There is no embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangladesh. There is only a consular office of the Czech Republic in Dhaka, but they don’t process visa applications. Therefore, the Schengen visas of the Czech Republic are handled by The Embassy of France in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

For Schengen countries that don’t have a consulate in a particular country, they are normally represented by another Schengen member state, for the Czech Republic, it’s the embassy of France in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

So how to get your Czech Republic visit visa from Bangladesh from the France Embassy?

There are 5 basic steps to getting your visa approved:

Step 1: Prepare and gather all the required documents

This is the most basic thing you’ll have to face no matter whether you apply. Normally, documents for Schengen visas are more or less the same as they all maintain a standard practice. All member states follow a common guideline called Schenge Visa codes.

So, what documents are required for a Czech Republic tourist visa?

• Original passport with at least 3 months validity
• Recent passport-size photo
• Completed application form
• Proof of having finances to support your travel and stay in the country

• Itinerary during your period of stay in the country

Take the appointment as soon as possible as now the waiting period at the French embassy is 2-8 weeks.

Step 4: Submit Your Application file and give Biometrics & Interview

Print the Schengen application form and prepare all the required documents for submission to the embassy.

The consular officer also might ask you some basic questions regarding your justification of purposes and the documents submitted.

Once the consulate makes the decision, they will ask you to collect the Passport. In the meantime, you can track the status online.

Visa is issued into a passport (travel document) of a foreigner in a form of a visa sticker. Every applicant, incl. a child, is issued an individual visa sticker. If the child does not have an own passport and is inscribed in the parent´s passport, two visa stickers are issued into the passport of the parent.
