Sheriaal Awan Tribel Malik's nobles ascentors reached with Sultan Mahmoud Gaznavi from Afghanistan and settled in Delhi in 1025 aera. Sheraal Awans clamied that those are Qutab Shahi descendents. The Great General Malik Hizuburudin Zafar was also close nephew of Sultan Alaudin Khaliji, Sultan Ghazi Malik and and son n law of Malik Rajab Khan. Sher Khan father was also governor of samana, Multan, Savistian now a days modern agrah city. Hizuburudin father Malik Nizamudin was a strong administrative Officer in Balban and sultan Jalaludin regim and he was poisoned .Malik Nizamudin was kinsmen cousins of 1st khiliji sultan Jalaludin and Brother n Law of Alundin Khiliji, and cousins of Malik Rajab and Gazhi Malik 1st Tughlaq Sultan. Malik Hizuburudin Zafar Khan grave is in Tughlaq Fort Delh. Khan Malik Sher Khan family and tribe recognized a Maliks / Amir & landowners tribe in Sulatines dynasty governments offices holders status from Balban , Tughla, Lodhis, Mughals Emperor's and British Raj. After last Muslim Mughals emperor demolished sheriaal clan has given elite class status of public services & army serving Maliks & Khan Sahib's and landowners tribe of Pindi Gheb city by the British Raj and Company Rule in colonial system. After the decline of the Mughal Empire, the Sikh invaded and occupied Attock District. Sheraal Clan Chief leftuent Khan Bahadur Malik Gulsher Khan secretly provided 150 guns and 150 tribemens 50 horses to rebillion the support in 1857 Jung Azadi against east Indian company. Malik Gul Sher Khan second brother rebillion commander n Chief General Bakht Khan was fully supported by khan Gulsher Khan in 1857 during rebilliszation in Delhi. General Bakht was buried in sawat.The Muslims faced severe restrictions during the Sikh rule in area of Pindi Gheb but Awan of Pindi Gheb specially (Sheriaal's Awan Maliks and allied Awan tribes) resists frequently till sikhs rule ends. Pindi Gheb is one of the oldest towns of the Punjab Province. It is located at 110 kilometers from Rawalpindi and 102 kilometers from Attock. It is away 10 Kms from Dhullian Chowkpindi gheb (8) & 47 Kms from Talagang.Tehsil Pindi is boundedby:North: Tehsil Attock ,West: Tehsil Jand ,South: Tehsil Talagang District Chakwal ,East: Tehsil Fateh Jang.the capital is the town of Pindi Gheb. The tehsil is administratively subdivided into 13 Union Councils, two of which form the capital – Pindi Gheb.Pindi Gheb was given the status of Tehsil Headquarter of District Attock in 1904. The Tehsil is mainly a dry, undulating and often stony tract, broken by the ravines and sloping from East to West a country of rough scenery and scanty drain fall. West along the Indus are the ravines and pebble ridges which surround Makhad. Only near Pindi Gheb town does the broad bed of the Sil River show a bright oases of cultivation among the dreary uplands which compose the rest of the Tehsil.

Pindigheb is a town in Punjab province Pakistan and seat of Pindi Gheb Tehsil (an administrative subdivision) of Attock District.Pindi Gheb Town.-Head-quarters of the subdivision and tahsil of the same name in Attock District, Punjab, situated in 33° 14′ N. and 72° 16′ E., 21 miles from Jand station on the North-Western Railway. Population (1901), 8,452. pindi gheb (4)Historically the name PindGheb is the compound of two words “pind” mean village and “Gheb” derived from the Gheba khan,the ancestor of Royal Gheba tribe of Mughal sardar family who came and settled here in 16th century with Zaheer-ud-din Babar during the invasion of india and at the same time Jodhra tribe sattled in this area now the ancestral home of the Jodhra Maliks,who got it in the sixteenth century from their ancient rival Ghebas. The municipality was created in 1873. The income and expenditure during the ten years ending 1902-3 averaged Rs. 4,400. In 1903-4 the income was Rs. 5,200, chiefly from octroi; and the expenditure was Rs. 5,800. A vernacular middle school is maintained by the municipality, and a dispensary by Government.

Pindi Gheb Tahsil.-Tahsil of Attock District, Punjab, lying pindi gheb (5)between 33? o’ and 33? 47′ N. and 71? 42′ and 72? 4o’ E., with an area of 1,499 square miles. The Indus bounds it on the north-west. Its highest point lies in the KALA-CHITTA range. The tahsil is mainly a bleak, dry, undulating and often stony tract, broken by ravines, and -sloping from east to west: a country of rough scenery, sparse population, and scanty rainfall.West along the Indus are the ravines and pebble ridges which surround Makhad.Only near Pindi Gheb town does the broad bed of the Sil river show a bright oasis of cultivation among the dreary uplands which compose the rest of the tahsil.The population in 1901 was 106,437, compared with 99,350 in 189x. It contains the town of PINlli GHEB (population, 8,452), the head-quarters; and 134 villages.The land revenue and cesses in 1903-4 amounted to 1 -9 lakhs. Pindi Gheb Town.-Head-quarters of the subdivision and tahsil of the same name in Attock District, Punjab, situated in 33? 14′ N? and 72? 16′ E., 21 miles from Jand station on the North-Western Railway.Population (1901), 8,452. Formerly known as Pindi Malika-i-Shahryar or Malika-i-Auliya, or ‘queen of the saints,’ it derives its modern name from the Gheba tribe of Jats, and is now the ancestral home of the Jodhra Maliks, who founded it in the thirteenth century.PINJAUR VILLAGE is a place of some antiquity. Pinjaur Tahsil.-North-eastern tahsil of the Pinjaur nizimat; Patiala pindi gheb (1)State, Punjab, lying between 30? 41′ and 31? 11′ N. and 76? 5o’ and 77? 22′ E., with an area of 294 square miles. The population in 1901 was 55,731, compared with 56,745 in 1891. The tahsil contains 1,136 villages, of which PINJAUR is the head-quarters. The land revenue and cesses in 1903-4 amounted to Rs. 84,000.Historically the name PindGheb is the compound of two words “pind” mean village and “Gheb” derived from the Gheba khan,the ancestor of Royal Gheba tribe of Mughal sardar family who came and settled here in 16th century with Zaheer-ud-din Babar during the invasion of india and at the same time Jodhra tribe sattled in this area now the ancestral home of the Jodhra Maliks,who got it in the sixteenth century from their ancient rival Ghebas. The municipality was created in 1873.Pindigheb is an old village, with many communities of Sikhs, Hindus, and Muslims. During British rule Pindigheb was part of Rawalpindi District, in 1904 when Attock became a separate district, Pindigheb became a tehsil (subdivision) of it.

In 18th Century it existed as a semi-independent state..pindi gheb (2) In the North Kala Chitta Hills served as its natural boundary. To East it was extended to Chauntra. In the South East a large part of present day Chakwal tehsil including towns of Murid Kalar Kahar and Balkasar were included in the state of Pindi Ghen. In South its boundary was extended to Mauza Khabheki of Soon Vally. Whole of tehsil Talagang including its Western towns of Lawa, Danda Shah Bilawal and Kot Gulla were included in Pindi Gheb at that time. Before Mughal era the Janjua and Khattar tribes were residing in this area. In 1519 when Zaheer-ud-Din Babar passed through this area, there was village near Soan in the North East of Pindi Gheb. Babar related in his Tuzk,”After passing through Soan stream we stayed in a village named ‘Indran’ which was was an estate of the father of Malik Hast Khan.” It is stated that this Indrana village was situated near present day ‘Sarwai’.During the rein of Akbar this area was a part of Sind pindi gheb (6)Sagar Doab. Towards the end of Mughal era, Malik Aulia Khan has established a state in the area with its headquarters at Pindi Gheb and Sheriaal Clan Malik’s (Sofad Posh Khan Bahadur Malik Gulsher Khan/Khan Bahadur Malik Lal Khan ) fully supported Malik Aulia Khan for this action. In 1789 Sikh Sardars started raiding the area. But they failed to completely subdue these tribes.In 1835 when Sikhs’ government was in full swing in Punjab,a Sikh officer Sultan Singh was murdered at Khunda when he came to collect revenue. The foundation of Pindi Gheb city was laid down by Rajput Jodra clan with supported position of the Awan Sheriaal Malik’s. Sheriaal’s Malik’s came here in subcontinent with Mahmud Ganavi and settled in delhi.Malik Sher Khan Sheriaal migrated from Delhi after the bloodshed masacare of 1398 to near Pindi Gheb area where sheriaal clan laid down the stone of Dokh sheriaal village in 14 century. Sheriaal tribe inhabitant from over six hundered years here in pindi Geb.Malik Sher Khan and Malik Shahbaz Khan was closed friends at that time. Before migrated Malik Sher khan was kotwal / governer of Tughlaqabad, Ferozabad city, Delhi.Sher Khan name was still mentioned in tughlaqabad Fort Delhi. Forefathers of Sheriaal clan and Chieftains was also buried in old grave yard of Delhi. Sheriaal tribe settled at Delhi in 1035 aera. Sheriaal clan was also part of Gaznavi Army when they ware attcked Somnath temple Malik Sher Khan was a cousin and colletratively relative of Tughlaq Sulatines, Sheriaal clan was enjoyed the status of maliks, Umera, landonwers, Martial status in all mamluk , Tughla, Lodhis, Mughals and British Raj . Sheriaal was second poineer family of Pindi Gheb after Jodra family Pindi Gheb .Jodra clan forefather embraced islam during the era of Mahmood Ghaznavi and started living in Jammu. A man of this clan with the name of Bhoosi Khan came to this area in 13th Century and established a settlement on the right bank of Seel towards the West of present day Pindi Gheb city that place is now known as ‘Dharai’.A man Shahbaz Khan pindi gheb from the clan of Bhoosi was one day hunting when he met a Darvesh named ‘Bhor Sultan’. Bhor Sultan spoke some unfamiliar language and he with symbols advised Shabaz to shift his clan from the West bank of the Seel stream to its East bank. Shahbaz acted on his advice and funded a locality at the present day site of Pindi Gheb. There still exists a platform in the middle of the city, which was perhaps built in the memory of that Darvesh Bhor Sultan, known as Sakhi Bhor. Sheriaal Malik’s pioneer supporter of Jodras Malik’s to established Pindi Gheb City.
