ICE NINE KILLS and IN THIS MOMENT Announce Dates For U.S. Co-Headline Tour

Prepare for a night of sonic sorcery and hellacious horror as two of the most creative and other-worldly forces in modern metal, Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment , announce the Kiss of Death US Tour . The two bands will join forces to bring their spectacular and highly acclaimed live shows together later this year as they co-headline 17 cities across the country, starting on November 3rd in Gary, IN and ending on December 2nd in Wheeling, WV. The Kiss of Death Tour will also feature special guests Avatar and New Years Day.

Tickets for the Kiss Of Death Tour will be available starting with Citi and Artist pre-sales beginning today at 12 PM ET. Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning Friday, July 21 at 10 AM local time at livenation.com .

Citi is the official card of the Kiss Of Death Tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning today at 12 PM ET until Thursday, July 20 at 10 PM local time through the Citi Entertainment program. Ice Nine Kills, In This Moment Announce 2023 Tour

The new wave shock rockers will be joined by Avatar and New Years Day

This fall, Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment are teaming up for a fall run. The Kiss of Death Tour kicks off on November 3 at Hard Rock Live in Gary, Indiana and wraps up on December 2 at Wesbanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia. Avatar and New Years Day will serve as special guests.

“Psychos – we’ll be ending 2023 with the soon to be legendary Kiss of Death Tour,” Ice Nine Kills said in a statement. “Join Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment, with special guests Avatar and New Years Day, as we creep through the country for the final time this year!”

Additionally, In This Moment confirmed their new album GODMODE arrives on October 27. The album contains the track “Damaged” which features a special guest vocal appearance from Ice Nine Kills’ Spencer Charnas. Watch the music video for the record’s lead single “The Purge” now HERE .

Since the release of their latest album, 2021’s Welcome to Horrorwood: The Silver Scream 2 , the band has enjoyed an explosive rise. The album hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart, and cracked the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. They opened for Metallica on select dates and did three separate runs of the Trinity of Terror Tour alongside contemporaries Black Veil Brides and Motionless in White.

On August 4, Ice Nine Kills will rejoin Metallica on the highly anticipated North American leg of their  M72 World Tour .

In 2020, In This Moment released their latest album Mother  [Roadrunner Records] with longtime producer Kevin Churko [Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch]. The record featured the GRAMMY® Award-nominated single “The In-Between .” Last year, In This Moment released  Blood 1983  [BMG], a reimagined EP commemorating the tenth anniversary of their gold-selling album  Blood . Most recently, their song “I Would Die For You” appear on the soundtrack for the box office smash  John Wick: Chapter 4 starring Keanu Reeves.

Avatar recently wrapped up a U.S. headlining tour. Their latest LP Dance Devil Dance arrived back in February via Thirty Tigers. Last August, New Years Day released “Hurts Like Hell” – their first new song in three years. The band’s last full-length studio effort was 2019’s Unbreakable .

Ice Nine Kills, In This Moment to embark on co-headline tour

Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment will team on the fall 2023 Kiss of Death Tour. They will be joined by special guests Avatar and New Years Day.

The co-headline run, which will hit 17 cities across the country, will kick off Nov. 3 in Gary, Indiana, and end Dec. 2 in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Tickets will be available starting with Citi and artist pre-sales at noon ET Tuesday, July 18. Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale starting at 10 a.m. local time Friday, July 21, at  livenation.com .

Today, two of the most creative and other-worldly forces in modern metal have, Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment , have announced their U.S. co-headlining tour.

Dubbed the “Kiss of Death” tour, the two band will join forces to bring their independently acclaimed and spectacular live shows to 17 cities across the U.S. this fall. Kicking off on November 3rd in Gary, Indiana and running until December 2nd when it wraps up in Wheeling, West Virginia, the “Kiss of Death” tour will feature special guests Avatar and New Years Day .

Tickets for the Kiss Of Death Tour are currently available starting with Citi and Artist pre-sales . Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning Friday, July 21st at 10 AM local time  here .

ORLANDO, Fla. (CBS12) — On the thirteenth stop of their 2023 Kiss of Death Tour, Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment performed in Orlando.

Photos taken by CBS12 News photographer Karam Aro show the two bands performing at the Central Florida Fairgrounds on Saturday, November 18.

Crowds of people cheered for both bands as they performed their hit songs like In This Moment's "Blood" from their Blood album. Ice Nine Kills performed "Hip to Be Scared" from their The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood album.

The tour also featured special guests such as Avatar and New Years Day.

Their music style is described as a take on modern metal and the overall aesthetic appeals to a gothic audience. The bands delivered with strong visual performances that included pyrotechnics and bewitching outfits.

IN FLAMES Announces May 2024 U.S. Tour With GATECREEPER And CREEPING DEATH

Swedish metallers IN FLAMES are set to infiltrate the U.S. for a spring headlining tour with special guests GATECREEPER and CREEPING DEATH . The skull-crushing lineup will kick off the excursion on May 1 in Portland, Maine and will wrap it up on May 26 in Dallas, Texas.

Commenting on the tour, IN FLAMES vocalist Anders Fridén says: "We are very excited to have these two killer bands, GATECREEPER and CREEPING DEATH , on this run. I foresee a night of huge riffs, blast beats, headbanging, moshpitting, people losing their minds and more. Come on down, lets have a good time!!!"

GATECREEPER frontman Chase Mason adds: "We are very excited to tour with IN FLAMES . We have been fans for a long time and got the opportunity to meet and play with the band last summer. IN FLAMES has been a huge influence on our newer material and hitting the road with them after working on our record is an ideal scenario for us."

IN FLAMES is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Foregone" , which was released in February 2023 via Nuclear Blast . According to a press release, the LP "combines the greatest aggressive, metallic, and melodic strengths of their landmark records with the seasoned songwriting of their postmodern era."

"Foregone" was the second IN FLAMES album with Paul and drummer Tanner Wayne , the first with ex- MEGADETH guitarist Chris Broderick , and the third with Grammy -winning producer Howard Benson ( MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE , THREE DAYS GRACE ). Mike Plotnikoff ( ALL THAT REMAINS , WARBRINGER ) engineered at Benson 's West Valley Recording Studios . Joe Rickard ( 10 YEARS , STARSET , DIAMANTE ),who played drums for IN FLAMES from 2016 through 2019, handled mixing duties.

Last year, IN FLAMES parted ways with bassist Bryce Paul and replaced him with Liam Wilson ( THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN ).

Wilson made his live debut with IN FLAMES on June 7, 2023 at the Release Athens festival in Athens, Greece.

In a recent interview with Jai That Aussie Metal Guy , Fridén spoke about the evolution of the IN FLAMES sound. He said: "I am aware that not all people follow us from album to album, even though there's a majority that do. And some people don't understand why we're trying this or that. But it's just like… For me as a songwriter or being part of the band, I need to evolve, I need to do something else. I can't just stay in the same place all the time. And that's what I love about music. And that's why I joined a metal band or wanted to be part of a metal band in the beginning because I thought everything was free — you can do whatever the fuck you wanted. It was just later in life I realized, 'Oh, there's all these rules.' I didn't sign up for these rules. Even though I appreciate the people care that much, but I don't wanna be part of those rules. I'm fine with people having rules — 'I'm into this' and 'I only listen to this' — and that's fucking cool. Do whatever you want. But I didn't sign up on those rules. So I wanna do and I wanna take IN FLAMES to a lot of different sonic territories, even though I don't wanna ever lose the sense of melody in writing and so on."

He continued: "I think through all our albums, there's this underlying theme of melody and aggression, even though it appears on every album in slightly different ways. But I really feel we have a sound that you can recognize, which, to me, it's the most important thing. You hear it, 'Oh, that's IN FLAMES .' People don't say, 'Oh, well, that sounds like AC/DC , but it's IN FLAMES .' It is IN FLAMES — no matter what it is, good or bad, whatever, it is IN FLAMES . So, yeah, at the end of the day, it's not going to be an album, a song. It's gonna be, like, we made something out these different chords and it sounds like IN FLAMES and we created a sound that traveled the world, which, to me, it's rewarding to know that."

Bam Margera 's clearing the air about why his UK tour got the axe -- and while some have suspected it's all about him falling off the wagon ... he's saying he's clean and sober.

Here's the deal ... Bam's been across the pond lately for a string of Q&A gigs he'd booked through a promoter -- where he was scheduled to talk to audiences ... all of which recently came to a screeching halt after the peeps he was working with announced the rest of his appearances were cancelled.

There's been a lot of accusations and drama brewing in the background this past week -- with allegations that Bam was acting erratic and rolling with a new crew of misfits.

Some online -- especially on Reddit -- have been claiming Bam's been indulging in booze and drugs again ... but he hopped online Thursday to deny all that, insisting not only is he alcohol-free ... but he had a perfectly good reason for canceling his shows in the UK.

Long story short ... Bam says he re-injured his knee, and that these shows are gonna get rebooked -- so it's no harm, no foul in his mind.

He does allude to some kind of physical confrontation between the people Bam's been staying with and the promoters ... but he says he wasn't in the mix for that -- so he doesn't think he did anything wrong. He also acknowledges he and his girlfriend have been fighting.

Last but not least ... Bam shoots down any notion he's been under the influence lately, pointing to the fact he's drinking tea in the video. Remember, this comes not too long after he got into a fistfight on the street here in L.A. ... so, thing have been a bit tumultuous.

Despite all that ... Bam is insisting everything's A-OK -- although, hard to say if folks buy it.

Here's hoping all is, in fact, well -- because there are many who are pretty worried about him.

Animated metal band Dethklok brings tour with Babymetal to the Masonic for two nights

The popular death metal band led by Brendan Small, the creative force behind popular Adult Swim animated show "Metalocalypse," Dethklok comes to the Masonic in San Francisco for two shows with co-headliners Babymetal.

Arguably the second most popular virtual band behind Gorillaz (the animated group helmed by Blur singer Damon Albarn), Dethklok made their as the stars of "Metalocalypse" when the show created by Small and partner/voice actor Tommy Blancha debuted in 2006. The world biggest death metal band in the program's absurd and surreal alternate universe, Dethklok stands as the planet's seventh largest economy despite the fact that the group's members are idiotic incompetents incapable of doing anything besides writing and performing brutal metal songs.

The quintet of singer Nathan Explosion (who was inspired by Cannibal Corpse vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher), guitarists Skwisgaar Skwigelf and Toki Wartooth, bassist William Murderface and drummer Pickles live and work in their massive fortress-like home and studio Mordhaus, venturing into the world to secure lucrative sponsorship deals and play huge concerts for their legions of fanatical followers with outlandish stage theatrics like over-the-top pyrotechnics, lasers and a giant swinging pendulum blade, inevitably resulting in widespread death and destruction.

Over the course of four seasons and a special broadcast on Adult Swim, "Metalocalypse" became one of the network's more popular shows and a favorite among musicians, with such notable figures as King Diamond, Alice Cooper, Jon Hamm, Werner Herzog, Jack Black and members of Metallica, Exodus, Emperor and Mastodon appearing on the show. Dethklok further built on its fanbase with a series of studio albums featuring the satirical songs featured the show like "Murmaider," "Bloodrocuted" and "Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle." The band also delivered entertaining live performances with widescreen clips of the animated band projected behind Small and his talented band including monster drummer Gene Hogland (Dark Angel, Death, Strapping Young Lad, Testament, Devin Townsend) and former Frank Zappa collaborator Mike Kenneally on guitar.

Dethklok would make regular festival appearances and tour with the likes of Mastodon, High On Fire, Machine Head and the Black Dahlia Murder. After the broadcast of the hour-long rock opera special, "Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem" in 2013, the band continued to perform, but the project went on hiatus after the show was cancelled two years later.

The band returned to action in 2019, playing the Adult Swim Festival to ecstatic crowds. Dethklok also returned to the festival post-pandemic in 2022. The following year, Smalls was at last able to release the final chapter in the Dethklok story with the film Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar , which was accompanied by both a soundtrack and the band issuing its acclaimed fourth studio recording,  Dethalbum IV .

With the show having run its course, the band's current tour could be Dethklok's last hurrah as it takes to the road with previous touring partners and co-headliners Babymetal which stops at the Masonic for two nights starting Wednesday . A sensation in their native Japan since first forming in 2010, the group mixes elements of heavy metal with elements of J-Pop and "kawaii" -- the Japanese "culture of cuteness" as exemplified by Hello Kitty and Pokemon. Singer Suzuka Nakamoto had impressed producer Kobametal (aka Key Kobayashi) in her earlier girl groups Karen Girl's and Sakura Gakuin when he wanted to start a new band performing a heavier style of music.

Initially a successful offshoot of Sakura Gakuin, Babymetal became independent in 2013 and enjoyed growing popularity with the release of their self-titled debut the following year. Featuring Nakamoto along with fellow singers Moa Kikuchi (also a member of Sakura Gakuin) and Yui Mizuno executing synchronized dance moves and melodic vocals backed by a group of shredding metal session players known as the Kami Band, the album delivered a dizzying juxtaposition of sunshine pop and metallic crunch. The band rocketed to success in Japan and were playing sold-out shows to thousands when the girls were still in their teens.

The notoriety in their native land soon led to international touring in Europe and North America, with Babymetal appearing at major metal festivals and opening for Lady Gaga. By the time the band was set to release their sophomore album Metal Resistance in 2016, they were headlining Wembley Arena in London and the huge Tokyo Dome to 55,000 screaming fans. More high-profile support gigs with the Red Hot Chili Peppers followed.

While the band suffered some hardship with the accidental death of guitarist Mikio Fujioka late in 2017 after he fell from an observation deck and the departure of Mizuno due to health reasons the next year, Babymetal continued to tour and in 2023 announced the addition of Momoko Okazaki as Fujioka's permanent replacement. The band plays fan favorites and songs from its fourth album The Other One  at the Masonic. Opening acts on the two nights will be different, with hyper-technical British power metal band DrangonForce playing Wednesday and theatrical LA-based melodic death metallers Nekrogoblikon kicking off the show Thursday.

Menzel rose to fame for her role as Maureen in the popular Broadway musical Rent , and her career took off when she won a Tony Award for her role as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, in the smash musical Wicked . Her voice can be heard as Elsa in Disney’s Frozen (the film’s song “Let It Go”, voiced by Menzel, won the Oscar for Best Original Song).

15 injured in tram accident at Universal Studios

A group of amusement park visitors were injured Saturday evening in a Universal Studios tram accident near Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department was dispatched shortly after 9 p.m. PT Saturday and transferred 15 patients to hospitals with minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol said a tour was underway at the studio in Universal City and the tram was making a turn following the "Jurassic Park Cars" attraction.

"Due to unknown reasons, while negotiating the turn onto Avenue M, the last car of the tram collided with a metal guardrail on the right side of the roadway causing it to tilt and eject multiple passengers from the tram," the agency said.

The injuries were evaluated as "minor to moderate," the highway patrol said. Neither drugs nor alcohol are being considered as factors.

A spokesperson for Universal Studios Hollywood confirmed the accident in a statement and said a tram collided with a guard rail while it was turning left.

"Our thoughts continue to be with the guests who were involved, and we are thankful that based on agency reports, the injuries sustained were minor," the statement said. "We are working closely with public agencies, including the California Highway Patrol, as we continue our review of the incident and safety remains a top priority."

Universal said the Studio Tour has resumed "with a modified route" and the park is "reinforcing our operational and safety protocols."

Universal Studios is owned by NBC News’ parent company, NBCUniversal.

According to the park’s website, the tram tour is set to celebrate its 60th anniversary Friday.

The Universal Studios Tour offers park visitors a chance to ride a tram through behind-the-scenes locations of some of the studio's famed films while tour guides impart some of the history of the lot.

Many of the locations are still used for filming, so the locations may change. A consistently popular attraction includes re-creations of scenes such as a "Jaws"-style shark attack.
