Best Cruise Deals and Discounts sorted by your dream destination

Sometimes it's all about the destination and that is certainly true of cruise destinations. The cruise port you depart from and the amazing cruise ports you visit define your experience as much as what cruise line or cruise ship you sail on. At CruiseExperts.com we understand that and have sorted these cruises by the places you'll visit on your cruise vacation. So whether it's a cruise to Alaska, a Caribbean cruise, cruises to Hawaii, a cruise to the Bahamas or Bermuda or a cruise to Mexico you'll find it easily with the help of our destination wizard. Maybe you're looking for a cruise vacation that's just a little different like a Panama Canal cruise, a Transatlantic cruise, cruises to Europe, a Tahiti cruise with a tour of the South Pacific, a down under adventure with an Australia / New Zealand cruise or even a fall foliage cruise through Canada and New England. Whatever “floats your boat” get started by selecting your dream destination on our cruise search page .

Last Minute Cruises can sometimes be the cheapest cruise deal.

Sometimes, but not always, the cheapest cruise deal is a Last Minute Cruise. You won't get a wide selection of stateroom categories or a chance to select your stateroom location but if your schedule is flexible you just might find a cheap cruise price on a last minute cruise. Last minute cruises are cruises leaving in the next 90 days. The cruise line really wants to fill those last few staterooms and sometimes will offer them at a discount cruise price in exchange for you giving up your right to a full selection of cabin categories or deck locations. CruiseExperts.com makes it easy for you to poke around and see what's available in last minute cruise deals. View our Last Minute Cruise Deals by clicking here and give it a try. This is one of our most popular website features.

San Pedro Cruise Terminal Information

Last updated on February 7th, 2024 at 02:06 pm

Serving as the primary cruise terminal for Los Angeles, San Pedro offers a convenient departure point for cruises along the California coast and to Mexico. Explore nearby attractions like the Queen Mary and the vibrant Long Beach waterfront before setting sail.

There are two Los Angeles cruise ports – the World Cruise Center in San Pedro and Carnival’s terminal in Long Beach . See here for information on the Long Beach Cruise Terminal.

If you are looking for places to shop for souvenirs or to catch a break for refreshments and a meal, check out the restaurants near the San Pedro cruise terminal.

World Cruise Center – San Pedro California

The World Cruise Terminal at the Port of Los Angeles is located at 100 Swinford Street in San Pedro.  The ships dock at berths 91,92 and 93.

Only a 20 minutes drive from downtown L.A., this can be a great stop for the projected 600,000 passengers to come through the San Pedro terminal.

Within a 5 mile radius of the terminal are many different things for passengers to see and do – the Battleship IOWA, Ports O’Call Village, the Los Angeles Maritime Museum, and downtown San Pedro, home to many galleries, shops and restaurants.

San Pedro Cruise Terminal Tips:

– There is no luggage storage for passengers. – Follow the signs for Berths 91-93 when you get to the port entrance – There are free shuttles to transport passengers from the parking lot to the terminal entrance, and the shuttles are wheelchair accessible , but it is advised to drop passengers and luggage at the terminal prior to parking.

Los Angeles Weather

Los Angeles enjoys warm weather all year ’round, which makes any time a great time to visit. Late summer is especially suitable for beach visits, when the water is spectacularly warm. Keep in mind that the smog tends to be thickest during the summer months, and the autumn and winter can be a bit nippy due to the Santa Ana winds.

San Pedro Cruise Port Guide - Los Angeles

San Pedro Cruise Terminal, also known as The World Cruise Center is located at Berths 91, 92, and 93A/B at the Port of Los Angeles is one of three cruise ports serving guests from Southern California, including Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego . San Pedro is only a few minutes from hotels, restaurants, and tourist activities Long Beach and San Pedro.

The San Pedro Cruise Terminal has a long history and many people's first images of cruising were formed here when they watched "The Love Boat" depart from here on TV each week. Today, the terminal serves more than 1 million cruise passengers annually making it the largest cruise ship terminal on the west coast of the United States.

Destinations and Cruise Lines Sailing From San Pedro:

San Pedro Cruise Terminal is a larger facility than it's neighbor to the south and is operated by The Port of Los Angeles and Ports America. As such, the number of ships and cruise lines supported here is significantly more diverse than at Long Beach. This includes ships from: Carnival, Celebrity, Costa, Crystal, Cunard, Disney, Norwegian, Princess, and Royal Caribbean. Cruise destinations served from San Pedro include Hawaii, Mexico, Pacific Coastal, and Alaska.

Parking at San Pedro Cruise Terminal:

Public parking is available in a secured lot with 2,560 spots available. Cost is $18 per day ( see current cruise parking rates ). Passenger shuttles are available from the terminal to parking lot areas.

How To Get To San Pedro Cruise Terminal:

San Pedro Cruise Terminal is easy to get to for guests throughout Southern California as well as Arizona and Southern Nevada. It is approximately a two-hour drive from San Diego, 30-minutes from Long Beach Airport, and under an hour from LAX. The cruise terminal is located on the north side of San Pedro Bay, just West of the Vincent Thomas Bridge.

What To Do When Visiting San Pedro:

As the primary port serving cruise guests to Los Angeles, the entire area is available within an hour drive. This includes attractions like Disneyland, beaches, and museums. San Pedro itself shouldn't be overlooked though.

Princess sails from San Pedro, correct. Pier 92/93 most of the time. Address 100 Swinford St.( Los Angeles world cruise center)

To the best of my knowledge, only Carnival sails from Long Beach, near the Queen Mary.

Rarely, Princess also sails from berth 46, which is due south as far as you can go, but you can check this out on the port schedule. I mention it, but it is rare so don't sweat it. Online map this to get a feel for the area.

San Pedro, near the USS Iowa.

Haha

I'm just being ornery it's been ONE of THOSE days.

Yes, Princess will embark from San Pedro.(World Cruise Terminal)

But if Princess is coming in for a day, she may port in Long Beach near the Queen Mary since there is more to do in Long Beach FOR THE DAY.

San Pedro is a lovely place to spend the day  🙃 💕

I forgot...oops.  As I was standing outside of the terminal for my ride, a lovely Australia couple was asking about an UBER to LA.  When I told her how much it might cost, she asked about other things to do in the area since they were going to get back on the Grand.

I mentioned the USS Iowa.  Then directed them to hotels in the walking area.  I even told them to walk the couple of blocks uphill to Gaffey for lunch.

Personally, I do love to visit Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, The seal rescue center, the Korean Bell, Palos Verdes Lighthouse and interpretive center, Point Fermin Lighthouse, and so many other lovely areas.  You have a lovely "backyard."

you are right--Long Beach has done a much better job of making their highlights accessible, but Pedro is working on it--there sadly is not info easily available in/or right outside the terminal to help people find what we have right here--baby steps to becoming a place people want to come (5 or 6 years ago the Navy actually told their sailors it was safer/better to go to LB when they were here for Navy Days!)

I'll bootstrap on this question:  I have always been told that the pier is San Pedro, but I have the address for the World Cruise Center is 100 Swinford St.,  Wilmington , CA 90744.

So, is the Cruise Center in San Pedro or Wilmington?

I don't know where you got the Wilmington location from but the World Cruise Center is definitely in San Pedro.

Kay S

Wilmington and San Pedro share a border.  100 Swinford St. is in San Pedro.  It's the only cruise terminal there, and you can't mistake it.  Walk across the street and find yourself in Wilmington.  Any Uber or taxi driver will know where to go.  What you don't want to do is go the Long Beach terminal (which is over the bridge) and find yourself at the Carnival dock.  You might want to consult Google maps.

I am guessing you got the Wilmington from Google Maps? Which has that address & the Wilmington zipcode...the Port Website & Bing/Mapquest have San Pedro & 90731 zip...they all have directions getting you to the right place (in San Pedro, by the way)...it can also be Los Angeles as both Wilmington & San Pedro are technically Los Angeles city & they make up the Port of Los Angeles. Long Beach is it's own city & port.

6 minutes ago, travelin.sisters said: I am guessing you got the Wilmington from Google Maps?

Wow, you are good!!  That is exactly where I got "Wilmington."

Google Maps gets me to the ship every time (albeit with some confusion due to the construction these last couple of years).  But somehow, on the way to the ship, I always end up detouring to the CVS on Gaffee, because my wife always has a few last minute purchases to make!  For my last cruise, I put that CVS into my Navigator as my destination, knowing that we would need to pick up _______ (antacids, eye drops, sunscreen, skin lotions, ....)  It is all good!

Following is the amended portion of the voyage:

Those guests scheduled to originally depart or join the cruise from Dubai on March 14, 2025 , will now embark or disembark four days earlier on March 9 , in Cape Town, South Africa . This cruise will also bypass the Red Sea and surrounding region, including the transit of the Suez Canal . The ship will travel via Africa instead of the Red Sea and Asia itinerary. The fully revised itinerary is currently being finalized and will be communicated shortly.
