FIDLAR Announce 2023 AU / NZ Tour

Surf rock legends FIDLAR have confirmed their long-awaited return to Australia in March 2023. The SoCal rockers will headline Super Fun Day in Brisbane, plus sideshows in six capital cities “Deyown Ondah”.

Beginning their career as young punks playing house shows, FIDLAR exploded onto Los Angeles’ indie rock scene in the early 2010s with ferocious debut single  DIYDUI . Since then, the band has been expanding their presence worldwide, connecting with fans around the globe who resonate with their raucous skate-punk tunes and the band’s mantra of ‘F*ck It Dog, Life’s A Risk”. 

FIDLAR ’s most recent single  Taste The Money , is the third offering from the band’s forthcoming EP set to be released early next year. It follows the trio’s fierce comeback song  FSU , which thrust them back on playlists worldwide after a three year hiatus. 

If there’s any major take away from recent singles, it’s that FIDLAR are back in full force. The band’s latest work has been self-described as “ leaning into the extremes ”, and the acclaim garnered for comeback single  FSU  is a surefire sign of what’s to come.

FIDLAR are no strangers to touring Australia, having made regular appearances at Splendour In The Grass , giving rise to what frontman Zac Carper describes as “ some of the craziest experiences [he’s] ever had .” Now, for the first time since 2019, FIDLAR are gearing up for their grand return Down Under next March to give Australian and Kiwi fans the live experience they have been pining for.

Fidlar announce 2023 australian headline tour.

The Southern California legends return to Australia for the first time since 2019.

Surf rock legends FIDLAR have confirmed their long-awaited return to Australia in March 2023.

The SoCal rockers will headline Super Fun Day Festival in Brisbane, plus sideshows in six capital cities “Deyown Ondah”. The tour will kick off in Auckland on March 15 and take to Sydney, Brisbane (festival), Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide before finishing up in Fremantle on March 25.

FIDLAR are back. The band has announced fall 2023 tour dates in the US and Europe, and shared a new single, “Nudge.” Check out the song and their full list of upcoming dates below, and grab your tickets here .

“Nudge” begins with an understated arrangement, as frontman Zac Carper relays stories about receiving “nudges,” one from a judge, and another from his “chick,” who informs him that he’s making her “sick.” At this point, the guitar riff that’s anchored the song thus far bursts open, and the band lays down a thrashy interlude worthy of a good ol’ fashion mosh pit.

Bringing the arrangement back down, Carper tells of receiving one more “nudge,” this time from his friends in the form of an intervention, to which he offers the same response he had offered in the previous two stories: “Well, excuse me, officers.” After that, the energy kicks into a high gear again, with a faster, head-banging tempo and a scorching guitar solo. So, if you do happen to catch FIDLAR on their upcoming tour, don’t use up all your moshing energy during the first interlude, because you’ll need some for the song’s spirited final moments.

For his part, Carper explained in a statement that “‘Nudge’ is a song about your friend that keeps kooking it, so you gotta give them a ‘nudge’ to get their shit together.” Stream the single below.

FIDLAR’s upcoming tour will kick off with a week-long run of shows in Florida, dubbed the “Floriduh Tour.” After that, they’ll make two more stops in the US — Las Vegas and Phoenix — before crossing the Atlantic for a handful of performances in the UK and a grand finale in Paris on November 20th. Earlier this year, FIDLAR shared the six-track EP, That’s Life . Last year, they helped commemorate Consequence ’s 15th anniversary by curating a playlist of 15 songs they’ve had on repeat since 2007.

FIDLAR announce 2023 Australasian tour

The tour includes a co-headlining appearance at next year’s Super Fun Day festival in Brisbane

FIDLAR have announced their imminent return to Australia and New Zealand, scheduling a seven-date tour – which includes a co-headlining appearance at a festival – for next March.

The Californian punks will kick things off with a single Aotearoan show on Wednesday March 15, when they’ll play Studio in Auckland. They’ll start the Australian jaunt in Sydney that Friday (March 17), then link up with Dune Rats to co-headline Brisbane’s Super Fun Day festival the following day (March 18).

From there, FIDLAR will perform their own shows in Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, before wrapping up the run – dubbed their ‘Deyown Ondah’ tour – with a Fremantle show on Saturday March 25. Tickets for all seven of the shows will go on sale at 9am next Tuesday (November 29), with a pre-sale starting at the same time this Friday (November 25). The announcement comes hot on the heels of FIDLAR’s third standalone single for 2022, ‘Taste The Money’, which arrived last Friday (November 18). It followed on from the release of ‘Sand On The Beach’ last month and ‘FSU’ back in August, with all three singles set to feature on an upcoming EP. The record itself is yet to be formally announced, but it’s been confirmed for release sometime in 2023.

Also appearing at next year’s Super Fun Day will be the likes of Ruby Fields , Ocean Grove and The Moving Stills , as well as international acts like the Pale Waves , Beach Bunny (who announced their own tour earlier this month), The Reytons and Patti Harrison (of I Think You Should Leave fame).

FIDLAR’s last tour of Australia came in July of 2019, when the band were touring in support of that year’s ‘Almost Free’ album. Nestled in that run was the band’s second appearance at Splendour In The Grass (their first being in 2013); in a press release for the upcoming tour, frontman Zac Carper noted that he’s particularly fond of the destination festival, saying it’s given him “some of the craziest experiences [he’s] ever had”.

First FIDLAR concert for me was at the Fox Theater Pomona. FIDLAR has been my favorite band for years now. I have seen them four times. Fox Theater, Agenda Fest, Hollywood Palladium, and a show from a few days ago at the Teragram Ballroom. That was literally the best show yet! New album was amazing! Can't wait to see them again. They will never get old because they bring this energy to their shows that just make us all go ape shit and it's just this amazing vibe I get from each and every one of their shows.

This was probable one of the best punk shows I have seen in a while! Just constant moshing and crowd surfing every minute. FIDLAR basically played everything between there two albums. Including their cover of Sabotage (opened with) and their rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. The pacing was excellent as they just played right through with hardly any breaks. I loved them so much in Chicago, that I ended up seeing them in Milwaukee (better crowd than CHI imo) the next night as well.

SWMRS and The Frights were also very good bands as well that were in the set. Definitely not punk these two, but still had a sound that complemented FIDLAR well.

5/5 if you love to mosh and just get physical

I guess my disclaimer is that their shows are all ages, so don't feel sorry for throwing an elbow at some stupid high school punk haha

This review may be biased on account it was my 21st bday, so I was gonna have a good time no matter what lol.

Been waiting to see FIDLAR since 2012 and they didn't disappoint. From the back to the front of standing, everyone was moving: circle pits everywhere - absolute carnage. The highlight of the night was probably when the entire staying sat down while the band played the intro to Cocaine, leaping up when it dropped. Amazing.

About Fidlar

Fidlar (Fuck It Dog Life's A Risk) is an American rock band formed in 2009 in Los Angeles, California. The band consists of Zac Carper, Elvis Kuehn, Brandon Schwartzel and Max Kuehn. The group released their debut self-titled album in 2013, which gained them worldwide recognition and immediate success. The album featured songs that showcased their unique brand of surf punk-infused garage rock, and they established themselves as a major force in the punk and indie scene with their infectious, distorted riffs and energetic performances. FIDLAR Announce Fall 2023 Tour Dates, Share New Single “Nudge”: Stream

The tour kicks off later this month

FIDLAR are back. The band has announced fall 2023 tour dates in the US and Europe, and shared a new single, “Nudge.” Check out the song and their full list of upcoming dates below, and grab your tickets here .

“Nudge” begins with an understated arrangement, as frontman Zac Carper relays stories about receiving “nudges,” one from a judge, and another from his “chick,” who informs him that he’s making her “sick.” At this point, the guitar riff that’s anchored the song thus far bursts open, and the band lays down a thrashy interlude worthy of a good ol’ fashion mosh pit.

Bringing the arrangement back down, Carper tells of receiving one more “nudge,” this time from his friends in the form of an intervention, to which he offers the same response he had offered in the previous two stories: “Well, excuse me, officers.” After that, the energy kicks into a high gear again, with a faster, head-banging tempo and a scorching guitar solo. So, if you do happen to catch FIDLAR on their upcoming tour, don’t use up all your moshing energy during the first interlude, because you’ll need some for the song’s spirited final moments.

For his part, Carper explained in a statement that “‘Nudge’ is a song about your friend that keeps kooking it, so you gotta give them a ‘nudge’ to get their shit together.” Stream the single below.

FIDLAR’s upcoming tour will kick off with a week-long run of shows in Florida, dubbed the “Floriduh Tour.” After that, they’ll make two more stops in the US — Las Vegas and Phoenix — before crossing the Atlantic for a handful of performances in the UK and a grand finale in Paris on November 20th. Earlier this year, FIDLAR shared the six-track EP, That’s Life . Last year, they helped commemorate Consequence ’s 15th anniversary by curating a playlist of 15 songs they’ve had on repeat since 2007.

The Southern California legends return to Australia for the first time since 2019.

Surf rock legends FIDLAR have confirmed their long-awaited return to Australia in March 2023.

The SoCal rockers will headline Super Fun Day Festival in Brisbane, plus sideshows in six capital cities “Deyown Ondah”. The tour will kick off in Auckland on March 15 and take to Sydney, Brisbane (festival), Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide before finishing up in Fremantle on March 25.

Beginning their career as young punks playing house shows, FIDLAR exploded onto Los Angeles’ indie rock scene in the early 2010s with ferocious debut single DIYDUI. Since then, the band has been expanding their presence worldwide, connecting with fans around the globe who resonate with their raucous skate-punk tunes and the band’s mantra of F*ck It Dog, Life’s A Risk.

FIDLAR’s most recent single Taste The Money, is the third offering from the band’s forthcoming EP set to be released early next year. It follows the trio’s fierce comeback song FSU, which thrust them back on playlists worldwide after a three-year hiatus.

If there’s any major take away from recent singles, it’s that FIDLAR are back in full force. The band’s latest work has been self-described as “leaning into the extremes”, and the acclaim garnered for comeback single FSU is a surefire sign of what’s to come.

FIDLAR are no strangers to touring Australia, having made regular appearances at Splendour in the Grass, giving rise to what frontman Zac Carper describes as “some of the craziest experiences [he’s] ever had.” Now, for the first time since 2019, FIDLAR are gearing up for their grand return Down Under next March to give Australian and Kiwi fans the live experience they have been pining for.

Zurich Classic of New Orleans 2024 Thursday tee times, PGA Tour pairings and how to watch

A solid field of PGA Tour players is in Avondale, Louisiana, this week for the fun-filled 2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana.

After a stretch of mentally taxing golf, this field of 80 two-man teams is ready to have a blast in the Bayou.

On Thursday and Saturday, the format will be best ball. On Friday and Sunday, the format will be alternate shot.

TPC Louisiana is a par-72 track measuring 7,425 yards designed by Pete Dye.

The purse at the Zurich Classic is $8.9 million with $1,286,050 million going to each member of the winning team. The winners will also receive 400 FedEx Cup points each.
