Following the announcement of a nationwide arena tour and a record-breaking monthly residency at The O2, London; one of Britain’s best loved comedians, Peter Kay has announced extra dates for 2023 and beyond…

The extra dates include shows in Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and more.

With an astonishing 28 th show added to the London residency at The O2.

Additionally, there will be British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted performances on selected dates.

“It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now”

“And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010”

Peter’s 2010 tour still officially ranks with the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest selling comedy tour of all time.

Peter Kay has announced his first stand-up tour in 12 years with tickets going on sale this week.

The comedian, 49, will perform at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro next year as part of a ten-date UK run beginning in December.

Kay cancelled his last scheduled tour in 2017 at short notice due to “unforeseen family circumstances”.

He has appeared at a number of charity gigs but has otherwise largely remained out of the spotlight.

His comeback was announced during an advertisement break in the series launch of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on ITV.

His statement read: “It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy, and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.

“And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35 – the same price they were on my previous tour in 2010.”

Kay’s 2010 tour broke a Guinness World Record for the biggest selling run of all time, playing to more than 1.2 million people.

Where is he performing in Scotland?

He will perform at Glasgow’s Hydro on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets for Kay’s 2022-23 tour go on sale on Saturday, November 12 at 10am at websites including Ticketmaster.co.uk and Seetickets.com.

Tickets will start from £35 but go up to £135 for ‘best seat’ packages.

O2 customers can get Priority Tickets at 10am on Thursday November 10, 48 hours before general release.

Pre-sale tickets will also be available from Thursday for OVO customers who register for OVO Live .

There will be a £2.50 handling fee added to each order.

One of Britain’s best loved comedians, Peter Kay, is finally returning to stand-up comedy after twelve years.

I went to see peter kay in glasgow and thought he was shocking. I was in row DD which was fairly close but watched the whole show on the 3 big screens provided,that I could have done on tv. His jokes were ok,not that funny. I went to the stand comedy club on 14th feb, seen a lot of famous comedians laughed all night and it cost me £20. When I think that I bought PK tickets 18 months ago, he’d have gained a lot of interest in the bank from that, I couldnt see him on stage, his jokes were ok, to be honest i think hes “peaked” as a comedian. Thank god we didnt see geraldine that day….. I thought his “my mum wants a bungalow” tour says it all. Hes a robbing B……..

Peter Kay has announced a fourth tour date in Glasgow to meet the phenomenal demand for tickets for his first shows in 12 years. The comedian will be returning to the city in 2025.

Fans of Peter Kay who missed out on tickets for his first run of Glasgow shows have been given another chance to see his comeback tour.

The comedian has added another date at the OVO Hydro for April 2025 with tickets on sale now.

We reported how thousands of fans were left disappointed after his initial Glasgow dates sold out in seconds due to phenomenal demand for his first tour in 12 years. They called for the Bolton comedian to add another show to meet demand.

Earlier this week he announced the third night on January 29, 2023. The latest announcement will give even more fans the chance to enjoy the show.

Speaking on BBC Radio 2's drivetime show, he said: "First of all, I want to say thanks to everyone who’s bought tickets to my tour and I really do appreciate it.

“We’ve finally managed to book some more extra dates."

Tickets for the 2025 show are on sale now.
