Petra and Wadi Rum tours from Aqaba port will take you back to the magical time of Jordan. You will be picked up from Aqaba port by the cruise exit door. After that, you will be transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle for about 1.5 hours to the rose-red city of Petra. First started in the 6th century B.C. by Nabataean Arabs the city boasts beautiful facades carved directly into the walls of the mountainsides.  Arriving at the visitor’s center it’s a 700-meter walk to the Siq entrance which is an impressive 1200 meter long gorge of a kaleidoscope of colors the towers more than 80 meters above you. As you exit the chasm you’re instantly transfixed by the beauty of Petra, chosen as one of the New World Wonders, the place speaks for itself.  After your time at Petra, you make your way back through the Siq and head to lunch at a local restaurant. This 2 day 1 night tour of Wadi Rum and Petra is ideal for those who have visited Petra and Wadi Rum before. In Wadi Rum you will explore another area known as Al Kharazah which has spectacular rock bridges and formations. Enter Petra from the “back road” starting your guided trial from the Little Petra region to the Monastery.

You can choose to stay overnight in Petra or Wadi Rum on this tour. This tour can be done in reverse with visiting Petra on the 1st day.  It does not change the rates. We will advise you depending on your ship docking and departure times what is the best option for you. 

Either option for overnight stay are the same rate for 3* flat rate (Petra hotel or Bedouin Camp). If you choose to stay overnight in Wadi Rum in a standard luxury tent at a luxury camp the 4* high season rate applies for all the year. • 6:30 Pick up from centralized locations in Amman

• Transfer to Aqaba and enjoy some free time in Aqaba market to grab a cup of coffee or have lunch there
• Transfer to Wadi Rum
• Check in to Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum. Enjoy free time in Wadi Rum. Optional activities can be arranged on the spot including camel rides, hiking, and more
• Jeep Safari tour in Wadi Rum with your local Bedouin guide

Does this exist as a one-off tour where you join other passengers, or is it only private tours that are done? From doing something Internet sleuthing, I'm inclined to think the latter, but just wanted to confirm.
