Big Mountain Transportalponder!

In-game spelling, punctuation and/or grammar

  • 1 Background
  • 2 Characteristics
  • 3 Locations

Background [ ]

Created as a prototype teleportation device at some point in the facilities of Big MT , the Transportalponder! serves as the most direct route to and from the pre- War research facility, especially after the destruction of the train systems by a previous visitor . It comes with restrictions, however, that ensure that only someone who is not a threat to the sanctity of Big MT will use it to go there.

Following the confrontation in the Dome in 2281 , it comes into the possession of the Courier either directly from the Think Tank in gratitude for not destroying them or taken off their lifeless metal husks after destroying them.

Characteristics [ ]

The "weapon" has a similar design to a detonator, the back casing is orange with an aqua-colored clear glass top containing an electronic chip to the end and a concentration of lightning in the rest, with a barrel sticking out from the front attached via black tubes running down the sides. The antenna is also thicker with a spherical point, with its handle and trigger being similar to those of a weapon.

When used, it teleports the player character to one of only two locations: from the Mojave Wasteland to the Sink 's balcony, and from Big MT to the Mojave Drive-in . It will not activate if one is in combat or while falling, nor can one have any active companions . Unlike interacting with the crashed satellite at the Drive-In when starting Old World Blues , there is no teleporting animation, it simply immediately cuts to a loading screen before appearing at the new location.

Where in the Mojave one can teleport from can seem counter-intuitive as some areas, such as the Crimson Caravan Company , Freeside , Nellis Air Force Base , the Fort , the Strip , Hoover Dam , and Hidden Valley are not considered "in" the Mojave Wasteland despite being exposed to the sky, preventing it from being used. Teleportation is only possible if the Courier is in the Mojave Wasteland proper.

Dead Money

Locations [ ]

The "weapon" is either received from Doctor Klein after leaving the Think Tank or looted off his body after completing Old World Blues .

  • Transportation is possible while overencumbered and/or from outside the playing area.
  • It cannot be used in V.A.T.S.
  • It is tagged as a quest item and therefore cannot normally be dropped or removed from the player character's inventory. Due to its restrictions, however, bringing it into casinos, the interrogation room at Camp McCarran , or the Sierra Madre will still render it useless.
  • When using the Transportalponder! to travel back to the Mojave Drive-In, three Jackal gang members may spawn nearby. They will not attack, and if killed, seem to be unlootable.
  • If a Stealth Boy is used, the energy within the Transportalponder! appears green.
  • Even though it is functionally harmless, drawing the Transportalponder! in casinos on the Strip still nets the player infamy.

It crashes continuosly. #5. Not Bubba Mar 23, 2014 @ 8:41am. Well, you can always try the COC command. Get on google and lookup "new vegas coc id's" Should bring you to and index page you can search through. Find the code for The Sink, that should avoid the crash trigger. #6. Old World blues Crashes on fast travel or entering/exiting building. Hey guys first time poster here. 7. Does anyone notice more crashing in Old World Blues? (PC) : r/fnv

New Vegas Anti Crash will probably help. Anyway it's not, to my knowledge, an OWB issue; but it's probably related to the size of your save file. As the files get bigger, crashes become more common; and DLCs add a large chunk to the file in very short order. 2. Share.

Fallout: New Vegas. New Vegas crashing almost nonstop during 'Old World Blues" now. Quad9damage 11 years ago #1. I need help! Previously, NV would crash maybe once every now and then. 9. Constant crashing on November 6, 2277 : r/OldWorldBlues

Constant crashing on November 6, 2277. BUG. As title says my OWB games all crash on this date at the same hour time too. I've posted my crash log and save in the OWB discord and never got any response. I've reinstalled HOI4, OWB, and then done it again just to be sure. Game crashes in vanilla OWB and modded as well.

  10. Crashing at Old Worlds Blues :: Fallout: New Vegas General Discussions

Cheers. #2. dunmarvinc Nov 15, 2017 @ 3:56pm. My game is also crashing while playing Old World Blues. However, my crashes only seem to be occuring when I fast travel. I currently have no mods installed. This doesn't really answer your question but at least I can tell you it's not related to your mods. #3.

  11. My game crashes when I try to fast travel. :: Fallout: New Vegas

(right after crash and restart) 1. load last save 2. walk away for about 10 seconds 3. save in a different slot (overwrite another existing or make new) 4. walk again for 10 secs 5. attempt to fast travel the bug happens when you fast travel too close to loading, saving, or opening a new area. and yes, it seems to thankfully be limited to big mt.

  12. New Vegas on Series S keeps crashing during old world blues

New Vegas on Series S keeps crashing during old world blues. I only experienced one crash prior to starting the DLC, no issues at all before installing it. 16. My final Impression of Old World Blues/Review (and rating) : r/fnv

The story us a bit brief but very interesting. **** Now for the criticisms. About 60% of the dlc quests are just fetch quests. Go here, go there, repeat. This bothered me alot at first but you are rewarded with not only the great story but the great perks and xp as well. **** That brings my review to an end. I would probably give it an 8/10.
