Atlanta, Georgia which features 8 members including Zac Brown as lead singer. They made their debut in 2004 and have released 6 full length studio albums. Their most recent effort is “Welcome Home” which was released in May of 2017. Welcome Home has the singles “My Old Man” and “Roots”.

Zac Brown Band is most famous for the songs “Chicken Fried” and “Knee Deep”.

2019 was a big touring year for Zac Brown Band. They started off with the Down the Rabbit Hole tour and led straight into The Owl tour after that. In November of 2019, the band announced that The Owl tour would be expanded into 2020. Those plans were cut short when the pandemic started. However, Zac Brown Band was one of the first to announce a new tour in 2021 with The Comeback. He followed that up with the Out in the Middle tour in 2022. In 2023, he is doing the From the Fire tour, another headlining effort.

Zac Brown Band will kick off its 2022 Out in the Middle Tour on April 22 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.

The 34-date North American outing ends Nov. 19 at Phoenix’s Chase Field and includes four previously announced dates, including stadium shows in Frisco, Texas, and Akron, Ohio.

Promoted by Live Nation, the tour includes stops at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, Boston’s Fenway Park (where Zac Brown Band holds the record for most consecutive sold-out shows), New York’s Citi Field and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.

“Performing in front of millions of fans around the world is one of the most electrifying and humbling feelings,” Brown said in a statement. “We’re so excited to go back out on the road and keep the unbelievable momentum going from [2021’s] ‘The Comeback Tour.’ It’s been such an incredible year for the band, debuting some of the best music we’ve ever made, and we are thrilled to continue playing live for our amazing fans.”

Caroline Jones, who performed as a special guest with Zac Brown Band during The Comeback Tour, will once again join the band. The Robert Randolph Band will open the majority of shows with other support acts to be named later.

The tour comes after Zac Brown Band returned to the top of Billboard ’s Country Airplay chart for the first time in five years in November with “Same Boat.” The song was the group’s 14th No. 1 and its first chart-topper since the act signed with Warner Music Nashville.

A presale for Citi cardmembers begins Jan. 18, following by a presale for Spotify and LiveNation on Jan. 19. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Jan. 21 at ZacBrownBand.com .
