Jason Aldean Announces 2023 Highway Desperado Tour

Jason Aldean will ride again in 2023: The star just announced his upcoming Highway Desperado Tour, which is set to kick off in mid-July in Bethel, N.Y.

The jaunt will extend through October, wrapping in Tampa, Fla. at the end of that month.

Joining Aldean on tour are Mitchell Tenpenny , country newcomer Corey Kent and Dee Jay Silver, the latter of whom is a regular guest act on Aldean's headlining tours. Tickets for the 41 dates on the tour go on sale to the general public starting Friday (Feb. 17), with special VIP packages — including admission to pre-show Q&As and acoustic performances — also available.

The Highway Desperado Tour follows Aldean's 2022 Rock N' Roll Cowboy Tour , which kept the star busy for the bulk of 2022. In between those two headlining tours, the singer has played several festivals and one-off dates.

Aldean's latest musical release is his double album, Macon, Georgia , which he put out over the course of 2021 and 2022. The front half of the project,  Macon,  arrived in November 2021, and Georgia completed the project the following April. Altogether, the project — which was Aldean's 10th studio album — was an homage to his hometown.

There's no word yet on whether or not the singer plans to release a new album to  go along with his 2023 tour plans.

The ‘Highway Desperado’ may be making a pit stop in your town this year.

From July through October, country superstar Jason Aldean will tour all over North America as part of his upcoming ‘Highway Desperado Tour’ with special guests Mitchell Tenpenny, Corey Kent and Dee Jay Silver.

On the run, the “You Make It Easy” singer has two huge New York gigs lined up too.

First, he’ll play at Bethel’s Bethel Woods Center For The Arts on July 14. Two days later, Aldean is scheduled to headline at Saratoga Springs’ Saratoga Performing Arts Center on July 16.

And if you want to see Aldean play tracks from his ambitious double-album “Macon” and “Georgia” live, you can secure tickets as early as today .

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Feb. 17, fans who want to ensure they have seats ahead of time can  purchase on sites like Vivid Seats  before tickets are officially on sale.

Jason Aldean 2023 tour schedule

Prior to the official 41-concert tour, Aldean has two one-off gigs scheduled.

First, he’ll perform at Houston’s Houston Rodeo at NRG Stadium on March 6; then, on June 24, he’s set to play North Platte, NE’s Wild West Arena on June 24.

Once the tour officially begins, Aldean has shows in Cincinnati (July 21), Atlanta (Aug. 5), Charlotte (Aug. 10), Chicago (Sept. 9) and Denver (Oct. 7).

The Highway Desperado will conclude his run of shows at Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fair Grounds on Oct. 28.

Most recently, Aldean released his heartfelt, holiday “Christmas In Dixie” single in late 2022.

Before that though, the two-time Country Music Awards winner unleashed his double album “Macon” and “Georgia” to the world in 2021 and 2022 respectively.

Jason Aldean Announces Highway Desperado 2023 Tour

Jason Aldean is heading back out on the road in 2023. The “That’s What Tequila Does” singer announces his Highway Desperado 2023 Tour, kicking off on July 14 in Bethel, New York, and performing in 41 cities, wrapping up on October 28 in Tampa, Florida. Mitchell Tenpenny will serve as direct support, with Corey Kent and Dee Jay Silver also joining Aldean on tour as well.

Aldean announced the exciting news on social media.

The father of four wrapped up his Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour last year.   Gabby Barrett was originally slated to join Aldean for all dates, but had to skip the second half of the tour due to her pregnancy. She was replaced by a list of hitmakers, including Tracy Lawrence  and  Travis Tritt , to open for Aldean instead.

“I don’t think it’s any secret that Tracy Lawrence has been one of my heroes forever. And Travis, too,” Aldean gushed to Everything Nash and other outlets during a media event last year. “I remember going to see Travis Tritt at the Omni in Atlanta when I was a teenager, and he was one of those guys that did the country Southern rock thing, and I just thought that was so cool. And obviously, he was a big influence for me, too. And so to have those guys out … my graduation present from high school was tickets to go see Tracy Lawrence. So here I am, out on tour, and these guys are opening for me. It’s pretty wild.”

Jason Aldine Williams (born February 28th, 1977), better known by his stage name, Jason Aldean, is an American country musician from Macon, Georgia, who’s been making music since 2005.

The trajectory of Aldean’s career to date serves as a sharp example of the old adage that good things come to those who wait, although you could certainly forgive him for wishing that things had panned out a little more simply for him. He seemed to have the world at his feet in 1998; at the age of twenty-one, he signed a record deal with Warner-Chappell. He was subsequently, and repeatedly, dropped, and spent some years struggling to get his music career - something which had once looked like a dead-cert - off the ground. It meant that he didn’t manage to get his self-titled debut record out into the world until 2005, although it brought the success that his talent had always promised; “Why” became his first number one single on the U.S. Country charts, and the album itself would eventually go platinum in his homeland, too.

Since then, he’s released a further three platinum albums and another, November 2010’s “My Kinda Party”, that was certified triple-platinum. He’s a bona fide country titan now, with a slew of Grammy nominations and another Billboard number one position for his latest album, October 2010’s Old Boots, New Dirt, proof of his national stardom.

The concert was a 16th birthday present for my daughter. She has been listening to country music for only a year or so and none of her close friends share her interests in it. She didn't know that our seats were on the field and her face when we stopped and picked up the field wristband was priceless! What a great beginning for the night. I know that more than one song of Jason's has helped her through a few things over the past few months. It all started while she was reading a book a while back that had the words to Jason's song She's Country in it. It not only touched the heroine's heart but my daughter's too. Not yet a Jason fan, she decided to find out what other songs were his. The rest is history. The concert was truly a wonderful experience - from Tyler Farr, Florida Georgia Line and then.....JASON ALDEAN!! The fireworks that started the show and visuals throughout were great. A surprise duet with Kelly Clarkson (on video), great selection of songs; even a new song too. Loved his interaction with the lady and the t shirt during 1994. It was a great night with my daughter. We were sorry to see it end. Fortunately, Jason was gracious enough to do one encore. How about the encore??!!! We couldn't believe the incredible song choice - She's Country with a sky full of fireworks!!!!! It just doesn't get any better than that!!! Thanks Jason for stopping in Philly.

Any country fan is encouraged to see the charismatic Jason Aldean perform live to see an artist who adds real show to his country sound. Supported by a tight backing band who Alden continuously interacts, jams and thanks throughout the show, the Tennessee singer/songwriter is confident onstage to say the least.

The guitar string intro of 'Hicktown' receives massive cheers from the crowd as Jason launches into a barrage of hit singles in such quick succession that the first ten minutes of the show are one massive barn-storming blur. His last two albums have hit the top spot on the US Billboard chart so a percentage of his audience are made of new supporters and Jason caters to them with huge renditions of 'Night Train' and 'Take A Little Ride'.

Whilst he accommodates his older, loyal fans with the likes of 'Amarillo Sky' and 'Johnny Cash'. Either way, all the crowd seem to enjoy every song by the sound of applause throughout. 'She's Country', his usual set closer evokes massive roars of appreciation from the audience and spurs Aldean on further as his whole band before this massive country toe tapping swan song.

My husband my son and I went to Lakewood in Atlanta to see Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia line and Tyler Farr. The tickets were reserve pit. My 10 year old son got to high five Jason. It was an amazing and unforgettable night. The tickets were about $100 per person but to us was worth every dime. We took a lot of great pics. The staff at Lakewood were very helpful and nice. Jason Aldean is an awesome performer. He played all our favorite songs. He rocked the ATL. By far my favorite concert EVER! I hope I get to see him live again. The sound was great and Jason sounded perfect. I'm glad he picked Florida Georgia line to tour with him. I think it is a perfect combination. They even rocked out together at the end in an awesome jam session. If you get a chance, go see Jason!

This show was way beyond packed. I didn't know it could get that full at the sleep train. We had to park about a mile out and walk just to catch the very end of Thomas Rhett which was super lame. Wish we could have seen all of us his show. Also jason aldean put on a great show much better than super graphicy one last year - but the encore was really weird and really wanted to hear Texas was You but nope a few too many new boring songs. Jason Aldean and this tour is clearly the king of country right now.

AWSOME!!!! Fire works good music totally legit concert I would advise if you are a Jason aldean fan go see him live its even better sounds exactly how he does on the radio. He also performed all of his hits down to his earliest number ones and hits. light show "shes country"and "crazy town" had the most effects during the show flame throwers as well. Too much to tell. If you love Jason aldean you have to go see him live he will not let you down just awesome.

Kane Brown was amazing and Jason Aldean rocked the house. Montage Mountain is still a disaster to get to. Must be run by the 3 Stooges. Took an hour to get up the hill, missed half the concert. You would think k after all these years somebody competent could figure out traffic slow. Never going back to that venue. How many years of constant complaints about traffic and parking before somebody cares Montage ?

What a fantastic show! 10/10, absolutely amazing. I will remember last night for a long time, as I had a blast and sung my heart out with Jason Aldean and his headliners a Thousand Horses and Thomas Rhett. The stage setup and lighting was phenomenal, and really added to the great experience of the show.

The concert was great especially the atmosphere . Great fans knew all the words to the songs. It was a huge part especially the tailgating before the show

Absolutely amazing! I even brought a friend with me who doesn't even listen to country and she had a blast! She now loves Aldean just as much as me. She even made me stop at the store on the way home so she could buy all his albums they had! I got her hooked and I'm proud. :)

The concert was incredible! The only bad part was the amount of time it took toget into the concert and the amount of time it took to get out of the parking lot. Other than those two issues, the concert was great.

Country star will play more than 40 dates this summer

Jason Aldean announced his upcoming Highway Desperado Tour with special guests Mitchell Tenpenny, Corey Kent, and Dee Jay Silver. The 41-city headlining tour kicks off July 14th in Bethel, NY and runs through October 28th in Tampa.

Aldean Army members get first access to tickets starting Tuesday, February 14th at 10 am local time through Thursday, February 16th at 10 pm local venue time. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, February 17th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster .

The country wrapped another milestone year in 2022 with two No. 1 hits – “ If I Didn’t Love You ” and “ Trouble With A Heartbreak ” with “ That’s What Tequila Does ” currently climbing the country radio charts at No. 7, a critically acclaimed monster double album Macon, Georgia  and his hugely successful Rock And Roll Cowboy Tour . Winning the coveted ACM Single of the Year, iHeartRadio Country Song of the Year, CMT Collaborative Video of the Year and earning Billboard and Grammy nominations for his history-making and chart-breaking hit single “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood, the multi-week No. 1 is also currently nominated at the 2022 CMA Awards for Musical Event of the Year.

Country star Jason Aldean has announced 2023 tour dates, billed as Highway Desperado .

The newly planned concerts are set at large-scale venues across North America from July into late October. Joining Jason for the new dates will be Mitchell Tenpenny, Cory Kent, and Dee Jay Silver. Aldean also has a handful of festival performances lined up in the coming months.

Country music star suffers heart attack, cancels all tour dates

Country star Colt Ford remains in the intensive care unit after suffering a heart attack on April 4 following his show in Arizona at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row bar and has canceled or rescheduled all summer tour dates.

The “Dirt Road Anthem” singer had a show scheduled for Thursday in Woodford, Virginia, but it has been canceled as have all performances through Aug. 30. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase and all existing tickets for rescheduled shows will be honored, Taste of Country reported .

Ford’s publicity team said in a statement on April 9 that his condition was “steadily improving in a positive direction.”

“At this time, his family is requesting privacy and appreciates your continued thoughts and prayers,” the statement continued.

Meanwhile, Mike Flaskey, the CEO of Mike Flaskey Entertainment, posted April 11 on X, formerly Twitter, that Ford was “awake and talking, after being incapacitated for 7 days.”

“God has worked a miracle and we need those prayers to continue for a full recovery!” Flaskey concluded.

Following the news of Ford’s heart attack, many of his friends, family and those in the country music industry showed an outpouring of support for him.

“Prayers for (Colt Ford),” PGA and Nike Tour golfer Charlie Rymer wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “He’s in a tough spot with his health. Send (love) and (prayer). THANK YOU!!!!”

“Alright #RowdyRebels … our brother in Christ and music (Colt Ford) suffered a heart attack and is in critical condition,” country singer Blind Joe wrote in a post on X. “Need those prayers once again! Let’s go! #PrayerIsPowerful.”

Ford, who has worked closely with Toby Keith , Jamey Johnson and Jason Aldean, has suffered from a series of health issues in recent years. Last year, it was reported that he was battling a autoimmune disease, myasthenia gravis , and it was also previously reported that he had surgery three years ago related to eye cancer .

Ford has released eight studio albums since 2008. His most recent, “Must Be Country,” was released last year.

Country star still in ICU after heart attack, cancels tour

Country star Colt Ford is still in the ICU after suffering a heart attack this month, forcing him to cancel his upcoming summer tour dates.

The “Workin’ On” singer was hospitalized Thursday, April 4 after a performance at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona, near Phoenix. He was reportedly transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale on Friday and listed in stable but critical condition.

According to TMZ , Ford is still in the ICU. He’s steadily improving, but is “far from out of the woods” and needs to call off the rest of his 2024 tour.

He was next scheduled to perform April 18 in Virginia and at “Rock the Country” on April 19 in Kentucky, plus had a slew of shows booked through August. Refunds are being offered through the point of purchase. No concerts were scheduled in Upstate New York; Ford played del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo in 2022.

Mike Flaskey, the former CEO of Diamond Resorts and current CEO of Mike Flaskey Entertainment, said on April 11 that he received permission from Ford’s team to share “some positive news.”

“He’s awake and talking, after being incapacitated for 7 days from a life threatening health issue after his last show. God has worked a miracle and we need those prayers to continue for a full recovery!” Flaskey wrote on X .

According to PennLive , health updates have been few and far between, but those in his circle said the “odds of survival were grim” initially.

Ford, 53, is a Georgia native known for his mix of country and hip-hop, including co-writing and originally recording “Dirt Road Anthem” before it became a No. 1 hit for Jason Aldean . Ford has collaborated with artists like Aldean, Hardy, Toby Keith , Upchurch, Taylor Ray Holbrook, Bubba Sparxxx, Mitchell Tenpenny, Chase Rice, Tracy Byrd, Tracy Lawrence and Brantley Gilbert.

According to Billboard, Ford is also a former professional golfer who has publicly disclosed past health struggles including surgery for eye cancer and a longtime battle with the autoimmune disease Myasthenia Gravis.

“The doctor told me I was a week to 10 days from having to go on full chemo,” he told People magazine in 2021.

Ford reportedly performed a two-and-a-half hour concert at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, and didn’t show any signs of fatigue or illness during his 17-song set. Fans said he even lifted his mic stand high up in the air during his closing song, “Cricket on a Line.”

A Year After ‘Small Town' Ban, Jason Aldean Performs at 2024 CMT Music Awards

While Jason Aldean 's performance at the 2024 CMT Music Awards was fairly straightforward for the country hitmaker, his appearance on the network's signature awards show had some people raising their eyebrows.

Singing "Let Your Boys Be Country," a twangy rocker from his 2023 album Highway Desperado and top 20 hit on Billboard ‘s Country Airplay chart, Aldean demonstrated why he's one of the more reliable live performers in the genre. Though the show was broadcast from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, Aldean's performance was filmed outdoors at the University of Texas at Austin.  

More than a few people – both critics and fans of Aldean – wondered why he was included as part of the show. Not quite a year ago, CMT pulled Aldean's "Try That In a Small Town" music video from its airwaves, prompted by criticism from people who said the video demonized Black Lives Matter, if not Black people in general, with some going as far as to call it a "modern day lynching song." Certainly a pro-gun, anti-protest song that places small-town America as a morally superior place to big cities, "Small Town" wasn't a runaway hit for Aldean until the controversy turned it into a political lightning rod. The ensuing debate ended up propelling the song to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 , with Aldean's defenders supporting it in defiance of critics.

When Aldean tweeted about his CMT performance on April 3, comments on X demonstrated that the polarizing song continues to define public perception of Aldean. Some fans questioned why Aldean would bother with the CMTs after they pulled his video; some said they were no longer fans after "Small Town"; and some subtweeted the CMT Awards for platforming him at all. Plenty of X users, however, simply expressed excitement.

Aldean's CMT performance, incidentally, took place under the UT Austin's main building, also known as The Tower. In 1966, The Tower was the site of a massacre when a student took a rifle and fatally shot 14 people from the observation deck. Aldean's own history, sadly, touches on another gun massacre in American history. During the 2017 Route 91 music festival in Las Vegas, a gunman opened fire on the crowd during Aldean's closing set, killing 60 people.

Aldean was not at the Moody Center but performed “Let Your Boys Be Country” from an outside stage at the University of Texas Tower.

The award show was broadcast live on CBS, but months ago, CMT removed the “Try That In A Small Town” music video from its rotation after being criticized for promoting violence.

Following the controversy, Aldean released a statement on X/Twitter denying that his song was anti-BLM and pro-lynching.

“In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests,” Aldean posted back in July 2023. “These references are not only meritless, but dangerous. There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it- and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage -and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music- this one goes too far.”

“You guys know how it is, in this day and age, cancel culture is a thing. That’s something that if people don’t like what you say they try to make sure they can cancel you, which means try to ruin your life, ruin everything,” Aldean said to his fans. “One thing I saw this week was a bunch of country music fans that can see through a lot of the bullshit. I saw country music fans rally like I’ve never seen before and it was pretty badass, I gotta say. Thank you guys so much.”

Following the backlash, the music video was edited to remove the clips from the BLM protests .

In the Moscow region there is a small cozy town Elektrostal. Its sights for the most part have no historical value due to the fact that the city has a relatively small history. Today the population of the city is 158 thousand people. Until the beginning of the 20th century there were several small workers' settlements here. After the opening of the electrometallurgical and equipment factories, the place began to be called the natural boundary of Calm. The construction of the railway made this settlement accessible, and workers and families flocked here to earn money. In 1925, the station was named Elektrostal, and the rapid increase in population allowed the village to receive the status of a city.

The founder of the city is a prominent Russian industrialist Nikolai Vtorov. It was he who opened the plant here, creating, in fact, a city-forming enterprise that is still operating. In Soviet times, it was a closed facility, and it was not easy to get to work here.

Today Elektrostal is a promising industrial city with a great future and a heroic past. It bears the proud name "City of Military and Labor Glory".

Until 1999, there was no central museum among the attractions of Elektrostal in the Moscow Region. The expositions were exhibited in schools, the house of culture, in factory museums. The city was closed, so there was no large influx of tourists and visitors. The appearance of the historical and art museum made it possible for residents and guests of the city to learn a lot of useful information about their native land, the formation of the production process, and the difficult years of the war. The exposition consists of paintings by local artists, historical artifacts, household items, documents, books and much more. The collection is updated regularly. It also hosts outdoor exhibitions, which are always popular with the townspeople.

One of the main attractions of Elektrostal, the photo of which is available to almost every resident or visitor, is the Main Alley.
