Q, Murr and Sal have been making audiences laugh on Impractical Jokers since 2011, and just celebrated their 10-year milestone. Impractical Jokers is a top 5 comedy on cable, and truTV’s longest-running and top-rated original comedy.

Fans can purchase tickets at impracticaljokerslive.com during the official sale on Friday at 10 a.m., or take advantage of the pre-sale (code: IJDRIVE), which begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

The extended tour has also added stops in Cleveland, Detroit and Indianapolis. It will feature comedians James "Murr" Murray, Brian "Q" Quinn and Sal Vulcano. Fourth original member Joe Gatto left “Impractical Jokers” for personal reasons in 2021.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The stars of “Impractical Jokers” are hitting the road and bringing their laugh-out-loud antics to Cleveland. Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray and Sal Vulcano will appear in the June 3 show at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Joe Gatto, who left the TruTV series in the middle of its ninth season, isn’t part of the troupe’s “Drive Drive Drive Drive Drive Tour.”

“We are so excited to finally get back on tour next year,” the group said in a statement. “After the difficult last couple of years, we are looking forward to laughing again with all the Impractical Jokers fans out there and bringing them a personalized and intimate comedic experience like never before.”

The comedians were supposed to play Cleveland last December, but the show was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Pre-sale tickets will be available at impracticaljokerslive.com starting on December 7 at 10 a.m. The general public sale begins at 10 a.m. on Dec. 9 at RocketMortgageFieldHouse.com .

Their self-titled hidden camera show, TruTV’s longest-running and top-rated original comedy series, returns for its 10th season in February.

They may be called the Impractical Jokers but the fun-loving trio have become increasingly practical these past few years when it comes to their busy schedules.

“It takes a lot to build the show,” Brian “Q” Quinn told the New York Post in an exclusive interview. “We’re shooting season 11 now; then, we’re shooting season 12.”

That’s not all, though.

Q — along with his comedy bandmates Sal Vulcano and James “Murr” Murray — are currently on the road hitting arenas, symphony halls, theaters, casinos, and performing arts centers all over North America as part of their ongoing ‘Drive Drive Drive Drive Drive Tour’ named after an infamous stunt involving puppets.

That includes stops at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on May 5, Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Resort on July 13, Bethel’s Bethel Woods Center For The Arts on July July 19, Saratoga Springs’ Saratoga Performing Arts Center on July 20 and Syracuse’s Empower FCU Amphitheater on Aug. 23 for the Staten Island natives.

Due to their Herculean workload, they may be retiring the live show for a while.

“When this leg of the tour ends, I’m comfortable saying it will be years before you see us back on stage again,” Q explained. “It’s not a farewell tour because I’m sure we’ll be on stage again someday but if you want to see us together, this is the tour to come see.”

Even if they may be nearing the end of their touring lives for the time being, you won’t find a hint of melancholy onstage from the merry pranksters.

“Every night is fun,” Q smiled.

“We tell jokes and play videos we can’t show on television. Plus, this show (is) more interactive than the ones we had in the past.”

While Q couldn’t spill all the details, he did tease that the audience participation involves punishing Sal on stage.

“It’s a shocking punishment and we let a fan operate the buttons of pain. It’s the highlight of the show. Everybody’s crying laughing. Sal’s almost having a heart attack.”

Impractical Jokers Radio City history

The group has played the historic venue “six or seven times” according to Q.

Nothing made quite an impression like their first time at Radio City , though.

“It’s a union-run venue and they take it very seriously,” he said. “You’re not allowed to step onstage if it’s not showtime. So, the first time we played Radio City, we weren’t even allowed to go on the stage and look.”

“The first time I saw Radio City from that perspective was when we came out. It was like two minutes of us just gawking and the audience applauding. There were tears in our eyes. It was pretty wild. That doesn’t happen a lot.”

Impractical Jokers celebrity stories

Over the years, Q has had quite a few run-ins with big names.

“One time, J.K. Simmons’ wife and son came to one of our shows,” Q noted. “They sat in the front row. She’s very pretty and I made a comment about how pretty she was. Nothing disrespectful or anything like that.”

Cut to the “Spider-Man” premiere.

“I felt a presence over my shoulder. I turned around. J.K. was growling at me going, ‘I heard you called my wife pretty!’ When a guy you’ve been a fan of for years starts busting your chops like that, it’s pretty fun.”

When we asked about his favorite memory from the show, Quinn didn’t hesitate to answer.

“Every time I think about it, I still get excited,” he smiled.

“They did a punishment where Bruce Campbell came in. He basically put me through the plot of the first ‘Evil Dead’ movie. I was filthy, covered in blood. They broke real plates over my head and put tarantulas on me. That didn’t even make the final cut.”

Other standouts include Brooke Shields (“her capacity for comedy is unbelievable”), Post Malone (“the nicest guy around), and John Mayer (“we were only supposed to have do him one day but he wanted to do a full episode”).

There hasn’t been a dud in the bunch though, according to Q.

“Everybody who’s come on has been awesome,” he told us. “We even had the Alf puppet on!”

About “Drive Drive Drive Drive Drive”

For those not in the know, the tour is named after a classic Q punishment.

“We let the fans name this tour ‘Drive Drive Drive Drive Drive,'” Quinn recalled. This came from an episode where he drove around Manhattan with singing puppets that crooned the same 30-second song over and over for 12 hours.

“It was insane and it was real,” he was quick to tell us. “There was no time trickery. Now I bring the puppets on stage sometimes.”

'You can't claim chili!': 'Impractical Jokers' star Joe Gatto quizzed on Cincinnati trivia

Joe Gatto, who made us cringe and cackle for over a decade on "Impractical Jokers," will make Cincinnatians laugh once again this weekend. The television star and comic visits Taft Theatre on Saturday to perform stand-up comedy as part of his Night of Comedy Tour.

Gatto announced he was stepping away from "Impractical Jokers" for personal reasons last December. On the show – if you're one of the few that have never seen it – he and his friends Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray and Sal Vulcano entertained viewers with their hilarious public dares (and punishments).

Before his Cincinnati show, The Enquirer's News of Now editor David Wysong caught up with Gatto about going solo, parenting tips and his favorite TV memories.

We also quizzed him on Cincinnati trivia ‒ watch how he fared in our supplemental TikTok video . Spoiler alert: When asked what food dish Cincinnati is known for, Gatto was incredulous: "You guys didn't make chili. That's some B.S. You can't claim chili!" Our Q&A with Joe Gatto on his solo stand-up comedy tour

Wysong: How has your tour been so far?

Gatto: Fantastic. Being in front of the crowd is great. Doing stand-up has been a new challenge for me and I've really enjoyed it and I'm excited to be doing an hour now. Many people have gotten to know me through the TV show and now they're getting an hour of just me and getting to know me on a different level, which is really cool. The fans have come out, the support has been amazing and it's just good to get out there and laugh with people.

Wysong: What's been different for you going solo vs. being in a group?

Gatto: I'm now responsible for 100% of the funny, where I was responsible for 25% (laughs). So, if the show went bad, I could've blamed other people, but now it's all on me, buddy. It's interesting to have to carry the whole show by yourself for an hour and that's something that has been different for me, but I really enjoy the challenge and it's been fun getting to take time to tell my stories and letting people hear more from just me. These are the people that knew me and now get to know me on a different level. I talk about the guys and "Jokers," of course, friendship stories that didn't happen on camera, so people get a little bit of everything

Wysong: What's been your favorite moment so far?

Gatto: I get this a lot, when people are like, 'Oh my gosh, this was so funny! Thank you so much, you're so funny.' And I'm like, 'Thank you?' You weren't expecting it to be? (laughs). I tell everyone, I guarantee at least three to five laughs. That comes with the ticket price. Hopefully, you'll get some more.

Wysong: Have you been to Cincinnati before?

Gatto: Oh yeah, plenty of times. Ohio fans are the best, man. Cincinnati's always been a fun town. I'm really excited for the Cincinnati show because I'm bringing a surprise special guest with me, which is fun. I have to come back (home) after the Baltimore show for a 'Daddy and Me' event at my daughter's school, and then I'm going to surprise her and bring her to Cincinnati with me for the show. She's 7 years old and she loves seeing me on stage, so I think it's gonna be fun to have her there.

Wysong: Do you have any good Cincinnati memories?

Gatto: I do. I remember somebody told me the first time I went to Cincinnati that they didn't like it. They were like, 'Oh, you're not gonna like Cincinnati.' I think we were routing through Columbus or another part of Ohio, and they were like, 'You're not gonna like Cincinnati as much.' And I loved Cincinnati. So I was like, 'Well that person was wrong.' It's the people for me. Ohio overall has been great and I remember Cincinnati having a great vibe, with people coming out for a laugh to enjoy themselves and forget all the B.S. of life going on. So, I'm excited for it.

Wysong: What has life been like for you since "Impractical Jokers"?

Gatto: A rollercoaster, for sure. I take it day by day. Things went from bad, to not bad, to OK, to good and now I'm working on my way to great. But you know, you've got to focus on different things and find a reason to laugh. Being out there in front of people and making people laugh reminds me why I do what I do. Helping people deal with their stuff as I'm dealing with mine, I think, is very therapeutic.

Wysong: And you have a podcast now.

Gatto: Yep, I do the "Two Cool Moms" podcast with Steve Byrne, which is so much fun. Steve has been a friend of ours for years. I've known him for over a decade now. He and I both had mothers who gave great advice, so the theme of the podcast is we spend the first half hour talking about our childhood with our mothers and then we field questions submitted by fans and we give our best maternal advice. Sometimes it goes OK, sometimes it's terrible, but it's always funny.

Wysong: My wife's due date is this week, so I'd love some parental advice.

Gatto: Congratulations! I will say ‒ is this your first one?

Wysong: Yep, first one.

Gatto: OK, so I will shoot it straight and be honest with you: It's tough. Most people are like, 'You're gonna love it,' and it took me a couple years to even get used to having a kid. So, don't feel bad when you're like, 'What is this thing?' Because that's gonna be your instinct. Just go with it. And it's important to remember that the mother is the most important thing, and you won't even rate for like the first two years. Your job is to try to help her help that baby. Rub feet. Wash bottles. That's my advice. It changes everything, but in a really cool way.

Wysong: What was it like being on "Impractical Jokers" for so many years, and getting to do that with your best friends?

Gatto: It was great. That's the biggest adjustment now, is that we have to actually make an effort to see each other. It's hard. One time, we went 32 days in a row where we saw each other every day, between work and promo and press. So now, when we see each other, there's like a real catchup.

Wysong: Do you have a favorite behind-the-scenes moment that you can share?

Gatto: People always love the genie punishment bit, when I was the genie. And I've gotten Q with it a few times over the years. But one of the funniest moments for both of us was when I was the genie and he randomly told me to punch a wall, and I thought all the walls were break-away, but I punched the one wall that was actually part of the building and it didn't break away. I really hurt my hand (laughs) and I was like, 'It's a real wall!' I squealed in a way that made him actually crumble, off-camera. There have been countless, countless memories.

Wysong: Besides you, who's the funniest?

Gatto: I think I'm tied for second. I've always said that Sal Vulcano is the funniest guy I know. He makes me laugh in a way that is friendship-defining. He's one of my three favorite people to make laugh: it goes him, my sister Carla and Steve Byrne.

‘Impractical Jokers’ cast head to Radio City for live tour

The “ Impractical Jokers ” comedy trio known for their long-running TV show is bringing their banter and shenanigans to Radio City Music Hall on May 5 as a part of their live tour. 

Comedians and New York natives Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray and Sal Vulcano are best known for taking turns embarrassing one another on their hidden camera show full of public pranks and punishments.

As part of “ The DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE Tour ,”  they’ll continue that same light-hearted fun with story-telling, stand-up, exclusive video footage from the show and behind-the-scenes looks of their life on the road.

“Making ‘Impractical Jokers’ is the adventure of a lifetime for us, but it’s in touring that we truly get to interact and, dare we say, party with our beloved fans,” Quinn said in a statement. “Every single live show is a chance for us to play with and entertain the good people who have supported us all these years, and we love it

“Our whole deal is just about having fun. Like everything else we do, if it’s not fun, it doesn’t work,” Quinn told amNewYork Metro. “We don’t want to do anything that makes people think. Just come and laugh and shut your brain off. We’re not saving lives or anything but [fun] has always been the heart of things.”

Impractical Jokers has come a long way, according to Quinn. What started as a group of lifelong friends from Staten Island performing live improv and sketch comedy, grew into truTV’s longest-running original comedy series.

“The first time we saw the venue from the stage was when the curtain went up and man it was like two minutes of just looking at each other. We didn’t even speak like we just had tears in our eyes. It was pretty crazy,” Quinn said.

In 2021, the show took a pivot when one of the original members of the group, Joe Gatto, announced he would be leaving the group to focus on family. The remaining members weren’t sure what the show’s future would be at the time.

“To be back here now, it is pretty remarkable that we pulled it off,” he said. “We could’ve ended the show or started a different show. We couldn’t have not gone touring anymore but I love doing it. The writers and the crew are family to me and to not be around them would’ve been heartbreaking.”
