B.I announces official tourdates for upcoming Europe tour 'LOVE OR DIE'

B.I is gearing up for his first Europe tour!

On July 17 KST, the rapper's agency 131  unveiled dates and cities for his Europe tour ' LOVE OR DIE .' B.I will begin to embark on his European tour starting from September 19 to October 19, with a total of 16 stops.

According to the poster, B.I will be meeting his fans in Utrecht on September 19, Luxembourg on September 21, Paris on September 23, Barcelona on September 25, Zurich on September 27, Milan on September 28, Warsaw on September 30, Tallinn on October 3, Helsinki on October 5, Stockholm on October 7, Oslo on October 8, Hamburg on October 11, Cologne on October 14, London on October 15, Brussels on October 18, and then the last stop in Munich on October 19.

Meanwhile, as previously reported, B.I has also announced that the second half of his ' Love or Loved (L.O.L) ' project will be released in October . Part one, which featured pre-release single " BTBT " and lead single " Keep Me Up ," was released last November.

B.I’s Asia tour has now added two additional dates and cities thanks to popular demand!

On February 21, B.I shared a new poster announcing the additional dates for his 2023 Asia tour “L.O.L THE HIDDEN STAGE.” According to the poster, B.I will hold additional performances in Taipei on March 12 and Macau on April 30.

B.I, also known as Kim Hanbin, has announced an Asia tour in March! The K-pop artist will be performing in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. Here are the dates and the locations of the upcoming tour.

All you need to know about B.I’s Asia tour

B.I’s Asia tour is called ‘L.O.L: The Hidden Stage’ and the rapper will be performing famous songs like BTBT and Tangerine from his album Love or Loved Part.1 . The tour kicks off on March 4, 2023, and ends on March 18, 2023. B.I shared the dates of the tour via his Instagram.

B.I’s first performance will be in Bangkok on March 4 at Thunderdome, followed by Manila on March 5 at PICC. The rapper will perform next on March 10 in Jakarta at the Kasablanka Hall and end his tour in Singapore on March 18 by performing live at the Singapore Expo.

This will be the first time that B.I will be performing live in Bangkok, before this, the Korean rapper had his first fan meeting in the city last year.

B.I is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer who is also famous for his dance moves. His real name is Kim Han-bin and he started as a trainee at YG Entertainment. He rose to fame as the leader of the K-pop boyband iKON, which he left in 2019. He remerged as a solo K-pop artist in 2021 when he released his first single Midnight Blue in March. It was followed by the release of an entire album which was called Waterfall in June same year. Love or Loved Part.1 is his first EP as a solo artist and that is where the name for the tour came from.

L.O.L stands for  Love or Loved which is the latest release by the artist and comprises famous tracks like BTBT, Tangerine and Endless Summers.

The sale of the tickets started on February 11. The tickets are divided into five categories:

• CAT 1: THB 6,900
• CAT 2 (Standing): THB 5,900
• CAT 3: THB 4,900
• CAT 4: THB 3,900
• CAT 5: THB 2,900

The category 1 holders will also get the chance to get a group picture with B.I. Another thing to note is that one person can not buy more than four tickets together and the minimum age for standing floor is 12 years old.

The prices of the ticket start at SGD 128 and can go up to SGD 288 which are the VIP tickets. The VIP passes will allow include a soundcheck pass, one goodbye session pass, an official poster, a chance to win a signed poster and a VIP lanyard.

The prices start at Peso 3,730 and go up till Peso 13,300 which are the VIP tickets.

The ‘L.O.L The Hidden Stage’ tour heads to Southeast Asia in March

B.I has announced a 2023 Asia tour with stops in Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta and Singapore – see the full list of dates and venues below.

The K-pop soloist will take the ‘L.O.L The Hidden Stage’ tour to Southeast Asia in March, kicking off the Thunderdome in Bangkok, Thailand on March 4. He’ll head to the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila the next day and then the Kasablanka Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia on March 10. For the final date announced so far, he’ll perform at the Singapore Expo on March 19.

Ticket information and other show details will be announced at a later date, record label 131 Label said on Instagram.

This marks B.I’s second time in Southeast Asia in under a year, following his fanmeets in Manila and Singapore last August . The former iKON leader closed out 2022 with his debut mini-album, ‘Love Or Loved Part.1’ , which dropped in November. It was led by the single ‘BTBT’, which made it to number 2 on NME’s list of the best K-pop songs of 2022.

As for the difficulties of doing a virtual show versus doing something in person, B.I. says he’s hopeful the live stream concert will still resonate with his fans. “The emotions and messages that I share through my music is a connection that is made by people, not by location, if that makes sense,” he says. “I still believe that if I give it my all, whether it be live or virtual, that the viewers will understand the messages I’m trying to convey through my performance.”

“It’s really been an amazing and unforgettable experience preparing for my full concert,” he adds, “so I hope that all of you will look forward to it.”

When Is the B.I. Live Stream Concert? Date, Time

B.I.’s live concert event takes place tomorrow, Saturday, October 2 at 11pm ET / 8pm PT. The singer and rapper will be performing live from Korea, with the concert being live streamed online across the world.

This is the first time B.I. will be performing his debut solo album, and organizers have dubbed this the “Waterfall Concert,” after his debut album of the same name .

B.I. will be joined by a number of friends and special guests for the virtual show, with performances and appearances from Pink Sweat$, Indonesian artist Afgan, Korean hip-hop trio Epik High, and singer Destiny Rogers. B.I. has collaborated with the latter three artists in recent months, having written and recorded the song “Acceptance Speech” off Epik High’s latest album, Epik High is Here , and having teamed up with Rogers and Tyla Yaweh on the hip-hop track, “Got It Like That,” earlier this spring.

The 24-year-old also just dropped a new collaboration with Afgan this week titled “Lost At Sea (illa illa 2).” The track also features UK-based EDM artist Bipolar Sunshine, and re-works B.I.’s hit song “illa illa” into a sweeping, tropical-tinged track.

First released in June, “illa illa” quickly broke YouTube records with 12.7 million views to its music video on the first day of release, making B.I the most-viewed male solo artist debut music video within the first 24 hours. The video currently has more than 23 million views and counting on YouTube.

“Lost At Sea (illa illa 2)” arrives one day ahead of B.I.’s live stream concert, so fans may get a taste of the remix during Afgan’s set in the show.

The ticket selling for the concert will open on February 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM through SM Tickets outlets nationwide and online via www.smtickets.com.

Divided into four sections, PH IDs can choose from VIP, Gold, Silver, or Bronze. The ticket prices are as follows:

• VIP: PHP 12,500
• Gold: PHP 9,500
• Silver: 5,500
• Bronze: 3,500

Price is exclusive of ticketing charges.

Here is everything you need to know about the K-pop girl group Blackpink from its members to its milestones. 

Who is Blackpink?

Blackpink is a four member K-pop girl group under YG Entertainment. Comprised of members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé, the group debuted in 2016 with the song “ Boombayah ." The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard world digital song sales chart. 

Throughout the years, Blackpink has released various albums and singles, including " Ddu-du Ddu-du " and " Kill This Love ," which helped push the girl group into international stardom.

At the time of release, " Ddu-du Ddu-du " became the most-viewed music video in its first 24 hours by a K-pop group. The music video was also the  first-ever song by a K-pop group to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube. After its release, " Kill This Love " was the the most-viewed music video in its first 24 hours, gaining 56.7 million views. 

In 2020, the group was the subject of Netflix's first K-pop documentary, " BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky ." 

Since debut, Blackpink has had many collaborations, including " Kiss and Make Up " with Dua Lipa, " Sour Candy " with Lady Gaga, " Bet You Wanna " with Cardi B and " Ice Cream " with Selena Gomez. 

Blackpink has toured across the globe. The group made stops in the U.S. during the "In Your Area" world tour in 2019 and the " Born Pink " world tour in 2022.

On April 16, it was announced Blackpink would return to the states for four stadiums shows.  During the " Born Pink Encore ," the group will perform in: 

• East Rutherford, New Jersey – MetLife Stadium (Saturday, Aug. 12) 
• Las Vegas – Allegiant Stadium (Friday, Aug. 18) 
• San Fransisco – Oracle Park (Tuesday, Aug. 22) 
• Los Angeles – Dodgers Stadium (Saturday, Aug. 26)

How many members are in Blackpink?

There are four members in Blackpink: 

• Jennie (Full name: Jennie Kim) Born Jan. 16, 1996 in Seoul, South Korea. 
• Jisoo (Full name: Kim Ji-soo) Born Jan. 3, 1995 in Gunpo, South Korea. 
• Lisa (Full name: Lalisa Manobal [also spelled Manoban]) Born March 27, 1997 in Buriram, Thailand. 
• Rosé (Full name: Roseanne Park, Korean name: Park Chae-young) Born Feb. 11, 1997 in Auckland, New Zealand. 

Originally, Blackpink was supposed to debut with nine members but this was later changed. 

Why are they called Blackpink? 

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in 2020, the group explained the reasoning behind its name.

It "kind of felt like those two colors represented us the most ‘cause we're very girly but at the same time we're very savage too," said Rosé in the interview. 

Initially, the group had the tentative name "Pink Punk," which was created by YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk. This was later changed to Blackpink, according to a 2017 radio interview .  

What are Blackpink fans called? 

The fandom name for Blackpink is called "Blink."

The name derives from Blackpink. The "BL" comes from black and "INK" from pink, meaning that the fans start and end with Blackpink. 

Blackpink makes history as Coachella headliners

Blackpink made history by becoming the first Korean act to headline Coachella after it was announced the group would perform  at the festival in 2023.

Alongside headliners Bad Bunny and Frank Ocean, Blackpink is one of three main headliners for the famous two-weekend festival, which took place April 14 through 16 and April 21 through 23 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. 

This is the second time Blackpink performed at Coachella. In 2019, the group made history by becoming the first female K-pop idol group to perform at the festival .

Blackpink milestones

Blackpink has broke various records and has received many awards and accolades since its debut.

In 2016, Blackpink won the Rookie Singer Award at the Asia Artist Awards, Best of Next Female Artist at the MAMA Awards and Best New Artist at the Melon Music Awards. Blackpink won the award for Best Female Group at the MAMA Awards in 2020 and 2022, respectively. Additionally, the group won Artist of the Year at the 2023 Hanteo Music Awards. 

The group has released two studio albums, one compilation album, three EPs, four live albums and four single albums. The group's second studio album " Born Pink " debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart , marking the first No.1 for an all-female group since 2008 . Blackpink's first studio album " The Album " peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. 

Nine of Blackpink's songs have reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group's collaboration with Selena Gomez "Ice Cream" peaked the highest at No. 13 . 

Blackpink holds the title of many "firsts" within the music industry. The group was the first girl group to top the Billboard Artist 100 chart. Blackpink is the first female Korean act to receive a certification from the Recording Industry Association of America with the 2018 single "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du," which was certified gold. 

The group is also the first Korean girl group to win a MTV Video Music Award, taking home the Song of Summer award for " How You Like That " in 2020. 

Additionally, in 2019 , Blackpink was the first female Korean group to be featured on Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia. The group was also named Time's  Entertainer of the Year in 2022 .

Former K-Pop Idol Says Only “Girls And Gays” Are Nice To Him While On Tour

As time has passed, more idols who debuted in K-Pop’s older generations have returned to music in new ways. This includes debuting in new groups, like CLC ‘s Yeeun , who re-debuted in the fifth-generation group EL7Z UP  or returning to their solo careers, like WOODZ , who released his first mini-album following X1 ‘s disbandment.

Recently, one such former idol caught attention for a statement he made while on tour.

Singer-songwriter from20  originally debuted in the boy group BIGSTAR  in 2012 under his real name Raehwan , going by Larry for his solo releases. After the group’s disbandment in 2019, from20 and artist HELLO GLOOM ( IMFACT ‘s Ungjae ) co-established the label now known as WAYBETTER .

A few months ago, it was announced that the two artists would embark on their first European tour  Fast On The Highway , making concert stops in Warsaw, Cologne, and Paris across April.

Following the tour, a fan shared a clip from the Amsterdam fan event’s Q&A, where from20 was speaking in English about some of their experiences. During the clip, from20 mentions that there were some “bad things ,” during their European tour, explaining that he felt racism for the first time there.

Actually, it’s a little bad things, its a little bad things. You know, this isn’t my first time in Europe and like I felt for the first time, like racism like walking [crowd makes sounds] no, no, but it was really little thing. — from20

He continues, saying that after about two days in Europe he and HELLO GLOOM realized that only “girls and gays” acted kind to them.
