Ashleigh was the best tour guide EVER! We are visiting from Los Angeles and wanted to see the three sisters at the Blue Mountains. This trip gave us that and more. The Featherdale wildlife park gave us a great up close kangaroo/koala experience, as well as a chance to see some of Australia's bird and reptile species. Lunch in Luera was delicious, and the town was adorable. Following that was the trip to the Blue Mountains, and finally a nice ferry ride home. Ashleigh's knowledge combined with her engaging personality made the whole experience that much more inviting! Great job!

If I could give it 6 stars I would. We booked the tour to see the Blue Mountains through the Viator app. It was super easy and straightforward. The app immediately sent us two vouchers annd confirmation of our bookings. The tour started at 7:50 am and we took a ferry back and arrived at Circular Quay in the city by 5:45 pm. More about the ferry ride back later. The tour included: 1. Three Sisters Lookout Point 2.Tram and cable rides at Scenic World and a short hike on the Scenic Walkway 3.Lunch at Loaves and Dishes Cafe 4.Entrance into Featherdale Wildlife Refuge. On the day of the tour, the bus picked us up at our hotel the Hilton Sydney. They make a number of pick ups from other hotels. If your hotel is not on the list then you have to meet them at one of the designated hotels. A tour coordinator approached us to get our names. She checked us in on her list and gave us an envelope with tickets for the forthcoming destinations. The bus was a big comfortable climate control vehicle. Our driver/historian/entertainer was magnificent !! He only mentioned his name once at the beginning of the tour and I didn't catch it. In any case, he was terrifically knowledgable about the history of Sydney and the Blue Mountains. He was funny and kept us entertained throughout the whole day. In addition, he clearly instructed us on how to navigate through the different destinations with keen details. His instructions were extremely spot on and helpful. There was a lot of time designated for each destination. We never felt rushed. i On the way back many people opted to book a ferry ride back on the river cruise. We didn't buy that option but the bus driver told us that we still could pay for the ferry ride at the dock. We chose to do that thinking that the bus would run into Sydney rush hour traffic. I highly recommend that you take the ferry ride option. It was a beautiful, peaceful ride back to the city center and only took 30 minutes. We're not sure how long the bus took but surely it wasn't as scenic. In addition, the b So to get on the ferry, we had to purchase tickets. At the dock, there was a vending like machine where you can buy a ticket to get on the ferry. It was $8.50 AUD/person. The ferry made a few stops along the way to pick up other passengers. We thoroughly enjoyed every facet of the tour. It takes you to gorgeous areas of our Sydney trip that we wouldn't have otherwise been able to see on our own. The operators were extremely professional and well informed. It was worth every penny of the approximately $98/person for two people. Viator had a special 10% discount if we purchased on the mobile app. Also follow my food adventure on IG @tazebudshawaii Happy Travels !

We did the Blue Mountain/wildlife park tour. John S. Our guide was very informative, helpful and humorous. He made our day so much fun!!!! We made some stops that were not crowded so we could get some great photos. I would highly recommend this tour, our favorite of our trips in Australia. The Blue Mountain National Park is beautiful with the The Three Sisters and Orphan Rock formations along with the walk through the rainforest area. The stop at Loaves and dishes was quite nice, just to let you know that they serve Kangaroo burger also, very good. The chef might make you one before lunch if you ask nicely. Love the cable ride, and different systems to get up and down the mountain especially the backwards one at the end. Featherlake Wildlife Park is amazing so up close and personal with the animals. Feeding the Kangaroo and so many Koalas.

Me and my friends took a tour today to the blue Mountains and Featherdale Wildlife Park and we could not have had a better tour guide ! Roland is the greatest ! He kept us laughing all day and gave us a lot of valuable information about Australia and the places we visited . Thanks Roland your the best

This is regarding the Blue Mountains tour. Bus into the wilderness. Neither the sky gondola nor rail-train into the rainforest below were worth the money to me personally. You get a slightly better view of the waterfall from the gondola, but you're better off walking around in the area near the pick up & drop off location. But, I've had the fortune of seeing several rainforests before, so if that's something new to you, you may have greater appreciation for it! The cultural center was ok. The views of the 3 sisters was the best part. Animal Habitat was lots of fun, getting up close & personal with kangaroos, wallabies, penguins, koalas, etc. River cruise back to the harbour was unnecessary but fine. Overall, a little expensive, but if you only have a couple days in Sydney, this isn't a bad tour to tick several things off your list.

If I could give no stars, I would. My mom, brother, and I went on the Blue Mountain Wildlife Park Tour with AAT Kings Tours. The three of us travel the world and I must say, I was baffled at the tour guides attitude. He seemed great at first, enthusiastic, and what not, like every tour guide should be. In a way they're representing their country. (What's the point of paying for a tour guide when we weren't being given information by him? We all did our own thing. 1. The Blue Mountain Tour was nothing like the tour they depicted. There was no "walk in nature," which was the vibes I got when I read the tour description. The place we went was more of a tourist attraction than to actually learn about Australias outback. This amusement was NOT worth two hours each way in a bus. 2. In any tour group, whether we want it to happen or not, one or two people are BOUND to be late. Unfortunately, my family and I went to the wrong pick up location (along with several other people). I tried to talk to the guide about being late and he was not friendly at all. 3. We had lunch cards given to us (the inclusive lunch). There was a specific time slot we had to eat lunch. The tour guide never specified that we could use the lunch card during this time. He was very vague, spiteful, and we ended up not having lunch because of his inability to be clear in his instructions. Horrifying day. (It doesn't end here) 4. The zoo we went to was not worth the hype. We were told it was "illegal" for a nonprofessional to hold a koala. So the $25 picture we took was just touching the koalas bum. Kangaroos were in an enclosed gate, we could only watch from a distance. (We recommend going to the Currumbin zoo near Gold Coast if you really want to get up close with kangaroos). 5. On the way back we had an option of either taking the ferry (which isn't included) or the bus back. We took the ferry and we must say that the FERRY RIDE BACK WAS THE BEST PART OF THE TRIP. This trip is not worth your time, energy or money. Don't do it.

The Blue Mountains Day Tour with AAT Kings was one of the highlights of our travels in Australia. Our tour guide/driver, Rhys (sp) was relatively new, but so knowledgeable, attentive and fun. He even provided sing-along entertainment on our drive! We also had an added bonus of free wifi while we road on the motorcoach! Our day trip included a stop for morning tea in Leura, a cute little upscale shopping area. We even had time to explore and old-fashioned candy store that had a huge variety of old school and locally made candies and a combination quilt/yarn/sewing/clothing shop right next door before we had to head back to our motorcoach. Scenic World was our next stop, to view rock formation the Three sisters, and other gorgeous canyon vistas. We took a glass-bottomed tram ride down into a canyon, and had ample time to casually stroll some of the forest walkways, taking in some wildlife, and an old coal mine, and then rode "the world's steepest railway" back to our point of origin. It really was steep...and quite scary since you're going backwards. I'm sure that was for the best view, but I wasn't looking! Despite a nearby brush fire, the air was crisp and fresh. The "blue" air (from aerosolized eucalyptus oils") was probably a bit more gray than usual, but really, the fire didn't dampen our views too much. Conservation Hut Cafe was our lunch destination. Set on the edge of another canyon, again with spectacular panoramic views, the restaurant menu was centered on locally sourced foods, and it was delicious. My entree was a trout hash topped with a fried egg. Kind of like an Australian loco moco! It was just right--not too heavy but very tasty. My first taste of their panna cotta for dessert has convinced me that it is definitely worth attempting to make myself someday. Featherdale Wildlife Park was exciting as we got to see a variety of native Australian critters...of course the koalas, kangaroos...but hand-feeding the wallabies was so neat! And watching a Tasmanian devil attack his meal was crazy! Our trip ended with a drive by some of the sites of the 2000 Olympic games on our way to catch a ferry to cruise back to Sydney Harbor. The harbor cruise is really scenic, and while we had already cruised the harbor from a different direction the day before, there was still much to see. The trip was the perfect way to end our stay in Sydney and I'd recommend it to everyone!

Blue Mountains/Jenolan Caves Day Tour ($119) Tours only run on Mon, Tue, Thurs, and Sat. You have to email them to request a booking. You can choose to give them your credit card information or if you prefer, you can pay cash on the bus. (However, if your hotel is one of the first pickups, they might drive to their offices to pick up more people there. And if they do that, you can pay by credit card in person) If you see a tour company - Down Under Day Tours, it's the same company. ( http://www.downunderdaytours.com.au/sydney-day-tours/jenolan-caves-and-blue-mountains/) Unless you're really into caves/rock formations, this tour might not be for you. After a while, everything starts to look the same. (to me anyway - in the eyes of a NON-rock enthusiast) The main focus of the tour was the Jenolan Caves. I was under the impression that half the time would be spent at Blue Mountains and the other half at the Caves. I wish we got to explore more of the Mountains, but we only got to see Echo Point/The Three Sisters. That's probably my own fault though, for not reading the tour description carefully enough. Our tour guide, Jules was awesome. He told us a lot about the history of places we passed by as well as some random facts. Did you know that the aboriginal meaning of kangaroo is, 'I don't know'? On the other hand, he also knew when to let us sleep. So I was also thankful for that because I did get a good number of naps in. On the way home, he made a quick detour and took us to this area where all of these wild kangaroos were just hopping about. We even got to pet them. It was cool to be able to get up close and personal to them in their natural habitat, which by the way, happened to be a children's playground. Weird, I know..but I'm not complaining! That was probably the highlight of the whole tour.

Photo of Steenie S.

I would not go on this tour again. It's not the fault of the tour company, the driver Daryl was very pleasant. It was just too rushed. Spent 6 hours on a bus. We only saw a tiny section of the war memorial and got 30 mins in the art gallery. Canberra is definitely something that needs a couple of days to be able to enjoy. Didn't help that we had a screaming baby that didn't shut up the whole 6 hours on a bus.

We did the wildlife/blue mountain tour and the wine tasting tour. Both were amazing! Wild life/blue mountain: weather was poor but our guide made it feel exciting. Zoo was one of the best I've been to. Lunch was really good. Since traffic was light and kept us ahead of schedule, our guide drove us by the Olympic stadiums even though it wasn't on the itinerary. Guide was fun and informative. Wine tasting: good as well but pours were a bit light. Food was really good. Wineries were beautiful.

Quality and Quantity of Food needs improvement

We are currently on a 15 day river cruise in Europe on the Amastella. The food on offer is totally unappetising, unacceptable and inadequate.I would urge anyone considering a similar cruise to avoid APT until the food situation improves

AAT Absolutely pathletic service…

AAT Absolutely pathletic service cancelled tour without notification. My son was proposing to his girlfriend and the dinner was cancelled. Been 10 days and still chasing the refund. Was on the phone to an employee who put me on hold for over 20 mins only to advise it will be escalated to viator. Spoke to viator who knew nothing about AAT cancelling. Hence why I have not received the refund. Canopies were nothing really could do a better job myself. Better off going to the viewing area and doing yourself cheaper and less hassle. Very unorganized. Management pathetic. Don’t give them the satisfaction of paying for useless service. NOT RECOMMEND STAY AWAY.

  15. Efficient sightseeing with great tour guide

We recently went on the AAT Kings 3-day bus tour of Kakadu and Katherine.
