Since Take That returned nearly two decades ago, they've never really gone away.
Although Robbie Williams came and went, and Jason Orange retired from pop altogether in 2013, Gary Barlow , Mark Owen and Howard Donald have kept the flame alive.

What songs will Take That play on the This Life tour?
We don't know for sure what Take That will play on their upcoming dates, but we can take a pretty good guess that the setlist will include a number of songs from the upcoming This Life album that gives the tour its name, which is released on November 24.
The tracklising for This Life is:
- Keep Your Head Up
- Brand New Sun
- March Of The Hopeful
- Days I Hate Myself
- The Champion
- We Got All Day
- Mind Full Of Madness
- Time And Time Again
- One More Word
- Where We Are
'Windows' is a definite, being the launch single for the record, and as well as some of those newbies, we can expect a healthy smattering of hits from both their original 1990s run and '00s comeback.
We'll confidently predict that they'll play the likes of 'The Flood', 'Greatest Day', 'Shine', 'Patience', 'Pray', 'Back For Good' , 'Never Forget' and 'Rule The World'.
There's also a fair chance that the running order will be filled out with the likes of 'These Days', 'A Million Love Songs' , 'Cry', 'Said It All', 'Sure' and 'The Garden'.
We also wouldn't bet against an appearance for one or more of the band's covers of 'Could It Be Magic', 'How Deep Is Your Love' and 'Relight My Fire'.
Who is supporting Take That on the This Life tour?
Announced as support for the This Life tour is former X Factor cheeky chappy and "very special guest" Olly Murs .
Olly's relationship with Take That goes back to his reality competition days, where he performed 'Angels' with on-off Thatter Robbie Williams in the 2009 final.
He also supported Take That when they played Hyde Park in the summer of 2016.
It's not impossible that another act may be added to the bill on some or all dates, but for now it's just Olly on the undercard.
Will Jason Orange or Robbie Williams appear with Take That on the This Life tour?
Since 2014, Take That have been very much a trio.
Robbie had returned to reunite the original five-piece lineup from 2010 to 2014, but he has since focused on his solo career.
Not long after Robbie parted from the group for the second time, Jason Orange not only left Take That, but quit the whole entertainment industry .
Nothing is impossible in the wonderful world of pop, but we'd say it's pretty unlikely that Jason will pop by.
Earlier this year Mark Owen said of Jason: "I think he felt like he didn't want to do it any more."
That tallied with Jason's own words when he left the group, saying: "There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this."
Meanwhile, Gary Barlow had said: "Jason isn't coming back. Take That is Mark, Howard and me for the next few years."
And back in 2018, Howard said: "Jason has gone off the grid. He's not taking emails or phone calls or stuff like that. That's good for him."
Robbie is a very busy chap, between his solo career and long-awaited Better Man biopic , and he's only just wrapping up his XXV 25th anniversary celebration global tour at the end of 2023.
There's not been any serious whispers that he'll rock by, but he did show up with Mark not that long ago , so we've got our fingers crossed that he might consider it.

Take That has announced a major European outdoor live tour, with the itinerary frontloading Irish shows in Cork, Dublin and Belfast in June 2024. The band’s “This Life Under The Stars” tour will kick off at Cork’s Musgrave Park on June 20, before heading to Dublin’s Malahide Castle on June 21 and Belsonic in Belfast on June 2024.The band will be supported by English singer/songwriter Olly Murs.
Following on from their Irish dates, Take That will then embark on 16 more outdoor dates across eight European countries. Registration for tickets is now open for promoter pre-sale, and general on-sale begins at 10 a.m. (local) on Thursday, October 19.
Take That previously announced a full-scale UK and Ireland tour last month, “This Life On Tour.” The band will be touring their upcoming record This Life , their ninth studio album which is due to release on November 24 . The first single “Windows” is out now, marking the group’s first original composition in over five years, since 2017’s “Wonderland.”
Take That were formed in Manchester in 1988 and quickly enjoyed widespread success with their first three albums hitting the top of the charts. The group split in 1996 with the departure of band member Robbie Williams , before the remaining members reunited in 2005.
They have since become renowned for their incredible live shows; they currently hold the record for most performances at London’s The O2 with 34 headline shows, and their 2011 “Progress” tour broke box office records by selling over 1 million tickets in under 24 hours.

Masters 2024
Masters 2024: It's time to take Max Homa, golf's funny boy, seriously
Max Homa hits his drive on the 15th tee during the second round of the Masters.
AUGUSTA, Ga. — For the unacquainted, his solemn, intense energy can be unnerving, uncomfortable even. Most tour pros carry themselves in a similar manner, but it’s not what you expect from Max Homa. He’s the funny guy, the goofy guy, the guy who can give as much as he can take. That’s not this guy, who’s tearing his glove off with his teeth, ignoring the calls of his name by the many who surround his group. Who’s staring a hole through the ground as he walks with a hurried soberness. Homa has the seriousness of a substitute teacher, anticipating the nonsense his presence seemingly welcomes but having none of it.
Eventually, the realization comes that who he is online is merely a persona, and the player standing before you is a man at work. Through two days of the Masters, the work has been good and then some, as Homa’s near the top of the board with a two-day six-under total.
“Obviously been quite difficult out there,” Homa said. “I struck the ball really well. I've really done everything quite well on the golf course, but most proud of what's gone on with our course management and just controlling thoughts and expectation and all that.
“So it's been fun, and I feel like ... these conditions have helped almost lean into the patience and all the things you hear, the clichés. So I feel like I've done a great job of that and then hit some good shots alongside that.”
RELATED: Masters 2024: Zach Johnson yelling 'F--- OFF' towards patrons might be the wildest move in Masters history
We suppose it’s not a total shock to see Homa near the top. He’s won six times on the PGA Tour in the last three years, and despite a so-so start to this season he’s still 11th in the world. In that same breath, in four previous Masters starts Homa has failed to crack to the top 40. Despite his improved play over the past few years, he’s still mostly known as the tour’s comic relief who turns into a supporting character on the biggest stages.
Homa also seemingly had the misfortune to be paired with Tiger Woods in the first two rounds of this Masters. Rory McIlroy once said the crowd that engulfs Woods' every move costs Woods' opponents two shots a tournament and that number might be three when it comes to this tournament. Despite its spacious confines Augusta is not the most conducive for spectating. Fans jostle for prime real estate hoping to catch a glimpse of Woods, a process for Woods’ playing partners that means dealing with noise and moving scenery and a general indifference to what you’re trying to do. Homa should know; he missed the cut in his other major start with Woods at the 2022 Open at St. Andrews.
However, it appeared Homa learned his lesson, for while Woods continues to be the center of the Augusta universe, it was Homa emitting solar radiation. He came out on the tough side of the Round 1 draw, the afternoon wave almost two shots higher in score. Not that you would know by Homa’s card. He finished his first 13 holes in four under when play was called to darkness on Thursday, and picked up where he left on Friday morning, birdieing the 16th and nearly holing out for eagle at the 17th.
Following a brief intersession between Rounds 1 and 2, Homa continued his red-figure surge with birdies at the second and fourth. The fourth deserves special mention. Only the 11th played tougher on Friday, with a strong, constant gust coming off the left of the 240-yard par 3. Homa went with a 7-wood and carved it to 35 feet. He converted what was left for one of five birdies at the fourth on the day. “That hole was impossible,” Homa said, “and somehow we made it 2. I like that one.”
Max Homa pulls a club during the second round of the 2024 Masters.
The rest of the afternoon, he did his damndest to hold on as Augusta did its best to throw him off. The wind was strong and the putting surfaces firmed up. This was not a day for highlights; the only goal was to make it to the clubhouse without a sequence the highlight shows will later show to illustrate the day’s difficulty. On that front, mission accomplished: Homa played the final 14 in one over.
“That was about as happy as you could be to be off of a golf course,” Homa said. “That was so hard. We got the sand shower to end our day. So it was kind of even the golf course saying get the hell out of here. It was nice. It was hard.”
What comes next is harder. Homa’s growing star has now reached the echelon where his blessing is a curse, his increasingly impressive résumé not judged in its totality but instead surgically dissected by what he does in the four weeks that matter the most. His major record has been lacking, just two top-20 finishes in 17 starts.
Homa hasn’t done particularly well with heightened expectations, most notably last summer at Los Angeles Country Club. He was a hometown favorite at a track where he owned the course record and didn’t even make the weekend. It’s worth remembering that Homa, 33, has been considered one of the game’s better players for less than three years, and it can be unfair to distill the entirety of Homa and his story to 16 rounds a year. But professional sports are a results-oriented business and in golf majors are the barometer and price of stardom. He is trending in the right direction, notching his first major top-10 last summer at the Open. He was undefeated in his Presidents Cup debut in 2022 and was one of the lone bright spots for the American Ryder Cup team last fall. This rodeo is only halfway through, yet that Homa hasn’t been thrown off while Augusta’s been at her meanest is proof what we saw at Hoylake was not a fluke.
“He's got all the talent in the world,” Woods said of Homa afterward. “I got a chance to play with him at [the Old Course], and his ball flight, as solid as he hits it, it's just a matter of time before he starts winning in bunches. I saw it up front; he doesn't really mis-hit shots. That's something you just have to do around this golf course.”
RELATED: Masters 2024: Bryson DeChambeau rips sign from ground as wild second round continues
It’s also easy to be excited about what may lay ahead. Golf requires the utmost faith in who you are and what you can do, and make no mistake, Homa’s not short on confidence; you don’t reach the heights he has without it. Yet Homa is unique in recognizing vulnerability isn’t mutually exclusive to conviction. His popularity is correlated to his Twitter jabs, many of which are funny and sharp. However, that does not define him. What makes Homa special is his relatability, for that online persona allows a window into the depths of a struggle others try to keep unseen. He hasn’t hid from his mental battles, or that he’s a work in progress. It’s an openness that might not be for everyone. It’s also a rarity from athletes and shows a character this game desperately lacks from its marquee attractions.
Of course, there’s a difference between telling and showing, and this is a tournament where showing is required. Homa was asked what he hoped to show himself this week.
“I think regardless of outcome, I'd like to maintain this outlook I have on how I'm playing golf,” Homa said. “Good shot, bad shot, doesn't really matter. Did I go through my process? Did I commit to my shot? And once it takes off, I might as well close my eyes. I'd like to see if I can continue to do that this weekend. I think that's something I would like to take with me going forward.
“And yeah, just having a bit of moxie, I guess. I feel like I showed it the last couple days, especially yesterday the first few holes playing with Tiger in front of a lot of people at the Masters, and played some great golf. So I know I have that one in me. I'd like to see if I have the mental discipline for a whole week. I'm going to hope for that one."
So no, Homa isn’t the comic relief. He’s a contender for the green jacket, and a serious one at that.

How to take a picture of the solar eclipse with your phone
I t’ll be gone in a flash — complete darkness for Monday’s solar eclipse will last up to 4 minutes and 28 seconds depending on where you are in the path of totality when the moon blocks the face of the sun.
A picture lasts much longer — and some photographers have long been prepping for the big moment.
Astrophotographer Stan Honda told CNN last week that he’s aiming for Fredericksburg, Texas, with the hopes of clear skies. Though he’s planning to carry four cameras, you don’t need that many to capture the ultra-rare event.
“With pretty much any kind of camera or any lens, you can get a good picture of the eclipse,” Honda explained. “I would just recommend a fairly sturdy tripod, to make your setup pretty steady, and a remote shutter release, because that allows you to take the pictures without jarring or moving the camera too much.”
Here are some other tips to help get that once-in-a-lifetime shot.
To fully experience the total eclipse, you’ll need to be located along the more than 100-mile-wide path of totality, from Texas to Maine.
You’ll also need a pair of solar glasses to shield your eyes and a solar filter to protect your smartphone’s camera from sunlight damaging the lens and overexposing your shot.
Ready-made smartphone solar filters include the VisiSolar Smartphone Photo Filter and the Solar Snap Eclipse App Kit , Live Science reports .
You can also make your own solar filter by holding or taping the lens from a spare pair of solar glasses over the lens of your smartphone camera, according to Dr. Ralph Chou , a professor emeritus of optometry and vision science at the University of Waterloo.
Once you’ve secured your solar filter, you’ll want to make sure you manually set the focus and exposure.
“The automatic settings just won’t work with the filter on, because most of the frame will be black, so it’ll be like taking a picture at night,” Honda told CNN. “Manually focusing would be a big help, too — you can autofocus on the sun, but then you have to disable the autofocus so that your camera doesn’t try to keep focusing through the filter. It’s so dark that it’ll be fooled by the darkness, and it won’t be able to focus.”
To manually set the focus on your phone, tap the moon on your screen.
On an iPhone, a small sun icon should appear to the right of the focus box. Drag the icon up or down to adjust the exposure.
Android users will need to hold their finger on the moon on their screen for several seconds before moving their finger left or right to adjust the focus.
Photographers will also want to turn the flash off for a clear photo.
As you zoom in, you often lose the quality of the photo depending on the device, so be careful with how close you get.
The iPhone 15 Pro boasts a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom — which the Washington Post reports will yield the best quality — and up to 15x digital zoom.
Samsung Galaxy S Ultra phones have 3x to 10x optical zoom. The Space Zoom feature allows zooms up to 100x.
But if you don’t have these fancy phones, you can purchase a $20-$50 telephoto lens attachment for 12x to 18x the view.
You should also practice with the iPhone’s burst mode feature — which takes multiple photos at once — before the big show.
The solar eclipse is expected to last about two-and-a-half hours, but the most stunning part of the event is known as the “diamond ring,” which occurs right before the eclipse reaches totality and just after.
“It’s this very bright section of the sun, just on one corner of it — it looks like a ring with a diamond on it, and that lasts for just a few seconds, maybe 10 or so,” Honda said.
Use the burst mode for your best shot at capturing the diamond ring.

Tens of millions of Americans will have spent the day staring at a total solar eclipse, and at least a few of them may become worried that they inadvertently damaged their eyes.
But experts say there's no need to panic — the vast majority of eclipse viewers are probably fine. And even if somebody did strain their eyes, the effects could be temporary.
During the 2017 total solar eclipse it's estimated that 150 million Americans viewed the event. There were around 100 documented cases of eye damage across all of America and Canada, according to Ralph Chou, an expert on eclipse eye safety with the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Far more people turned up in emergency rooms worried that they'd damaged their eyes. Many complained of watery eyes or blurred vision, but in most cases they were fine, according to Avnish Deobhakta, an ophthalmologist at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, one of the largest eye hospitals in the nation.
The reason it's hard to do real damage is simple — the human eye has evolved to avoid staring directly at the sun.
"It's so bright that we're not actually capable of looking at it without either tearing or sort of not really feeling comfortable staring at this ball of light," Deobhakta says.
Shots - Health News
Here's what it looks like when you fry your eye in an eclipse.
In the rare case that someone does damage their eyes, that damage usually shows up as a blurry spot in the field of vision , hours or up to a day after watching the eclipse. In about half of cases, the problem fixes itself, but permanent damage can sometimes occur.
Anticipating the post-eclipse ocular anxiety, at least one eye clinic in Buffalo, N.Y., is offering free eye checks immediately after the eclipse on April 8.
It's always a good idea to get your eyes checked, whether or not there's an eclipse. So if you're worried at all, go ahead and use the opportunity to schedule your annual exam.

For the second time in their careers, Little Big Town and Sugarland have come together to interpret a 1985 pop hit. The country groups performed “Take Me Home,” off Phil Collins’ No Jacket Required album, onstage at the 2024 CMT Music Awards in Austin on Sunday. In 2008, LBT and Sugarland, along with Jake Owen, performed the Dream Academy’s hit “Life in a Northern Town” at the CMT Awards.
Onstage at the Moody Center, Little Big Town kicked off the performance with Jimi Westbrook and Karen Fairchild taking the first lines as smoke, lights, and lasers swirled around the group. Then Sugarland made their appearance: Jennifer Nettles’ massive voice announced their presence, before Kristian Bush had his turn in the spotlight. In fact, all six vocalists — including LBT’s Kimberly Schlapman and Philip Sweet — had a solo moment.
