Madonna

Madonna ’s hotly anticipated The Celebration Tour is finally here! The 78-date tour kicked off Saturday (Oct. 14) in London at the O2 Arena, the first of six sold-out shows.

The Queen of Pop’s 13th tour encompasses four decades of hits, iconic costumes, era-defining music videos and more. Not only did the set design take a cue from the three-layered wedding cake look of her 1984 Video Music Awards performance – one widely cited as the TV moment that catapulted her into the cultural stratosphere as a pop talent and provocateur – but the merchandise table featured numerous items recreating merch items from Madonna’s past tours.

Ahead of the show’s launch, fans ( including us ) were furiously speculating as to what the setlist would entail. How many of her Billboard chart hits – 12 No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 and 50 No. 1s on the Dance Club Songs chart – would appear? And would they appear in full, or in part? Would she treat fans to any deep cuts? Would we hear any songs that have never – or rarely – been performed on stage?

Well, with the first show of the Celebration Tour in the books, we finally have a sense of what to expect on this tour as it begins its 15-country run. From early hits to unexpected surprises to recent highlights of a career that’s still going strong, these are the songs that Madonna sang on the opening night of her tour. Note: Madonna did play a lot of snippets of other songs during interstitial segments — we’re talking about the ones she sang live on stage here.

Check out the setlist for Madonna’s The Celebration Tour below, based on the first night of her six dates at London’s O2 Arena.

"Nothing Really Matters"

"everybody", "into the hollywood groove", "burning up", "open your heart", "live to tell", "like a prayer"/"unholy”/"act of contrition" (mashup), "justify my love"/"fever" (medley), "hung up on tokischa"/"hung up" (medley), "human nature", "crazy for you", "die another day", "don’t tell me", "mother and father", "little star" (a cappella) , "i will survive" (cover)  , "la isla bonita", "don't cry for me argentina", "bedtime story", "ray of light", "bitch i’m madonna"/"give me all your luvin'" (medley) , "celebration"/"music" (medley).

Set List: Madonna’s Celebration Tour

On October 14, Madonna launched her Celebration Tour at London's O2 arena and offered fans a new way of connecting with her incredible discography. Rather than supporting a specific release, this tour marks the first time she's hitting the road to showcase hits from across her decades-spanning, culture-shaping catalog ("Like a Prayer," "Ray of Light," and "Vogue" are just a few). The 4,400-square-foot stage was designed to reflect various neighborhoods across New York City, and her dozens of dazzling costume changes wink at iconic looks from her past. The tour feels especially triumphant given that the iconic artist, now 65, had to postpone it for several months to navigate a sudden hospitalization. She rebounded—as Madonna does—and brought five of her children onto the stage to celebrate alongside her on opening night. This set list reflects that evening's run of show.

Madonna Celebration Tour: See the setlist for her iconic career-spanning show

madonna celebration tour track list

The Celebration Tour is not just a commemoration of Madonna’s 40 years of pop superstardom , but a reminder that no matter how many follow in her path, she remains the queen.

Her 79-show tour – postponed from a summer run after she battled a serious bacterial infection – finds Madonna performing more than two dozen hits for more than two hours. Many songs, including “Justify My Love,” “Everybody” and “Live To Tell,” haven’t been played regularly in decades, but she’s dusted them off for this seven-month run.

Madonna, 65, launched the North American leg of the tour with a three-night stand at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center starting Dec. 13. She and her 24 onstage performers will hit cities including Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Phoenix and Houston through an April 26 finale in Mexico City.

Here is a rundown of the songs you can expect to hear on The Celebration Tour.

A Dream Setlist for Madonna’s ‘Celebration Tour,’ From Staple Songs to Slept-On Hits

Madonna

When Madonna revealed dates for “Madonna: The Celebration Tour,” a career-spanning live extravaganza, the speculation surrounding the setlist led the conversation. While the Queen of Pop is tightlipped about specifics, a couple of tidbits can be gleaned from the star-studded tour announcement.

In a video that pays tribute to her 1990 documentary “Truth or Dare,” the social media-savvy singer plays the titular game with superstars ranging from Jack Black to Lil Wayne. Eventually, Amy Schumer dares Madonna to embark on a world tour and perform her “greatest motherfuckin’ hits.”

Popular on Variety

“Frozen” reached a whole new generation of fans via the viral Sickick remix, while “Hung Up” got a reggaeton overhaul courtesy of Dominican rapper Tokischa. And then there’s the Saucy Santana-assisted “ Material Gworrllllllll! ” — a reimagining of Madonna’s 1985 smash that debuted at last year’s New York City Pride. Other leading contenders to earn a spot on the setlist include mega-hits “Crazy for You,” “Live to Tell,” “Justify My Love” and “Ray of Light.”

Madonna loves to throw in a couple of surprises and, if she’s really looking to “explore as many songs as possible,” it might be time to give “American Life” standout “Love Profusion” a spin or really cause a stir by digging even deeper into her catalog for an unperformed fan favorite like “Sanctuary” from “Erotica” or beloved “Like a Prayer” lullaby “Dear Jessie.” Hell, I’d even take “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me” soundtrack banger “Beautiful Stranger.”

As for more recent material, anything goes. “MDNA” singles “Give Me All Your Luvin’” and “Girl Gone Wild” are fairly safe bets, while “Rebel Heart” highlights “Living For Love” and “Ghosttown” have to be on the shortlist. Madonna is understandably proud of “Madame X,” so “Medellín,” “Crave” or “God Control” aren’t completely out of the question. I’d also love to see the live debut of the recently unearthed “Back That Up to the Beat” as well as the pop icon’s own riff on Beyoncé’s “ Break My Soul (The Queens Remix) ,” which interpolates “Vogue.”

It’s worth noting that “Madonna: The Celebration Tour” promises to “pay respect to the city of New York, where her career in music began.” In that case, it’s only fitting that “Everybody,” born of the Big Apple’s boisterous ‘80s club scene, kicks off the show.

Finding the right track for the final encore is a harder proposition. Encapsulating the joy and impact of 40 years of hits is too heavy a weight for any one song to bear. Perhaps, it would be wise to close the show with “Dress You Up.” After all, there’s a nice symmetry to ending with the song that opened Madonna’s very first tour — 1985’s “The Virgin Tour.”

A Dream Setlist for Madonna’s “The Celebration Tour”

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

The post A Dream Setlist for Madonna ’s “The Celebration Tour” appeared first on Consequence .

Madonna has never been a huge fan of nostalgia, particularly where her career and music are concerned. That’s certainly not a bad thing — in fact, her desire to push forward and keep breaking boundaries (sonic and otherwise) has kept her in the public eye for forty years.

In recent years, Madonna’s tours have also been focused heavily on the present day, specifically whatever her latest record is at the time. But on Tuesday (January 17th), Madonna announced a career-spanning run dubbed “The Celebration Tour,” subtitled “Featuring Four Decades Of Greatest Hits.”

(To get tix, a Live Nation pre-sale will take place starting Friday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m. local time — use access code SOUND — prior to the public on-sale beginning Friday, January 20th via  Ticketmaster . Tickets will also be available via StubHub .)

The big question, of course, is what will she play? Although she’s continued to perform some of her most iconic songs — including “Vogue,” “Like a Prayer” “Holiday,” “La Isla Bonita,” and “Music” — she has a huge catalog of hits that haven’t been in setlists recently.

Here are the Madonna songs — a mix of major hits and fan-favorites — that we’d like to see her dust off and perform. You can also scroll to the end for a playlist of every track.

Editor’s Note:  Head here  for more details on how to buy tickets to Madonna’s “The Celebration Tour.”

“Burning Up” / “Everybody” ( Madonna , 1983)

Madonna played music around New York City before going solo, but became capital-M Madonna with the release of her first two singles, the spunky “Burning Up” and disco-pop jam “Everybody.” Chances are good both tunes will make the cut of her anniversary tour; after all, Madonna’s career took off because of the dancefloor. However, she hasn’t had “Everybody” in regular live rotation since the 1990s, so hearing that song again especially would be a treat.

“Who’s That Girl” / “Causing a Commotion” ( Who’s That Girl soundtrack, 1987)

Although Madonna’s star turn in 1987’s Who’s That Girl didn’t help the movie’s commercial fortunes, the music she contributed to the film’s soundtrack was a different story. The soaring title track was a top 10 hit in both the US and UK, while the squiggly electro-pop jam “Causing a Commotion” is one of her most underrated (and forgotten) big hits, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Dear Jessie” ( Like a Prayer , 1989)

“Dear Jessie” was released as a single but, incredibly enough, Madonna has never performed the song live. That’s perhaps due to its musical complexity: It’s a delicate song with strings, synths and a waltzing tempo that nods to orchestral pop. But while “Dear Jessie” was never a hit, it’s one of the highlights from Like a Prayer — and a precursor to her more sophisticated ‘90s work.

“Rescue Me” ( The Immaculate Collection , 1990)

Another rarity — some of the lyrics appeared during her “Madame X Tour” shows, but otherwise the song has never been played live — “Rescue Me” embodies the creativity driving her many collaborations with noted remixer/producer Shep Pettibone. Sleek grooves and gospel-influenced vocals collide with Pettibone’s trademark rhythmic stabs; the result is pure dancefloor bliss.

“Rain” (Erotica, 1992) / “Take a Bow” ( Bedtime Stories , 1994)

As the ‘80s ended, Madonna embraced changing musical trends much better than many of her peers. Accordingly, you can’t tell the story of her career fully without covering the massive success she had with ballads in the ‘90s. The swooning, gorgeous “Rain” is a highlight of the polarizing Erotica — and presages the mellower grooves she embraced at the end of the decade — while the Babyface collaboration “Take a Bow” remains one of Madonna’s most moving, vulnerable tunes. (Honorable mentions for potential live airings go to a pair of soundtrack hits, the meditative “I’ll Remember” and nostalgic “This Used to Be My Playground.”)

“Beautiful Stranger” ( Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me soundtrack, 1999)

Madonna’s songwriting and production collaborations with William Orbit on 1998’s Ray of Light pushed her music in more cosmic directions. This was also evident on the soundtrack hit “Beautiful Stranger,” a bubbly synth-pop song which captured the psychedelic vibe of Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.

“The Power of Good-Bye” ( Ray of Light , 1998) / “Gone” ( Music , 2000)

As Y2K approached, Madonna dug deep within herself and released more personal songs than she had done before. The introspection suited her well: The glacial, trip-hop-kissed electro of “The Power of Good-Bye” and the stripped-down, acoustic “Gone” boasted emotional depth that was immensely moving.

“Jump” ( Confessions on a Dance Floor , 2005)

Madonna could basically play anything off the electro-disco explosion Confessions on a Dance Floor and have it sound great. While odds are good the ABBA-sampling “Hung Up” will make any hits setlist — it topped the charts globally in multiple countries — the retro ‘80s jam “Jump” is also begging to be presented live.

“4 Minutes” ( Hard Candy , 2008)

Madonna’s collaborations in the last 15 years or so have been hit or miss, so it might be tempting to wish for a setlist that eschewed more recent albums in favor of her older songs. But Madonna’s work since the mid-2000s has its moments — especially her Timberland/Justin Timberlake collaboration “4 Minutes,” which sounds as vibrant and playful as it did upon release.

“Joan of Arc” / “Ghosttown” ( Rebel Heart , 2015)

The Rebel Heart era is one of Madonna’s most understated (if misunderstood) eras — a time when she paired the inward-looking music of the late ‘90s with modern pop production. As a result, she came out swinging with brooding songs like “Ghosttown” and the heart-wrenching, deeply personal “Joan of Arc.”

“Vogue,” “Like a Prayer” “Holiday,” “La Isla Bonita,” “Music”… and all the rest

It wouldn’t be a Madonna show without her most iconic tracks, and we’re expecting these to be sprinkled throughout the set, whether they appear as pretaped intro/outros, instrumental interludes or remixes.

“On the day before our 80th show of the Celebration Tour I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage,” Madonna wrote in the caption of the post, which included a series of photos.

“Rehearsals began over a year ago with almost a 2 month break waiting for me to recover from a near death experience,” she continued. “They never stopped practicing… they never stopped cheering me on and supporting me.”

“There enthusiasm kept me Going!!!” she added. “They were also going to school and rehearsing every night. !! I am so very proud of them.”

Madonna ended her sweet message by sharing what she thinks her children have taken away from the experience of taking the stage with her.

“I think what my children learned the most this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you [want] to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them,” she said. “And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears. Nor will I.”

Madonna Talks Life on Tour With Her Kids: “Nothing Brings Me More Happiness”

Madonna and three children.

Madonna has been clear from the beginning that The Celebration Tour is no mere “greatest hits” circuit. It’s more like an artist’s MoMA retrospective blown up into an arena tour showcasing her singular contributions to the culture. It’s also the Queen of Pop’s most deeply personal tour yet, paying tribute to her influences, mentors, parents, and the friends and collaborators she’s lost. Nowhere is that personal touch more apparent than the inclusion of four of her children in the show. Across 78 performances so far, Madonna has worked double-duty as mom with son David and daughters Mercy, Stella, and Estere along for the ride—each one getting their own moment on stage. Mercy accompanies her mother on piano during “Bad Girl,” while David duets with his mom on “Mother and Father” (which, apparently, required the young musician to work up a bit of confidence to do). Twins Stella and Estere meanwhile, show off their dance skills during “Don’t Tell Me” and a segment dedicated to ballroom.

Ahead of her final arena dates in Mexico and a historic (potentially record-breaking) free show in Rio de Janeiro, Madonna sat down to answer questions over e-mail about life on the road with her children.

Rocco performed on stage during MDNA , and Lola worked in the wardrobe department on that same tour. Your children always seem to be involved in some capacity with your work. How does that feel as a mother?

I have always been blessed with children who are interested in music, dance, and art. Starting from the top with Lola , who was not only an incredible ballet dancer and and a rhythmic gymnast, switching to musical theater and contemporary dance. Now she is a unique singer and song writer in her own right. When I go on tour, nothing brings me more happiness to know, we are all working on the same show creating the magic together. It would be boring if they were just traveling from hotel to hotel, and occasionally coming to watch the show.  Of course, I am also their mother so sometimes we get on each other’s nerves. We are a family of artists but are also a family and that’s what happens.

It seems like your children have been honing their talents for years. How important is it for you as a mother to make sure they take their art seriously?

Because The Celebration Tour is a retrospective of my life, I thought it made perfect sense to include all of my children still living with me in the show. As they all dance, and play musical instruments, and have been doing so for years.  David has played guitar since he was a child.  Mercy has played piano since she was eight and has been classically trained most of her life. Eventually, when I adopted the twins, they started to play piano and dance as well.  There is always an endless parade of music and dance teachers coming and going in our house. And then we add to that Djing as Estere showed a keen interest in learning. She started taking DJ lessons and took it very seriously.

Madonna with Mercy

Each of the children has their own moment in the show. Mercy James playing piano during “Bad Girl” was a highlight. Any back story on how that all came together?

I saw a strange poetic juxtaposition of hedonism, erotic exploration emerging into the light of Mercy, sitting stoically at her grand piano playing Chopin as she beckoned me towards her, making me think about the choices I have made in my life.  Singing “Bad Girl” was kind of a confession, not an apology, and I felt we had an unspoken understanding of what was happening.

Stella performs in “Don’t Tell Me,” which is a big number during the show. How was she with learning the choreography?

Stella, who I would say is my shyest child, comes alive on stage, and I love having her as my little cowgirl. But she happens to be an incredible fine artist, and I’m hoping that she follows in the footsteps of Rocco who after being a B-boy, skater, and graffiti artist has really come into his own as an incredible painter.

David during the show’s finale.

David singing a verse during “Mother and Father” was fantastic. Has he expressed any interest in following in your footsteps with a musical career? He had originally only played guitar at the beginning of the tour. Did it take some convincing to get him to sing?

“Mother and Father” is one of my favorite moments in the show because it gave me a chance to not only honor my mother and her memory but also to honor David’s mother and her memory. He has always wanted to sing and play guitar.  He loves being on stage. This is nothing new. I love that we both get to sing to our mothers. Much of the show is about motherhood, family, and the importance of that in my artistic life.

Estere

Estere

Estere, backstage in a “Britney Spears” t-shirt.

How did Estere get so into ballroom? Does she have any vogue mentors (aside from you)?

While Estere was learning how to DJ she became interested in ballroom competitions and just by luck, one of my choreographer’s assistants, Ivy Mugler, has her own ballroom house called House of Mugler.  She started taking Estere aside during rehearsals in another room, and within a couple of weeks she was doing death drops and spins and surprising us with her ability.  So, of course we had to turn that section of the show into Estere’s Ball.

Because this tour is a celebration of your entire career, did you kids learn or realize anything new about you?

I think what my children learned the most in this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them.  And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears.

The tour just wrapped up its U.S. dates. With five shows in Mexico City coming up and the huge free concert in Rio, what’s going through your mind right now?

This show was created for an indoor arena. Transforming and adapting it to perform outdoors on the beach, with no roof in Rio is going to be quite an undertaking and full of surprises. God willing, we will pull it off, and it will be an experience they will never forget.

Madonna with kids David, Mercy, Estere and Stella

Madonna is proud of her children for working hard as performers in her ongoing Celebration Tour.

“I think what my children learned the most in this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them,” the pop superstar, 65, said in an interview with W magazine published Wednesday.

“And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears.”

As Madonna prepared to hit the road for the concert series — a spectacle that honors her four decades in the spotlight — she tapped her four youngest kids, David, 18, Mercy, also 18, plus 11-year-old twins Stella and Estere, to showcase their unique talents on stage.

Madonna

“Because the Celebration Tour is a retrospective of my life, I thought it made perfect sense to include all of my children still living with me in the show; they all dance and play musical instruments, and have been doing so for years,” the “Ray of Light” singer told the publication.

“David has played guitar since he was a child. Mercy has played piano since she was 8 and she’s been classically trained most of her life. Eventually, when I adopted the twins, they started to play piano and dance as well.”

Madonna noted that there is “always an endless parade of dancing and [performing arts] teachers coming and going in our house,” so it only made sense to give her children a bigger platform to shine on the Celebration Tour.

A show highlight for the Grammy winner is when daughter Mercy accompanies her on piano during a powerful rendition of her 1993 ballad “Bad Girl.”

“I saw a strange, poetic juxtaposition of hedonism and exploration emerging into the light of Mercy, sitting stoically at her grand piano playing Chopin as she beckoned me towards her, making me think about the choices I have made in my life,” Madonna said, explaining how that specific moment came to be.

“Singing ‘Bad Girl’ was kind of my confession to her, and I felt we had an unspoken understanding of what was happening.”

Meanwhile, David duets with his mom on “Mother and Father” from her 2003 album, “American Life.”

“‘Mother and Father’ is one of my favorite moments in the show because it gave me a chance to not only honor my mother and her memory but also to honor David’s mother and her memory,” she said of the young creative, whom she adopted from Malawi in 2006.

Madonna and son David

“He has always wanted to sing and play guitar. He loves being on stage — this is nothing new. Much of the show is about motherhood, family, and the importance of that in my artistic life.”

As for Stella and Estere, the girls dance their hearts out when Madonna sings her 2000 smash “Don’t Tell Me,” and also during a section in the show that pays homage to ballroom and the art of vogueing.

“While Estere was learning how to DJ, she became interested in ballroom competitions. Just by luck, one of my choreographer’s assistants, Ivy Mugler, has her own ballroom house called House of Mugler,” she says of how the two became interested in that sect of dance.

Madonna and others onstage

“She started taking Estere aside during rehearsals to another room—and within a couple of weeks she was doing death drops and spins and surprising us with her ability. So, of course we had to turn that section of the show into Estere’s Ball.”

Madonna is also mom to Lourdes “Lola” Leon, 27 — whom she shares with ex Carlos Leon — and Rocco Ritchie, 23 — whom she shares with ex-husband Guy Ritchie. Her eldest have also participated in her tours, including 2012’s MDNA Tour, for which Lourdes worked in the wardrobe department while Rocco performed on stage.

“I have always been blessed with children who are interested in music, dance and art. Starting from the top with Lola, who was not only an incredible ballet dancer and a rhythmic gymnast, she also switches to musical theater and contemporary dance,” she said.

Madonna with her kids

The eternal hitmaker acknowledged that “nothing brings [her] more happiness” than collaborating with her kids.

“It would be boring if they were just traveling from hotel to hotel, and occasionally coming to watch the show,” she elaborated. “Of course, I am their mother so sometimes we get on each other’s nerves. We are a family of artists but we are also a family, and that’s what happens.”

The Celebration Tour’s next stop is Friday in Mexico City, followed by a final — and free — show in Rio de Janeiro on May 4.

Madonna finally speaks out on ‘near-death’ experience after being in induced coma

Madonna finally speaks out on ‘near-death’ experience after being in induced coma

The pop icon took to instagram to share the emotional post.

Rhiannon Ingle

Madonna has spoken out on her 'near-death' experience after being put in an induced coma.

The 65-year-old 'Holiday' singer , who has been treating fans to her critically-acclaimed Celebration Tour , left people terrified last June after her management team revealed she'd been admitted to the intensive care unit following a serious bacterial infection .

Fears over the singer's health only intensified after reports emerged that Madonna had been induced into a coma , after she was said to have been found unresponsive in her New York City apartment.

Madonna was able to get back to her home in the Big Apple about a week later, and a few days after that, she shared a statement to thank those who had sent her 'positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement'.

She was scheduled to kick off her 40th anniversary Celebration Tour , all about 'highlighting her unmatched catalog of music from the past 40-plus years', last July but had to postpone it to start in October instead.

Since then, the pop icon has opened up about the traumatic ordeal and shared a sweet message to her entourage.

She took to Instagram yesterday (25 April) to share an update with her 19.3 million followers.

Madonna spoke out about her 'near-death experience' last summer. (Instagram/@madonna)

She posted a series of sweet snaps of herself and her team including musicians and dancers who see referred to as her ' children '.

Madonna captioned the photo dump: "On the day before our 80th show of the Celebration Tour I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage."

She explained that rehearsals began 'over a year ago' with almost a two-month break waiting for the singer to 'recover from a near-death experience'.

"They never stopped practicing… they never stopped cheering me on and supporting me," Madonna continued. "Their enthusiasm kept me Going!!!

"They were also going to school and rehearsing every night. !! . am so very proud of all of them."

The 65-year-old pop icon thanked her entourage in a heartfelt post. (Instagram/@madonna)

The Grammy award-winning hit-maker continued: "I think what my children learned the most this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them.

"And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears. Nor will I."

She aptly signed off the heartfelt post adding: "It’s a CELEBRATION!"

Earlier this year, Madonna delved into further detail about her time spent in a coma , even going as far as revealing what her first word was when she awoke.

"This show every night is not really so hard on me physically. It’s hard on me emotionally because I’m really telling you the story of my life," she gushed.

"My heart is on my sleeve. I’ve fallen off a lot of horses and broken a lot of bones… but nothing can stop me."

After her assistant revealed that her first word was 'No!', Madonna went on: "I’m pretty sure that was God saying to me, 'Do you want to come? Want to come up with me?'"

Madonna is wrapping up her current concert tour over the next few days with a trilogy of shows in Mexico City. Prices have been climbing over recent days, so you'll have to be sharp if you want to buy Madonna tickets for these dates while you can for the The Celebration Tour.

Before she takes her final bow of the Celebration Tour concert series in April 2024, Madonna will have performed 52 shows across 27 cities in the US, Canada, and Mexico. While many dates earlier in the tour were available for under $100, these final dates will cost you at least $245 at the time of writing. Still, it's a few grand cheaper than the Swifties have been paying this year.

  • More events: Olivia Rodrigo tickets | Taylor Swift tickets | Adele tickets | Rolling Stones tickets

With the concert series being a retrospective celebration of her iconic career, The Celebration Tour's setlist unsurprisingly includes plenty of Madonna's timeless hits. Songs like "Like a Prayer," "Vogue," "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," and "Like a Virgin" have been performed across various dates on her tour.

We've got you covered if you're still looking for tickets to Madonna's Celebration Tour. Here's our breakdown of Madonna's remaining 2024 tour schedule, purchasing details, and original and resale ticket prices. You can also browse the available tickets for sale on StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

All concert times are listed in local time zones.

How to buy tickets for Madonna's 2024 concert tour

Madonna tickets have been on sale for a while now, so all original ones via Ticketmaster are long gone.

However, Madonna tickets are still available through verified resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats .

How much do Madonna tickets cost?

The price for standard original tickets to Madonna's 2024 tour varies depending on date, location, and demand. For example, concert dates in major cities like New York City tend to be more expensive.

Standard original tickets still available on Ticketmaster a few weeks ago  were comparable to prices on verified resale platforms. However, the remaining original tickets have all been snapped up though, so resale vendors are your only hope now.

The Celebration Tour originally had VIP tickets available for premium prices. Madonna's 2024 concert series had The Immaculate VIP Package, Iconic VIP Package), You Can Dance Premium Ticket Package, and Where's The Party Premium Ticket Package. The prices for original tickets for each package on Ticketmaster started at $1,750, $895, $545, and $475, respectively.

Who is opening for Madonna's tour?

Madonna has not announced any additional opening acts for her 2024 concert dates. However, the artist is joined by Bob the Drag Queen, a special guest in each of her shows, who helps introduce the concert and interacts with Madonna as the emcee.

Madonna's 2024 tour began with the international leg in Europe, so the only remaining concerts in The Celebration Tour outside the United States are in Mexico.

In April, she'll have five performances in Mexico City, where she'll take her final bow of The Celebration Tour on April 26.

Madonna Pays Tribute to Her Kids as She Shares Behind-the-Scenes Photos with Them from Her Celebration Tour

The singer is mom to six kids — Lourdes, Rocco, David, Mercy, Stella and Estere

Madonna is taking a minute to honor her kids.

On Thursday, April 25, the singer, 65, shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram of herself and her kids from the past few months after they joined her on stage during her Celebration Tour. In the first photo, Madonna is surrounded by three of her six kids — son David, 18 and twins Estere and Stella, 11 — as they engulf her in a group hug.

Other photos show David and Madonna playing guitar together, daughter Mercy, 18, getting a kiss on the cheek from one of her sisters, as well as scenes of all of them on stage with their mother.

"On the day before our 80th show of the Celebration Tour I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage," the proud mom began in her caption.

"Rehearsals began over a year ago with almost a 2 month break waiting for me recover from a near death experience. They never stopped practicing… they never stopped cheering me on and supporting me," she continued. "There [sic] enthusiasm kept me Going!!!"

"They were also going to school and rehearsing every night. !! . am so very proud of all of them. I think what my children learned the most this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you who to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them."

"And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears. Nor will I. ♥️ It’s a CELEBRATION," Madonna ended her caption.

In an interview with  W. Magazine earlier this week, the "Material Girl" singer spoke about her Celebration Tour , which concludes in the coming weeks with a few stops in South America.

"When I go on tour, nothing brings me more happiness than to know we are all working on the same show, creating the magic together," the proud mom said. "It would be boring if they were just traveling from hotel to hotel, and occasionally coming to watch the show."

"Of course, I am their mother so sometimes we get on each other's nerves. We are a family of artists but we are also a family, and that's what happens."

Madonna is mom to six kids — Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, David, Mercy, and twins Stella and Estere. Her son David and daughters Mercy, Stella and Estere joined her on stage for this tour.

Rolling Stones members Ronnie Wood (L), Mick Jagger and Keith Richards rock out in concert.

The Rolling Stones have decided who will “Start Them Up” on tour this year.

However, unlike most tours, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are mixing things up and bringing different opening acts to each city they’re hitting on the spring and summer  ‘The Stones Tour ’24 Hackney Diamonds.’

Just a few of the big names joining them include Gary Clark Jr. ( April 28 in Houston ), Joe Bonamassa ( May 15 in Seattle ), Tyler Childers ( June 3 in Orlando ), KALEO ( June 11 in Philadelphia ) and Lainey Wilson ( June 30 in Chicago ).

As for their MetLife Stadium gigs, pop-soul outfit Lawrence is slated to kick things off at their Sunday, May 26 concert ; no opener has been announced for the Thursday, May 23 show .

And if you’ve been on the fence about catching Mick, Keith and Ronnie live because you fear exorbitant ticket prices, we’re happy to report that some shows have cheaper seats available than one might imagine.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we found on tickets was just $21 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Yes, you read that right. Just $21. We couldn’t believe it either.

Other nights have seats starting anywhere from $44 to $109 before fees (excluding festival dates).

Curious how much tickets cost and who will be opening for the Stones at the show nearest you this year?

While we can’t guarantee we’ll give you what you want, we promise you’ll get what you need.

Our team has all the details you’re looking for and more about the Rolling Stones’ 2024 ‘Hackney Diamonds Tour’ below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Rolling Stones tour schedule 2024

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues, opening acts, and links to the cheapest tickets available can be found below.

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

New Orleans Jazz Festival 2024

The musically diverse New Orleans Jazz Festival — they don’t do just jazz, contrary to popular belief — returns to the Big Easy on April 25-28 and May 2-5 next year.

At the two-weekend fest, Mick and co. will be joined by fellow Rock Hall of Famers Neil Young , Earth Wind and Fire , Heart , The Beach Boys , and Foo Fighters .

The Rolling Stones set list

This 16-concert run will be the group’s first official North American trek since 2019’s ‘No Filter Tour,’ which concluded two years later due to COVID-related postponements.

Here’s what the band played at their last run, courtesy of  Set List FM .

01.) “Street Fighting Man” 02.) “Let’s Spend the Night Together” 03.) “19th Nervous Breakdown” 04.) “Tumbling Dice” 05.) “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” 06.) “Living in a Ghost Town” 07.) “Start Me Up” 08.) “Honky Tonk Women” 09.) “Connection” 10.) “Slipping Away” 11.) “Miss You” 12.) “Midnight Rambler” 13.) “Paint It Black” 14.) “Sympathy for the Devil” 15.) “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”

16.) “Gimme Shelter”

17.) “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”

Most recently, the band surprised New Yorkers when they performed a set at  Racket  in the Meatpacking District with Lady Gaga.

You can find their seven-song set list from the October 2023 one-off show  here .

The Rolling Stones new music

On Oct. 20, the Stones released their 26th American studio album,  “Hackney Diamonds,”  featuring special guests Paul McCartney, Elton John, Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder.

Comprised of 12 hard-rocking tracks that wouldn’t be out of place alongside their singalong stadium anthems of yore, “Diamonds” shows that Mick, Keith, and Ronnie still have their sticky fingers on rock and roll’s pulse.

“We wouldn’t have put this album out if we didn’t really like it,” Jagger, 80, told Jimmy Fallon. “We must say that we are quite pleased with it. We’re not big-headed but we hope you like it.”

If you’re looking to sample the record, we suggest starting with the fierce lead track “Angry” and the wistful ballad “Dreamy Skies.”

Another Late-Start Lawsuit? ‘Madonna and Live Nation Are a Consumer’s Worst Nightmare,’ New Class-Action Claims

fans sue Madonna

Live Nation and Madonna “are a consumer’s worst nightmare” – at least according to a new class-action lawsuit filed over the artist’s alleged lip-synching habit and late concert start times.

Individuals who claim to have attended Madonna’s Celebration Tour just recently submitted the action in Washington, D.C., about three months after a decidedly similar suit made its way into a New York federal court.

Though the largely overlapping complaints share multiple characteristics (and an attorney), the newer filing’s arguments aren’t confined to the allegedly late hour at which Madonna took the stage in D.C. on December 18th and 19th.

Just to reiterate those start-time qualms, the April of 2024 Madonna lawsuit alleges that the 65-year-old herself only began entertaining fans at about 10:30 PM, after the doors opened at 7:30 PM and the relevant Celebration Tour shows kicked off at 8:30 PM.

More than that, however, Madonna allegedly maintained “a hot and uncomfortable temperature in the venue” and opted to “lip synch much of her performance” at the expense of fans, per the text.

And as the plaintiffs (one of whom says she shelled out an eye-watering $992.76 for two tickets) see it, the alleged conduct, considered as a whole, amounts to breach of contract as well as “a wanton exercise in false advertising, intentional and negligent misrepresentation and unfair and deceptive trade practices.”

When all was said and done, the filing parties exited the venue “much later than they wanted or anticipated due to Madonna’s late start” and “were confronted with limited public transportation, limited ride-sharing, and/or increased public and private transportation costs at that late hour,” according to the suit.

Surprisingly, a cursory look at the plaintiffs’ backgrounds doesn’t suggest that the individuals are especially impressionable or hard up for cash.

One plaintiff’s name and location match those on a LinkedIn profile belonging to a “licensed clinical psychologist,” with another’s name and location included on the profile of a longtime executive assistant at a prominent big-box retail chain. The third and final plaintiff appears to be a schoolteacher.

Regardless of how exactly these purported Madonna fans found their way into the questionable suit, Live Nation will undoubtedly refute the allegations (in the courtroom, that is) sooner rather than later. The Ticketmaster parent, which has rightfully faced criticism for genuine operational shortcomings over the years, moved to dismiss the older late-start lawsuit closer to April’s beginning.

In addition to pushing back against the claims, Live Nation in its dismissal motion noted Ticketmaster’s ironclad arbitration clause. Bearing that point in mind, the newer suit expressly emphasizes that one plaintiff (the same person who dropped close to $1,000 to attend) purchased the Madonna tickets via StubHub .
