Book a compact minibus for your bachelor party or a full-sized charter bus to shuttle your colleagues to breweries. Relaxing in a spacious, climate-controlled bus operated by a professional driver is an easier alternative to taking various rideshare or needing to designate drivers. Depending on the bus, you can even start sipping a few brews on board while your driver handles the road.

Do you have a few people in your group who aren’t into beer? No worries! Most breweries also offer ciders, non-alcoholic drinks, food, games, and music, so nobody has to feel left out!

Tour Denver’s Many Breweries

Many larger breweries in Denver have pre-scheduled tours along with private options for large groups. With a personal charter bus, you can hop between breweries and tour each one as you please.

With so many breweries around town, it's hard to define what makes one “the best.” If you’re having a hard time choosing which breweries to add to your itinerary, consider checking out these Denver staples:

Great Divide Brewing

Address : 2201 Arapahoe St, Denver, CO 80205 Phone : (303) 296-9460

Great Divide has been serving up craft beers since 1994, quickly becoming a beloved spot by locals. Situated in the Ballpark neighborhood of Denver, Great Divide offers more than a dozen beers on tap. If you’re a fan of dark beers, be sure to grab their popular Yeti imperial stout or one of its many variants that may be on tap. Great Divide offers free scheduled public tours every day but are on a first-come first-serve basis. Groups of up to 20 people can schedule a private tour outside of normal public tour hours.

Wynkoop Brewing Company

Addres s: 1634 18th St, Denver, CO 80202 Phone : (303) 297-2700

Known for its unique flavor combinations and as being Denver’s first brewpub, Wynkoop has been a LoDo staple for more than 30 years. Grab some bar food, shoot some pool, and taste test beers made with everything from chiles to Rocky Mountain oysters [1]   [2]  . Don’t worry, Wynkoop has a varied list of standard brews on tap too. Private group tours are available for groups of up to 20 and must be requested in advance .

Epic Brewing Company

Address : 3001 Walnut St, Denver, CO 80205 Phone : (720) 539-7410

Epic started in Salt Lake City, but its second brewing facility and taproom in RiNo has become a Denver hotspot for craft beer. The brewery has a tasty selection of handcrafted beers, including their Classic Series and an Elevated Series with flavor profiles like peaches, sour apples, and coffee. Public brewery tours are held three times a day on Friday - Sunday, while private tours can be scheduled for groups of 4 or more by phone.

Shuttle to Breweries Across Colorado

As Colorado’s capital, Denver usually gets a lot of attention in the beer scene. Let’s not forget about the rest of the state! Boulder , Longmont, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs have plenty of options to choose from.

When you book with Denver Charter Bus Company, you make your own unique schedule! We’ll happily shuttle your group between Denver and any other Colorado city to get your fill of craft beer. Check what’s on tap with your bus’s onboard WiFi so you’ll be prepared to build a custom fight once you’re at the brewery.

Need some ideas on where to go? We’ve got you covered.

Left Hand Brewing Company

Address : 1265 Boston Ave, Longmont, CO 80501 Phone : (303) 772-0258

Located in Longmont alongside the Rocky Mountains, Left Hand Brewing Co has some of the best views you could ask for. Sip on one of their famous milk stouts in the rustic taproom or enjoy the Colorado weather out on the patio. The brewery has daily public tours that are available by reservation on their website . Each public tour can accommodate up to 15 people and lasts about an hour. If you have a large group coming to the Left Hand Tasting Room , be sure to reach out to their staff to give them a heads up to better serve everyone.

Oskar Blues Brewery

Address : 1640 S Sunset St, Longmont, CO 80501

921 Pearl St, Boulder, CO 80302 Phone : Longmont - (303) 776-1914 ext. 313

Boulder - (720) 645-1749

Oskar Blues actually has two equally amazing breweries and taprooms in Colorado but its Longmont location is the only one to offer public tours. They’re offered daily at the Longmont brewery, with weekday tours departing at 4pm and weekend tours beginning at 2, 3, 4, & 5pm.  The Boulder and Longmont locations carry a variety of delicious brews including their signature Dale’s Pale Ale APA and Ten Fidy, a rich American imperial stout. Be sure to take a look at their website to see what's on tap at each location, as it can vary.

Odell Brewing Company

Address : 800 E Lincoln Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80524 Phone : (970) 498-9070

Home to Colorado State University, Fort Collins is a bustling college city with hip eateries and breweries like Odell. This popular spot is actually one of the largest independently-operated craft breweries in the United States, making it well worth a trip up to Fort Collins. Odell’s has a great selection brews, including a wide range of ales like its 90 Shilling Amber Ale, Myrcenary Double IPA, and its locally-loved IPA (it’s really just named IPA). Public tours are available daily and reservations are highly recommended due to limited space. Large groups can book a private tour by emailing email [email protected] .

Mike was an excellent guide, taking us to 3 different brewerys around the area that otherwise my husband and I would not have thought to go. Allowed ample time at each stop. Asked for our input on each brewery as to make any tweaks in the future. A fun and relaxing day

Fun breweries and amazing views. Dylan was a wonderful guide, giving history and showing rock formations we wouldn't have known to seek out otherwise!

July 21, 2021

Great tour. Whole experience was very enjoyable. Nick was a terrific guide. There was only one other couple on the tour and we hit it off with them. Besides the good beer the “views” were great too. We have been to CO numerous times but Nick knew the back roads and showed us countryside we hadn’t seen before. If we are in CO again we would definitely take another trip with Nick.

I had a great time on this tour. Every brewery we went to had great beers that were paired with amazing views. Phil was our tour guide and he definitely helped make the tour memorable. Transportation is in a small bus/van, water is provided. It's a good idea to go on this tour well-hydrated. Definitely recommend to put on your to-do list if you're visiting Denver.

I loved this tour bus so much and I think Yelp knows I did, so they even made my picture the icon for Colorado Brewery Bus! There are two different tours, but since we already had tickets to the New Belgium Brewery, we opted for the other one including: Avery, Oskar Blues, Fate, and Left Hand. We got picked up in a Wal-mart parking lot if my memory serves me correctly, and then we went to another stop to pick up some other people. The website didn't say this, or maybe I missed it, but they actually supply beer on the bus! One of the other guys brought beers and stuck it in the cooler they supplied for everyone to help themselves to. The bus was decorated in all sorts of hanging Oskar Blues cans and stickers from the breweries. Our driver had some trouble with the directions, I think the told us this was her 2nd day on the job, but we didn't sweat it. I would recommend this to anyone who A) likes beer, B) is visiting Colorado C) lives in Colorado D) is awesome. Cheers!

Wait, wait, wait...I can ride a bus to Ft. Collins and visit breweries?! Yes, yes you can...and should. A fantastic idea, and a well organized one. This was about as easy as it gets, which made the day all that more fun. We visited New Belgium (probably the best tour you'll ever go on), Ft. Collins Brewery, Equinox, and Odells during a beautiful Saturday afternoon in September. The tour of New Belgium is worth it alone really, as it's so hard to get tours on Saturdays these days. I wish we could have done Funkworks instead of Ft. Collins Brewery, but the nice thing about FCB is that they have food. Equinox was solid, and Odells was fantastic. New Belgium is the only tour you go on, but there are plenty of taster samplers and pints to be purchased at the others. A great operation that makes for a very fun day full of beer and friends...the way days should be.

A group of friends and I visited Colorado from California with the sole purpose of tasting what beers Denver has to offer. We booked our tour a month in advanced online and did not have any sort of issues with booking whatsoever. We received a confirmation email from CO Brewery Bus almost instantly after booking. We were scheduled to be picked up from the Wazee St. pick up at 5:15PM. The email even instructed us to be early, which we were. Our group waited and waited and waited. It eventually started raining (because of course it did). Approximately 25 minutes passed by and still no sign of the bus picking us up. We eventually called the company hoping for some answers. They told us that their bus broke down and were working on a solution. They told us that they would call us back in 10 minutes whether or not they were going to pick us up. Great. 20 minutes later and they inform us that they wouldn't be able to accommodate our tour for the evening. They did offer a full refund, which is fine. This biggest issue was the fact that the company did not contact us or notify us that they were running late or even that they were having issues. As a customer, being notified of any sort of issues with a reservation is absolutely imperative, especially for us being from out of town. As a company, don't instruct your customer to be on time (their email even requested to be early) and then don't provide the customer any notification that you're running late (isn't that the company's job to do?) and then inform the customer that you can't accommodate them. Isn't that the point of making a reservation? Don't they check their busses to make sure that can accommodate their reservations? At the point in the day, it was already too late to book any other tour. Very unprofessional.

Photo of Kelly T.

The mere concept of this bus warrants four stars. It picks you up, drives you to Fort Collins, lets you drink at four breweries (New Belgium, FCB, Equinox and Odell's) and then takes you home. Pure. Genius. What gets them 5 stars is the fact that they are a well oiled machine. This isn't some fly by night company. They pick you up when they say they're going to pick you up and they leave when they say they'll leave. Upon getting to the bus at 9:15 am, the driver, Kevin, checked me in and said, "Help yourself to a beer in the cooler." S'buh?! Ok, Kev, I surely will! I think that's there earliest I've ever had a beer besides a red beer. But it was nice. And the beer just kept flowing like wine. Plus, they create a playlist based on music requests you submit when you buy your ticket, which is a really cool bonus, unless you happen to be riding with people who have bad taste in music (I'm looking at you whoever requested all the Jimmy Buffet songs), which was slightly the case on my tour, but that's not the Brewery Bus's fault. I blame society for the amount of Matchbox 20 and Maroon 5 that was played. I digress. This is a great, reliable, friendly company that let's you be responsibly irresponsible and have a great time actually getting to enjoy beer. Colorado Brewery Bus, you get five stars and a super emphatic high five (I give those out a lot when I'm drunk, which is, naturally, what happened that day)!

Photo of Nick L.

Who want's a DUI? Yeah me neither. The Brew Bus is a perfect way to check out 4 Fort Collins Breweries responsibly. We stopped at New Belgium first and went on their 90 minute brewery tour. This is a great stop as you'll learn more about beer and get about 6 samples along the tour. From there we went to Ft Collins for lunch and a flight, the food was very good! The last two stops were kind of blur, Equinox and Odells. I was surprised with Odells, in a good way. The Deconstruction and Meddler were both great beers and probably my favorites along the trip. Unless you have a friend that wants to play designated driver all day, I would recommend the brew bus. They provide drinks along the way to keep or maintain your buzz from stop to stop and will even play requests ... no matter how bad they are. Oh and be on time, they will leave without you!

Photo of Whitney M.

We selected the Colorado Brewery Bus as an activity to do while on a Bachelorette party...and it was an AWESOME decision. The bride to be had an absolute blast and the rest of our party had a great time too. The whole concept of providing a driver to take people up to the breweries in Fort Collins is genius, especially for those of us who live in Denver but either 1) dont want to stay over night in FoCo or 2) all want to experience the tours instead of picking a DD. Plus, getting to go on the New Belgium tour with the group instead of putting in a reservation for the tour two to three months in advance is a huge perk! Our driver Katelyn (sp?) was awesome and very nice, providing a few beers for us on the way up and having water on hand throughout the day was great...and essential. The bus was on time and we had a great time making friends with all of the other people on the bus! I would recommend the Colorado Brewery Bus to anyone, and in fact, I plan on taking another one of their tours up through Longmont & Boulder! So fun and so worth it!

Photo of Garrett B.

This was such a great idea. No drinking and driving, I'm in. Capt Josh was our bus driver and was knowledgeable and friendly. We stopped at 4 fort Collins breweries with one of those being a tour CBB booked for us at New Belgium. We had lunch at fort collins brewery, which was excellent. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and family, and join them of course!

Photo of Ford C.

We had an awesome experience on the Colorado Brewery Bus. We had a great driver and there is nothing like a little day drinking to get to know your fellow bus-mates, who were all fun as well. The bus was right on time and we cruised up to Ft. Collins for the New Belgium tour, which was great. Lots of beer along the tasting and we were able to sample freshly bottled Fat Tire that was a young 15 minutes old. We really enjoyed the Yuzu and Paardebloem, a limited-edition dandelion based beer. We then cruised over to Ft. Collins Brewery and had lunch at Gravity 1020 restaurant. You must try the bacon wrapped pretzels. Bacon really does make everything taste better. Equinox was next on our list and we had plenty more samples to keep exploring Northern Colorado's amazing craft brew scene. Finally we wrapped up at Odell's and there isn't a bad beer on the menu, so taste 'em all! The ride back went by quickly when a bus-member hijacked the radio and organized a dance party on the way back. Well played. Put this on your Colorado bucket list folks, we highly recommend the Colorado Brewery Bus!

Extrememly fun day trip!! We toured New Belgium, Ft Collins, Odells, and Equinox. Josh, the bus driver, was accommodating and fun!! He even took us back to 2 breweries because we forgot our cards (zoopsies)!! Good Beer, Good Company!!

Photo of Michael N.

If you've ever read some of the reviews of the myriad of other tour companies populating our beloved cowtown, you will notice one thing about C.B.B.that stands out - nothing but great reviews. If our experience with them was typical, then I can say that they have earned their praise. I know that these reviews are starting to sound like a broken record, but what else can I add? Kevin was on time, took us to where they promised, provided us with road beers (a small complaint about the selection - it looked like leftovers from a company softball game - really? Coors light on a craft beer tour?...). He even had a flat tire along the way, and still kept the schedule afloat. Got a sweet deal thru Living Social (I think it was LS, at least), but would have been worth it at full price. A word to the wise about all "beer tours": Almost none actually arrange tours for you. This one arranges you the best tour in the state, and makes very clear that's the only official tour. Others that I have seen imply that they are something more than a glorified car service, when that's all they are. Cheers, for a great time!

DENVER THRIVES AS A PIONEER IN SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

DENVER, April 11, 2024 - Denver's city leaders and residents share a deep understanding of the importance of preserving our environment for future generations. As a result, attractions, restaurants, hotels and other businesses across The Mile High City are working to integrate sustainable practices to protect the city's natural beauty while enhancing the visitor experience, making it the ideal destination.

Denver's  commitment to sustainability  is evident to travelers in various initiatives across the city. Below are a few key examples. To learn more and plan an environmentally conscious trip or meeting, check out the VISIT DENVER  website .

Sustainable Transportation:  The city encourages visitors to explore Denver using  eco-friendly transportation options  such as public transit and bike-rental programs. From the moment visitors arrive at  Denver International Airport  they are directed to the A Line train that connects them directly from the airport to Denver Union Station in Denver's compact, walkable downtown. From there visitors can proceed on foot or catch the free 16 th  Street MallRide (currently running on 15 th  & 17 th  streets due to construction) or connect with the city's expansive  regional buses , light rail or even catch a pedi-cab, all of which make it easy to explore the city without driving!

Last summer, the Regional Transportation District (RTD) offered the "Zero Fare for Cleaner Air" program during a time when carbon emissions tend to be higher from additional vehicles on the road. It was a successful program for sustainable transportation. In the winter months, travelers can enjoy car-free adventure to the ski slopes with direct rail service on the  Winter Park Express  from Denver Union Station.

In addition to traditional ride-share options, the city is also home to unique transportation options such as  GEST Carts Denver , electric-powered carts that can reach 25 mph. GEST relies on advertising to support free rides. To learn more about sustainable transportation options, check out the VISIT DENVER  website .

Eco-Friendly Accommodations:  The city's commitment to sustainability made it a clear choice for a new innovative hotel concept by Urban Villages, the  Populus Hotel . Opening in Summer 2024, the Populus will be the first carbon-positive hotel in the country.

In addition to the Populus, hotels across the city are leading the way in sustainable practices while providing unmatched hospitality.  Hotel Monaco  of Kimpton Hotels is another local leader, with refillable bath amenities, motion-activated HVAC units and low-flow water systems being just a few of the green features. The popular River North Art District's (RiNo's)  Source Hotel  has been green since its groundbreaking, built with recycled and local materials for a LEED certification, and features water-efficient and bike-friendly amenities in the finished product. The historic  Brown Palace Hotel & Spa's  green Initiative has reduced electricity usage and water consumption while fostering five rooftop beehives that make honey for spa products and other uses. Visitors can feel good about their impact on the environment while staying in these and many other hotels throughout Denver. Learn more and find hotel deals on the VISIT DENVER  website .

Sustainable Food Scene:  Across the city, restaurants are taking farm-to-table dining to a whole new level, incorporating new urban farming techniques. Fast-casual options such as  Farm & Market  in RiNo have delicious veggie options as their produce is harvested daily on-site via hydroponics and vertical farming. Meanwhile, restaurant group, Edible Beats built a 320-square-foot vertical hydroponic farm in  Vital Root's  back yard called BeatBox Farms, which is equivalent to the output of 2.5 acres of farmland annually and is estimated to deliver 120 pounds of veggies and greens weekly. Restaurants across the city work with  Altius Farms , which was established in 2018 on a Denver roof. The 7,200-square-foot rooftop farm harvests more than 30,000 pounds of produce annually and supplies more than 40 restaurants in the Denver area.

In addition to urban farming practices that support our environment, many Denver restaurants are incorporating practices to be more mindful of food waste.  Sullivan Scrap Kitchen  opened in 2020 after owner Terence Rogers of TBD Foods worked to repurpose their waste from the catering business. The business model allows guests to enjoy a quality meal while reducing food waste. Sullivan Scrap Kitchen is joined by many other Denver-based restaurants (Carboy Winery, DiFranco's, Serendipity Coffee Bar, Tavernetta, Mercantile Dining and Provision, BRUTØ and Annette) as a member of  Zero Foodprint , the award-winning, nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing the food world around agricultural climate solutions. While dining at these businesses, guests donate a few cents on their total bill to a local climate solution. Zero Footprint collects funds and supports farmers, ranchers and local agricultural experts in building and growing healthy food production that helps restore our environment.

These environmentally friendly practices across the city have recently been recognized by the  Michelin Guide  which awarded green stars for sustainable practices to The Wolf's Tailor and BRUTØ, both restaurants run by Chef Kelly Whitaker.

Visitors can also enjoy some of the city's best libations while keeping environmental impact in mind. To help the popular beer industry become more sustainable, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment launched a sustainable brewing program in 2017. The program has worked with more than 25 breweries such as  Great Divide Brewing Company , which has worked to reduce their water use and donate spent grains to farmers for animal feed.  Denver Beer Co.  uses equipment to capture CO2 and operates in a 100% solar-powered facility. Visitors will enjoy a great meal and cheers with friends and family while supporting the environment.

Green Attractions:  Denver's attractions are committed to preserving our environment and educating visitors on the importance of sustainability.  Denver Botanic Gardens  is leading the way for sustainable horticulture. The attraction has created the Mordecai Children's Garden on the parking garage rooftop which eases the urban heat island, provides a wildlife habitat and offers other environmental benefits. Meanwhile, the  Denver Zoo  set ambitious goals to reduce waste by 90 percent, energy consumption by 25 percent and water usage by 50 percent by 2025. Other attractions such as the popular  Meow Wolf  feature sustainability with special events. This spring, the museum will host Absolute Rubbish: Bloom a "trashion show" a display of fashion with upcycled options. As part of the City of Denver's Environmental Management System,  Red Rocks Amphitheatre  has been certified to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) since 2009; the venue uses a three-bin waste collection system located throughout the venue, while behind the scenes, Red Rocks' waste sorting team hand-sorts all waste to capture and maximize the amount headed to compost and recycling. Additionally, various improvement projects over the last several years have converted lighting, equipment and bathroom fixtures to ensure the most efficient and effective models possible. Visitors will enjoy reducing their carbon footprint as they explore some of the city's best attractions.

Additional Citywide Conservation Efforts:  The city of Denver has created policies that reduce waste while supporting businesses such as  The Waste No More Ordinance , a resident-led ballot initiative passed in 2022. This ordinance requires buildings in Denver to provide compost and recycling to their patrons, employees and tenants. As a testament to its commitment to sustainability, Denver has been recognized as a leader in eco-tourism, earning  accolades  such as #1 in Architectural Digest's list of the "Top 50 Most Climate Resilient Cities" due to factors including fewer threats of extreme weather damage and city-level initiatives to support clean energy, and Nat Geo UK's list of most sustainable destinations in the world. In addition, Denver is proud to be the world's first destination to be certified at the Platinum level under the  Event Industry Council's Sustainable Event Standards . The city collaborated with venues, hotels, the  Colorado Convention Center  and other partners to achieve this recognition.

VISIT DENVER has a variety of resources to help visitors plan an environmentally conscious trip. Check out the  Travel Carbon Footprint Calculator  and our  annual sustainability report . To learn more and plan your perfect trip to Denver, head to the VISIT DENVER  website .

Soup’s on

Saturday. Denver’s Westwood neighborhood continues to be one of the best places to dine on and learn about the cuisine of Mexico and other Latin American countries as it hosts festivals celebrating everything from tamales to salsa to mole. Today, Cultura Chocolate and Hecho en Westwood host their fourth annual Festival del Pozole , featuring more than 15 pozoles from both professional and community chefs in the Denver area.

Made from hominy (a form of dried corn), pozole is a soup-like dish that typically includes chicken or pork, along with a spicy sauce and toppings like avocado, lime, cabbage, peppers and radishes. The festival takes place from 2 to 8 p.m. at 3950 W. Morrison Road. Each sample costs $3, or you can get a discount on 10 samples in advance. Get tickets and info at hechoenwestwood.com.

Pickup lines

Saturday. You’ve heard of Shakespeare in the park, but how about Shakespeare in the parking lot? The Denver Center for the Performing Arts has already kicked off its springtime community tour of its popular Shakespeare in the Parking Lot program. The second of six weekly shows will be on Saturday, April 13, at noon in Arvada’s Olde Town Square .

“These stripped-down productions are centered around a pickup truck ‘set’ that travels” to various schools and other locations around metro Denver, according to a press release, and the Denver Center recorded its 700th performance earlier in April. Today’s play is “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” which will be performed again on May 11 in the River North Arts District and on May 18 in Lafayette. On April 20 and May 4, the actors will do “Romeo and   Juliet” at two Denver locations. All shows are open to the public. For more information on dates and locations, go to denvercenter.org .

Red, white and you

Sunday. If you love Colorado-made wines, check out the fourth Colorado Wine Walk, which hosts a grand tasting event on April 14 in the Dairy Block alleyway at 1800 Wazee St. There will be 12 of Colorado’s urban and Western Slope wineries in attendance for both sampling and purchase, according to organizers at Blanchard Family Wines.

Tickets, which start at $50, include unlimited wine samples, a commemorative wine glass, discounts on wine purchases, and the ability to chat with winemakers and winery owners. There are two different sessions, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. Get info at coloradowinewalk.com .

Eleanor Schnitzler, 6, sits with her father, Juan, as she prepares to take runs on the beginner slope at Echo Mountain on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

Closing day

Sunday. “Are you tired of typical closing days focused on silly pond skims instead of KPIs and pivot tables? Well, good news! With our 360° approach to customer satisfaction, we’re going to parking-lot those ideas and take a 10,000-foot view … because our closing day is ALL BUSINESS.” That’s the tongue-in-cheek windup to Echo Mountain ski area’s last day of the 2023-24 ski and snowboard season on Sunday, April 14.

The ski resort, the closest one to Denver, is offering half off of lift tickets if you show up in business attire, along with food and drink specials and, yes, an actual CPA on hand to answer tax questions in advance of April 15 (tax day). Echo Mountain is located at 19285 CO-103 near Idaho Springs. Get more information at echomtn.com .
