Taken here by French friends as a treat and wow was it good. Even though we didn't have a table reservation until 10pm the view and the service was excellent. We opted for the Grand Ecran menu which comes with a liberal serving of quality... champagne and wine included in the price. Best lobster soup starter ever, my sea bass was good not great but the tasting desert selection was just fantastic. Not too stuffy but great quality all round. More

I went to this restaurant on February 27 for the last romantic dinner of my vacation in Paris, the location is wonderful you can see all of Paris illuminated including the most beautiful monuments such as the Eiffel Tower. the service was very friendly and... polite, nice waiter and very knowledgeable also on the tourist attractions of Paris. the entrance was a bit difficult to find but once we found it, the doormen welcomed us and accompanied us to take the elevator and made us go up to the forty-sixth floor, the entrance was very clean and also the hall lift and impeccable bathrooms. I chose to take the card menu but it is also possible to choose the fixed menu, where there are many types of dishes and you have the possibility to choose a dish for each course. we took both meat and fish dishes and both were delicious and also beautiful to look at. for dessert we took their most popular dish where you can find many small portions of desserts in order to taste everything. the price was balanced both for the location and for the quality of the food, 3 courses each plus 2 glasses of wine we spent a total of 120 euros each. all great More

Just back from the restaurant. 5* views from panoramic windows, 4* service, 3* food and 2* wine list. Adya, Mahmadu and Richard did their best serving us. Nice people to chat with. However, during our 3hrs lunch nobody removed even once the bread crumbles covering... our tablecloth, so the staff is not really trained for 5* service. We had sea bass and turbot for mains, both were mediocre at best. Wine list was unbelievably poor. No, I would not recommend eating here, as the food quality doesn’t match the high prices in the menu. More

We booked this place directly on the website, asking if we could get a table next to the windows to enjoy the view because it was our first year marriage anniversary. We arrived there and we were put as far as possible from the window.... We told the Restaurant's waiters and they told us they would let us know if it was possible to do something (note that there were 3 empty tables next to the window, and we arrived at the last time available for the reservation, so this means there was noone else coming). We started ordering food and wine. The waiter who came with the wine, after pouring it in our glasses, dropped the bottle in the ice far from our table, and I had to go pick it to take it close to our table because the waiter was M.I.A.). We then asked again (after 1 hour and more tables free) if we could move next to the window, and yet again we were ignored. Food was overpriced, shrimps were not cooked, TBone steak wasn't good at all for that price. Absolutely awful experience, it looks like these guys have no clue how to run a restaurant with that level of price in that area. You definitely get a better quality service at McDonald's. Never again. It's such a shame that this beautiful locations is run by this guys. Want a suggestion? Go there, take a few picture, and go get food in some other place. More

Except for the glorious view of Paris, this restaurant has zero charm. I attended a business dinner on a Tuesday evening and it was packed with similar groups, families and couples. The service was adequate - the floor manager was very attentive while the wait... staff itself were rather disorganized. Cocktails were completely ordinary, except for the prices. The menu ho-hum, nothing special and presentation was terrible. Each plate looked like second-class hotel food, with all the colorful garnishes….With that said, the veal was very tender and tasty. The rest, including a very nondescript dessert for 14 euros, was blah. The worse of it all, however, was the decor: blaring white lights that kill the atmosphere and prevent a decent view of the city due to the glare, flooring and furnishings that have not been updated since the place opened in the ‘70s (the grimy gray rug was very off putting) and the mix of loud disco music was anything but subtle. Overall, a disappointment. If you’d like to dine while enjoying a rooftop view of Paris, go to George’s at the Pompidou Centre. More

Breathtaking view over Paris and outstanding food. We didn t receive the table we reserved. By the windiw with the oerfect view. Our table for two was very small and the space we had nade it almost impossible to get out of your jacket. Staff... to bring food was very ignorant , had no clue, just bringing plates without comment. Atmosphere was like a hospital cantine, but with 300 Euros for me and my hubby, way too expensive. More

This place should be something around 3.75 points. You get a stunning view of Paris you won’t get anywhere else. The food is not bad, especially if you go a la carte, the desert was flawless so the lobster was really good indeed. However the... meat and fish were missing more intensive taste. I understand it is difficult with the concept, but one would expect bit more (price level fits the unique location). And just small tip: in spring and fall, if you come at 7PM for the dinner, you will see the Paris by day and night in one package. There were few things considering improvement: 1) I was asked 3 times to confirm the reservation on the same day (via App, via email and via SMS). We came to have a lunch and enjoy the view. My friend had celebrated a birthday there before and was looking forward to revisit the restaurant. We were very disappointed the foods was below par. No flavor, the rice of his risotto - side of... the filet de boeuf -was rancid - he is a chef so he knows what he is talking about. The porc dish was nothing exceptional and also lacked flavor. I would say the plates fabulously decorated and the dishes were extremely pretty but I believe the most important is the taste of the food not how they look. The coup de grace was a cafe with an under up that was chipped. For the price although we understand we are paying for the view I think they could a lot better and we were all very disappointed. The restaurant located in a high rise of Montparnasse. When you arrive you will have to pass metal detector, because it's also offices in this building. For restaurant there is separate elevator. Very easy to navigate. Had amazing time with my mom as a last... night in Paris dinner with amazing view. Pre-set menu was only 74 eur and it has a good options like lobster bisque, foie gras, branzino and steak! I think for a place with such a view it's a good deal. We used to pay in simple cafes 50 eur pp with no view. We had a reservation in advance and I ask for a special "window table" for quest from USA (me lol) They were very nice and seated us promptly. We selected drinks and pre set menu. My foie gras pate was very good with fig jam (just what I expected) My mom took lobster bisque which was very good too. For entree I selected branzino and my mom chose steak. Both dishes were very good. After we finished our main course (it was around 8 pm) We got first Eiffel tower evening lightning. It was spectacular and very memorable! We got our desserts gelato and pavlova dessert, both were very good ! I think it's a great place for a spectacular view that you will not get anywhere else in Paris. More

We did the more expensive meal. Our food was good, our champagne glass was not very often left empty and the people tried very hard to speak English for us to understand. My only complaint is by sitting next to the window they have smaller... windows and old bumpers and it is hard to see from some seats. We had a partial obstructed view of tower but got to watch is sparkle twice. More

It was not a pleasant experience at all. When you make the reservation you can chose either a fixed menu or “open menu”. That’s what we chose. There was availability at 22 pm. We picked that and we went there having already eaten something. Anyway... we ordered a dessert and a full bottle of wine. The waiter first was hurrying us to pick the menu because the kitchen was closing (we went 22 pm because that was the availability then kitchen should be full open if they allow reservations at that time). After we ordered the dessert and the wine the waiter told us “this is a restaurant… you won’t order any main dish?”. I can understand the concept of a restaurant, but nowhere when making the reservation tells you that you have to eat a full menu mandatory. Again, we ordered a bottle of wine which of course was not cheap. I have lived in Paris and people are great except in this places where they expect tourists to take your money away. They can be so rude. And btw: the restaurant was empty. Not even that they were full crowded. Disappointing and would never ever recommend to anyone. They view can be ok but if the experience doesn’t come along with it, there are PLENTY of beautiful viewing spots in Paris. Not worth it. More

We thank the restaurant management and staff (and especially our server Afruza Rah) immensely for making our New Year’s night, our daughter’s 13th birthday (also on New Year’s Day) and last night in Paris a truly wonderful, memorable and beautiful celebration. We recommend the restaurant... highly for special events or just a casual date or family night out. We has made reservations online easily and reconfirmed a couple of times. The restaurant was amazing in accommodating all our requests – from dietary restrictions to special orders to most importantly, the best table at the restaurant at a window with a direct spectacular view of the Eifel Tower and city. Yes, the view was totally precious and unbeatable but the high quality of the food, wine, desserts and special attentive service made the entire combination of the experience most wonderful. As mentioned above, Arfuza was caring and responsive in every respect. The elegant charm of the room was captivating. If we lived in Paris, we could see ourselves holding many special occasions there. Again, thank you! See you next time. More

The view is beautiful. We asked for a table by the window but we were told it was reserved. They seem to sit everyone at the same time. You can order a la carte or with the pre-fixe menu. They have two pre-fixe menus. One... for $75 euro it comes with appetizer, main and dessert. The other is $138 and comes with appetizer,main, champagne and wine. Dessert is a la carte. We choose the more expensive one because we were celebrating our Anniversary. We were offered one champagne and one glass of wine. We asked 4 people before getting another glass of wine. Then they put the bottle on our table after we finished dinner and made some remark about Americans. The food was good but I would never get this pre-fixe again. Choose food a la carte or the cheaper version. You will not get any special treatment even though you are spending more than double the other patrons. Just beware the Lobster soup is cold. More

Made reservations for dinner menu and window table. Top floor of the tallest building in Paris. Restaurant interior is well decorated and elegant. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was good although a bit slow in coming out but it gave us more opportunity to... enjoy the incredible views of Paris and the beautiful lights through out the city. More

Vista stupenda anche se un pezzo di ferro sulla finestra la infastidisce . L’unica cosa positiva di questo posto è la vista. Ma nonostante avessimo scelto il menù più caro per avere la vista sulla vetrata garantita c’è il montante delle finestre giusto ad altezza occhi non appena ti accomodi quindi vedi un bel pezzo di ferro, tanto... vale sedersi dietro sul piano rialzato per non avere impedimenti visivi. Passando al menu, non ci aspettavamo nulla di super ma nemmeno così male per il costo esorbitante del menù fisso. Combinazione di pietanze senza senso tra di loro ma soprattutto cucinate male! Un pezzo di bistecca di pork duro come una suola di una scarpa. Ma se questo non basta il servizio è ancora peggio! Prenotazione alle ore 10 seduti alle ore 10.20 perché il tavolo non era pronto. Non hanno preso le giacche e abbiamo dovuto tenercele sulla sedia dietro dove i cappotti strisciavano per terra. Dopo aver ordinato arrivano i piatti e il cameriere chiedeva di chi fossero non parlando il francese ci è venuto difficile capire cosa fossero ( dovrebbero saperlo loro le posizioni dei piatti non essendo ad una mensa). Per sbaglio si è rotto un bicchiere e rimasto il vetro sul tavolo per più di mezz’ora! I dessert non voglio nemmeno commentarli. Tutto per Un totale di 580€ buttati via. Assolutamente sconsigliato! Il posto è indubbiamente bellissimo, con una vista mozzafiato , niente da dire. Ma PIENAMENTE DELUSA, dico solo che sono andata via all’antipasto. Arriviamo, ci fanno un tavolo con lo stipite della finestra davanti con vista oscurata , chiedo gentilmente che mi venga cambiato il tavolo visto che in due avremmo speso quasi 300€, ciò non è possibile perché mi dicono che i tavoli erano già chiusi. Prenoto alle 21.30 mi dicono di scegliere velocemente le portate che la cucina avrebbe chiuso a breve , va bene nessun problema ancora, ci dicono che il bere sarebbe stato illimitato e ci fanno scegliere tra 1 antipasto, 1 piatto principale e 1 dolce. Scegliamo il tris di salmoni… ci arrivano 3 strisce microscopiche di plastica, non sembrava neanche salmone, piccole e raggrinzite con un gusto discutibile, con una sorta di purea, ghiacciata che sembrava regurgito di gatto, con un gusto tremendo, insalata palesemente vecchia , appassita… (allego foto) dato che quello sarebbe stato 1 dei 2 piatti che avremmo mangiato, decido di dire al cameriere che il cibo era immangiabile che con una spesa del genere ci aspettavamo un altro tipo di servizio, ci dicono che non potevano fare niente. Alchè decidiamo di alzarci e di andare via. Una rapina a mano armata a mangiare cose che si trovano in ristoranti di periferia, per niente consigliato. Per essere andati via da un posto del genere, significa che era veramente immangiabile , sono abituata a mangiare qualsiasi cosa, ma quello veramente ha deluso completamente le mie aspettative. Taken here by French friends as a treat and wow was it good. Even though we didn't have a table reservation until 10pm the view and the service was excellent. We opted for the Grand Ecran menu which comes with a liberal serving of quality... champagne and wine included in the price. Best lobster soup starter ever, my sea bass was good not great but the tasting desert selection was just fantastic. Not too stuffy but great quality all round. More

I went to this restaurant on February 27 for the last romantic dinner of my vacation in Paris, the location is wonderful you can see all of Paris illuminated including the most beautiful monuments such as the Eiffel Tower. the service was very friendly and... polite, nice waiter and very knowledgeable also on the tourist attractions of Paris. the entrance was a bit difficult to find but once we found it, the doormen welcomed us and accompanied us to take the elevator and made us go up to the forty-sixth floor, the entrance was very clean and also the hall lift and impeccable bathrooms. I chose to take the card menu but it is also possible to choose the fixed menu, where there are many types of dishes and you have the possibility to choose a dish for each course. we took both meat and fish dishes and both were delicious and also beautiful to look at. for dessert we took their most popular dish where you can find many small portions of desserts in order to taste everything. the price was balanced both for the location and for the quality of the food, 3 courses each plus 2 glasses of wine we spent a total of 120 euros each. all great More

Just back from the restaurant. 5* views from panoramic windows, 4* service, 3* food and 2* wine list. Adya, Mahmadu and Richard did their best serving us. Nice people to chat with. However, during our 3hrs lunch nobody removed even once the bread crumbles covering... our tablecloth, so the staff is not really trained for 5* service. We had sea bass and turbot for mains, both were mediocre at best. Wine list was unbelievably poor. No, I would not recommend eating here, as the food quality doesn’t match the high prices in the menu. More

We booked this place directly on the website, asking if we could get a table next to the windows to enjoy the view because it was our first year marriage anniversary. We arrived there and we were put as far as possible from the window.... We told the Restaurant's waiters and they told us they would let us know if it was possible to do something (note that there were 3 empty tables next to the window, and we arrived at the last time available for the reservation, so this means there was noone else coming). We started ordering food and wine. The waiter who came with the wine, after pouring it in our glasses, dropped the bottle in the ice far from our table, and I had to go pick it to take it close to our table because the waiter was M.I.A.). We then asked again (after 1 hour and more tables free) if we could move next to the window, and yet again we were ignored. Food was overpriced, shrimps were not cooked, TBone steak wasn't good at all for that price. Absolutely awful experience, it looks like these guys have no clue how to run a restaurant with that level of price in that area. You definitely get a better quality service at McDonald's. Never again. It's such a shame that this beautiful locations is run by this guys. Want a suggestion? Go there, take a few picture, and go get food in some other place. More

Except for the glorious view of Paris, this restaurant has zero charm. I attended a business dinner on a Tuesday evening and it was packed with similar groups, families and couples. The service was adequate - the floor manager was very attentive while the wait... staff itself were rather disorganized. Cocktails were completely ordinary, except for the prices. The menu ho-hum, nothing special and presentation was terrible. Each plate looked like second-class hotel food, with all the colorful garnishes….With that said, the veal was very tender and tasty. The rest, including a very nondescript dessert for 14 euros, was blah. The worse of it all, however, was the decor: blaring white lights that kill the atmosphere and prevent a decent view of the city due to the glare, flooring and furnishings that have not been updated since the place opened in the ‘70s (the grimy gray rug was very off putting) and the mix of loud disco music was anything but subtle. Overall, a disappointment. If you’d like to dine while enjoying a rooftop view of Paris, go to George’s at the Pompidou Centre. More

Breathtaking view over Paris and outstanding food. We didn t receive the table we reserved. By the windiw with the oerfect view. Our table for two was very small and the space we had nade it almost impossible to get out of your jacket. Staff... to bring food was very ignorant , had no clue, just bringing plates without comment. Atmosphere was like a hospital cantine, but with 300 Euros for me and my hubby, way too expensive. More

This place should be something around 3.75 points. You get a stunning view of Paris you won’t get anywhere else. The food is not bad, especially if you go a la carte, the desert was flawless so the lobster was really good indeed. However the... meat and fish were missing more intensive taste. I understand it is difficult with the concept, but one would expect bit more (price level fits the unique location). And just small tip: in spring and fall, if you come at 7PM for the dinner, you will see the Paris by day and night in one package. There were few things considering improvement: 1) I was asked 3 times to confirm the reservation on the same day (via App, via email and via SMS). When arriving, got confused with the people waiting in line without reservation 2) Please, take dirty plates directly to the kitchen and not clean/ stove them in the restaurant 3) Try to change the worn carpet, ruins otherwise nice and clean interior More

We came to have a lunch and enjoy the view. My friend had celebrated a birthday there before and was looking forward to revisit the restaurant. We were very disappointed the foods was below par. No flavor, the rice of his risotto - side of... the filet de boeuf -was rancid - he is a chef so he knows what he is talking about. The porc dish was nothing exceptional and also lacked flavor. I would say the plates fabulously decorated and the dishes were extremely pretty but I believe the most important is the taste of the food not how they look. The coup de grace was a cafe with an under up that was chipped. For the price although we understand we are paying for the view I think they could a lot better and we were all very disappointed. The restaurant located in a high rise of Montparnasse. When you arrive you will have to pass metal detector, because it's also offices in this building. For restaurant there is separate elevator. Very easy to navigate. Had amazing time with my mom as a last... night in Paris dinner with amazing view. Pre-set menu was only 74 eur and it has a good options like lobster bisque, foie gras, branzino and steak! I think for a place with such a view it's a good deal. We used to pay in simple cafes 50 eur pp with no view. We had a reservation in advance and I ask for a special "window table" for quest from USA (me lol) They were very nice and seated us promptly. We selected drinks and pre set menu. My foie gras pate was very good with fig jam (just what I expected) My mom took lobster bisque which was very good too. For entree I selected branzino and my mom chose steak. Both dishes were very good. After we finished our main course (it was around 8 pm) We got first Eiffel tower evening lightning. It was spectacular and very memorable! We got our desserts gelato and pavlova dessert, both were very good ! I think it's a great place for a spectacular view that you will not get anywhere else in Paris. More

We did the more expensive meal. Our food was good, our champagne glass was not very often left empty and the people tried very hard to speak English for us to understand. My only complaint is by sitting next to the window they have smaller... windows and old bumpers and it is hard to see from some seats. We had a partial obstructed view of tower but got to watch is sparkle twice. More

It was not a pleasant experience at all. When you make the reservation you can chose either a fixed menu or “open menu”. That’s what we chose. There was availability at 22 pm. We picked that and we went there having already eaten something. Anyway... we ordered a dessert and a full bottle of wine. The waiter first was hurrying us to pick the menu because the kitchen was closing (we went 22 pm because that was the availability then kitchen should be full open if they allow reservations at that time). After we ordered the dessert and the wine the waiter told us “this is a restaurant… you won’t order any main dish?”. I can understand the concept of a restaurant, but nowhere when making the reservation tells you that you have to eat a full menu mandatory. Again, we ordered a bottle of wine which of course was not cheap. I have lived in Paris and people are great except in this places where they expect tourists to take your money away. They can be so rude. And btw: the restaurant was empty. Not even that they were full crowded. Disappointing and would never ever recommend to anyone. They view can be ok but if the experience doesn’t come along with it, there are PLENTY of beautiful viewing spots in Paris. Not worth it. More

We thank the restaurant management and staff (and especially our server Afruza Rah) immensely for making our New Year’s night, our daughter’s 13th birthday (also on New Year’s Day) and last night in Paris a truly wonderful, memorable and beautiful celebration. We recommend the restaurant... highly for special events or just a casual date or family night out. We has made reservations online easily and reconfirmed a couple of times. The restaurant was amazing in accommodating all our requests – from dietary restrictions to special orders to most importantly, the best table at the restaurant at a window with a direct spectacular view of the Eifel Tower and city. Yes, the view was totally precious and unbeatable but the high quality of the food, wine, desserts and special attentive service made the entire combination of the experience most wonderful. As mentioned above, Arfuza was caring and responsive in every respect. The elegant charm of the room was captivating. If we lived in Paris, we could see ourselves holding many special occasions there. Again, thank you! See you next time. More

The view is beautiful. We asked for a table by the window but we were told it was reserved. They seem to sit everyone at the same time. You can order a la carte or with the pre-fixe menu. They have two pre-fixe menus. One... for $75 euro it comes with appetizer, main and dessert. The other is $138 and comes with appetizer,main, champagne and wine. Dessert is a la carte. We choose the more expensive one because we were celebrating our Anniversary. We were offered one champagne and one glass of wine. We asked 4 people before getting another glass of wine. Then they put the bottle on our table after we finished dinner and made some remark about Americans. The food was good but I would never get this pre-fixe again. Choose food a la carte or the cheaper version. You will not get any special treatment even though you are spending more than double the other patrons. Just beware the Lobster soup is cold. More

Made reservations for dinner menu and window table. Top floor of the tallest building in Paris. Restaurant interior is well decorated and elegant. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was good although a bit slow in coming out but it gave us more opportunity to... enjoy the incredible views of Paris and the beautiful lights through out the city. More

The staff, in general, were accommodating and friendly, with the exception of one young bartender, who although he professionally tried to hide his apparent disinterest in being there, clearly wanted to be somewhere else – but maybe he was just having a bad day. The ceiling of the bar/restaurant is covered with tiny points of light creating a starry sky effect and, following this theme, their drinks menu offers a range of astronomically named specialty cocktails (Eclipse, Jupiter, Orian, etc.) at 16 Euros each. They were all heavy on fruit juice, of which raspberry, orange and grapefruit were fresh – the rest of the larger selection, bottled. Although I didn’t try one of these, they seemed to be a popular choice as the majority of the cocktails I saw being made were these fancy and brightly colored concoctions. Many people were opting for non-alcoholic options of soft drinks and juices, which ranged from 8.50 to 9.50 Euros. Otherwise, the clientele seemed to be sticking strictly with champagne or wine. And, that’s probably what I’ll do on my next visit. While my martini wasn’t bad, this venue is more appropriate for a bit of bubbly.

I have heard that Ciel de Paris is a nice place to spend a good time because of the excellent service and delicious food. However, they should change the decoration.
