How To Sign Up For Jehovah's Witness Visits

How To Sign Up For Jehovah’s Witness Visits (How Do You Request For Jehovah’s Witness Visits)

During our monthly Bible study, someone asked about the Jehovah’s Witness visitations and how to sign up for a visit. The question prompted a conversation among the members, with some saying they had no idea and others recalling the Jehovah’s Witness showing up at their doorstep without them signing up for anything.

Through this article, I will further discuss how many times you can get a visit from Jehovah’s Witnesses, how often they visit people, and many more facts.

Read the article to learn more.

Table of Contents

How do you request a visit from Jehovah’s Witnesses?

Requesting a visit can be done through the Jehovah’s Witness website, JW.org , where you will be required to fill out a form with your details, such as your name, gender, and location.

You can also contact the kingdom hall near your place for assistance regarding how and when you can get visits from the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

How many times can you get a visit from Jehovah’s Witnesses?

How To Sign Up For Jehovah’s Witness Visits

The number of times you can get a visit mainly depends on the person who calls you. Some might come back regularly, depending on their schedule and the level of interest you portray .

The Jehovah’s Witnesses’ main goal is to preach their beliefs to as many people as possible, as stated in Matthew 28:19 : “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Therefore, they cannot stay in one place, especially if you are not expressing any interest.

How often do Jehovah’s Witnesses visit people?

How often they contact you depends on you, how much interest you are showing, and whether you are serious about wanting to know more about their religion.

If you show a lot of interest, witnesses may visit regularly to assess your progress. Other witnesses may also visit to spread the word.

Can anyone request a visit from Jehovah’s Witnesses?

Yes, anyone can request a visit from a Jehovah’s Witness. They’re always ready to welcome new members and to spread their beliefs to as many people as possible, as that is part of their main goal.

If you’re interested, you can call the nearest Kingdom Hall in your area; the numbers are available online.

Can you request a visit from Jehovah’s Witnesses at any time?

Yes, you can request a visit at your convenience. However, the Jehovah’s Witnesses also have their scheduled time when they conduct their door-to-door visits .

You can talk to them about your preference and try to arrange a suitable time for a discussion. They may consider your request or choose to stick to their schedule.

Can you request a visit from a Jehovah’s Witness for someone else?

Yes, you can request visitation for someone else, a relative or a friend. However, you must discuss the issue with the person you called for them to be aware of the situation, and you should also inform the person you requested.

This will ensure mutual understanding between the two parties and prevent misunderstandings.

Is it legal for Jehovah’s Witnesses to go door to door without a request?

Yes, it is legal for them to go door to door. This is because their coming to your door has no harm and is not considered trespassing, seeing that their main mission is evangelizing .

However, if you ask them to leave or you say you’re not interested and they persist, this might be a violation of your legal rights, and you can decide to take the necessary actions.

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses have a call list?

Yes, they have a call list, but it mainly includes people they’ve met before. They do this to assess both their progress and that of the individual.

However, in case you have privacy concerns, you can discuss them with the Jehovah’s Witness who visits you, and they will be sure to respect your privacy.

Does Jehovah’s Witness have an email list?

Yes, they may have an email list that they use to communicate internally or even to people they have had encounters with .

The Jehovah’s Witnesses mainly started emailing people after the COVID-19 pandemic, which interrupted their usual mode of operations.

In case of privacy concerns, you can discuss them with the Jehovah’s Witness who visits you, and they will surely see to it that your concerns are addressed.

How do Jehovah’s Witnesses get your phone number?

The Jehovah’s Witnesses may get your phone number if you have had previous encounters with them during their door-to-door visits.

They also get most of their phone numbers from public directories . However, the Jehovah’s Witnesses insist that the numbers are not used for anything else other than providing knowledge of the scriptures to those interested .

How do Jehovah’s Witnesses get your address if you don’t share it with them?

How To Sign Up For Jehovah’s Witness Visits

The Jehovah’s Witnesses mainly get your address either from a person who knows you and is in the group or through publicly available lists.

This might sound alarming to you, but according to them, you should not feel concerned as they neither have a database with people’s addresses nor are they tracking you.

What is the purpose of the visits?

The purpose of the Jehovah’s Witness visits is strongly based on their belief that part of their calling is to evangelize and preach the Gospel to the world in accordance with Matthew 28:19.

These visits to them act as their divine duty and command. Jehovah’s Witnesses also try and approach the visitations casually; they start by asking about your day before steering the conversation toward their beliefs.

In addition, they attempt to establish a sense of familiarity by informally approaching individuals.

The main reason for the visits is to have a bible discussion with you. Discussions mainly focus on why people should repent, the end times, and how evil should be shunned.

This is the strategy they use to win people into their religion. During visits, you can have Bible-based discussions and receive free magazines with various topics based on their beliefs.

Can you cancel a visit?

Yes, you can cancel a visit, do this by:

  • Log into your account on JW.org
  • Click on My Schedule, Find the visit you want to cancel, and click on it
  • Click on the cancel button on the bottom page. A popup window will appear for you to confirm if you truly want to cancel the visit. Click Yes to confirm.

BETHEL VACATIONS

For the past 47 years we have arranged Bethel Tour Vacations to the World Headquarters for thousands of Jehovah’s Witnesses. All Tours include a visit to Warwick, the Educational Center at Patterson Bethel and the Printing Factory at Wallkill. Each Tour includes a sightseeing Tour of New York City plus the admission fee for the biblical Tour at the Metropolitan Museum of Art given by Brothers from Oasis Tours.

ILLINOIS INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL  was established in 1967 as a full service travel agency providing travel for corporations and individual travelers. Since 1974 many of the Friends requested that we arrange a Tour to Bethel in New York and to other destinations around the world on our Memory Maker Vacations. It’s for this reason we began organizing Tours from any city in the US or Canada to visit Bethel. Since then, thousands of Friends have enjoyed our Group Tours so they do not have to worry where to stay or what to see. One of the highlights is that “wherever possible,” arrangements are made to meet with the local Brothers. These Tours are not sponsored by the Society, but are a private arrangement by Brothers and limited to Jehovah’s Witnesses and their relatives. In order to participate in one of our Tours, you must fill out the reservation form on our website and enclose a check or money order for a deposit of $250.00 per person. All reservations are accepted on a first-come basis. We apologize that we were unable to accommodate anyone on our Tour dates to Bethel in 2021 due to COVID 19. To avoid disappointment, we suggest making reservations NOW to avoid being placed on a waiting list. To make a reservation, fill out the reservation form, print one out completed, include a deposit of $250.00 per person and mail to our mailing address. Click Here For Form . Upon receipt of your deposit, a confirmation letter will be mailed to you informing you are either confirmed or on the waiting list, and when your balance is due along with more information on New York. After we receive your deposit, you may pay the balance by check or money order approximately 3 months prior to departure. Feel free to pass this information on to anyone else who may be interested in knowing about our Bethel Tour Vacations.

Magnify Bible Tours

Magnify Bible Tours offer faith-strengthening tours for Jehovah’s Witnesses and their friends.–

Physical Tours: In total, we conduct 9 different tours at the British Museum (lasting about an hour each), a Bible tour at the Natural History Museum , London, as well as the Old Royal Observatory in Greenwich,  the British Library and now the Wiener Holocaust Library . We also conduct a tour in London from the group’s coach, and a walking tour at Westminster .

Virtual Tours: During the times of Covid restriction and lockdown, we created virtual versions of our tours, and were among the very first to offer virtual Bible tours to the worldwide brotherhood. These have proved to be very popular, and we now offer the nine different British Museum tours, two Natural History Museum Tours and the British Library tour on the Zoom platform. We will continue to provide virtual tours as well as the in person tours.

Our approach to all of our Tours is to develop scriptural themes  – which really is quite different. Our experienced guides are congregation elders and/or in full-time service and their expressions reflect a deep love for Jehovah.

Magnify Bible Tours’ aim is to build appreciation for Jehovah and his written word the Bible as well as to provide an environment in which to enjoy wholesome Christian association, ensuring that everyone who joins our tours finds the experience spiritually uplifting and refreshing. This requires that Tour operator, guide and visitor have the same objective – to give all credit to Jehovah and his organisation.  The tours are a great resource for family worship activities.

We would kindly request that you dress respectfully  (as you would for a meeting at the Kingdom Hall or visiting Bethel if enjoying a physical tour). Jesus said his genuine followers would be in the world and yet no part of it. This is possible because they adhere to the high standards and principles set out in God’s Word. Jehovah’s Witnesses visiting the British Museum have gained an excellent reputation over the years for their orderly conduct and exemplary dress, giving a fine witness.

Magnify Bible Tours guides are pleased to conduct tours at the British Museum and other locations in London for Jehovah’s Witnesses and their friends.

Some guides have over 30 years of continuous experience as Tour Guides at the British Museum and have conducted thousands of tours – at the British Museum, British Library, Greenwich, Westminster, the City of London and the Natural History Museum in London, as well as drawing from their experience of conducting Bible tours in Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan and Turkey.

Supporting the british museum.

How To Sign Up For Jehovah’s Witness Visits?

Are you interested in joining the ranks of Jehovah’s Witnesses and having your home visited by devoted followers of the Christian faith? Becoming a part of this religious community can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience, and the process of signing up for Jehovah’s Witness visits is relatively straightforward.

To begin, contact your local congregation to arrange for a visit. Usually, Witness congregations are organized on a “circuit” basis, meaning that you will be sending a request to the elders in your area. You can find the contact information for your local congregation in the phone book or online. Make sure to clearly explain the purpose of your inquiry and provide the elders with the correct contact information.

Once your request has been received and approved, you will be assigned a specific elder in charge of your visits. This elder will be responsible for scheduling visits to your home and ensuring that the visitations occur in accordance with the congregation’s guidelines. You will be asked to provide some basic information about yourself, your family, and your beliefs.

At the time of the visit, you will be asked to explain your understanding of Jehovah’s Witness teachings. The elder will take time to answer any questions you may have, as well as to provide guidance in understanding the Witness faith. Depending on the circumstances, you may be asked to sign a declaration of belief, which is a solemn statement that you accept the teachings of the Witnesses and are willing to become an active member of the congregation.

Upon completing a successful visit, you will be officially welcomed into the community and given access to the congregation’s media sources. These sources include books, magazines, and videos of a religious nature. Additionally, you will be able to attend meetings, participate in local events, and take advantage of free Bible study courses.

The process of signing up for Jehovah’s Witness visits is straightforward and beneficial for those who wish to join the religious community. By taking the time to properly submit your request and properly preparing for the visit, you can make the experience of joining the Witnesses as rewarding and fulfilling as possible.

What to Expect from Your Visit

We’re excited to meet you and help you feel the peace and certainty in life that comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Here’s what your visit might be like:

Missionaries getting to know the people they’re visiting

Want to Learn More?

Missionaries are volunteers who have set aside their normal lives for up to two years to help others come closer to Jesus Christ. Before leaving on a mission, they were students, employees, athletes, bookworms, musicians, and, well, you get the idea. After their service, they will return home to finish college, work, date and marry, and live a pretty normal life.

They come from all over the world. It’s not uncommon for a missionary to serve in a country and speak a language other than their own. Missionaries serve as young adults or in their retired years as singles or couples. Whatever their age, their motivation is sincere—they leave their homes and families for a period to do what Jesus taught his Apostles: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

No. The gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone. He invites everyone to come unto Him “without money and without price” (see Isaiah 55:1). Missionaries actually pay to see you, covering their own costs to come on a mission. Local church leaders and class instructors don’t get paid either.

Church service times vary from congregation to congregation. However, you can always count on one main worship service for everyone, followed by classes for children, youth, and adults.

The service for everyone is called “sacrament meeting.” This meeting consists of songs, prayers, and sermons (or “talks”) given by different members of the congregation every week. But the most important part of the meeting is when we take the sacrament (which is similar to communion) to remember the Savior.

Opinion: Russian Jehovah's Witnesses remain devout despite facing bans

Judge Alla Nazarova attends a hearing in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in Moscow on Nov. 25, 2021.

This month, Vladimir Putin secured 87% of the vote in Russia to extend his hold on power. And, another ten Russian Jehovah's Witnesses have been convicted and sentenced to prison.

Jarrod Lopes, spokesperson for the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses, says that since April 2017, when Russia banned the faith, more than 2,000 homes of Witnesses have been raided, and hundreds arrested and charged. One hundred twenty-eight Jehovah's Witnesses are currently in prison. Mr. Lopes says the raids seem to be increasing; there have been 10 in the last 18 days.

"Typically," he told us, "the home raids are conducted by officers in full combat gear. ... Video footage of these raids is all over the internet and social media, because the police and Russian government want to make it look like they are risking their lives fighting dangerous extremists."

Lopes charges that many Witnesses have also been beaten in custody. "But as you can imagine," he adds, "that is never recorded."

Rachel Denber, deputy director for Europe and Central Asia for Human Rights Watch, told us, "There is a long string of monstrous prison sentences issued by Russian courts against Jehovah's Witnesses for doing nothing more than exercising their right to worship..."

The Russian government considers Jehovah's Witnesses extremist. Devout may be a truer word. Witnesses do not believe in the authority of the state, any state, above God. They refuse to participate in war, or a draft, or even vote.

Witnesses became special targets of the Nazi regime in Germany because they would not pledge allegiance, offer the Nazi salute, or enroll their children in the Hitler Youth. They continued to defy the government by handing out statements that questioned Nazi rule.

Witnesses were told to renounce their faith or be jailed. Most refused. About 6,000 Jehovah's Witnesses were held in concentration camps, where they were made to wear infamous patches with purple triangles. More than a thousand died.

Their history in that time is both tragic and inspiring.

Jarrod Lopes says many of the charges against Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia today have been based on secret audio recordings made of worship services, where security services may have heard one line in particular to irritate the Russian government as it continues the war in Ukraine: Psalm 34:14, which says, "Seek peace and pursue it."
