S01e01 honeymoon season.

• National Geographic (UK)

The Costa Serena, one of the ocean's biggest ships, is now facing a new challenge - honeymoon season. With major staff changes, new entertainers , poor weather and several unexpected challenges ahead this crew must be on high alert.

S01E02 Inspectors On Board

The Costa Serena is longer than the London bridge and her entertainment areas are bigger than 20 football fields. With nearly 3,800 international passengers on each cruise, the 1,000 crew members who spend most of their lives at sea are pushed to the max. The ship is facing a tough week with worsening weather, a safety inspection putting jobs on the line, unusual guests and many unexpected challenges ahead.

S01E03 Magic And Mayhem

As the Costa Serena leaves the port of Venice the crew are gearing up for another demanding week. Over 3,000 guests and putting on a new magic show are some of the challenges that lie ahead.

S01E04 Rock Concert

The Costa Serena crew is facing another nail-biting week. A famous Italian band, Nomadi will perform a rock concert in the theatre and security must deal with paparazzi, difficult fans and celebrities. Guests are in search of peace and quiet and the entertainment team is working double shifts to keep everyone happy.

S01E05 Dirty Dancing

The Costa Serena leaves Venice and the crew is hurtled into action. A group of tango dancers and instructors on board have a string of demands. Tempers are frayed as the new singer reveals she is not up to the usual female lead singer's standards. In the same theatre, the Dancing Gauchos vie for rehearsal times with the tango troupe. Meanwhile, the hotel director is on the war-path to exterminate any pests on board, and he takes no prisoners.

S01E06 The Final Countdown

This week is set to create some waves. The Costa Serena has just begun a fresh itinerary; sailing new waters and visiting different ports of call has the crew working double-time to settle into the new routine.

Performances, pressure and passion. The Cruise Director is auditioning acts for the new crew show and with a conservative audience on board, she faces some difficult decisions regarding a sexy new artist.

Deadlines, disease, dirt and drama! Europe has been rocked by an outbreak of E-coli and the new Hotel Director is enforcing a ship-wide sanitation programme.

S02E05 Breaking Point

• March 3, 2013

Almost 24 hours of daylight has guests going crazy and staff permanently on call. One entertainer has suffered a breakdown and a waitress has collapsed.

S02E06 New Ship On The Block

• March 10, 2013

The Costa Deliziosa has been the flagship of the fleet – until now. A brand new Super Cruiser, The Costa Favolosa is nearing completion in a shipyard near Venice.

S02E07 Opening Night

• March 17, 2013

The Costa Favolosa is about to take on board a group of VIP critics who will rate and review everything… It’s going to take all of the tricks in the book to impress!

S02E08 On Thin Ice

• March 24, 2013

The Costa Favolosa has officially been launched and is about to embark on her maiden voyage. But a new ice show, staff behaving badly, tantrums and tragedy are all set to rock this boat.

S02E09 The Show Must Go On

• March 31, 2013

As the Costa Favolosa nears the end of her maiden voyage, the ship’s dancers lose their choreographer and must perform on their own for the first time.

S02E10 Anger Management

• April 7, 2013

Dismissals, disappointments and disgrace! It’s tense times on board the Costa Favolosa as the crew prepare for the ship’s first passenger cruises.

Description.

Following the international success of "Inside the Worlds Biggest Cruise Ship" MEGA CRUISE SHIP DIARIES is a six part mini series featuring Europes largest Cruise Ship the Costa Serena.  The magnificent ship is one of the most technologically advanced at sea and carries almost 3000 passengers along with 1200 crewmembers. The Serena has been designed to deal with many weather conditions, and has a sliding glass dome  the Margrodome_ - which is able to cover all four swimming pools.  The ship boasts a full size "drive in movie-style" screen positioned next to the main pool and is the only ship to have a Formula One simulator on board. Five star chefs, a theatre that seats 1500 people, a wedding chapel which can be adapted for all religions and the worlds biggest floating health spa  only some of the amazing features on this Mega Cruise Ship. Apart from the engineering and technology, The Serena is part of the worlds first Green Fleet.  This massive ship has been built with the environment in mind.  The crew has also partnered with the World Wildlife Fund to run on-board programmes to try and make guests more aware of the part they can play in protecting the oceans.

I had no idea they made a season 2...

Although, I just checked out the NatGeo website and it does in fact look like there is a new series (shown at 7:30pm) and followed by episodes of the old series. Exciting! :)

Yep, definately a new season, i'm watching it now :D. (the first episode is, but I think the second episode is a repeat of 1st season).

There are actually 4 seasons but only Season 1 has been completely shown here and of course Season 2 started this week.

All seasons are filmed on different Costa ships.
