2022 LPGA Tour schedule: Tournaments, dates, purses and venues

golf lpga tour 2022

The 2022 LPGA Tour schedule has been announced, with record prize money for the 34-event docket that means better playing opportunities across the board.

The most significant changes to the schedule are increases to purses in two majors and the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.

Purse-boosted events

The biggest purse increases on the 2022 LPGA Tour schedule are in three majors, with the US Women's Open purse increasing to $10 million from $5.5 million. The Chevron Championship (formerly the ANA Inspiration) and the AIG Women's Open are seeing huge increases.

The season-ending CME Group Tour Championship purse is also increasing by $2 million to $7 million. The winner of the event will now earn $2 million, marking the biggest first-place prize in women's golf history.

Other tournaments to announce elevated purses are the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open ($2 million, up $500,000 from 2021), the LPGA Mediheal Championship ($1.8 million, up $300,000 from 2021), the Pelican Women’s Championship ($2 million, up $250,000 from 2021), the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational ($2.5 million, up $200,000 from 2021), the Meijer LPGA Classic ($2.5 million, up $200,000 from 2021) and the HSBC Women’s World Championship ($1.7 million, up $100,000 from 2021). Additional purse increases are expected to be announced throughout the season.

There are several new events on the schedule, with JTBC stepping up to increase their sponsor presence on the Tour. The JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes completes a California triple around The Chevron Championship. The Kroger Queen City Championship brings the LPGA to Cincinnati.

A Guide to the LPGA Tour's Landmark 2022 Season

  • Author: Adam Stanley

It’s a year of exciting changes for the LPGA Tour, and it all gets started this week at the Tournament of Champions — an event that feels like a microcosm of 2022.

There’s a new sponsor (Hilton Vacations), a new golf course (Lake Nona Golf and Country Club) and there are storylines abound at an event with an increased purse for 2022.

And that’s just the first event of the year.

Here’s just about everything you need to know for the season ahead.

Related: Complete 2022 LPGA tour schedule

Can anyone top Jin Young Ko?

Jin Young Ko plays the 2019 Women’s Australian Open.

Jin Young Ko was the LPGA Tour Player of the Year for 2021.

Golffile | David Brand

Last season’s Player of the Year went on the heater of all heaters through the summer months winning five times in nine starts after July 1. She admitted at the CME Group Tour Championship (the season finale) that she wasn’t herself after her grandmother passed away in March, but she pivoted physically and mentally through the balance of 2021 and knew that her grandmother would be proud of her accomplishments.

There was certainly much to be proud of.

Ko, 26, finished outside the top-six on the LPGA Tour just once during that nine-tournament stretch in the summer. She defended her title at the CME Group Tour Championship winning the Race to the CME Globe, Player of the Year, shot 14 consecutive rounds in the 60s and topped the money list. She also won the money title in 2020 after just four starts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

She is as complete a player as any on the LPGA Tour (13th in driving accuracy, second in greens in regulation, 19th in putting average, and second in scoring average) and will once again be the player to watch in 2022.

What should we expect from Nelly Korda?

Nelly Korda plays the 2021 PNC Championship.

Nelly Korda begins 2022 as the top-ranked player in the world.

Scott Halleran / Golffile.ie

For all of Jin Young Ko’s accomplishments in 2021, however, it was American Nelly Korda who ended the year ranked No. 1 in the world.

Korda won four times last season — including her first major — along with the Olympic gold medal in Tokyo. She admitted she ran out of gas at the end of the year (she won the penultimate event of the season but couldn’t top Ko in the finale, ending up tied for fifth). However, there’s nothing that shows Korda, who is just 23, won’t have a similar-type season in 2022. Especially considering there will be far less travel (no Olympics, no Solheim Cup ), the best golfer in the world will now be able to have more opportunities for rest and recovery.

Korda — whose older sister, Jessica, also won on the LPGA Tour last season — was tops on Tour in scoring average, fifth in greens in regulation, seventh in driving distance, and 14th in putts per greens in regulation en route to notching 10 top-10 finishes in 17 events.

While sports fans are often starved for rivalries, Ko vs. Korda is as good as any on the course. Don’t expect a war-of-words to break out, though — they are also two of the kindest people on Tour.

Who are some other players to watch?

Lydia Ko plays the 2021 Open Championship at Carnoustie.

One of the great things about the LPGA Tour — perhaps now more than any of the last five seasons — is that there are a handful of top golfers who could go on a hot streak at any point through the season.

Here are just a few others to keep an eye on this year.

  • Lydia Ko — Won for the first time in three years in 2021 and zipped up to third in the world. Rejuvenated on-course effort thanks to work with Sean Foley.
  • Yuka Saso — 19-year-old sensation won the U.S. Women’s Open in 2021 and catapulted herself into the top-10 in the world.
  • Patty Tavatanakit — Another youngster who captured a major championship last year, Tavatanakit — who absolutely bombs it off the tee — won the 2021 Rookie of the Year award.
  • Lexi Thompson — Hard to believe, but Thompson (who is just 26) hasn’t won on the LPGA Tour since 2019. Will this be the year she finds the winner's circle again?
  • In Bee Park — The ‘Queen B’ is getting older (she’s 33) and has had to navigate a few injuries over the last couple of seasons. However, Park still won once last year, ended the year ranked fourth in the world, and was No. 1 on Tour in putting. If she stays healthy, she’ll continue to be a force in the women’s game.

Where are the 2022 women's majors played?

This year’s major championship roster is an impressive one.

  • The Chevron Championship (formerly the ANA Inspiration) will be played at the Dinah Short Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club for the final time before it moves to the Houston area starting next year. This marks the 50th year of this particular major and expect a large, and deserved, send off. It will be played Mar. 31-Apr. 3 and have a $5 million purse. Patty Tavatanakit defends.
  • The U.S. Women’s Open (June 2-5) will be contested at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in North Carolina. The last time it was played there, in 2007, Cristie Kerr won her first of two major titles. This year’s U.S. Women’s Open will have a presenting sponsor for the first time (ProMedica Health) and with that the purse will increase by nearly 100 percent to $10 million (it was $5.5 million in 2021). Yuka Saso defends.
  • The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship (June 23-26) heads to Congressional Country Club. It’s the first time the women will be teeing it up at Congressional, and it will return again to the storied Maryland layout in 2027. There will be a $4.5 million purse. Nelly Korda defends.
  • The Amundi Evian Championship (July 21-24) will, per usual, be played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France and there will be a $4.5 million purse. Minjee Lee defends.
  • Perhaps the most notable of all the major championship venues for 2022 will be the AIG Women’s Open (Aug. 4-7) at Muirfield. Muirfield, which has hosted the men’s Open 16 times, was embroiled in controversy, and only first admitted female members in 2019. There will be a $6.8 million purse. Anna Nordqvist defends.

Tell me about the new LPGA commissioner

Former commissioner Mike Whan moved on last year to take the top job at the USGA (and he’s already made his presence felt, having helped to install the new sponsor for the U.S. Women’s Open along with the purse increase) and was replaced mid-year by former Director of Athletics at Princeton University Mollie Marcoux Samaan.

Samaan has a lengthy resume in sports and leadership and said at the CME Group Tour Championship that she’s gone through a hearty learning process in her first couple months on the job. She’ll now be charged with navigating the Tour’s exit from the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing broadcast challenges (while there will be 500 hours of LPGA Tour golf broadcast, she said in November 2021 she was high on streaming opportunities and storytelling), and the diversity and inclusion opportunities that exist leading a women’s sports league.

Interestingly enough, Marcoux Samaan wrote her senior thesis on “The Social Construction of Sport and Gender: A History of Women’s Golf from 1895 to 1955.”

What are some new rules to aware of?

Brooke Henderson plays the 2021 U.S. Women's Open.

Brooke Henderson, the world's 10th-ranked player, is one of the Tour pros impacted by the new driver-length rule.

Kyle Terada-USA Today Sports

Things to keep an eye out for on the LPGA Tour this year include two key rule changes.

The first is the USGA’s new rule on driver length. While the reduction from 48 inches to 46 inches impacts fewer than 10 golfers on the LPGA Tour, one of those golfers is Brooke Henderson — ranked No. 10 in the world. Henderson has used a 48-inch driver since she was 15 and will have the biggest spotlight when the rule gets invoked on Tour in mid-March.

According to GolfWeek's Beth Ann Nichols , the LPGA Tour will also allow for non-members who finish in the top 10 in certain events (majors don’t count, neither does the team event or match- play event) earn the right to tee it up in the following week’s tournament. The PGA Tour has long had this rule, and many had called for it to be part of the LPGA Tour’s process, too.

How much prize money is up for grabs?

The winner of the U.S. Women’s Open will earn $1.8 million — more money than all but three players made for the entire 2021 LPGA Tour season. This is a prime example of how much money golfers on the LPGA Tour are now playing for, certainly as compared to years’ past.

The overall purse for the 34 events will be approximately $86 million , the largest total ever. Ten tournaments have announced purse increases with more “expected to be announced throughout the season,” according to a release from the Tour.

There will be swings through Florida, California, and Europe, while events are, for now, set to return to Asia and Canada after the COVID-19 pandemic caused plenty of scheduling problems.

Keep an eye out for the two fun events on the schedule as well this year. The DOW Great Lakes Invitational will, once again, be a team event, while the Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play will return to Las Vegas’ Shadow Creek.

Finally, fans of the LPGA Tour may shortly be able to get more involved in betting.

The Tour’s daily stats and hole-by-hole data will be available to casinos and sportsbooks through some partners like BoyleSports, Tipsport, and bet365. This effort has been spearheaded by IMG Arena, which now owns the Tour’s official sports betting data and live streaming distribution rights.

9 things we hope to see on the LPGA Tour in 2022

1354736534

Michael Reaves

As the 2022 LPGA Tour season begins this week at Lake Nona with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, there is no crystal ball to peer into that will tell us what’s to come for the players embarking on a 34-event season that traverses the globe. But we can still dream up what we’d like to see happen. From comebacks to new arrivals, bigger purses and sponsorships from new companies, here are nine things we’re hoping to see take place on tour this coming season.

A rivalry we can root for: Nelly Korda vs. Jin Young Ko

It’s clear the talent pool on the LPGA Tour is too deep at the moment for there to be a single, dominant star along the lines of Annika Sorenstam or Lorena Ochoa. So, if we can’t have that, a duel is the next best thing. We got a tease of a budding rivalry between Nelly Korda and Jin Young Ko late in 2021, as the two entered the final event of the season in an incredibly close race for Player of the Year. Though Ko came out the victor, Korda begins the season ranked No. 1 in the world. She grabbed a major championship and Olympic gold in 2021, two things Ko left that season without. The buzz about the two players was exciting, but brief, as the season ended soon after the fun really started. So as we begin 2022, the wish is that Korda and Ko pick up where they left off. A season full of the pair vying for titles—Korda with her power and Ko with her incredible accuracy—sounds like the Sunday afternoons we deserve. — Keely Levins

Mission Hills goes out in style

With new sponsor, Chevron, taking over , 2022 marks the last time the LPGA’s first major of the year will be played in the California desert at Mission Hills. The Dinah Short Championship course itself isn’t much to speak of, but that was never really the point. The point of gathering at Mission Hills each spring since the event’s inception in 1972 was to celebrate something more than a golf tournament. For years, the event and the course was a cultural touchpoint for feminism and women’s liberation, and those sentiments were underlined by the competition itself: In the 1970s, when the tournament was euphonically named for its co-founder, celebrity Dinah Shore, it gave LPGA players the largest purse in the sport and an overdue platform on network television. Clearly a new sponsor in tow that will nearly double the purse and shift its date away from the Augusta National Women's Amateur and the Masters is good for the overall financial health of the event, and perhaps these alterations return a spotlight to the championship than has dimmed over the past decade. Still, while “The Dinah’s” legacy hopefully remains, there’s a chance the move itself will alter its spirit. In that vein, here’s hoping that in its last dance at Mission Hills, the tournament goes out in style and that those fireworks carry forward with the event, no matter where it’s contested. — Joel Beall

Muirfield proves the best players need to play on the best stages

muirfield-clubhouse-scotland-wide-shot.jpg

Ross Kinnaird

August cannot come soon enough. For the first time, the AIG Women’s Open will be played at Muirfield, one of the toughest of Open Championship venues. The club came under scrutiny and lost its spot in the Open rota in 2016 when it voted against allowing women to become members. By 2019, the club had changed its mind and the first female members were accepted, opening to host it first women’s major. It’s an iconic course, full of history with winners including Walter Hagen, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and it will be interesting to see how the women fair, not only for that week’s entertainment, but to solidify the notion that the best venues in golf bring out the best in the women’s game, and that women should get more chances at them. — K.L.

The USGA’s bump in prize money pushes other sponsors to do the same

The USGA’s decision to nearly double the U.S. Women's Open purse to $10 million by adding presenting sponsor (ProMedica) was a decisive moment for the women’s game. A funny thing happens when one tournament bumps up its purse: Other tournaments follow suit, especially when that tournament is a major. No major wants to have the smallest purse. Right now, the U.S. Women’s Open is at $10 million, The Chevron Championship (previously named the ANA Inspiration) is at $5 million, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship is at $4.5 million, the Amundi Evian Championship is at $4.5 million and the AIG Women’s Open is at $6.8 million. Though not a major, the CME Group Tour Championship has the next-biggest purse to the U.S. Women’s Open, at $7 million. The question now is whether the trend will follow in regular LPGA events as well. — K.L.

Lydia Ko wins a major

1354274758

Lydia Ko is right there, it seems, on the brink of being a dominant factor once again on the LPGA Tour. The 24-year-old is the No. 3 player in the world as the 2022 season begins and is coming off a year that saw her first win since 2018—the Lotte Championship. She also posted three runner-up finishes in 2021. (See what we mean? She’s right there.) One of those runner ups was a solo second finish at the ANA Inspiration. You can see where we’re headed with this … not only do we want to see Ko get her 17th LPGA win, we want it to be a major. Ko has won two majors in her career: the 2015 Evian Championship and the 2016 ANA Inspiration. She’s a player not only with undeniable talent, she takes time to sign autographs for every fan, she’s thoughtful with the media, she's simply good for the game. — K.L.

More women-led businesses supporting the tour

In the 1970s, a University of Michigan study suggested that women professors graded women graduate students more harshly than male students. The study initiated the idea of the “Queen Bee Syndrome,” namely that powerful women were prone, intentionally or otherwise, to holding back the progress of other women. The study’s been replicated multiple times, including a 2020 investigation in the British Journal of Social Psychology, which indicated that the problem wasn’t so much powerful women as it was the organizational framework they operate in.

All this psycho-blather is prelude to one simple question: Why are not the most powerful women in business supporting the LPGA Tour? There are 41 female CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. How many of those companies are title sponsors of LPGA events? One. (And that’s a loose interpretation. General Motors, which is run by Mary Barra, owns the Buick brand, which is the title sponsor of the Buick LPGA Shanghai in China.) It seems time in 2022 for the LPGA to get some real backing domestically from some of the biggest companies in the world, companies led by women. That list includes Citigroup (Jane Fraser), UPS (Carol B. Tomé), Oracle (Safra A. Catz), The Hershey Company (Michele Buck), Progressive Corporation (Tricia Griffith) and dozens of others. The LPGA is the best run women’s sports organization in the world. It’s time some other women used to running great organizations get on board. — Mike Stachura

MORE: Nelly Korda just started 2022 doing something no other American woman has done

No more tape delays

The scene was perfect at the Pelican Women’s Championship last November. Nelly Korda had just made a 20-foot birdie putt and Lexi Thompson had missed her putt to force a four-woman playoff with Korda, Thompson, Lydia Ko and Sei Young Kim. The four major champions were heading down the first playoff hole. And yet somehow it wasn’t on live television; the Pelican was on a tape delay. Watching sports on a tape delay is rough. In the age of Twitter it’s almost impossible to not find out what happened before the tape finally plays. But seeing it happen in an event with a powerhouse playoff really drove home the fact that tape delays need to be a thing of the past for the LPGA Tour. We’re not in the room deciding what gets airtime and what doesn’t, and yes it’s a saturated market with a lot of live sports out there gunning for airtime. But if 2022 could be the year of no tape delays, everyone would be happy. — K.L.

Patty Tavatanakit avoids the sophomore slump

1310830126

Michael Owens

In just her 18th professional start on the LPGA Tour, Patty Tavatanakit confirmed what many were already convinced to be so: the rookie from Thailand had a game that could win a major championship. At last April’s ANA Inspiration, she combined distance off the tee, touch around the greens and an overall course savvy to hold off a hard-charging Lydia Ko for a two-shot victory. It was her lone win of 2021, but in her remaining 15 starts, the eventual Rookie of the Year had eight additional top-10s—including two in majors. The question naturally arises as to whether the now 22-year-old might suffer from a “sophomore slump” in 2022 after having an offseason to absorb just what she accomplished. Yet the way in which she continued to thrive on tour after her ANA victory suggests she’ll be OK, as does the fact that in her actual sophomore year of college at UCLA she added to her career victory total of seven. — Ryan Herrington

Leona Maguire gets her first LPGA Tour win

The pursuit of success doesn’t always follow a straight line, as Leona Maguire’s path to the LPGA Tour proves that. The former No. 1 amateur in the world and three-time college player of the year at Duke University didn’t sail straight from graduation to the LPGA Tour. She failed to make it through LPGA Q-School on the first try and had to get her reps in on the Symetra and Ladies European Tours. She got her LPGA card for the shortened 2020 season, and 2021 provided a full schedule with more tournament opportunities. Only then, a few years later than expected, did Maguire start coming into her own. She shot a final-round 61 at the Amundi Evian Championship, which tied the record for the lowest round shot at an LPGA major. She stunned as a rookie at the Solheim Cup at Inverness, going undefeated (4-0-1) and emerging as a hero for Team Europe. Her potential has been proven, but there’s one important thing Maguire hasn’t done yet: win. With an LPGA Tour victory, Maguire’s circuitous route to the tour will be complete. And her new journey as an LPGA Tour champion will have officially begun. — K.L.

LPGA Tour Announces Record-Breaking 2022 Schedule

golf lpga tour 2022

LPGA tour players to compete for nearly $86 million in official prize money with nine tournaments announcing elevated purses, as the LPGA release their 2022 schedule

The 2022 LPGA Tour season is set to present yet another year of record-setting purses and playing opportunities. Thanks to the support of new and long-time partners, LPGA Tour Members will compete for $85.7 million in official purses in 2022, the largest total ever presented to the world’s best female golfers, across 34 official events.

LPGA Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan, said:

“The stage is set for 2022 to be one of the most exciting years in the history of the LPGA Tour, with the addition of new events, the largest total purse ever, over 500 hours of broadcast television and a collective commitment to being the leading women’s professional sports property in the world.

“We have never had such a robust team of partners from around the globe who see both the commercial value in investing in the LPGA and the opportunity to utilize the partnerships to have a positive impact on their communities and on the world. As the home to the best female golfers in the world, we will continue to focus on offering a dynamic schedule that allows players to reach their peak performance in golf and in life and that provides the platform to inspire young girls and women around the globe to dream big.”

Nine tournaments have announced purse increases

So far, nine tournaments have announced purse increases for the 2022 season, including The Chevron Championship ($5 million, up $1.9 million from 2021) and the AIG Women’s Open ($6.8 million, up $1.3 million from 2021). As announced on Wednesday, the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship purse will grow to $7 million, up $2 million from 2021. The winner will receive $2 million, the largest first-place prize in professional women’s golf history, and all players who complete in the championship will receive at least $40,000.

Other tournaments to announce elevated purses are the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open ($2 million, up $500,000 from 2021) which is returning to Dundonald Links in 2022 , the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship ($1.8 million, up $300,000 from 2021), the Pelican Women’s Championship ($2 million, up $250,000 from 2021), the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational ($2.5 million, up $200,000 from 2021), the Meijer LPGA Classic ($2.5 million, up $200,000 from 2021) and the HSBC Women’s World Championship ($1.7 million, up $100,000 from 2021). Additional purse increases are expected to be announced throughout the season.

2022 LPGA season starts in January

The 2022 season will open with three weeks in Florida, leading off with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, moving to a new host venue at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando. The Gainbridge LPGA will return to Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca Raton after a one-year stop at Lake Nona, and the Florida trio will culminate at the fourth playing of the LPGA Drive On Championship, with a date and venue to be announced in the coming weeks.

Following the usual early-season swing through Asia, with stops in Singapore and Thailand, the Tour will spend five weeks in the Western region of the United States. In early April, the golf world will celebrate Mission Hills Country Club and its 50-plus years of LPGA Tour history with The Chevron Championship, the first major of the golf season, with a new title sponsor. The LPGA announced in October that 2022 will mark the major’s final playing in Rancho Mirage, and the week promises to be an exciting celebration of Dinah Shore, Mission Hills and the famed jump into Poppie’s Pond.

Major championships

After beginning with The Chevron Championship, the 2022 women’s major championship season will continue at the U.S. Women’s Open, which returns to Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in North Carolina, the venue for Cristie Kerr’s 2007 national championship title. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship will head to Congressional Country Club in Maryland, a five-time men’s major venue that is set to welcome its first major women’s event.

A four-event European Swing will feature two major championships, starting with the Amundi Evian Championship, the Tour’s annual visit to the French Alps. The first week in August will bring the much-awaited AIG Women’s Open visit to Muirfield, marking the first time in its illustrious history that the famed links will host a major women’s championship.

Two LPGA tour debuts

The season will include two tournaments making their LPGA Tour debuts on the calendar. The JTBC Championship at Palos Verdes will be held at Palos Verdes Golf Club in late April, joining the previous week’s JTBC LA Open at Wilshire Country Club for a two-week tour through suburban Los Angeles. In September, the Tour will visit Kenwood Country Club for the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G, marking a return to Cincinnati for the first time since 1989.

After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, the LPGA Tour will return to Canada in late August for the CP Women’s Open at Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club in Ontario. It will kick off a summer sprint across the United States, ending with the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship being held for the first time at The Saticoy Club, located outside Los Angeles. The Tour will then return to Asia for its Fall Swing, making appearances in the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei and Japan, before ending the season at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples in Florida.

Scottie Scheffler, shares lead at Masters, would leave if wife goes into labor

Change Text Size

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Two years ago, Meredith Scheffler played a crucial role in her husband’s breakthrough Masters victory. Overwhelmed by the immensity of holding a 54-hole lead at Augusta National, Scottie Scheffler was brought to tears before teeing off on that Sunday in 2022.

It was Meredith who had the words to soothe her husband’s nerves.

“If you win this golf tournament today, if you lose this golf tournament by 10 shots, if you never win another golf tournament again, I'm still going to love you, you're still going to be the same person, Jesus loves you and nothing changes,” she said to him. Scottie, of course, went on to win his first Masters title that day.

Two years later, Scottie Scheffler is competing for another green jacket. After shooting even-par 72 on Friday, Scheffler shares the 36-hole lead at 6 under par alongside Max Homa and Bryson DeChambeau. This time, Meredith Scheffler will not be with her husband in Augusta. She is home in Dallas, pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Scottie is less likely to feel those same nerves this time around, however. He’s won the last two PGA TOUR Player of the Year Awards and now has eight PGA TOUR titles, including the past two PLAYERS Championships.

“What's missing? It's difficult to describe,” Scheffler said about his wife’s absence in Augusta. “But yeah, it's a bit weird. This is my first tournament without her being around in quite some time. Fortunately, Nike kind of takes care of my clothes this week so I don't have to pick my own outfits. I did make breakfast this morning, which was an adjustment.

“She's obviously my biggest supporter, and I definitely miss having her here,” he added. “But it's an exciting time for us in our lives, and fortunately she's still at home and feeling good, so we are grateful for that.”

Scheffler said earlier this week that he will head home to Dallas if his wife goes into labor, but that is not expected to happen this week.

“I wouldn't say I'm very concerned,” Scheffler said. “We haven't seen any of the early signs. But pregnancy is weird. It can happen at any time. (We have) open lines of communication and she can get ahold of me if she needs to.

“I'm ready to go at a moment's notice.”
