The RSSC ships are medium-size top luxury passenger ships, with a capacity of up to 700 guests each, all 6-star rated all-suite all-balcony vessels. Regent offers a generous space-to-guest ratio of over 70, and a staff-to-guest ratio of 1/1,6 - some of the best ratios in the industry. Regent cruise ships offer some of the world's best, all-inclusive luxury cruise deals. These are also among the most expensive cruise vessels in the world.

RSSC Regent Seven Seas Cruises logo

All Regent ships are named with the prefix "Seven Seas", connotating all the world's oceans. The name is a most proper one, especially for the Voyager - an ex-USSR's Navy ice-class ship-to-be. Bought as a hull, she is now one of the most recognizable top luxury passenger ships, sailing all the Seven Seas of the World.

The Regent brand serves a clientele of predominantly affluent, middle-aged and older travelers, who expect a quiet and relaxing atmosphere and sophistication on board. The brand line is the epitome for impeccable service of the highest standards. RSSC's all-inclusive vacation packages offer care-free world cruising in an ambiance of luxury, quality, and value.

RSSC is well-appreciated also as one of the best cruise brands for families celebrating anniversaries and birthdays. The top-luxury RSSC ships enjoy some of the highest passenger loyalty rates.

On June 6, 2022, NCLH announced an expansion of its fleetwide sustainability program "Sail & Sustain". Extending its animal welfare policy, the shipowner is now fully committed to responsible animal food sourcing practices (regarding pork, chicken, eggs, and seafood) within the global fleet's supply chain. The goal is by the year 2025, fleetwide (NCL, Oceania, Regent) to be sourced only cage-free eggs, crate-free pork, certified sustainable seafood, and chicken purchased from American and Canadian suppliers who meet GAP (Global Animal Partnership) standards.

In late-June 2022, RSSC announced a new Italian menu to be introduced in November 2023 (on the newbuild Grandeur ) and later rolled out fleetwide. The new menu (developed for the Italian restaurant chain Sette Mari) includes items like Bruschetta al pomodoro (tomato), Cavatelli ai frutti di mare (filled pasta), Zucchini alla poverella, Insalata di Panzanella (bread salad) alla Masseria Salamina (17th-century castle in Fasano), Cozze gratinate al forno (stuffed mussels), Branzino in agrodolce (spigola in sweet-and-sour sauce), Pasticcini alla mandorle (Sicilian baked sweets), Chef Nino's Cioppino (fish stew), focaccia con pomodorini (Italian flat bread made with olive oil and flavoured with herbs).

Since January 2023, RSSC's President is Andrea DeMarco, who succeeded Jason Montague. Regent's and Oceania's Presidents both report to NCL's President (currently Harry Sommer).

In 2023 was launched the "Epicurean Perfection" culinary program grouping specially curated "Epicurean Spotlight Voyages". On select sailings, RSSC schedules food & wine-themed shipboard and land-based events like culinary-themed land tours and onboard cooking classes, tastings and food & wine pairings hosted by celebrity chefs and held at the ship's specialty restaurants.

Ship refurbishments

In January 2016, an USD 125 million drydock refurbishment plan was revealed for 3 ships in the RSSC fleet. The aim was to bring the vessels in line with the new Seven Seas Explorer (launched in 2016). The 2-year fleet upgrade plan started with the smallest 490-passenger Seven Seas Navigator (April 2016). Seven Seas Voyager was next (2016), followed by Seven Seas Mariner (2017).

The list of numerous onboard renovations included refurbishing of most public spaces, a complete redesign of all staterooms, ship technology, and equipment upgrades. After the fleet renovation program was completed, RSSC started offering free unlimited Internet and Wi-Fi to all cruise passengers (regardless of cabin categories).

As a top-luxury, all-inclusive cruise line, RSSC provides deals inclusive of beverages (including fine wines and premium spirits) and all-inclusive cruise fares (with roundtrip airfare, shore excursions, gratuities included). The line's newly expanded shore excursions program offers complimentary 3-night land tours in new locations (Cape Town South Africa, Hong Kong, and Beijing China, Angkor Wat Cambodia). The experience features African safaris, China's Great Wall, an elephant camp in Thailand.

On February 11, 2019, RSSC announced its partnership with Vero Water (eco-friendly bottled water supplier) to eliminate all single-use plastic bottles fleetwide. In the period April-June 2019, all Regent cruise liners were outfitted with Vero Water (onboard purification) systems eliminating ~2 million plastic bottles annually. Project's implementation schedule for 2019 included the ships Voyager (April 5), Explorer (April 8), Mariner (June 5) and Navigator (June 18). All RSSC cruise customers are provided complimentary with re-useable Vero Water bottles (Regent-branded, 1 per person) to be used ashore and after the voyage to take home as a souvenir.

In 2019, RSSC introduced fleetwide an innovative plant-based menu items. RSSC cruises to Cuba

RSSC was the only North American luxury travel brand that was granted permission to offer cruises to Cuba. More visits to the unique Caribbean island country were added for season 2020, but the schedule was canceled due to the pandemic.

Note: According to the current Cuban law, US citizens of Cuban origin (born in Cuba) are not allowed to visit the island country (including on cruise ships). Regardless of their US citizenship status, Cuban-born Americans were denied booking on cruise itineraries visiting ports in Cuba. However, the situation changed in April 2016, after Carnival Corporation negotiated with the Cuban government for allowing ships with Cuban-born passengers, as such US citizens are allowed to visit the country on USA-Cuba charter flights. The Carnival-fathom line started Miami to Cuba cruises in May 2016.

Alaska Airlines offers regular nonstop flights to Havana from Los Angeles (California USA). An 80-min ling JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale (Florida) to Havana costs less than USD 100. Previously, air travel from the USA to Cuba was thought charter flights only.

Not all cruise passengers want to fill their suitcases with ball gowns and tuxedos, and luxury cruises no longer necessarily mean headache-inducing rules relating to what should be worn when. There are no formal nights on sailings with Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and SeaDream Yacht Club. The dress code for SeaDream Yacht Club is simply “country-club casual” although guests are asked to avoid wearing t-shirts or jeans to dinner.

One of the best examples is Scenic Cruises. Book a sailing with this luxury cruise line and the fare includes absolutely everything, whether it’s international and internal flights or fine dining, butler service and excursions.

Luxury cruise lines can be fully all-inclusive too

Okay, so no cruise ship restaurant has bagged a Michelin star yet, but plenty of Michelin-starred chefs have helped shape the cuisine on cruise ships. Cornelius Gallagher has designed the menus for Celebrity Ascent, which sets sail in September 2023, and Seabourn has worked closely with Thomas Keller in the past. There’s no shortage of innovation, either – SeaDream Yacht Club recently launched the first plant-based menu at sea.

Collaborations between cruise lines and famous names in the world of food and entertainment are common, and now some of the world’s top designers are getting in on the act. Ralph Lauren has teamed up with Oceania Cruises to ramp up the wow factor of the Owner’s Suites on Vista, which launches in May 2023. Expect the design house’s furnishings in the living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms.

What better way to toast your voyage than with vast quantities of Champagne and caviar? For many SeaDream Yacht Club guests, the highlight of every Caribbean sailing is the Champagne & Caviar Splash, when a gourmet barbecue – which mainly consists of unlimited quantities of Champagne and caviar – is served on the nearest sandy white beach.

PRE-CRUISE GALA ON BOARD SEVEN SEAS MARINER®

WORLD CRUISE GALA EXCLUSIVE

WORLD CRUISE GALA EXCLUSIVE

The commodores, world cruise gala frequenly asked questions, when and where will the world cruise gala be held.

The Moments in Time 2024 World Cruise Gala will be held on the evening of embarkation, January 6, 2024 from 6pm-10:45pm. The evening will consist of a dinner featuring the same curated gala menu in Compass Rose, Chartreuse and Prime 7. The dinner will be followed by special entertainment featuring celebrity appearances in the Constellation Theater at 9:30pm.

Why is the gala occurring onboard rather than shoreside?

After receiving feedback from many of our past world cruise guests, we decided to bring back the tradition of holding the gala onboard.

Will there still be a dinner for guests staying at The Biltmore Coral Gables or the Mandarin Oriental on January 5th in lieu of the gala?

No, there will not be a dinner on January 5th. Instead, there will be an hour cocktail reception with heavy appetizers at each property for guests to mingle. As always, a complimentary breakfast will be available the morning of January 6th. Details on the cocktail reception and breakfast will be provided upon check-in.

Is the onboard gala in the Constellation Theatre available to everyone boarding in Miami?

The gala is available to all world cruise guests. Segment guests will embark on January 7, 2024 allowing for an exclusive onboard experience for our world cruise guests.

Will the jacket and polo shirt be given out at the Gala dinner or be placed in our suite? Can we see what they look like?

The World Cruise gifts will be provided on different evenings throughout the voyage. We are not providing images of the gifts as this will be a surprise and delight for our guests.

The sizing of the jackets is standard so please request the size you would normally wear. We will also have extra sizes in case an exchange is needed.

Will transfers still be provided to guests who are not staying at The Biltmore Coral Gables or the Mandarin Oriental?

Please contact Regent Seven Seas Cruises with questions regarding your transfer to Seven Seas Mariner .

What is the dress code for the gala?

The dress code for the gala event is cocktail attire, but guests have the option to dress formal (suits for men, long gowns for women) if they choose.

Is the hotel stay at The Biltmore Coral Gables or the Mandarin Oriental already paid for by Regent?

The one-night pre-cruise hotel stay was an inclusion of booking the 2024 World Cruise and there is no additional cost to guests who booked this inclusion.

How will gala dinner reservations be handled?

Details on the gala dinner are forthcoming, but reservations will be managed by Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and guests will be assigned a dining venue and table.

Will check in be at the hotel or the pier?

Check in will be at Terminal J in Miami.

See Four Seasons' upcoming ultra-luxury cruise with a $350,000-a-week suite bigger than most homes

  • Four Seasons says it will begin sailing an  ultra-luxury yacht cruise in January 2026.
  • The 222-guest vessel would have 95 spacious suites and 11 dining options — but food wouldn't be free.
  • The largest suite would have four floors and bedrooms, a spa, and a price of $350,000 per sailing.

Insider Today

Four Seasons plans to expand its high-end hotels and resorts portfolio with a luxury 222-guest cruise ship.

The company says the 95-suite vessel will debut in January 2026 and cost a minimum of $20,000 per weeklong sailing.

For that price, the luxury hospitality giant says travelers would enjoy a one-to-one guest-to-staff ratio and massive suites spanning as many as four floors. If all goes as planned, the 679-foot-long Four Seasons I could become one of the most expensive and opulent options in the cruise industry.

The ultra-plush 14-deck Four Seasons I is scheduled for 19 voyages in 2026 to more than 130 Caribbean and Mediterranean ports.

Reservations opened two weeks ago. Those interested can register to join a waitlist or book through a travel agent.

So far, "sales have been very encouraging, and the demand is exciting to see," Thatcher Brown, chief commercial officer and head of joint operations for Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, told Business Insider in a statement. The company is a joint owner and operator of Four Seasons Yachts.

Renderings make the Four Seasons I look as opulent as the brand's land-based properties.

regent cruises january 2024

Four Seasons says its vessel will have 95 suites ranging from 537 to 9,975 square feet, some with three bedrooms.

The smallest suite starts at $19,700 for a five-night roundtrip voyage to Athens, Greece.

No windowless interior cabins here: Like other ultra-luxe cruises, the suites would all have terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows.

regent cruises january 2024

Customers could expect upscale amenities like a walk-in closet, down-filled duvets and pillows, and marble dual vanity bathrooms, per Four Seasons.

The most premium suites would also feature additional accommodations for "personal assistants," such as au pairs or security personnel.

Some options, like the 7,952-square-foot Loft Suite, could be adjoined with seven other cabins to accommodate up to 20 people.

regent cruises january 2024

Without connecting cabins, the Loft Suite would already have three bedrooms and bathrooms, a powder room, and a sauna.

Others, like the largest Funnel Suite, would have its own spa and kitchen.

regent cruises january 2024

Four Seasons says the 9,975-square-foot mansion, partially perched in the ship's glass-lined funnel , will span four floors, four bathrooms, three bedrooms, and three powder rooms.

Not to mention the private elevator, pool, and $350,000-a-voyage price tag.

Accommodations of this price and size are generally unheard of in the cruise industry.

regent cruises january 2024

Luxury operator Silversea says the largest suite on its upcoming 728-guest Silver Ray will be 1,324 square feet. Competitor Regent Seven Seas' new Seven Seas Grandeur debuted in 2023 with a more expansive six-guest 4,443-square-foot option.

Both suites' sizes and prices — Regent's starts at $42,000 per person for a total of $252,000 at maximum occupancy — would be stunted by Four Seasons' promise of a 9,975-square-foot, $350,000 floating mansion.

But cabins with six-digit prices aren't unheard of.

regent cruises january 2024

While not a luxury cruise line, Royal Caribbean's popular three-floor townhouse on the new Icon of the Seas is being booked at an average of $100,000 a week — although it's about four times smaller than Four Seasons' largest.

Royal Caribbean and other mass-market cruise lines are beloved, in part, for their unlimited complimentary food options.

regent cruises january 2024

Regent Seven Seas' all-inclusive fare also covers caviar, foie gras, and Champagne.

But don't expect any of these to be free on the Four Seasons I.

Breakfast would be complimentary. Lunch, dinner, and booze would not.

regent cruises january 2024

The vessel's 11 restaurants and lounges would be priced similarly to Four Seasons' on-land properties. (A dinner entrée at its resort on the Caribbean island of Nevis — also one of the ship's destinations — ranges from $34 to $163.)

The pricing structure may sound odd to most cruise traditionalists. (Hey, at least WiFi would be "free.")

regent cruises january 2024

But some of the ship's amenities could look familiar: Like most cruise liners, the Four Seasons I would have a pool, spa, and clubs for children and teens.

The company also promises a lounge and marina that will open onto the water, giving guests direct access to activities like snorkeling or windsurfing.

Four Seasons Yachts plans to take delivery of its $399 million vessel, now being built by famed Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, in late 2025.

regent cruises january 2024

A second Fincantieri-built ship would join the hospitality company's fleet the following year. The next vessel would cost more than 400 million euros, about $429.2 million, Four Seasons says.

This isn’t Four Seasons' first foray into itinerary-based vacations.

regent cruises january 2024

The company has also found "tremendous success" in its private jet-based "cruises," Alejandro Reynal, the president and CEO of Four Seasons, told BI in a statement.

Its 2024 vacation-by-air itineraries started at $135,000 for a 16-day Asia tour. Demand has been growing, he said, "signaling that luxury travelers are looking for immersive, exclusive, end-to-end travel journeys that allow them to explore the world with their favorite brands."

But its new ultra-luxe cruise arm would be entering an increasingly crowded luxury market, soon to be dominated by like-minded hospitality giants.

regent cruises january 2024

High-end Aman Resorts and Orient Express plan to launch their own luxury cruises in 2027 and 2026, respectively.

Staying ahead of the competition, Ritz-Carlton debuted its first 149-suite Evrima yacht cruise in 2021, with a second 224-cabin ship scheduled to begin sailing later this year. Its least expensive itinerary is currently $5,100 per person for a six-night voyage from Barbados to Puerto Rico in early 2025.

Interested in a hotelier-owned vacation at sea but don't want to pay the luxury price tag? Margaritaville's cruise is an affordable $75 for two nights.

Moscow is one of the world’s most opulent and fascinating capitals. Gaze at the city’s dazzling array of churches and monasteries, and explore the Kremlin and its Grand Palace , one of Moscow’s most iconic attractions - once home to Russians Tsars and communist leaders.

We've been running Moscow holidays since the 1980's, so whether you want see the best of the Soviet past, or the changing face of new Russia today - our experts can find the right tour for you.

Red Square is Moscow’s centrepiece displaying rich symbols of Russia’s turbulent past. St Basil’s Cathedral, one of the most famous pieces of architecture in the world, Lenin’s Mausoleum, and the prestigious GUM State Department Store are its main attractions. Travelling around Moscow couldn’t be easier – the metro is cheap, quick and reliable and most of the elaborate stations are attractions in themselves.

The city’s restaurant scene has come a long way so decide between Central Asian or Western European cuisine, often in surroundings recreating the Soviet past. No trip to this incredible destination would be complete without catching a world-class ballet or opera performance at the Bolshoi Theatre.

Regent Recommends

Just over three hours from the UK, Moscow makes an excellent city break destination for those who like their long weekends to be packed with history and culture. Take a ride on the opulent metro where grand chandeliers decorate cavernous stations, admire the iconic buildings of Red Square and perhaps catch a performance at the world renowned Bolshoi Theatre. For longer holidays consider pairing Moscow with a trip to the cultural capital in St Petersburg - less than four hours by train.
