The Lumineers Announce 2023 Tour Dates

Today, The Lumineers announced that after a successful world tour in support of their album Brightside in 2022 and a bit of rest, they’re ready to start sharing their offering by gearing up for a U.S. tour set for midsummer. The two-time Grammy-award winners will perform over 18 evenings, with multi-night stints in several cities.

The Lumineers will start their tour at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Maine, on Aug.16. After a stay at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., on Aug. 16, the ensemble will head up to Catbird Festival in Bethel, on Aug. 19 and continue to perform at theatres and amphitheaters around the county. The alternative folk band will perform over several nights in Bonner, Mont., Bend, Ore., and Santa Barbra, Calif. they’ll close their tour with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Sept. 15.

James Bay will serve as the opening act throughout their travels. They’ll also kick off the September segment of their tour at Jazz Aspen Snowmass in Aspen, Colo., on Sept. 1.

The Lumineers Announce Encore ‘Brightside’ Tour

On the road again! After their successful Brightside World Tour last year, the group announced an encore set of shows for this fall.

The band — led by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites — is set to open their tour in Maine in mid-August before stopping at several amphitheaters and music festivals, including Aspen’s Jazz Aspen Snowmass festival. Accompanied by James Bay as an opener, they’ll conclude their tour at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on Sept. 15.

“We’re stoked to be back on the road, playing a run of shows in the US later this year with our good friend @jamesbaymusic,” the group wrote on Instagram.

The tour extension is in support of their 2022 album Brightside , led by singles “Where We Are,” “ A.M. Radio ,” and “Big Shot.”

Last year, they hit the road for 62 stops around the world. It was their first tour after the cancelation of shows from their III: The World Tour, due to Covid. The group made its way around Europe before hitting the road in the U.S. with CAAMP, Ashe, and Bay as openers.

Today,  The Lumineers  have announced an encore run of dates after last year’s massive BRIGHTSIDE World Tour. The shows, produced by Live Nation, will begin August 16 th  at Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, ME and end at the historic  Hollywood Bowl  in Los Angeles, CA on September 15 th . The run of shows features scenic outdoor amphitheater venues across the country.  James Bay  will be the opener for the tour. Additionally, the band will be headlining New Orleans Jazz Fest this spring, the Catbird Festival August 19 th  in Bethel, NY, and Jazz Aspen Snowmass September 1 st  in Aspen, CO. 

The two-time Grammy nominated Lumineers are touring in support of their fourth album, 2022’s  BRIGHTSIDE . The album was top ten in both the U.S. and Canada and the title track reached Number 1 on Billboard’s Alternative National Airplay and Adult Alternative Airplay charts—the sixth time the band has topped the latter chart in less than 10 years. Last year’s tour saw more than 750,000 tickets sold across five continents, including two sold out stadium shows at Coors Field in Denver and Wrigley Field in Chicago.

BRIGHTSIDE  was produced by longtime collaborator Simone Felice and produced, mixed, and engineered by David Baron over two sessions in winter and spring 2021 at Baron’s Sun Mountain Studios in bucolic Boiceville, NY, The nine-song collection sees The Lumineers’ co-founders/co-songwriters Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites performing virtually all of the instrumentation.

Entertainment | can’t get enough taylor swift thousands of fans line up bright and early to buy branded merchandise, no ticket needed to buy official taylor swift merchandise at levi’s stadium.

Taylor Swift doesn’t take the stage at Levi’s Stadium until Friday night, but you’d never know it from the thousand or so devoted Swifties lined up in the parking lot at the crack of dawn Thursday morning — just to buy official shirts and other merchandise emblazoned with their idol’s image or song lyrics — some of which you can only find in-person.

Some hardy fans started arriving after midnight for the sale held from merchandise trucks and tents shortly after 10 a.m. Julie Sandoval, 18, arrived at the stadium around 4 a.m., and by 4:30 had formed a line with about 20 other people.

Sandoval, who came down from Burlingame with a few friends, said she had been waiting for months for the concert and the accompanying merchandise. She ended up getting a beige Taylor Swift “Eras Tour” shirt and two of the coveted blue crewnecks, one for her and one for a friend.

Athena Fabiola, 29, drove two hours to get to Levi’s Stadium — and she came prepared. The Watsonville resident brought water bottles and snacks for those standing in line.

“I definitely believe in karma,” Fabiola said. “Random acts of kindness go a long way.” Fabiola was looking to get a few shirts, but wasn’t gunning for any specific item. “Just anything I can get my hands on.”

Paige Arnett, 24, and Emily Crowder, 26, came all the way down from Sacramento and both got in line for the merch truck at 10:48 a.m.

“Oh, you’re far!” Redwood City resident Tiffany Quinton said, overhearing the two Sacramento Swifties. Like other Swifties, Arnett and Crowder had one item that they for sure knew they wanted to get: the blue crewneck —  which had sold out within a few hours. They were also considering the quarter zip, but didn’t seem as sure. When asked about why the blue crewneck was so popular, the fans speculated that it was a combination of the crewneck not being available online and the sweatshirt’s blue-gray vintage look.

Quinton, who was just ahead of Arnett and Crowder, wasn’t specifically determined to score a crewneck like others. But she was doing her friends a favor by standing in line to get items both for them and herself.

“They were originally going to hire a TaskRabbit to do it and I was like, ‘Guys, I’ll just do it,'” she said.

Although stadium officials didn’t seem to mind Swifties camping out in the parking lot ahead of the merchandise sale Thursday, they have said that tailgating would not be allowed at Levi’s during the concerts Friday and Saturday, and warned that fans without a ticket would not get entry to the lots.

Jimmy Pham, 24, who was at the sale Thursday and doesn’t have a concert ticket, said he might head over to Great America and try to catch a glimpse of the concert from Star Tower.

Taylor Swift's music makes time and money spent all worth it, Swifties say

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) -- Are you ready for it? For the next two days, Taylor Swift is the Honorary Mayor of Santa Clara, or Swiftie Clara, and she's taking the stage Friday for her concert series at Levi's Stadium.

However, just outside and overnight, San Jose resident Jocelyn Jimenez waiting to buy merch said, "We got here at 11, but we thought it was going to open at 10."

To clarify, Jimenez and Zaira Mendoza got to the lot at 11 p.m. last night. Doors to the Official Merchandise truck are not scheduled to open until 2 p.m. on Friday.

"Realistically, when we got here, I thought there's going to be a whole bunch of people, we'll be like 100th in line," Jimenez told ABC7 News. "But then we got here and it was pitch black and there was nobody."

They were the first of hundreds of Swifties who, by mid-morning, were seated in a line that snaked through Green Lot 1 at Levi's Stadium.

"I thought it was opening at 10 a.m., I got here at 6:30 a.m.," Jan Ellard explained. "I was supposed to be here around 7 a.m., but I just got on the train early and I'm taking one for the team - for my daughter who's working today."

She continued, "Now I'm gonna be here all day."

Ellard's shopping list includes crewnecks, sweatshirts, and a bag. She's grabbing these items before she and her daughter attend Saturday night's concert.

Factoring in Swift tickets and the swag, she said it's all a worthwhile investment.

"Easily $1,000, but our tickets can sell for much more than that," she said.

Vivid Seats shows the lowest-priced tickets at $600+.

According to Levi's Stadium, parking lots and the box office open at 2 p.m., but strictly for questions and customer service. No sales. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. The show starts at 6:30 p.m.

"Oh yeah, we have tickets for the show because we're like, manifesting it," Mendoza said. "We'll get tickets, even if it's last minute, yes."

While she manifests, there's no denying the money being made.

Swift herself has been described as a "stimulus package" to all the cities she's come to visit.

However, more than the economic boost, fans say for them, it's the music making the time and money spent all worth it.

Duran Duran has announced a 26-date North American arena tour for 2023, with both Bastille and Nile Rodgers & CHIC joining them as special guests across the entire run. Produced by Live Nation , THE FUTURE PAST TOUR begins on May 28 in San Jose , CA and will make stops across Seattle , Portland , Salt Lake City , Austin , New Orleans , Dallas , Nashville , Atlanta , and Tampa  before concluding the first leg in Florida on June 18 . The tour will pick up again on August 24 in Sacramento, CA , with dates in Chicago , Boston , Philadelphia , Washington, D.C , Detroit , and Toronto amongst many more. Dates in NYC and LA will be announced soon.

2022 served as something of a landmark year for Duran Duran , having just been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame , a career peak that followed a summer live season of epic proportions - headlining London’s Hyde Park in front of 60,000 people, performing at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace and closing the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in their home town of Birmingham, not to mention a headline tour across North America which included sold out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden and three nights at the Hollywood Bowl.  The cinematic release of their new docu-concert film, ‘A Hollywood High’ followed, before the band capped off the year with a spectacular performance in Times Square on New Year’s Eve, counting fans down into 2023 in front of a live audience of over 1 million people on the streets of Manhattan.  All this after the huge success of new studio album FUTURE PAST , hailed as Duran Duran at their best by critics and fans alike, four decades into their rich and storied career.

Enlisting the help of some of the most exciting names of the last 50 years, with ‘ FUTURE PAST, ’ Duran Duran have delivered another incredible genre-spanning piece of work that once again sets them apart from the pack. Working alongside DJ / producer Erol Alkan and pioneering Italian composer / producer Giorgio Moroder , who added his magic to create two instant future classics (‘ BEAUTIFUL LIES ,’ and ‘ TONIGHT UNITED ’ ), as well as some of the most unexpected and inspiring names in pop – including Swedish hitmaker, Tove Lo on ‘ GIVE IT ALL UP ,’ ‘Queen of Drill’ Ivorian Doll on ‘ HAMMERHEAD ’ and Japan’s CHAI on ‘ MORE JOY! ’.  In addition, Blur’s Graham Coxon co-wrote and lends his guitar to several tracks on the record and David Bowie’s former pianist Mike Garson adds an exquisite sonic layer to album closer ‘ FALLING’ .
