The Chrysler Voyager is, simply put, a less expensive version of the Chrysler Pacifica. We're all for less expensive, but there are a few trade-offs. For example, you don't get the Pacifica's nifty second-row Stow 'n Go seats that easily fold into the floor when not needed. Instead, to create maximum cargo storage capacity in the Voyager, you must unlatch and remove the second-row seating.

Cost to Drive Cost to drive estimates for the 2021 Chrysler Voyager L 4dr Minivan (3.6L 6cyl 9A) and comparison vehicles are based on 15,000 miles per year (with a mix of 55% city and 45% highway driving) and energy estimates of $3.55 per gallon for regular unleaded in North Dakota.

Now, for the 2021 model year, there is further separation between a Pacifica and a Voyager. The Pacifica gets a styling refresh, wider availability of all-wheel drive, a new Pinnacle luxury trim level and more. The Voyager does not. Aside from improved safety technology, it is the same as it was in 2020.

Chrysler does, however, pass a torch to the 2021 Voyager. Now that the positively ancient Dodge Grand Caravan has gone to that big scrapyard in the sky, the Voyager stands as the least expensive minivan on the market. But you might find that spending a little more to get the more fully featured Pacifica, or other vans such as the Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna, will be worth it in the long run.

Which Used 2021 Chrysler Voyager Trim Is Right for Me?

The 2021 Chrysler Voyager comes in two trims: L and LX. Both trims come with a V6 engine, a nine speed-automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The LX will get you more convenience features, like a power-adjustable driver’s seat and audio controls on the steering wheel, but performance-wise, these trims are similar.

• Chrysler Voyager L: The base L trim comes with a 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a USB port, a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, second-row bench seats, a Stow ‘n Go rear-row bench seat, a rearview camera and remote keyless entry. You may be able to find some models with tri-zone manual climate control.
• Chrysler Voyager LX: The LX trim gains a touring-tuned suspension, satellite radio, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, two second-row bucket seats with in-floor storage bins, audio controls on the steering wheel and alloy wheels. It's available with heated front seats, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, remote start and a rear overhead DVD player.

What Does Chrysler's Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Cover?

Chrysler has a certified pre-owned program for vehicles less than six years old and with fewer than 65,000 miles. Buyers get the balance of the seven-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. They also receive a three-month, 3,000-mile maximum care warranty that covers most major components and is good from the date you purchase your CPO Chrysler. If your CPO Chrysler has any of the original three-year, 36,000-mile new-vehicle warranty remaining, the maximum care warranty kicks in when the new-car warranty expires. Chrysler CPO vehicles must pass a 125-point inspection. Additional benefits like towing and 24-hour roadside assistance may be available.

The Voyager received the lowest rating of Poor for how well its headlights illuminate the road ahead. The IIHS uses a different scale for grading collision avoidance features. Depending on when the vehicle was built, the Voyager received the midtier rating of Advanced or the lowest rating of Basic for its available front-crash prevention system.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Voyager an overall safety rating of five out of five stars. The Voyager received five stars in the frontal and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover test.

These two minivans feature the same V6 engine and cargo dimensions, but the Pacifica is available with many more features, including adaptive cruise control, a Wi-Fi hot spot, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, all-wheel drive and second-row seats that fold flat into the floor. The downside is that the Pacifica has higher projected ownership costs and will likely cost more to purchase.

Well, hello, Voyager 1! The venerable spacecraft is once again making sense

NASA says it is once again able to get meaningful information back from the Voyager 1 probe, after months of troubleshooting a glitch that had this venerable spacecraft sending home messages that made no sense.

The Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 probes launched in 1977 on a mission to study Jupiter and Saturn but continued onward through the outer reaches of the solar system. In 2012, Voyager 1 became the first spacecraft to enter interstellar space, the previously unexplored region between the stars. (Its twin, traveling in a different direction, followed suit six years later.)

Voyager 1 had been faithfully sending back readings about this mysterious new environment for years — until November, when its messages suddenly became incoherent .

It was a serious problem that had longtime Voyager scientists worried that this historic space mission wouldn't be able to recover. They'd hoped to be able to get precious readings from the spacecraft for at least a few more years, until its power ran out and its very last science instrument quit working.

For the last five months, a small team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California has been working to fix it. The team finally pinpointed the problem to a memory chip and figured out how to restore some essential software code.

"When the mission flight team heard back from the spacecraft on April 20, they saw that the modification worked: For the first time in five months, they have been able to check the health and status of the spacecraft," NASA stated in an update.

The usable data being returned so far concerns the workings of the spacecraft's engineering systems. In the coming weeks, the team will do more of this software repair work so that Voyager 1 will also be able to send science data, letting researchers once again see what the probe encounters as it journeys through interstellar space.

Matt Rempe landed a thunderous hit on Trevor van Riemsdyk against the end boards in the first period of the Rangers’ Game 3 win over the Capitals, leveling the Capitals defenseman to the ice and knocking him out for the remainder of the game with what the home team described as an upper-body injury.

Officials called Rempe for interference and sent the Capitals on their third power play of the game up to that point.

After the game, the Capitals’ Nic Dowd did not mince words about Rempe’s hit.

"That was a dirty hit. …

I think a player (Rempe) took advantage of another player in a vulnerable spot."

“That was a dirty hit,” Dowd told reporters. “I think anybody can understand that Riems made a play, time passed, although quickly, and I think a player took advantage of another player in a vulnerable spot.”

“I’m sick and tired of losing defensemen to ‘clean hits’,” defenseman John Carlson added. “It’s frustrating how guys can get injured and it’s legal.”

Rempe finished the game with four hits in just over five minutes of ice time as the Rangers moved to a 3-0 series led.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — Hailey Van Lith is focused on making the USA Basketball 3x3 Olympic team this summer and not worried about where she’ll end up at college next year.

Van Lith is currently taking part in a training camp in Springfield, Massachusetts, and will play in a 3x3 tournament early next week at The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

The 22-year-old guard, who played at Louisville and LSU, has experienced success in 3x3 for the U.S. She won a gold medal on the U18 team in 2019 and helped win gold at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup last year. The Paris Games is the second Olympics offering 3x3, after the event debuted in Tokyo in the 2021 Games.

“What I remember most is that every game is so unique,” she said of 3x3 play. “The strategy from game to game is so different. You can’t specialize in one thing and make it as a player in 3 on 3. You have to be able to guard every position for at least a couple of seconds.”

Van Lith has a chance to make the Paris Games because two of the four members of the U.S. team must be in America’s top 10 for total points accumulated in FIBA rankings. Van Lith currently qualifies at fifth.

Playing in the training camp with so many WNBA players — Dearica Hamby, Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard — has helped Van Lith improve her game.

“Playing against them and seeing how I’m able to score and not score shows me what I need to get better at,” Van Lith said. “It’s a little taste of the league early.”

As far as where she will play college basketball next year, she says she still hasn’t signed anywhere yet. Van Lith decided to play in college one more season instead of entering the WNBA draft.

“I did take a visit to TCU and am very interested in them, but I took visits to other schools and was very interested in them, too,” she told The Associated Press. “I haven’t made an official commitment, but I’m very close. The ink has not touched the paper for any school.”

Van Lith said she’s really stayed off social media for the most part since LSU lost to Iowa in the Elite Eight this month. She didn’t even know that Haley Cavinder had decided to not play at TCU and go back to Miami until Saturday afternoon.

She said Cavinder’s choice wouldn’t play a role in her decision.

“It’s a non-factor for me,” Van Lith said. “If she had stayed and I did go to TCU, I’d have loved to play with her.”

Van Lith averaged 11.6 points and 3.6 assists in her only season at LSU, joining the NCAA defending champions for the 2023-24 season. She has the option for another season because of the extra year granted by the NCAA to athletes whose freshmen season was affected by the pandemic.

She starred at Louisville her first three years, leading the Cardinals to the Final Four in 2022. Louisville lost in the Elite Eight last year before she decided to transfer to LSU. She was one of the biggest names in the portal last season and is again now.

If you are a phenomenal player, it doesn’t matter if you are still in college or a seasoned professional player. USA Basketball was represented by two teams at the 2024 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series opener with players from the WNBA, NCAA, Athletes Unlimited and the international level.

After winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, the United States is looking to repeat in Paris. Team USA consisted of Hailey Van Lith, Cierra Burdick, Lexie Hull and Rhyne Howard. The other roster, Team Springfield, boasted Allisha Gray, Cameron Brink, Dearica Hamby and Linnae Harper.

Team USA took second to Canada in the final at the Springfield stop of the series, falling short, 20-18. The teams competing in the series consisted of athletes from Canada, France, Germany and Puerto Rico.

The 3×3 game is a bit different than the 5×5 full-court basketball. For example, 3×3 is played on a half-court with a 10-minute game clock. The first team to score 21 points via 1-point field goals or 2-pointers behind the arc is victorious. If neither team reaches 21 before time expires, the team with the most points wins.

“I just like how free-flowing it is; there’s a lot of room for error,” Brink said . “If you mess up, you just have to move on to the next possession immediately.”

The FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series “offers women a chance to play 3×3 at the highest competitive level regularly, representing a unique opportunity to bring new countries and players into the limelight and to recognize the best and upcoming players in the industry.” The event culminates in a 3×3 World Cup and then the Olympic Games in Paris.

Researchers who analyzed consumer feedback from Etsy discovered that what consumers value most about upcycled products is not their sustainability but their creativity. Their findings offer some guidelines for companies who hope to design and successfully market upcycled products: 1) Designers should consider using components from other industries to enhance the appeal of their products and encourage cross-industry collaboration; 2) Product designers and managers should identify new uses for product components; 3) Marketers should emphasize creativity, as well as sustainability, in their messaging about upcycled products; and 4) Companies can boost the appeal of new products by emphasizing design elements that remind consumers of upcycled products.

Upcycling — the creation of new products by reusing one or more components from ones — is having a moment.
