About This File

Description.

NPCs Travel  is an essential mod to populate the Commonwealth. But as a gaymer, I would like to only see the male ones traveling around. 

Besides, I also fixed a minor bug regarding the outfits and integrated some vanilla clothings and armors leveled lists into the outfit leveled lists, so that if we use some leveled lists injection or manual edits, then those NPCs from NPCs Travel can also have access to mod-added outfits. 

Last, I have included an optional file which prevents the holotape from automatically being added to your inventory when you start a new game as well as removes it from Chem Station crafting list. This is used to pair with  NPCs Travel - MCM Settings Menu .

Installation

There are 3 files to install. They are independent to each other but do compliment with each other, so choose the one(s) as you prefer. 

1. NPCs Travel - Male Takeover

Soft Requirement :  More Different Male Face + All Male Takeover 1.0.6  by @love7732851 . If you don't have that mod installed, then Raiders, Gunners and Harbormen might spawn as females. 

This file by itself will make most of the human NPCs in NPCs Travel become males. This mod doesn't overwrite any vanilla records, and thus if you want all the NPCs in NPCs Travel spawning as male, then you are supposed to have "More Different Male Face + All Male Takeover" installed as well. 

If used on a current playthrough, then it will need several in-game days for NPCs to reset. 

2. NPCs Travel - Outfits Fixes

• Fixes a bug that Children of Atom might spawn withou any outfits. 
• Integrates some vanilla clothings and armors leveled lists for all the NPCs in NPCs Travel. As a result, these NPCs will have access to the mod-added outfits if you use a lot of leveled lists injection or leveled lists manual hard edits. We can see a lot of men traveling around the Commonwealth with more diversity of apparels. 
• Optional in FOMOD installation : Removes all the headwears, eyewears and masks from some NPCs in NPCs Travel. Therefore, we can see their faces clearly. This optional plugin only works for some NPCs in NPCs Travels, otherwise it will require to overwrite some vanilla records which is prevented in this mod. But I do have a plan to apply this to all the vanilla random NPCs.  

3. NPCs Travel - Remove Holotape

This file does what it says in its title. It will prevent the holotape of NPCs Travel from automatically being added into your inventory upon a new game. Besides, it also removes it from Chem Station crafting list. This is only intended to pair with  NPCs Travel - MCM Settings Menu .

If not, you could very likely just be making it worse loading a save that can never be salvaged from your broken or incompatible mods. Did you test a totally vanilla, no mods, New Game before cramming in mods to be sure it worked right without the mods? If it was having audio issues before mods were involved, it would point to hardware issues, maybe drivers that kind of thing. With all those mods in place--who freakin' knows what could be causing it.

How to Access the Prydwen Store in Fallout 4 (Armory Key Location)

Fallout 4 is one of Bethesda's biggest IPs, and it is chock-full of entertainment for fans. There are endless possibilities, whether players want to join factions, build settlements , look for secret locations , or just travel the world to see what happened during the war.

One faction that players can join is the Brotherhood of Steel . This faction originally worked to help survivors acclimate to their new homes; however, it slowly became a military force. The faction has noble goals, but their techniques are not. During their questline, players can enter the Prydwen and loot its armory ; here's how.

Fallout 4's Connection to Fallout 1 Controversy Explained

The Prydwen is part of the Brotherhood of Steel questline and acts as one of their headquarters. It is a ship that the Brotherhood created that flies above the Commonwealth. Players will first be introduced to the ship during the main story quest, Reunions. The Prydwen will land at the Boston Airport in this quest, allowing players to finally get on the massive airship. From there, players can enter the ship via the airport, while also unlocking the ship as a fast-travel location once they have been on it.

Once onboard the Prydwen, players will want to know everything the ship offers. The ship has four main areas: the flight deck, command deck, main deck, and forecastle. Each area is complete with NPCs, areas to explore, and even some merchants. Players will spend most of the time on the main deck, where places such as the armory can be found.

Fallout 4: Best Armor Sets, Ranked

Proctor Teagan's Armory (or the Prydwen Armory) is located on the main deck's middle level toward the north. This armory holds items such as an X-01 Power Armor Helmet , Gauss Rifle , Fat Man , a couple of mini-nukes, a fusion core , and some ammo. Thankfully, getting into the Prydwen Armory isn't difficult at all; players just need to either hack a master terminal , lockpick a master lock, pickpocket the key, or use an exploit.

The terminal and door for the Armory are right beside Proctor Teagan . All players need to do is either one or the other to get the door to open. However, the door is marked as owned, so players need to ensure they are not caught doing anything. Unfortunately, a good portion of players won't be able to do either of these due to a lack of skill.

The Most Powerful Weapons In Fallout 4, Ranked

If hacking and lockpicking don't work, players can steal the key from a Brotherhood Knight-Captain . This NPC will be found walking around the main deck of the Prydwen. All players will need to do is approach the NPC, sneak up on him, and pickpocket the key from him. Then, take the key back to the Armory and use it on the door. Remember, players will not want to get caught doing any of this.

The final way to enter the Armory is by using an exploit. Players have found that if you enter into V.A.T.S. (press the Q button if on PC), they can have their player attack Proctor Teagan with their fists. Before actually hitting him, players can cancel the attack and will be transported into the Armory. While a lot of players have noted that this works, it is extremely difficult to do if players haven't done it before. Make sure to save before trying this trick, just in case.

Fallout 4’s Free Next-Gen Update is Now Available

The free next-gen update for Fallout 4 that developer Bethesda announced earlier this month is now available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles . PC players are also getting an update today that adds widescreen support and more.

Fallout 4 was originally released back in November 2015 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and Xbox Series X|S could already play the game at 60FPS thanks to the system-level FPS Boost feature . However, today’s next-gen update adds new Performance mode and Quality mode settings, as well as stability improvements and fixes.

Here’s what Bethesda said about the new Performance and Quality modes on current-gen consoles:

Performance mode : 60 FPS target, 4k resolution, standard settings, relying on dynamic resolution scaling. Quality mode : 30 FPS*, 4k resolution, ultra settings, should not require dynamic resolution scaling. When connected to a 120Hz display, Quality mode will target 40 FPS. When connected to a 1440p display, the title will run at 1440p resolution at 60 FPS w/ ultra settings regardless of rendering mode.

On PC, today’s update adds widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, fixes to Creation Kit, and various quest updates. The PC version is now Steam Deck verified, and it’s also launching on the Epic Games Store. For players who own the game on GOG however, Bethesda said that the patch is not currently available but it’s coming soon to this platform.

Lastly, players still on Xbox One and PS4 are also getting an update today with stability improvements and quest fixes. To celebrate the launch of this next-gen update, Bethesda is also offering 3 free Creation Club content packs to players on all platforms.

Today’s next-gen update for Fallout 4 comes two weeks after the release of the first season of the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime Video. The series received critical acclaim and led to renewed interest in Fallout games, with the multiplayer episode Fallout 76 recently crossing over 1 million players in a single day . Fallout 4 is also available on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Fallout 4 Speak Of The Devil: How To Get X-02 Power Armor

One of the new sets of Power Armor in Fallout 4 is the X-02, and you need to complete a specific quest to obtain it.

One of the several new side quests to take on in Fallout 4 with the next-gen update is called "Speak of the Devil." This quest has you following after a man's journey to find a mysterious character called The Devil, who supposedly swoops in to help those in need after a specific radio station is turned on. It so happens that The Devil is wearing a set of rare Power Armor, called X-02, and plenty of people are after it.

To ensure you get to the X-02 Power Armor first in Fallout 4, follow our guide below to complete the Speak of the Devil quest. For more on the new quests in Fallout 4, use our Echoes of the Past quest walkthrough .

Starting Speak of the Devil in Fallout 4

If you have a leveled-up character in Fallout 4, the Speak of the Devil quest should automatically be added to your quest log after downloading the next-gen update. However, if you're on a new save, then you have to wait until reaching a certain point in the story before you can begin Speak of the Devil or any of the other new quests.

Speak of the Devil begins at Wattz Electronics store, which is located in the middle of the map. Here, you can enter the front door and walk across the broken floor over to a small table with a radio on it. Pick up Connie's Note and play the Black Devil Vol 1. holotape that's lying on top of it. The holotape describes some of the backstory of The Devil, and how they save innocent people when someone tunes in to a specific radio station. Reading these items starts the Speak of the Devil quest.

Following Connie's journey

After reading the holotape and Connie's note, a new quest marker appears on your map that leads to Relay Tower 0MC-810. Be careful when approaching this location, as there are raiders and a Deathclaw waiting for you. Once the enemies have been dealt with, head into the red-gated area of the tower and read Richie's Note on the dead body in front of the terminal, and pick up the AM 810 holotape. Then, you need to access the terminal and extend the satellites.

Once the satellites are fully extended, head back into the terminal and insert the AM 810 holotape. With it inserted, tune the radio to play "Stars and Stripes Forever." This makes a new radio signal appear and a new quest marker on your map, leading to the BADTFL Regional Offices. This is located right near Wattz Electronics, so fast travel back there and head over to the quest marker.

Inside BADTFL, battle through the raiders until you reach the back interrogation room, where you find Connie's body sitting on a table. Loot Connie's body and read the note she left on the table, which reads "Check the Wall." You can also loot the FM 52.7 holotape on the table. This holotape is encrypted, so you'll need to find the password to it or hack in. This is done by playing the holotape on your Pip-Boy and then looking at the available options.

If you have a Hacker +3 stat, you can break in with no problem. However, if you don't, you need to guess the password from the generated list or find it. Connie's clue of "Check the Wall" does offer the password, but I can just tell you the right password too:

This password is near the top of the list and when you click on it, you'll gain access to the holotape's data. After unlocking the holotape, a new quest marker appears on your map at the Relay Tower OSC-527. Here, access the terminal, load the FM 52.7 holotape, and then transfer the "America the Beautiful" file onto the terminal. You'll hear the famous song play and get your final quest marker at the Boston Police Rationing Site.

Getting the X-02 Power Armor

At the Boston Police Rationing Site, you need to break into the building and go through the underground tunnel. The front door to the building is barred shut, but you can throw a grenade at the door to unlock it. You can also get on the roof with a Power Armor jump, but the explosive route is easier.

Go through the tunnel entrance and then keep heading forward until you see a radio in front of a locked door with a set of Power Armor behind it. Activate the radio to unlock the door, and you'll have access to the X-02 Power Armor. You can also read the terminal behind the Power Armor to learn about the true intentions of The Devil character.

It's here where you can make a choice: Short-circuit the radio transmission, effectively killing The Devil's character, or restore the Enclave Radio, making a new radio station available. If you end the transmission, you can unlock a nearby wall safe with some loot. Activating the radio station will lock that safe for good.

Regardless of your choice, after getting into the X-02 Power Armor, a Sgt. Hodges and other enemies show up. Kill them to complete the Speak of the Devil quest in Fallout 4.

Players creating a character in Fallout 4 need to allocate some skill points into their starting stats. Some stats will be more important than others.

• Players in Fallout 4 have to set their Basic stats when they start, which ultimately affects their playstyle.
• Perception stat, for instance, is crucial for ranged builds and accuracy in VATS. Each point in Perception adds 10 Accuracy.

As well as directly adding to melee damage, the Strength stat also has an impact on how much weight and how many items the player can carry. For every point spent in Strength, the player will gain 10 Carry Capacity . The Strength perk tree is also very simple for new players, as it generally only deals with adding melee damage and similar skills.

6 Perception

Very important for ranged builds.

Fallout 4 players who prefer using powerful weapons and ranged combat over melee combat will need to have decent Perception . This is the starting stat that directly affects things such as Accuracy. When using VATS, each point spent in Perception adds 10 Accuracy, to a maximum of 95.

The Endurance perk tree has some excellent skill unlocks. There are perks that will reduce overall damage taken , and also perks that will increase resistance to radiation. There are also perks that help with sprint efficiency and the number of action points taken up by performing actions, making Endurance a key stat for most character builds.

Some players don’t bother with Charisma at all when playing Fallout 4 . It is very situational, and flies in the face of combat-focused gameplay . Put simply, players who don’t like to fight might like to try a Charisma build . However, not all combat can be avoided using speech checks.

Who would’ve thought the post-apocalypse could be such a fun time? The Fallout franchise has taken the idea of a Mad Max – like future and not only made it into a wildly popular game franchise but also a hit TV series . The core franchise has been around since the late ’90s, and yet we’ve had only a handful of mainline entries in the series since it was revived by Bethesda with Fallout 3. With Starfield in the rearview mirror and the next Elder Scrolls title currently being the dev team’s focus, it could be close to another decade before we can set foot in the wasteland ourselves once again. What better time, then, to look back at the franchise and rank all the games from best to worst?

Fallout Shelter

Well, maybe changing things too much isn’t such a good thing as Fallout 76 showed. On paper, Fallout 76 sounded like every fan’s dream game. It was going to be a full Fallout experience, but multiplayer. What could go wrong? At launch, it might be easier to list what didn’t go wrong with Fallout 76 . The game was ugly, ran poorly, was riddled with bugs, had no NPCs, boring and repetitive quests, and so on. Granted, the game has been improved a ton in the years since with many patches and expansions, but that core idea just never came together to make a good Fallout game. Something about that magic was lost in the transition to a multiplayer, persistent game.

Right alongside Skyrim, Fallout 3 is one of the most modded games of all time. Bethesda took this series and transformed it into an open-world adventure that had never really been seen up to that point. As much as there was to do in that base experience, there was a limit to what could be done. However, dedicated fans didn't let that end their fun and began modding the game with new features, quality of life improvements, and new content to extend the life of Fallout 3 to the point where you can still play it today and have an amazing time. Now that modders have had well over a decade to work with the game, there are potentially thousands of mods you can try out, but these are the best ones we've found. FWE - FO3 Wanderers Edition

Let's kick things off with a bang and talk about the FWE - FO3 Wanderers Edition mod. Calling this a single mod is kind of a misnomer since it actually integrates over 50 other mods into one massive package. The purpose is to rework the balance and depth of the game to be more fair and give players more opportunities to role-play. This mod does make the game intentionally harder than the base version. Combat is faster and more determined by player skilll. Also, which perks and skills you have make a bigger difference. Injuries need to be treated more carefully, over 40 new weapons and pieces of armor have been added, AI has been enhanced, and dozens of other changes were implemented to make the game more immersive. It's the simplest way to give another playthrough some spice. Fellout

The Sims 4 is proving to be quite the popular life simulator, and a great addition to the long-running Sims series. But when you’re always running out of money, or can’t get that item you’ve been dying to utilize, inputting a cheat code or two can make things a little easier, and much more fun (especially if you’ve been struggling). It's fair to say that Fallout 76 wasn't exactly what fans were hoping for when it launched. Instead of being a single-player RPG like Fallout 4, 3, and New Vegas, 76 was a pseudo MMO where you joined multiplayer servers to play in a persistent world. A multiplayer Falloutsounds great on paper, but the execution wasn't what people were looking for. Many years and updates later, the game is in a far better state, but not quite up to the standard of some hardcore fans. The default map in Fallout 76 looks ripped right out of a tourist's guide. That's cool for theming and everything, but not so useful when trying to find anything besides major locations. The map is surprisingly bare in detail considering how much walking around and exploring you do. Ultimist's High Detailed Map Plus rips up that old map and replaces it with a much more detailed and appealing map to navigate. It marks all the normal locations you need, plus every vendor and 440 resource deposits (which you can toggle on or off to reduce clutter).
