Unlike western countries, motor homes and caravans are not a big things in our country. For that reason we have almost no mainstream manufacturers who make such products for our market. Such customers who normally want such modifications normally rely on custom houses and garages who specialise in vehicle body building. Here we have one such Force Traveller that has been customised by Kerala based Josh dezigns. The vehicle has transformed into an office on wheels. Here we have a detailed video about the modifications and customisation done to this Force Traveller.

The video has been uploaded by iam brintow on his youtube channel. The video specifically shows all the changes made to this Traveller. Starting from the front, it has been completely revised. It looks nothing like a regular Force Traveller. The stock headlamps have been replaced with aftermarket headlights used in Honda Civic. The grille has been revised too, and gets chrome strips with a Mercedes log in the centre.

The lower part of the redesigned bumper gets foglamps and LED DRLs. Coming to the side profile, the owner has gone for 17 inch alloy wheels that look good on it. Apart from that, everything remains the same on the side profile. This is a fully air conditioned vehicle and the windows are all fixed. The rear bumper is also redesigned along with a door mounted spare wheel and an aftermarket tail light. It uses an air suspension set up at the rear to improve the ride quality.

As mentioned above, this is modified as an office so most of the changes made to the vehicle are on the inside. There is a partition behind the driver seat and the entry to that area is through an electrically opening door. The whole space in the rear is converted as an office space with two recliners and a 7 feet long sofa. Apart from that it also has features like an LCD screen, LED lighting, microwave oven, refrigerator, cupboards and other storage spaces.

in addition to the Air-con system that the Traveller comes with, Josh Dezigns have also installed a split AC inside the cabin. There is a seperate generator, inverter in case, the power supply is interrupted. It is also equipped with Sony surround sound system and the Sofa can be easily converted into a bed for two in case some one wants to use it. Most of these modifications done to Traveller are mainly based on the budget and for that reason, the video does not mention the approximate cost of this modification.

This Modified Force Traveller Is Actually An Office On Wheels

In the Indian auto market, modified caravans are not popular; automakers in the country see no value in creating such products. Nevertheless, there are still a few people who go to any lengths to customize such kind of vehicle. Below is a video showing a Force Traveller which has been modified by Josh designs based out of Kerela to become an office on wheels which is comfortable enough to serve all the owner’s demands. Firstly, let’s have a look at the video.

Isn't This the Most Stunningly Modified Force Gurkha Ever?

The exterior of the caravan has been completely modified. The metal body has been maintained but considerable tweaks are done to the grille and the headlights. The grille comes with brand-new chrome strips with a Mercedes logo in the centre. The stock headlights have also given way to aftermarket units from the Honda Civic, which makes the car appear to be sharper. Some of the more outstanding features of the modified Force Traveller are the LED DRLs and fog lights on the restyled lower part of the bumper. On the side profile, 17-inch alloy rims are available to make the caravan more masculine. Al the windows are fixed to keep the car fully air-conditioned. The rear bumper has also been redesigned; a spare wheel is mounted onto the door and stock taillights have also given way to aftermarket units. The air suspension in the rear has also been modified to provide the occupants with a more comfortable experience.

As regards the interior, the modifiers have tried their best to make the car as comfortable as possible. Between the driver seat and the rest of the car is an electric door. Behind the electric door is a 7-feet sofa and two recliners. The sofa can be transformed into a comfortable bed for two adults. The cabin of the car is replete with a wide range of cutting-edge technologies including an LCD screen, a refrigerator, an inverter, microwave oven, a LED lighting system and many storage spaces. Moreover, there is also a Sony sound system and an additional split air conditioner in addition to the standard unit. The video has not revealed the total cost of the entire modification job but this is a real value for money.

Indian industrialist Gautam Singhania has launched his latest venture called GS Design, which transforms standard people movers into luxury vehicles with plush interiors. Singhania also operates the Super Car Club Garage (SCCG), which restored Ravi Shastri’s iconic Audi 100 .

Customised Innova Crysta by GS Design 

The modified Innova Crysta gets a complete interior makeover, with the second and third rows getting two captain’s chairs – that get a powered recline and ottoman function – draped in perforated leather. For privacy, there is a solid partition that separates the front of the cabin from the rear. The partition comes with additional storage spaces, and it is also where the 40-inch TV is mounted for rear-seat entertainment, however, sizes can range from 32 to 55 inches, depending on customer preference. The customised Crysta by GS Design is also equipped with internet and telephone connectivity, ambient lighting and a starlight headliner with a shooting star effect, like Rolls-Royce cars.

GS can build eight such Innovas simultaneously and the price for the custom Innova Crysta is around Rs 45 lakh (including the price of the vehicle), and the conversion process will take about 2.5 months.

Customised Force Traveller by GS Design

GS Design also offers customisations for the Force Traveller, which gets seven seats. Three of the seats are captain’s chairs like in the Innova with powered recline and ottoman functions. Like the customised Innova, this too comes with a 43-inchTV, internet and telephone connectivity, and ambient lighting, but that’s about where the similarities end. The customised Traveller gets a built-in chemical toilet and a mini pantry to keep occupants at ease on journeys.

The Traveller that was showcased had an election campaign vehicle and comes with a platform that can be raised via a Hydraulic lift to allow politicians to address crowds from the roof. There’s a fixed enclosure with guard rails present on the top to ensure the safety of users. The election campaign vehicle also boasts of two 32-inch LED TVs on the outside along with a PA system with external speakers.

The customised Force Traveller costs Rs 85 lakh, including the cost of the vehicle. GS Design says that they will take approximately three months to modify the Traveller and the workshop can build two of these vehicles simultaneously. Like with the Innova, the Force Traveller is offered in multiple customisation options. Have a look at a video of the vehicles

GS Design Warranty, registration and future products

Since there is a change in seating configuration from the stock vehicle, this would have to reflect in the RC book and other official details. When asked if the company would be re-registering the vehicles, GS Design said that it would not be handling that aspect. A point worth noting is that the original warranty of the vehicle offered by the manufacturer will also be void once it’s customised. However, GS Design is offering a 1-year warranty on the customisations done to the vehicle.

Speaking to Autocar India, Singhania shared that the company has received over 20 orders for the Innova Crysta and Force Traveller over the past week. He also revealed that the company is looking at working on projects involving the Volvo Vanity Van, Kia Carnival and even the Toyota Vellfire .
