Jennifer Lopez has canceled seven dates of her first North American tour in five years, in support of her new album “This Is Me… Now ” and its pair of companion films.
The dates spanning Aug. 20-31 in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston were listed as canceled on Ticketmaster at some point on Wednesday; the Cleveland and Houston dates apparently had been removed from the itinerary earlier, as they were part of the tour’s originally announced itinerary on Feb. 15 but are no longer present on the site at all. An u pdated itinerary can be found on her social media accounts.
Popular on Variety
The album, tour and two films are part of a self-financed $20 million three-part multimedia project examining, as Variety described in a recent cover article , “Lopez’s life as a serial romantic,” regarding her reunion with actor Ben Affleck, whom she married in 2022 nearly two decades after the high-profile superstar couple originally split in the wake of their flop 2003 romantic comedy “Gigli.”
A rep for the artist did not immediately respond to Variety ’s request for comment; the cancellation notice reads simply, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.”
The cancellations come after Lopez’s new album — her first in a decade — also titled “This Is Me…Now,” debuted at a disappointing No. 38 on the Billboard 200 last month.
The project, which also includes the musical film, “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” and a documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” is apparently intended as a love-conquers-all statement.

In an interview this week, Lopez said her first studio LP since 2014’s A.K.A. is “the best album that I’ve ever made … The most honest and true – it took a long time for me as a musical artist to get there. I’m really happy and proud of this in a way that I don’t think I ever have been before.”
Lopez’s ninth album is a sequel of sorts to her 2002 This Is Me… Then collection, which she released when she was first dating Ben Affleck, to whom she is now married. “They’ve followed me on that journey and watched me make mistakes and go in and out of relationships and wondered what was going on,” JLo said about her fans.
Lopez and Affleck split in 2004, then reunited in 2021 and tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas wedding in July 2022 – 20 years after the original album’s release. The new album also features a sequel to a track from the first This Is Me album, “Dear Ben Pt. II,” plus the previously released dance-y single “ Can’t Get Enough .”

Jennifer Lopez has canceled shows in seven cities on her upcoming " This Is Me…Now The Tour ," her first tour in five years.
According to Ticketmaster's website , Lopez will no longer stop in Nashville, New Orleans, Raleigh, Atlanta, Houston, Cleveland and Tampa.
Ticketmaster's website says that the event organizer has canceled the event and that no action is required to obtain a refund. At this time, the reason for the canceled shows is unknown.
USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Lopez, Ticketmaster and Live Nation.
Some fans expressed disappointment in the comments section on the website.
"The concert in Raleigh was cancelled. and for several days now we have been waiting for at least some comments, but no one is giving them. This is disrespectful towards the audience! In February, Lopez announced her upcoming tour in celebration of her new record "This Is Me...Now," which released in mid-February as a 16-track deluxe album.
Lopez has said that this might be her final album and she doesn’t suggest otherwise when asked to explain why she would be happy with “This is Me … Now” as her swan song.
“This was going to be the quintessential thing I have been searching for and wanted to say about love. I’ve been guy on this search for so long, since people first met me and my first record came out and even before that in my first movie role, where I’ve been on this journey trying to figure this thing out for myself. This (album) kind of closed the loop in a way,” Lopez previously told USA TODAY.
Jennifer Lopez says new album sums up her feelings, could be her last: 'True love does exist'
She added: “It captures this moment to really say the things I want to say about love, and that is that true love does exist and some things are forever. Please don’t give up on that because that’s all that matters in life … love.”
The upcoming tour will also feature Lopez's chart-breakers and classic hits from her discography, like songs "On The Floor," "Let's Get Loud" and "Jenny from the Block." Lopez's most recent tour in 2019, the "It's My Party" tour, sold out venues across the country.

Jennifer Lopez (born July 24, 1969) is an American R&B, pop and Latin music singer, best known for her smash hits “Jenny from the Block” and “All I Have”, hailing from The Bronx, New York, U.S.
Prior to pursuing music as a career, Jennifer Lopez trained in musical theatre before making her on-screen debut with a modest role in the film “My Little Girl”. Whilst the album earned little critical attention it cemented Lopez’s acting dreams and she subsequently performed in productions of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Oklahoma” before becoming a Fly Girl on the TV show “In Living Color”. Following further appearances in the films “Selena”, “Blood and Wine”, “U Turn”, and “Antz”, Lopez released her debut music single “If You Had My Love”. The debut record shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first person to have a debut No. 1 since Britney Spears, and raised the anticipation for her full-length.
The studio album “On the 6” was released in June 1999 praised for its R&B, pop and Latin influences. Spawning the subsequent singles “No Me Ames”, “Waiting for Tonight”, and “Feelin’ So Good”, the record propelled the already popular Lopez to household name status. The full-length “J.Lo” followed in January 2001 marking a change in image for the singer with a move towards a more sexualised style. The album topped the Billboard 200 aided by the singles “Love Don’t Cost a Things” and “Play”, the same week her film “The Wedding Planner” debut atop the box office.
In February 2002 the signer issued the remix album “J to that L-O! The Remixes” led by the single “Ain’t It Funny (Murder Remix)". Dedicated to her partner at the time Ben Affleck, Lopez’s third studio album “This Is Me… Then” was released in November 2002. Debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the record draws influence from the likes of Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder and spawned the singles “Jenny from the Block” and “All I Have”. Following acting appearances in “Maid in Manhattan”, “Gigli”, and “Shall We Dance?”, the signer released her fourth studio album “Rebirth” in 2005.
The full-length “Como Ama una Mujer”, Lopez’s first Spanish-speaking album, was issued in 2007, produced by partner Marc Anthony and Estéfano. Debuting at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, the record topped the Billboard Top Latin Album chart, and allowed Lopez to represent her Puerto Rican roots. Also in 2007 the singer released the album “Brave” led by the singles “Do It Well” and “Hold It Don’t Drop It”. Despite disappointing sales and chart placing the record earned positive reviews and features production from longtime producer Cory Rooney and Bloodshy. The full-length “Love?” arrived in 2011, followed by “A.K.A.” in 2014, which spawned the singles “I Luh Ya Papi”, “First Love”, and “Booty”.
Live reviews
JLo’s Concert was just amazing! After seeing her sing at the world cup opening ceremony with Pitbull and Claudia Leitte I was expecting a BIG show, and she exceeded my expectations! She was able to change her costume more than 8 times, just imagine. She appeared on stage lowering down from a rounded platform that opened like a flower, and directly began singing her new big hit I Luh Ya Papi, everybody just started dancing. Seeing Jenny live in concert is just like a big party, fans dance so much, because really it’s impossible not to move your feet! She kept moving around the stage, full of energy. When you stopped bouncing and moving your hips, she would just surprise you singing one of her famous songs and would cheer you up again, non stop. Come on you should have seen the reaction when she started singing Jenny from the Block, the crowd just went crazy. You can really see that she’s been in the game for many years because she naturally knows how to engage with her audience.
Staging is one of her strengths, there was a Tropical theme decoration, and all the dancers were dressed up in hawaiian clothes. With The Brazilian World Cup fever she just created a nice ambience for a cool summer concert. I even bought a pineapple T-shirt from her tour, I had such a good time that I wanted a souvenir :)

If you love to dance, party, or just have a good time, you MUST go and see J-Lo live. I haven't danced so much at a concert before, ever, and it was the most fun. Her enthusiasm and energy encourages the audience to get involved, sing along, and just have fun. She's a wonderful performer as well as vocalist, and watching her energy is so refreshing. She played for an hour and 15 minutes, maintaining her intense energy and fab perfromance throughout, and I think we were as tired as her by the end of the concert! As well as a flawless performance, she looked fantastic and engaged with the audience, proving that as well as a tallented superstar, she is a genuinely down to earth lovely person, although she has released a whopping 10 albums! As well as being a great performer, J-Lo is a working mom, entrepeneur, and actress, juggling her careers admirably. An artist who will give a great performance every single time. Yes, tickets may be expensive, but they're really worth every penny.
jlo's concert was definitely an unforgettable experience. The whole show was stirring up a nuclear in the pit of my stomach.
She's definitely one of my favorite all in all people as she's very multitalented. Her improvisation, dancing, singing, and clothing definitely turns heads and never fails to impress. Her story and how far she came to how she's improved herself and her music is inspirational to see how Jenny from the Block came to be this independent Jennifer Lopez we all have come to know and love today.
She never fails to satisfy us in all the genres she creates tunes in appealing to us on all our song playing devices and some songs so relateable you can't help but to sing and dance along to her beats. She started off with mixtapes and continued into big named record labels but is still down to earth and generally humble. Watching her live is definitely worth the splurge and you'll definitely enjoy it.
I have been a huge fan of Jennifer Lopez since I was little girl dancing in kips bay in the Bronx and I use to see her picture on wall because she was a fly girl on in living color at the time. It was always my dream to meet her and see her in concert. I had one of my dreams come true and it was so much more then what I expected and I got to share it with my daughter too!
This show was a 50th birthday gift, and it was nothing short of amazing! JLO truly gives all she has to her fans! From the different sets, costume changes, choreography, just the entire production is phenomenal! If anyone has the opportunity to take in a Vegas show, JLo: "All I Have" is definitely the one! I would rate it 5 stars!!!!
My first time seeing Jennifer López. I’ve been a huge fan since I was a little girl and JLO did not disappoint! Amazing concert. The dancing and singing was on fire! So many costume changes, the lights the fireworks, everything! It was truly a PARTY! I can only hope to see JLO again!
It was a great concert I love Jennifer Lopez she brought the house down in Chicago she got it going on I enjoyed my self I took plenty of pictures and videos great music great performance I had great seats very good she’s the best it’s one of the best concerts I have been too
Jenny from block delivered on the dance floor serving us glitter and glam but I wish there was less of the new material and more of the hits, after all we we’re celebrating her 50th birthday and what better way than to showcase her repertoire.
Fantastic and superb entertainer! Best show of the summer. Riveting performance. Great special light effects. Jennifer Lopez performed for 2 hours. Spectacular! A must see show - not to be missed
The Queen showed up & showed out. Everything I imagined & then some. Absolute dream come true to see her live. She is THEE entertainer of our time! No complaints here!

Has Anyone Seen J.Lo’s Missing Tour Dates?
Jennifer Lopez was set to kick off her This Is Me … Now tour this summer. But some fans will have to settle for seeing the self-styled auteur in concert … later. Two weeks after tickets for J.Lo’s latest tour went on sale, Entertainment Weekly reported that some of the tour dates had mysteriously been removed . The five canceled shows were set to take place in late August across Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, and New Orleans, but those shows now appear on Ticketmaster with the accompanying message: “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.”
Aside from posting a revised tour schedule on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, Lopez has not acknowledged nor explained the disappearing shows. EW , however, reports that the cancellations were likely due to a “logistical issue” on the tour promoter’s end and that there might still be hope for fans of the “affected cities.” Until more information is released, J.Lo fans will have to settle for a refund and a little bitterness. We have reached out to Lopez’s reps for comment on the matter and will update this post if we hear back.
According to Us Weekly , some fans have speculated that the missing shows might be due to unexpectedly low ticket sales. The outlet reports that J.Lo’s ninth studio album is her least popular musical effort to date, climbing to the 38th spot on the Billboard 200 before dropping off the chart altogether. The album’s less-than-satisfactory commercial performance is also surely a knock to the singer’s ego and bank account, considering she spent more than $20 million on the whole extravaganza. I’m sure one half of Bennifer will fill us in eventually. J.Lo has never much liked leaving anything to the imagination anyway.

The enduring power of J.Lo: How Jennifer Lopez marks our lives then … and now
Jennifer Lopez knows how to grab our attention.
Her latest project, an album and accompanying musical film titled “This is Me… Now," has been both praised and criticized, with many in between trying to understand what Lopez’s latest artistic endeavor even means.
Yet the myriad reactions dissecting the project all point to one key fact. Like it or not, we're talking about J.Lo.
“She’s an anomaly,” culture critic Jack Rico told NBC News. "Today, I don’t think it’s possible to fully comprehend and grasp how special Jennifer Lopez is. ... She should be a case study, the same way we have college classes for Bad Bunny or Taylor Swift .”
In a way, the Lopez enigma is at the center of her enduring power as someone who marked a generation of millennials — especially Latino millennials like me.
Lopez has “cracked all of the walls and barriers” society placed on her and more broadly places on Latinos, on women and on people over 50, Rico said. “She’s a defiance.”
People my age don’t remember a time when Lopez wasn’t a big deal — setting trends with her music and dance moves, her acting performances and her fashion choices.
Lopez has worked consistently through the years — she has starred in over 35 movies, released nine studio albums, produced and appeared in countless TV shows, published a memoir, completed a residency in Las Vegas and a world tour.
She also became a fashion icon following her red carpet appearance in 2000 wearing a show-stopping green Versace dress that inspired the creation of Google images .
And those not familiar with her trajectory probably know of Lopez from her highly publicized string of romances and marriages.
So what has she done lately? She spent $20 million of her own money in a multimedia project that leans into her love life, her way.
In “This Is Me... Now,” Lopez takes her sometimes questionable and even eye-rolling relationships and shines on them a spotlight few artists at her level would dare to do, focusing mainly on her rekindled romance with now-husband actor Ben Affleck. The result? She got our attention — and got a lot of critics and fans talking about it.
Taking her string of romances — and owning it
Lopez has said her latest project is her " most honest " one yet, though fans and detractors say she held back on the subject of relationships and her tumultuous path to self-love.
The album sounds like a musical time capsule encompassing her 25-year music career and her lifelong search for her voice and artistic identity.
The film is not quite conceptual nor completely abstract, but something in between, mixing lighthearted and introspective moments to take us on her journey to ... yes, love.
In my view, what “This Is Me... Now” does effectively is showcase Lopez’s confidence as a triple-threat performer: singer, dancer and actor.
While her latest work reminded people like me of her unmatched talent, some say it was a missed opportunity for the 54-year-old to open up at a more personal level, distancing herself from her performer persona and showing off a more vulnerable, different side.
“The thing about Jennifer, and I think this is where a lot of the criticism is coming from, is that she has not been able to evolve,” Rico said. “You can’t get bigger than what she has done, and I think there’s a part of her that is like, ‘How do I top myself?’”
Yet the recent debate proves that Lopez remains relevant — and is still shifting and influencing American pop culture.
My life's soundtrack
Because “This Is Me... Now” serves as a bookend to her 2002 studio album “This Is Me… Then” — inspired by Lopez’s first engagement to Affleck and eventual breakup — it’s making many of us revisit our own memories of growing up with Lopez.
I can't tell you exactly when I first heard Lopez’s 1999 debut single, “If You Had My Love.” I just know I've always known it. The song catapulted Lopez’s music career following her breakout performance as the slain “Queen of Tejano Music” Selena Quintanilla in the 1997 film “Selena,” which turned her into a Hollywood movie star and helped cement Selena's musical legacy to a younger generation like me.
Lopez then established herself as a mega pop star with iconic music videos and hits like “Let’s Get Loud” and “Waiting for Tonight" from her debut album “On The 6.”
The first album I ever owned was the Backstreet Boys’ 1999 album “Millenium” — who didn't succumb to the boy band craze of the 1990s? But the one I cherished most was Lopez’s 2001 album “J.Lo.”
At 7, I used crayons to label my "J.Lo" album with my name in case I lost it while taking it everywhere in my portable CD player. I couldn't understand much of the lyrics because I only spoke Spanish, but I remember imitating Lopez while dancing to her pop tracks combined with Y2K era electronic sounds, R&B, hip-hop and Latin music influences.
The “J.Lo” album debuted at No. 1. That same week, Lopez starred in the romantic comedy “The Wedding Planner” — which topped the box office.
“When she has the No. 1 record, and the No. 1 movie at the exact same time for all general audiences, it’s nothing short of a miracle,” Rico said. In fact, the milestone made Lopez the first woman to simultaneously have a top film and album on opening week.
As a kid who loved performing and once aspired to be a dancer, seeing a fellow Puerto Rican succeed at this epic scale gave me confidence in my own identity from a very young age.
An icon from the Latin music 'explosion'
Lopez achieved superstar status alongside a few other artists of Hispanic descent who reached global success during the Latin music explosion of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
If there was a Mount Rushmore for the Latin explosion , the faces of Lopez, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony and Shakira would be carved in it — and maybe Christina Aguilera, who is Ecuadorian American, and Enrique Iglesias, a Hispanic from Spain, if we had more space.
Growing up at this time, I thought it was always this way. But as an adult, I realized it was mostly a specific period in pop culture.
Decades later, Lopez and Shakira reignited this history during their record-breaking 2020 Super Bowl Halftime performance , featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin , two big faces of the new Latin music boom dominated by reggaeton music.
"The Super Bowl was a very revealing Jennifer Lopez moment," Leila Cobo, Billboard’s chief content officer of Latin, told the Pop Pantheon podcast on August 2023. "It showed why she still matters.”
Lopez, a U.S.-born Latina, is inherently bicultural. Her innate code-switching abilities has helped her become a naturally shapeshifting entertainer, a unique quality that's kept her in the pop culture zeitgeist for nearly three decades.
“She can be 40. She can be 50. She can be 85. And she still can pull that off," Cobo said. "Not very many people can do that ... This is not simply someone who’s here for celebrity. I think she wants to transcend that."
J.Lo's — and my — full-circle moment
I no longer buy J.Lo CDs and mark them with a crayon. But listening to "This Is Me... Now" made me think about my own path to self-acceptance and yes, finding love along the way.
I still tease my mother for not taking me to Lopez’s 2001 concert in Puerto Rico , where I lived as a child, because I was too young. She promised she would take me the next time Lopez had a concert in my homeland, but that was the only show Lopez ever did there. For years, my consolation prize was endlessly rewatching the DVD version of the 2001 concert I got as a Three Kings Day gift.
But I got a second chance.
I was recently listening to the new album, where songs like “Can’t Get Enough” let me bask in the joy of being a newlywed, and where “Rebound” and “Broken Like Me” make me reflect on how far I’ve come, and I told my husband about how I still dreamed of seeing Lopez in concert.
He then surprised me with tickets to one of Lopez's shows in New York City, where I now live, to celebrate my 30th birthday this summer.
You could say the full-circle moment shows how Lopez marked my life then … and now.
That's a pretty remarkable journey for Jenny from the Block.

She “ain’t your mama” — or at least not your average one, anyway.
Jennifer Lopez, 54, took to Instagram on Sunday to show off her latest look, posting a Reel of herself strutting and spinning around in a beige, body-hugging, vegan leather dress from Naked Wardrobe ($138).
“Mom’s Night Out,” she captioned the clip, adding a song titled “Young Miko: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 58.” as the Reel’s soundtrack.
As she posed for the camera, Lopez, who is the mother of 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, made sure to show off every angle of the high-neck mididress, which featured a small slit at the back of the skirt.
At one point, she kicked out her leg for a close-up on her brown and gold slingback shoes, and could also be seen wearing a coordinating gold bracelet and large hoop earrings.

In another shot, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer grabbed one of her many pricey Hermès Birkin bags to complete her look.
“Where are you headed?” someone — perhaps husband Ben Affleck — could be heard asking Lopez in the background as the singer walked closer to the camera.
“Out,” she replied, before whipping her head back around, giving fans a better view of her voluminous, wavy blowout and bronzed makeup, which included neutral lip.
However, while Lopez clearly had no problem picking out the perfect ensemble for the occasion, she recently admitted she’s still unsure what she’s wearing to the 2024 Met Gala on May 6, where she’ll serve a co-chair alongside Zendaya, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth.

“I have a few different sketches, I’m still deciding,” she told Vogue in a video shared last Wednesday, three weeks before the big event, explaining that she’s just “one of those people who chooses at the last minute.”
Of course, the “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story” star is known for being able to pull off just about anything — even a pair of dirty jeans.
Earlier in April, she was spotted walking around New York City in purposely-stained denim bottoms from Acne Studios , styling the $620 pants with a cashmere turtleneck and navy overcoat.
