Fujii Kaze has announced that his first U.S. tour, titled “Fujii Kaze and the piano U.S. Tour,” will come to New York and Los Angeles in May. In August, he will hold his first concert in Japan in a year and a half at Nissan Stadium.

To celebrate the news, Fujii Kaze has confirmed that his new song, “Michi Teyu Ku (Overflowing),” written for the movie April, Come She Will , will arrive on March 15.

Additionally, Fujii has shared the art for the track, which will soundtrack the film when it arrives on March 22. Fujii Kaze will also release a Tomokazu Yamada-directed video on March 15.

Regarding the new song, Fujii Kaze said, “In writing a song for the movie April, Come She Will , I was enthusiastic about writing a so-called love song for the first time in my life, but what I ended up with was the same as what I’ve been singing so far. What has a beginning has an end. Love is not something you ask for, but something you already have. The more you give, the more it becomes ‘Overflowing.’”

After a successful seven-city, 11-show Asian tour last year, Fujii Kaze is finally gearing up to perform in the U.S. The show will consist of a simple live performance with only Kaze and a piano, just like his performances in Asia.

The singer-songwriter had been steadily growing a devoted fanbase in Japan and abroad before blowing up in 2023, thanks to his viral single, “ Shinunoga E-Wa ,” which was the most-played Japanese song on Spotify in 2023.

Back in November, Fujii Kaze shared the music video for his single “Hana.” Released via Universal Music LLC, “Hana” was also the official theme song of the Japanese TV drama series Ichiban Sukina Hana .

The US system is very messed up. An average person cannot attend Fujii Kaze’s concert because Apollo theater and all the other venues allow ticket resale on whatever price they want to resell. Fujii Kaze’s concert is sold out according to Apollo theater, which is not true. The moment tickets came out they allowed them to be purchased for resale. If simple the tickets would have a printed price on them with an addendum that they only can be resold on the original purchase price or less, then it would not be a sold out even yet. Tickets are available from $300-$4000! If you only want 1 ticket, you only get a higher priced one. I called Apollo theater as their website said starting at $49. I was told if I went there personally when they came out it would be starting at $49 and I could have gotten onenfor $49. Why is this allowed!? The singer agreed how much he wanted people to pay for his concert. Why Apollo theater simply not add it to the tickets that they should not be resold higher than purchased? This way a common person has no chance!!! Ironically, Fujii Kaze’s few songs are about the common people! Most likely that is why he set a ticket price at low. This way a random person has no chance of purchasing, Apollo might already had the ticket sales pre arranged or even the employees could take them first hand and sell them out. It is messed up that whoever bought them is making more money than the artist himself!!!! For $4000 I can fly to Japan and attend his concert there.

Fujii Kaze to Hold US Tour

Fujii Kaze has released multiple pieces of information today!

On March 15, he will release a new digital single, “Michite Yuku.” The song serves as the theme song for the film “Shigatsu ni Nareba Kanojo wa”, out in Japanese theaters on March 22. The film marks the film directorial debut of Yamada Tomokazu , who normally directs music videos. Speaking of, the “Michite Yuku” music video, directed by Yamada, will be released the same day as his film.

On March 16, Kaze will be the first performer on the new NHK / NHK WORLD JAPAN music program “tiny desk concerts JAPAN.” This is the Japanese version of the American music program “tiny desk concerts.” NHK received a license for the program from NPR recently. “tiny desk concerts JAPAN” will see Kaze performing at the NHK office in Shibuya.

Kaze and his piano will also be taking a trip across the Pacific, to tour the United States. “Fujii Kaze and the piano U.S. Tour” will play Los Angeles in May and New York in June. Like his Asia tour last year, this American tour will feature just him and his piano. Tickets go on sale on March 12.

Kaze’s next performances will take place in August at Nissan Stadium. Information about the sale of these tickets will be released in May.

J-pop singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze — whose name is stylized in Japanese order, surname first — is set to globally stream the final show of his Help Ever Arena Tour on the online concert streaming platform MUSIC/SLASH, which boasts the highest level of sound quality in the industry.

The final stop of the 24-year-old breakout star’s tour will be held at Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasium in Tokyo on Sunday (Nov. 28) local time. The archive of the concert will be streamed in the U.S., Indonesia, South Korea and Taiwan, and tickets for markets outside of Japan will be available here until Tuesday (Nov. 24) at 6 p.m. Japan time.
