Day 1: Arrive in Abu Dhabi

Welcome to beautiful Abu Dhabi, with its year-round sunshine and stunning cultural sites. Travelers who purchased our air-inclusive package will be met at the airport and transferred to our hotel. Tonight, we'll enjoy a welcome dinner and orientation.

Day 2: Abu Dhabi City Tour

Today, we'll see the city's striking architecture which reflects distinctly Islamic themes with modern materials, and learn how oil has been central to the UAE's development. We'll stop at a bustling authentic fish market, and drive along the Corniche waterfront which offers breathtaking views of the city. Next, the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque fuses styles from different Muslim civilizations and celebrates cultural diversity. Marvel at the domes, reflective pools, and the world's biggest chandelier and carpet—both of which are handmade. After a break for lunch, we'll visit the Louvre Abu Dhabi, an art and civilization museum—the first of its kind in the Arab world—bringing together different cultures to shine a light on humanity's shared stories.

Day 3: Abu Dhabi at Leisure

Delight in a day of free time. Dive into more of Abu Dhabi, or relax at our luxurious hotel. Consider our optional Abu Dhabi Panoramic Tour which takes place this morning or our Dhow Cruise which takes place this evening.

Day 4: Abu Dhabi – Dubai

This morning, we'll check out of our hotel and head to Dubai! In Dubai, we'll have a photo stop at Burj Al Arab Beach where we'll enjoy a fantastic view over the famous 7-star hotel Burj Al Arab. Next, we'll visit the sensational Atlantis hotel for a world-class experience at The View at Palm Jumeirah. The View inspires, educates, and celebrates the extraordinary achievements behind the making of Palm Jumeirah. Then we will drive to the glitzy Dubai Marina Walk. The Dubai Marina Walk features 7km of pedestrian walkways which lead to some of Dubai's most popular restaurants and shops. It offers an alfresco lifestyle for those that love the outdoors. Early this evening, we'll check into our Dubai hotel and have the evening at leisure.

Day 5: Desert Safari & Bedouin Campsite Excursion

After a morning at leisure, we'll embark on an exciting desert safari! Our safari guides will whisk us away in 4-wheel drive vehicles into the golden sand dunes of Arabia. We'll savor the sunset overlooking the desert, and continue on to a Bedouin campsite for camel riding, henna design, a delicious BBQ dinner, and more. Be enchanted by a belly dancer performing to classic Arabian rhythms.

Note: During Ramadan, there is no belly dancing or alcohol at the campsite.

Day 6: Dubai Heritage & Modern Dubai City Tour

Today we'll get a glimpse of how people lived before the Union and before the discovery of oil in the Emirate of Dubai. We'll visit Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House and then walk through the Heritage Village of Dubai, an immersive time capsule of what life was like pre-modern UAE with an old-world souk (market), mosque, and camp. We'll continue our tour by abra (traditional boat or "water taxi"), crossing Dubai Creek to the Spice Souk, followed by the glittering Gold Souk where we can shop for treasures. At lunch, we'll enjoy authentic Emirati cuisine followed by an open discussion about the UAE's history, culture, and traditions at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding. This evening, we'll visit the Dubai Mall and Dubai Fountain Show—a spectacular display of water, music, and lights. Next, we'll go to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and enjoy its incredible "At the Top" observation deck experience as the lights of the city shimmer. Stay at Dubai Mall for dinner, or return with the group to the hotel.

Day 7: Dubai at Leisure

We'll enjoy a full day of free time in Dubai today. Spend it checking out the city sights or consider an optional tour to Sharjah, named the Cultural Capital of the Arab World by UNESCO.

Day 8: Depart Dubai

We bid farewell to Dubai today as our tour comes to an end after breakfast. Travelers who purchased the air-inclusive package will transfer to the airport for our return flight and touch down in the U.S. later today.

The best time to travel the Abu Dhabi is the winter season which starts in the month of September and ends in the month of March. During this season, the temperature is moderate and the weather is not so humid. This is the time when millions of tourists come to Abu Dhabi tour for leisure. What is the pick-up location for the Abu Dhabi city tour?

We pick you up either from the front of your hotel or Deira/Burjaman in case you choose to be picked up by our vehicle. Your tour starts after the pick-up and the first destination we reach is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The next stop on the itinerary is the Emirates Palace and this is followed by the much popular Ferrari World and the amazing Yas Island. The tour concludes with a visit to the Heritage Village and the Abu Dhabi Museum.

Do remember, we pick you up between 8:00 and 8:30 am and drop you between 2:00 and 2:30 pm.

Is smoking allowed in Abu Dhabi?

You are barred from smoking in government areas, shopping malls, and offices. You aren’t allowed to take e-cigarettes and vaping isn’t allowed either. However, Abu Dhabi does have some zones set aside for smoking. You can smoke there as long as you don’t affect others. In violation of smoking laws, you’ll need to pay a fine or you might even end up in jail.

What are the appropriate clothes to wear in Abu Dhabi?

Men can turn up in light chinos or cargo trousers when it’s summertime. If you choose to wear shorts, make sure that they reach your knees or even lower. Women should cover their heads with a cloth when they enter any place of worship. They are otherwise allowed to wear skirts, knee length or longer.

You shouldn’t wear see-through attire or clothes with profanities on them. You should also avoid shorts, sleeveless clothing, and tight-fitting attire as well.

Arrival at abu dhabi – dubai (4 nights).

Mumbai to Mumbai tour guests will report at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai as per the scheduled flight departure time and proceed to Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival, Veena World Tour Manager will guide all guests for airport formalities and proceed to Dubai city – a global city and the Capital of the Emirates of Dubai located on the southeast coast of Persian Gulf. Late night check-in at Dubai hotel.

• Night Stay in Dubai

Today we visit beautiful Miracle Garden – world’s largest natural flower garden with 150 million flowers arranged in colourful arches and patterns. We then explore Dubai Mall – one of the world's largest shopping malls also known as the home of the Dubai Shopping Festival with more than 1200 shops and over 200 fashion brands. Then we take a photo stop at the Dubai Aquarium. In the afternoon we visit the tallest skyscraper in the world – Burj Khalifa to be on the Top of the world, on its 124th floor and enjoy the breath-taking views of the city, followed by a magnificent Fountain Show at Dubai Mall. Please Note: When Miracle Garden is closed for visitors, we enjoy Butterfly Garden.

Today we explore the amazing city of Dubai, we take a photo stop at Burj Al Arab – The iconic sail shaped luxury hotel located on an artificial island and walk around white sand beach – Jumeirah Beach followed by a drive on the famous Sheikh Zayed Road – longest road in the Emirates is the home to most of Dubai's skyscrapers. We then pass by the famous Dubai Frame – an architectural landmark in Zabeel Park. We also get an opportunity to take a ride in the Palm Monorail with a photo stop at Atlantis Hotel – the first luxury resort built on an artificial island, The Palm. We visit View at the Palm – located on the level 52 of the Palm Tower, the observation deck offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the Palm Jumeirah along with the waters of Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline. Later we take a photo stop at Museum of the Future Dubai. In the afternoon, we enjoy shopping at Deira City Centre. In the evening we will embark on the Dhow Dinner Cruise – a traditional wooden vessel converted into floating restaurant is a great way of enjoying amazing views of glittering Dubai skyline while indulging in some delicious cuisine.

Today we enjoy Water Taxi ride to Gold Souk – A traditional gold market, here buying gold or just witnessing the display is quite an experience and feast to the eyes. In the afternoon we enjoy a thrilling Desert Safari by 4WD Land Cruiser on the famous Arabian Desert sand dunes of Dubai. Here we enjoy dune bashing, dune walking and sunset view. Afterwards we will drive to the amazing Desert Camp and experience the traditional Arabic entertainment with various activities offered by the Desert Camp like Henna Painting, Sheesha, Arabic dress photograph and Live Belly Dance show along with dinner.

Dubai – Abu Dhabi (2 Nights)

Today we proceed to The Mall of Emirates and enjoy to our hearts content in Snow Park at Ski Dubai. Then we proceed to Abu Dhabi and visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – one of the world’s largest mosques, and the only one that captures unique interactions between Islam and World Cultures. Witness the spectacular onion-top domes, the reflective pools that engulf the courtyard and the iconic prayer hall which not only overflows with blissful sunlight, but also houses the world’s biggest chandelier and carpet.

Today we visit Ferrari World – first Ferrari-branded theme park that has a record for the largest space frame structure ever built, it offers a unique experience for visitors of every age. You can enjoy the most famous ride - The Formula Rossa – world's fastest roller coaster along with rides like Speed of Magic, Viaggio in Italia, Fiorano GT Challenge etc. In the afternoon we visit Warner Bros World on Yas Island – an indoor amusement park, features characters from Warner Brothers franchises, such as Looney Tunes, DC Comics, Hanna - Barbera etc. You can enjoy rides and, shows like Scarecrow Scare Raid, The Riddler Revolution, Green Lantern Galactic Odyssey, Superman360, Tom and Jerry, Batman, The Flintstone, Scooby Doo etc.

UAE players to benefit from Challenge Tour double-header in Abu Dhabi

Akram Skaik, Director General at the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF), has hailed the importance of the partnership between the European Tour group and the EGF in helping develop local players, with the EGF set to receive 60 invites across two Challenge Tour events in Abu Dhabi this month.

UAE players are to set to go head-to-head with the game’s rising stars and DP World Tour winners, including Dubai resident Nicolas Colsaerts, when the Abu Dhabi Challenge (April 18-21) returns for its second edition next week at Al Ain, Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club, before Saadiyat Beach Golf Club completes the double-header when hosting the UAE Challenge from April 25-28.

As part of the European Tour group’s long-term partnership with the EGF, which aims to develop golf in the UAE for at least the next decade, each tournament will allocate 30 invites to the EGF to help create playing opportunities and provide a pathway for UAE golfers.

A whole host of the UAE’s homegrown players featured across the two events last season, including the country’s No.1 amateur golfer Ahmad Skaik and his brother Mohammad.

In addition to the UAE Nationals, several UAE residents were also given the opportunity to compete, with local golf coach Louis Gaughan securing his spot by winning the Emirates PGA Championship and Joshua Grenville-Wood selected as an invitee to both tournaments, where he finished in a share of second and 18th respectively.

“This is the second year of the Challenge Tour double header in Abu Dhabi,” said Akram Skaik, Director General at the Emirates Golf Federation.

“It’s such a good opportunity for us as a federation as we get 30 invites into each event, which allows us to give our players the opportunity to play in these elite tournaments.”

As well as giving local players vital experience of playing world class tournaments in Abu Dhabi, the EGF are able to swap some of their allocation with other international federations to allow UAE players to compete in other Challenge Tour events around the world, as well as Ladies European Tour (LET) tournaments for the country’s leading female talents.

Both Ahmad Skaik and Grenville-Wood used these to their advantage last season, with Skaik competing in four further Challenge Tour events, while Grenville-Wood, who was awarded the opportunity to represent the UAE last year, played in an additional ten tournaments on the 2023 Road to Mallorca.

Before a ball has even been struck at this year’s Challenge Tour double-header in the UAE, the EGF has already been busy exchanging invites with international federations.

Grenville-Wood came close to a first win on the Challenge Tour last month at the Delhi Challenge, finishing in a share of second at Classic Golf & Country Club after the EGF traded one of their invitations with the Indian Golf Union.

“This year, we’ve exchanged spots with around seven federations across the world and we’ve also given several LET spots to our girls,” added Skaik.

“We’re using our full allocation to support our players – it’s a great opportunity for us.

“It allows players to experience different events and courses all over the world. The courses we have here in the UAE are quite open, whereas in Europe they have narrow fairways and forests around the course.

“Last year was a bit of an experimental year for us with exchanging our invites with other federations, but this year we have handpicked the events we want our players to go and play.

“I don’t think any other federation has the opportunity that we have. It’s a great initiative.”

Eid al Fitr 2024 fireworks across UAE: Where to watch it in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

From Dubai’s Global Village to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, fireworks will light up the night sky to mark Eid al Fitr 2024

As Eid Al Fitr approaches, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and various locations in Dubai are preparing to dazzle residents and visitors alike with breathtaking fireworks displays and festive attractions.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store for the upcoming celebrations.

Fireworks in Abu Dhabi

Yas Island, renowned for its entertainment and leisure offerings, is poised to ignite the night sky with captivating fireworks displays at two of its premier destinations: Yas Marina and Yas Bay Waterfront. The festivities will commence at 9 pm each evening throughout the Eid holiday, promising guests an enchanting experience to commemorate this joyous occasion.

Al Hudayriyat Island

Additionally, thrill-seekers can head to Al Hudayriyat Island, also known as Abu Dhabi’s adventure playground, where a dazzling fireworks spectacle awaits on the first day of Eid at 9 pm in Marsana.

Global Village

Global Village invites visitors to immerse themselves in the spirit of Eid at the specially curated Eid Wonder Souq. Adorned with stalls offering souvenirs, gifts, food trucks, and themed kiosks, the open-air park promises an enchanting shopping and culinary experience. Daily fireworks displays at 9 pm from Wednesday to Sunday will further enhance the festive ambiance.

Dubai Festival City and Bluewater’s Island

Dubai skies are set to twinkle with unforgettable fireworks displays in celebration of Eid Al Fitr, courtesy of the Al Zarooni Group. Spread across three nights, from April 10 to 12, the shows will unfold across four locations in the emirate.

On April 10, residents and visitors can gather at Dubai Festival City Mall or venture to the scenic mountains of Hatta to witness the spectacular fireworks extravaganza marking the first night of Eid. The following day, spectators can head to the historic neighborhood of Al Seef for another spellbinding display, with waterfront restaurants and cafes offering prime viewing spots and special menus to enhance the festive experience.

Concluding the Eid festivities on April 12, Bluewaters Island and The Beach , JBR will illuminate with a breathtaking fireworks show. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure coveted vantage points at dining hotspots and savor the magical moments with loved ones. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere are enticing offers, promotions, and opportunities to win exciting prizes.

Each fireworks show is scheduled to commence at 8 pm and is free for all to attend, promising unforgettable moments of joy and camaraderie as communities come together to celebrate Eid Al Fitr.

Travel Unpacked: All-business class airline takes flight and 101 things to do in Abu Dhabi

T ravellers heading to the Maldives from Dubai can fly in luxury as all-business class airline Beond has launched flights to the paradisiacal Indian Ocean holiday spot. Etihad Airways has added a fourth destination in Saudi Arabia to its network and Abu Dhabi's new tourism campaign aims to give visitors summer travel inspiration.

Beond launches inaugural flight from Dubai to the Maldives

The world’s first premium leisure airline has launched its maiden flight from Dubai to the Maldives.

Beond airline aims to offer travellers an experience that is more akin to flying by private jet than premium or business-class travel on legacy airlines.

On Monday, the airline celebrated its first Dubai flight when its Airbus A319 departed Dubai World Central Airport bound for Male, the capital of the Maldives.

Every passenger on the flight was a premium one, thanks to the aircraft’s all-business seat configuration. Designed to offer a private-jet like journey, Beond’s cabins have 44 stylish seats all of which have lie-flat beds.

“The launch of our Dubai to Male service provides customers in the region with an unforgettable experience to the breathtaking Maldives, and with a wide selection of convenient flight options from which to choose. We have been very pleased with the receptivity to our new service so far, as we build Beond as the ultimate premium travel” said Tero Taskila, chief executive and chairman of Beond.

The airline is operating four flights per week from Dubai to the Maldives until July, with services increasing to six weekly after that. In July, the airline will also launch flights from Milan to the Maldives.

Currently, Beond flies from Munich, Zurich and Riyadh to the Indian Ocean holiday haven. Flights from Bangkok to Male are also in the pipeline, with the launch scheduled for summer this year.

Starting in July, the airline will also become the first in the world to offer travellers Apple Vision Pro headsets on flights. Loaded with films, games and more, they are designed to transform the in-flight entertainment experience.

Etihad announces a new route to Saudi Arabia

Etihad Airways will fly direct from Abu Dhabi to Al Qassim, in central Saudi Arabia .

Starting from June 24, the national airline of the UAE will begin four weekly flights from Zayed International Airport to Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz International Airport. It will be the fourth destination that Etihad operates to in the kingdom, after Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.

Famed for its date palms – Al Qassim supplies more than 70 countries with the fruit – the region is also where you’ll find Wadi al-Rummah, the longest valley in the Arabian Peninsula and the historic Mithnab Village, one of the most important ancient towns in the Kingdom.

“Launching the new service to Al Qassim this year is not just about introducing a new destination; it's also a celebration of Etihad’s 20 years of connecting Abu Dhabi with the rich culture and economic opportunities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” said Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer at Etihad Airways.

Travel and tourism on track to break records in 2024 says WTTC

The World Travel & Tourism Council is projecting that this year will be a record-breaking year for the sector.

Travel and tourism global economic contribution is set to reach an all-time high of $11.1 trillion, according to WTTC's 2024 Economic Impact Research. The report also found that it will contribute an additional $770 billion over its previous record, generating one in every 10 dollars worldwide.

With tourism recovering past pre-pandemic levels, WTTC expects that 142 of 185 countries analysed will outperform their previous national records.

International visitor spending will come close to its 2019 peak, reaching $1.89 trillion, while domestic tourists are forecast to spend more than in any year on record this year, with a figure of $5.4 trillion.

“This isn’t just about breaking records, we’re no longer talker about a recovery – this is a story of the sector back at its best after a difficult few years, providing a significant economic boost to countries around the world and supporting millions of jobs,” said Julia Simpson, WTTC president and chief executive.

“There’s a risk however, we need the US and Chinese governments to support their national travel and tourism sectors. The US and China will continue to suffer while other countries are seeing international visitors return much faster.”

Check into a Haunted Hotel at IMG World of Adventure

Thrill-seekers headed to Dubai’s IMG Worlds of Adventure will soon be able to check in at a different type of hotel, as the city’s spookiest hotel is reopening inside its largest indoor theme park .

Having undergone a massive renovation, The Haunted Hotel is ready to welcome the public with eight new scenes and spooky new characters. The ghostly abode welcomes daring visitors aged 15 and over, and invites brave souls to wander the haunted hallways and unravel the hotel’s dark history.

The Haunted Hotel opens its doors for check-in on the first day of the theme park’s Eid celebrations.

101 Abu Dhabi Do’s for summer

Abu Dhabi tourism is encouraging travellers to visit the emirate this summer with a new campaign that lists 101 Abu Dhabi Dos.

Detailing experiences and revealing the top attractions , as well as lesser known gems, the curated list has inspiration for things to do in Abu Dhabi for those on solo trips, family holidays, couples escapes or friends getaways.

Listed in alphabetical order by location, the 101 Abu Dhabi Dos list includes thrilling suggestions such as driving on an F1 track at Yas Marina Circuit and cultural proposals such as walking on the world’s largest hand-woven carpet at the UAE’s largest mosque.

Trying the world's biggest indoor flight chamber at Clymb, discovering centuries-old skills at the House of Artisans and scuba diving with more than 300 species at The National Aquarium are also among some of the suggestions, all of which can be found on the The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi’s website.

The new campaign follows tourism plans announced last week by Abu Dhabi’s tourism body. These include a target of attracting 39.3 million visitors a year and boosting the city's hotel rooms to 52,000 from the current 34,000 it currently has.

Abu Dhabi announced housing benefits worth Dh2.18 billion supporting 1,502 citizens across the emirate on Monday.

In his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi has approved the first disbursement of the first housing and benefits package in 2024.

The housing benefits package includes housing loans, ready-built houses and residential land grants, totaling more than Dh2.082 billion in value and aiding 1,407 citizens.

Additionally, senior citizens, retirees with low incomes, and the families of deceased citizens have been exempted from housing loan payments, amounting to more than Dh98 million. This exemption has directly benefited 95 citizens in the emirate.

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said, "The distribution of this year's first housing benefits package highlights our wise leadership's continued dedication to meeting the needs of our citizens and addressing their housing demands. This initiative strives to improve the welfare of our citizens and their families, promote stability, and nurture familial and social cohesion within the emirate, all while advancing its comprehensive development.

"We express our sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, for their directives to disburse the housing benefits package. This further reiterates our unwavering commitment to enhancing the housing sector for citizens in the emirate, in line with the vision of our leadership and their aspirations to enhance the quality of life for the people of our nation."

Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said, "The directives to distribute the new housing benefits package exemplify the priority of our leaders, showcasing their steadfast dedication to the wellbeing of Emirati citizens which is paramount focus on the national agenda."

He emphasised that the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority remains dedicated to continually improving its programmes and services to provide housing for all citizens in Abu Dhabi, while also advancing the housing sector in alignment with the directives and vision of the leadership.

The distribution of this year's first housing benefits package coincides with the upcoming Eid Al Fitr, reflecting the leadership's dedication to ensuring the wellbeing of Emirati families. This initiative seeks to provide adequate housing that meets their needs, enhances their welfare, and supports their stability and overall quality of life, thereby nurturing the continuous holistic development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

With this package, the total value of housing benefits disbursed since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority reaches more than Dh149 billion.
