2024 Northern Ohio PGA Birdie Club

The Northern Ohio PGA Birdie Club is a player performance-based fundraising drive to get Junior Tour members involved in community outreach. This will help juniors gain a greater sense of pride and accomplishment beyond just their performance during Junior Tour events. The Birdie Club supports the Northern Ohio PGA Section Foundation and its initiatives including providing college scholarships to high school seniors, financial assistance to junior tour players, grants to local charities, and providing golf clubs to children financially in need.
Juniors will ask family, friends, and neighbors for pledges throughout the junior tour season. Donors may pledge a dollar amount per birdie or per par or simply donate a flat donation towards their goal.
After the 2024 junior tour season is complete, birdies are totaled and donors' credit cards will be charged. After all donations have been collected, a winner will be named.
2024 Spring / Summer Junior Elite Academy
April 2024 - October 31, 2024
The Summer Junior Elite Academy provides critical swing, short game, and course management instruction for your competitive junior golfer, providing them their best opportunity for success in advance of, and during, their 2024 tournament season. All summer lessons are conducted outdoors at NorthStar Golf Club.
What's included.
20 One-Hour Private Golf Lessons with Chris Casto, PGA. Lessons are scheduled at your convenience, up to 30 days in advance.
A custom Casto Golf Academy stand bag with your junior's name embroidered prominently on the ball pocket
Club Fitting information will be acquired throughout and recommendations for any needed equipment additions/upgrades will be provided.
Your junior will receive a complimentary assortment of preferred/utilized training aids (Swing Guide, Golf Ball Liner Tool, Alignment Sticks).
Any (2) One-Hour Lesson credits may be utilized as a 9-hole playing lesson.
All lessons must be redeemed by October 31, 2024.

The PGA of America is one of the world's largest sports organizations, composed of PGA of America Golf Professionals who work daily to grow interest and participation in the game of golf.
PREVIEW: 2024 Northern Ohio PGA
Nearly 100 events are scheduled, from stroke play tournaments for Section professionals, to open competitions for Section professionals and qualified amateurs, to competitions for junior golfers, to the Section Foundation charitable programs.
The Northern Ohio PGA, with approximately 475 professionals and associates, will begin its season with the Pro-Pro Premier, a 2-person team event, on Monday and Tuesday, April 15-16, at Firestone Country Club in Akron.
The Section continues to provide high quality golf and to aid several charitable causes.
With the addition of the Ohio Junior Cup Matches, the Section will now conduct what it considers 13 ‘major’ events, highlighted by the 103rd Ohio Open during the first week of July at Westfield Country Club, the 39th Ohio Senior Open at Firestone Country Club just after Memorial Day and several other significant tournaments such as The NOPGA Section Professional Championship, the Ohio Cup Matches, the Mitchell-Haskell Tour Championship and the Denny Shute Match Play Championship.
The professionals will compete weekly from now until mid-October with a series of stroke-play events, usually on Mondays. The Section continues to provide high quality golf and to aid several charitable causes.

The NOPGA Section also will conduct three events for its foundation: 103rd Ohio Open Pro-Am on June 30th at Westfield Country Club; Kenny Novak Scholarship Day on July 29th at Club Walden; and the Smucker’s Birdies & Charity event at Portage Country Club on September 16.
