When your parents are Hollywood superstars Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman , it can be hard to stay out of the spotlight. But Connor Cruise has managed to maintain his privacy and carve out his own life outside of the limelight.

Connor was adopted by Cruise and Kidman when he was 1 month old and was reportedly homeschooled (via Hollywood Life ). After his parents split, Connor and his older sister, Bella, decided to stay with their dad and remain members of the Church of Scientology. Despite the fact that she rarely speaks about her two oldest children, Kidman has made it clear that they are still very much a priority for her. "They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions," she said (via Hello! ). "They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them."

When he was younger, Connor gave acting a try and landed supporting roles in 2008's "Seven Pounds," starring Will Smith, and 2012's "Red Dawn" remake, where he costarred alongside Chris Hemsworth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (via IMDb ). Connor then transitioned into working as a professional DJ under the name "DJ C-Squared" (via The Things ) and even released his own track on Spinnin Records (via Your EDM ). However, it appears that he gave up that career sometime in late 2016 (via Daily Mail ).

Although he has two famous parents, Connor Cruise has managed to live a relatively private life. After dabbling in acting and DJ'ing, Connor now spends most of his time as a deep-sea fisherman. The 26-year-old lives in Clearwater, Florida, and has even competed in fishing tournaments. In 2018, his team came in 3rd for the Rotary Club of Clearwater's Kingfish Tournament (via Distractify ). In addition, Connor has an Instagram account dedicated to his love of grilling called "Connor's Meatshack." 

As for his personal life, Connor reportedly married fellow Scientologist — an Italian woman named Silvia Zanchi — in 2019. Zanchi is thought to be a high-ranking member of the Church of Scientology, and there have been rumors that the marriage was arranged. The couple is rarely seen out in public together, and Zanchi doesn't appear to be active on social media. Sources are quick to point out, however, that Connor seems very happy with his life.

"Connor has a pretty simple life in Clearwater," a source told People . "He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked."

Connor Cruise had a day out with his dad! On Saturday, Tom Cruise and his 28-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, were spotted out and about in New York City.

The father-son duo was seen walking to an AMC theater in Times Square for a promotion of Tom's upcoming film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning . Also with them was the 61-year-old actor's older sister, 63-year-old Lee Mapother. 

Tom looked casual in a black button-down shirt, jeans and sunglasses that were giving Top Gun vibes. As for Connor, he sported a gray collared shirt, jeans, sneakers and a backpack.

Just a month or so prior to being spotted out with his dad, Connor shared a rare photo of himself on social media .

In the image, Connor poses in a blue checkered polo shirt, shades, and a hat while flashing a peace sign and hanging with two friends. The pic was taken at Belleair Country Club in Belleair, Florida, a city just a few miles away from Clearwater, Florida, where Connor has lived since 2019.

While public appearances from Connor  are few and far between , he has been photographed alongside his famous father on multiple occasions over the years, including an appearance at a 2021 Los Angeles Dodgers game in San Francisco.

In addition to Connor, Tom also shares 30-year-old daughter Isabella Cruise with Kidman, and 17-year-old Suri Cruise with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

Details About Tom Cruise's Relationship With His Son Connor

When Tom Cruise was married to Nicole Kidman , the couple adopted a son, Connor Cruise , and a daughter, Isabella Cruise. After the couple split, Cruise married Katie Holmes, and they had a daughter together, Suri Cruise. It has been reported that the "Top Gun" star has distanced himself from Suri as she is not a member of Scientology. The Hollywood A-lister has, however, maintained a relationship with his two other children, and is rather close with his son.

In 2016, the Daily Mail offered a glimpse into Connor's life in Clearwater, Florida, where he drove a GT Mustang and spent time deep sea fishing on his $500,000 boat paid for by his father. He also spent ample time at the Scientology headquarters located in Clearwater where he was given star treatment. "The security treat him like a god, they look starstruck whenever he arrives and practically queue up to high-five him and say hello," a source told the Daily Mail at the time. Similar to his dad, Connor was heavily involved in their religion and lived in a Scientology community. "High-level church officials think it's imperative Connor carries the torch," the insider added.

Formerly, Connor was a DJ, but he had pivoted to focusing on deep-sea fishing. He runs a business, Connor's Meat Shack , which provides, "Wagyu, brisket, burgers, chicken, and ribs on chars, flats and smokers," according to the company's Instagram page. Over the years, Connor has bonded with his dad over shared passions.

Tom Cruise's devout faith is well-known, and it is something that his son Connor Cruise has adopted as well. "Connor has been able to remain close with Tom because of Scientology," a source told People in 2019. The "Mission: Impossible — Fallout" actor was photographed with Connor in 2019 as the two boarded a private helicopter. Not only was it a rare public appearance for the father-son duo, but the pair was headed to the International Association of Scientologists together. "Tom and Connor stepping out together in London was a big deal," the insider added.

While the two do not make many public appearances together, they are supportive of one another behind the scenes. When the 2023 Academy Award nominations were announced, Connor showed support for his pops with a post on his Instagram Stories, listing the six nominations "Top Gun: Maverick" had nabbed, along with a row of trophy emojis, per Hello!

Even though Connor is the son of one of Hollywood's biggest stars, he leads "a pretty simple life in Clearwater," and spends a lot of time deep-sea fishing, a source told People in 2018. Connor's passion for fishing comes from time with his dad. "We used to go fishing a lot when I was a little kid," he told People in 2016. Another hobby of his as a kid was music. "I started DJing in my bedroom when I was about 13," Connor added. Tom was a supporter of his son's musical career.

When Connor Cruise was still pursuing a career as a DJ, he played a show in London and Tom Cruise showed up to give his support. "Tom walked in and went straight over to Connor and hugged him," a bystander told People in 2012 while mentioning that the "Edge of Tomorrow" actor stayed for the set to watch his son play. That same year, Connor returned the favor and supported his dad at work. He visited the set of "Oblivion" in 2012, which was an important time to be supportive as Tom Cruise had just finalized his divorce from Katie Holmes. There were claims that Tom's devotion to his faith had caused the split. "Let me be very clear about this. The Church of Scientology played absolutely NO ROLE in the divorce settlement talks at all. Period," the actor's lawyer, Bert Fields, told E! at the time. Four years later, while Tom was working on "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back," Connor once again dropped by to visit his dad. The pair exchanged a "loving hug" before parting ways, per People.

While Connor has grown closer with his father thanks to their shared involvement in Scientology, his faith has been rumored to cause a rift between himself and his mother, Nicole Kidman. When Connor tied the knot with a fellow Scientologist in 2019, Kidman was reportedly not invited to the ceremony, per Tom Cruise's wishes. Fore! Connor Cruise, the 28-year-old son of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, took a moment during his golf game to snap a rare selfie.

Tom Cruise has been a pilot, a secret agent, a bartender, and a vampire. One thing he hasn’t been in a movie, it seems, is a golf pro – so his son, Connor Cruise , picked up that slack on Apr. 29. Connor, 28, snapped a shot of him at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, giving the thumbs up while standing on the course. The adopted child of Tom, 60, and Nicole Kidman looked good in his dark blue striped polo and shorts.

Before that, Connor hadn’t posted anything on his IG since August 2022. Connor participated in a fishing trip as part of the “Providing Meals On Reels” campaign to feed the hungry. “Got it done yesterday with the boys. 301# Warsaw on the hand crank @gomx_fish @freemanboatworks @nick_chicouris_ @thereelborn2catch @fountainofyouthfishing #TopFish,” Connor captioned a video of him standing next to a giant grouper. The fish looked as tall as a man, and a follow-up post said that he donated “over 300 lbs. of Warsaw Grouper ” for the charity campaign.

Connor doesn’t often post on social media; when he does, it’s usually about how he likes to fish. He’s also behind @ConnorsMeatShack, an Instagram account dedicated to his efforts in the culinary arts. However, he hasn’t been that active on the account. He last posted in January, reminding everyone to “ render your fat! ”

In June 2022, Connor hung out with The Sandlot star Patrick Renna in Santa Monica, California. The two were seen having dinner together at the iconic Italian eatery Capo located on Ocean Avenue. After the meal, they took a moment outside the restaurant to talk briefly before going their separate ways.

Tom appeared alongside Connor in 2021 when the two caught a baseball game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants. Since then, Tom and Connor haven’t made any public appearances together.

In March 2023, Page Six reported that Tom “has not seen [ Suri Cruise ] in a very long time” and that he “is not part of her life.” Tom and Katie, Holmes ‘s daughter, was six-years-old when her parents divorced in 2012, and he hasn’t been photographed with her since a trip to Disneyland that same year. Tom remains estranged from his daughter and his ex-wife, with allegations that his affiliation with the Church of Scientology claiming that’s the reason behind the rift.

Tom Cruise and son Connor made a rare appearance together in New York City Saturday.

The “War of the Worlds” star and his 28-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, stepped out in the big apple for a promotional event for Tom’s upcoming film “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning.”

Tom wore a black button-up with blue jeans and black shoes. He completed the simple look with reflective aviator sunglasses and a silver wristwatch.

The “Top Gun: Maverick” star’s son also dressed casually for the event, wearing a gray collared shirt with blue jeans and sneakers.

The actor’s sister Lee Mapother also tagged along with the father-son duo.

Tom and Connor have made a handful of public appearances together in the past, including a 2021 Los Angeles Dodgers game in San Francisco, Calif.

Tom, 61, also shares daughter Isabella with Kidman, 56, whom he was married to from 1990 to 2001. They adopted Isabella and Connor in 1992 and 1995, respectively.

As for Tom’s son, the “Seven Pounds” star seems to lead a low-key life outside of the spotlight.

Connor appears to enjoy fishing and playing golf in Florida. He also avoids posting photos of his A-list parents on his social media.

Isabella, who goes by Bella, also stays relatively under the radar . She moved from Los Angeles to live with her husband, Max Parker, in London.

After Tom and Kidman divorced, the two kids chose to stay with their dad in Los Angeles while the “Big Little Lies” star resided in Australia.

In 2018, Kidman made a rare statement about her relationship with her children.

“I’m very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is,” she told Australia’s Who magazine .

She also remarked on her children’s decision to pursue Scientology like their father. The actress left the church in the ’90s.

“They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them,” she said, adding that Connor and Isabella are “adults.”

“And I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here.”

She added that she believes her “job as a parent” is to “always offer unconditional love.”

Meanwhile, Tom also shares daughter Suri, 17, with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

Holmes, 44, and the “Jerry Maguire” star tied the knot in 2006 before splitting up in 2012.

In March, sources told Page Six that Tom and Suri have been estranged for some time.

The insider said Tom had not seen his youngest daughter in a very long time and that he was not a part of her life .

After their high-profile split in 2011, Tom admitted in transcripts from his 2012 defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media that he had not seen Suri for three months after he and Holmes called it quits.

2 The Controversy

In 2018, when Nicole Kidman won a prestigious award, she thanked her husband, Keith Urban, and her bio children during her speech. However, many noticed that she had refrained from making mention of or praising her adopted children. This raised eyebrows and stirred up a hornet’s nest, suggesting that things were not so good between her and her adopted children.

1 All’s Well

When asked about his relationship with his mother, Nicole Kidman, Connor replied confidently that all was well between them. He said that the relationship between them was pretty “solid”, putting all speculation about them to rest for a while. He added that he loves his mom and does not care what people say about her. He added that, while he likes music a lot, his family takes precedence over everything and the family certainly includes Nicole.

As the son of  Nicole Kidman and  Tom Cruise , the 24-year-old's personal life has been covered by a shroud of secrecy. From a young age, the star and his parents maintained the utmost privacy, but every once in awhile, the public gets a view of the elusive figure. 

Thursday night was one of those rare instances when Connor was spotted out and about. A bearded Cruise was seen leaving Beverly Hills restaurant Madeo in a navy long-sleeved shirt, which was rolled up to show off an array of tattoos, and black jeans. 

The middle child of the Cruise kids appears to be visiting the Los Angeles area, since he currently lives in Clearwater, Fla. with his father.

Cruise and Kidman adopted Connor and his older sister  Bella during their marriage, which ended in 2001. 

Their family-of-four has since moved to different places across the globe, with Nicole living in her native Australia with husband  Keith Urban  and their two daughters, and sister Bella living in London with her husband, who she wed in 2015. As for Tom, his home base is in Clearwater, Fla. with Connor, where the Church of Scientology has its headquarters. 

According to  People , Connor has his own home in "a Scientology community" and devotes his time to deep-sea fishing. 

Despite the distance between Bella and Connor to their mother, Bella has shared that they are a "very close family."

"I love mom. She's my mom. She's great. I see her sometimes and I speak to her," the eldest of the family told  Australia's  New Idea  magazine in 2012 .

Likewise, Connor has said that he and his mom "are solid." 

And while Nicole rarely discusses her relationship with her children, who remain in the Church of Scientology, she recently spoke about the mutual respect they have for one another. "They are adults," Nicole said about their children. "They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them."

Connor Cruise has a new passion — and it has nothing to do with spinning records.

The 23-year-old son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman was a DJ for years. He was playing big gigs at the age of 16 , and his career took him everywhere from Las Vegas to Australia. He even had a DJ alias, D.J. C-Squared, which he went by for a minute. But he has put that on the back burner for a new pursuit: fishing.

Now living in Clearwater, Fla. — yes, home to Scientology’s international headquarters — Connor has been spending his days deep-sea fishing, often with the company 2 Shea Charters, and he’s good. Earlier this month, he and his fishing team came in third in the Rotary Club of Clearwater’s Kingfish Tournament.

Prize winnings for the tourney were just over $1,000 for the group — considerably less than his DJ paychecks, which were $10,000 for a two-hour set back in 2012 (so probably considerably higher at the end of his run). We suspect his paycheck for Red Dawn , his first major film, was much larger than even that.

The tabloid Radar Online reports that Cruise’s passion is actually a profession. He works “as a deep-sea fishing deckhand” for 2 Shea Charters. He “guts off a boat deck” and then “works for peanuts filleting finny critters caught by tourists who have no idea he’s the son of Hollywood royalty.”

According to the article, he starts his day at 5 a.m., “heading out with groups that pay $850 for six hours of angling.” A source said, “He loves being out on the water, so this is really a dream job for him.”

A rep for the charter company hasn’t yet responded to Yahoo’s inquiries, but he is featured on the company’s Instagram page.

As for that DJ career, a rep for SKAM Artists, which booked gigs for him, tells us, “He hasn’t really DJ’ed in a while.” After he missed a gig the night of and gave no notice, they “somewhat have stopped sending him work.” That explains why when you land on his page on the SKAM website, it notes, “There are currently no scheduled events for Connor Cruise.”

Connor also worked with William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, and his bio had been deleted from the company’s website. The last photo he posted promoting a gig was in 2016, though a Tampa newspaper reported in September that he was going to DJ a local Halloween party in October.

One look at Connor’s Instagram page makes it clear that he’s enjoying his life on the water.

He posts photos of his catches all the time. And he’s called “Captain Connor.”

Connor’s life isn’t all fish guts. According to Radar Online, he hasn’t given up all his “privileged connections.” He lives in a three-bedroom townhouse. He owns a boat that costs $500,000. He drives a flashy bright yellow Mustang GT. And he also regularly dines on “five-star meals” at Scientology’s “ultra-private hotel, Fort Harrison.”

His father, a Scientology bigwig, recently bought a new home in Clearwater after selling off much of his L.A. real estate. Connor, who ended a relationship last year with a surfer and fisherwoman named Phylicia Bugna, reportedly has limited contact with his mother, Nicole Kidman, since she divorced Tom and left Scientology all those years ago. (Though he has always said nice things about her.)

As for Connor’s siblings, he seems to stay close to his sister, Bella, who was also adopted by Tom and Nicole. She recently launched a T-shirt line and — in a surprise move — incorporated Kidman’s name into the business . (Bella has also reportedly had little contact with Kidman, who married Keith Urban and lives in Nashville with their two daughters.) Meanwhile, his younger half-sister Suri — from Tom’s marriage to Katie Holmes — turned 12 on Wednesday. But Tom hasn’t been spotted with Suri in years, so we imagine for Connor it has been even longer.

T om Cruise, one of Hollywood's biggest names, has never been one to shy away from the spotlight. The actor, known for his action-packed roles and captivating performances, has recently made headlines once again, this time for his extravagant penthouse in Florida.

The luxurious property, which is estimated to be worth $10 million, is located just a few blocks from the Church of Scientology headquarters in Clearwater, Florida. Recently, never-before-seen photos of the sprawling apartment were revealed.

From the photos, it's evident that Tom's penthouse is nothing short of breathtaking. Massive floor-to-ceiling windows line an entire section of the apartment, allowing for stunning views of the surrounding areas. The photos also capture several balcony areas and the palatial outdoor space, complete with an infinity pool, hot tub, gardens, and a bar.

The SkyView building, where Tom's apartment is located, is reported to have been altered to accommodate the mega-star. The apartment itself boasts more than 20,000 square feet of space and two floors, with four bedrooms, a gym, a game room, and a home theater. 

The "Top Gun" star's Clearwater home also includes a private garage with a car elevator on the second floor, as well as a flight simulator and an office space. There's even a sports storage area for all of Tom's athletic equipment.

According to Realtor.com , the building Tom lives in was developed by fellow Scientologist Moises Agami. Tom has been a member of the controversial church since 1986, and the proximity of his penthouse to the church's headquarters has raised some eyebrows.

Tom's Florida penthouse isn't the only property in his impressive real estate portfolio. The actor also has property in Telluride, Colorado, which he recently sold for a jaw-dropping $39.5 million. The 320-acre ranch was the location of his first major interview with Oprah, who later bought a home nearby.

The Telluride property was set in a mountain range and boasted 360-degree views. The 11,512-square-foot living space had four bedrooms, and there was also a three-bedroom guest house. Both the main home and guest house were paneled with windows, allowing for stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

As per The U.S. Sun , the interior of the Telluride property was just as impressive as its exterior, with cedar wood paneling and large boulder stone accenting throughout. The kitchen was spacious, with a wooden island, double oven, and massive fridge, and opened up to a massive living room and dining room with enough seating for a small crowd.

Of course, with great wealth and fame comes great responsibility, and Cruise has had his fair share of controversies throughout his career. His association with Scientology, in particular, has been a point of contention for many, with some questioning the church's practices and beliefs.

The 'Mission: Impossible' star is living in luxury when visiting the Florida locale.

Tom Cruise reportedly bought a Clearwater, Florida  penthouse back in 2018 to live just blocks away from the Church of Scientology headquarters in the city. The Mission: Impossible star's pad includes several astounding features, including a private swimming pool and garden. Cruise's multimillion-dollar penthouse is located in The SkyView, a 10-story condominium, according to The Daily Mail .

Cruise's adopted son Connor also moved to Clearwater. They will be living just blocks from the Scientology FLAG building, also known as the Super Power Building. It is the largest building in the city, which is located on Florida 's Gulf Coast and north of Tampa Bay.

In 2021, Cruise reportedly turned his apartment into a "fortress," sources told The U.S. Sun . The Top Gun: Maverick star reportedly installed 100 spy and infrared cameras around the building. A resident, Clay Irwin, told the outlet he spotted dozens of new cameras on the ground floor of the complex. He claimed there were new motion detectors, CCTV, infrared, and heat-seeking cameras added. Cruise still had not moved into the complex at the time of the report.

Outdoor Pool

Cruise was still finishing renovations in the apartment, PEOPLE reported in 2018. While Cruise didn't move in immediately, he has spent time there and residents saw him walking with Scientology staffers. "He's very relaxed when he's here," a Clearwater resident told PEOPLE .

Rooftop Terrace

The SkyView offers Cruise a private entrance, plus a car elevator that can take up to nine vehicles up to Cruise's private garage. Aerial images published by The Daily Mail show Cruise will have a rooftop "pool garden," "pool kitchen" and an outdoor dining area. There is also an entire room just for a flight simulator, where Cruise could practice for Top Gun: Maverick .

Room for Outdoor Entertaining

Cruise began plotting his move to Florida in 2016 when he sold his Beverly Hills mansion for $40 million. "Tom has long planned to leave L.A.," a source told PEOPLE at the time. "He doesn't need to be there for work – he's off doing movies all around the world. It's not the center of his life anymore."

This was the latest big-ticket move from Cruise, who began selling off his real estate in 2013. That year, someone took his hands off a New York City apartment for $3 million. He sold a Hollywood Hills home to Eva Longoria in 2015 for $11.4 million. He also listed his properties in Telluride, Colorado, and England.

The Vault Room

The SkyView is the pet project of Moises Agami, a millionaire Scientologist from Mexico. According to Tony Ortega , Agami submitted plans for the project in 2015. Initially, the top two floors were to be split into five apartments, but the plans were changed to turn them into one big penthouse. Ortega reported that a church official said the penthouse owner was Cruise.

Main Entryway

According to Radar Online , the rooftop pool itself cost $500,000. Aquatic Arts owner Andrew Loguercio told Radar that the pool is 13 feet wide by 40 feet long. "They call it a swim spa and the only other real feature is that it has an infinity edge," he said. Loguercio adds that the pool took at least three months to build.

Motor Lobby

Aquatic Arts owner Andrew Loguercio also told Radar that the security on the building is very tight. "Staff was very tight-lipped because it involved [Cruise]," he said. "The last time I was there, it got pretty heated. Security was everywhere and contractors had to take the elevator up to the fifth floor and check in with a security guard."

Clearwater and Scientology have clashed

Clearwater and Scientology have long had a combative relationship. In May 2018, the two sides clashed over a land swap. The City Council agreed to give Scientology three small properties in exchange for a vacant parking lot. The city hopes to use the lot to provide retail parking, and parking for the new high-rise building being built across the street, reports TampaBay.com .

"I think they want to see a vibrant downtown as much as we do, but they can't do it themselves and we can't do it by ourselves," City Council member David Allbritton told TampaBay.com . "It's been years and years that we've been butting heads with the church, and I think this may be the first step in trying to get this done together."

Cruise decided to leave Los Angeles behind, partly because he is constantly making movies abroad. "I like to learn new things and push the skills I have to the next level. I don't do anything halfway as a person," Cruise told PEOPLE .

Cruise's next movie is Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One . The movie hits theaters on July 12, 2023 and begins Ethan Hunt's final mission. Christopher McQuarrie is back as director. Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, and Vanessa Kirby are all returning alongside Cruise.

For almost 10 years, Tom Cruise ‘s home base was a Beverly Hills compound befitting one of the top-grossing movie stars of all time: a 10,000-square-foot main manor house, tennis court, swimming pool, playground and guest apartments.

But as he spent increasingly little time in Hollywood in recent years — instead making movies in London and around the world – Cruise decided to pick up stakes, selling the estate for $39 million in 2016 (he bought it in 2006 for $30.5 million.) “He made an amazing profit, and he was very involved in the process,” says a source.

Since then, he has spent much of his time living in a London hotel while filming movies including The Mummy and his new blockbuster Mission: Impossible—Fallout . But he’s also been busy renovating a penthouse apartment in Clearwater, Fla. as a new home base.

The two-story apartment, which boasts a gym, home theater and flight simulator, is just a block from the Church of Scientology’s international headquarters, and Cruise’s son Connor, 23, lives in the area, as do other Cruise family members.

“It was obvious that he didn’t want to be in L.A. any more,” says a source. “He has been filming around the world nonstop and when he is off, he prefers Florida.”

The renovations are still in the finishing stages, but Cruise has already stayed in the apartment, sources tell PEOPLE in the new cover story. “He’s very relaxed when he’s here,” says a local source. Adds Donna Li, who works nearby and has spotted Cruise out and about with Scientology staffers: “When Tom is here, he’s surrounded by people, but he really seems very happy. He’ll wave and smile, but he doesn’t really engage in conversation.”

Cruise has been a committed Scientology member since the late ’80s after his first wife, Mimi Rogers, introduced him to the religion, and is close with its leader, David Miscavige. He has credited the church with helping him find success after a difficult childhood and a struggle with dyslexia.

He told Playboy in 2012 that Scientology was “a search for how I can do things better”—but bristled at the scrutiny of his involvement: “If I don’t talk about my religion, if I say I’m not discussing it or different humanitarian things I’m working on, they’re like, ‘He’s avoiding it.’ If I do talk about it, it becomes, ‘Oh, he’s proselytizing.'”

The Top Gun actor's sprawling vacation property, which is located just a few blocks from the Church of Scientology headquarters in Clearwater, Florida , in 2017.

Photos snapped from above show massive floor-to-ceiling windows lining an entire section of the apartment .

It also captures several balcony areas and the palatial outdoor area.

Tom's apartment, located in The SkyView building, features more than 20,000 square feet of space and two floors, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

According to the outlet, the building was altered to accommodate the mega-star.

Additionally, the Oblivion star has an office space and a sports storage area.

According to Realtor.com , the building Tom lives in was developed by fellow Scientologist Moises Agami.

Tom has been a member of the controversial church since 1986.

Along with that home, he is said to have paid an additional $1,475,000 for three other condos in the same building.

It's unclear who lives in those spaces, however.

Tom has a hefty staff of people on his payroll, including several security guards.

In October 2022, the actor was forced to beef up his security amid a bitter legal battle with a former employee.

The award-winning actor and his director Christopher McQuarrie brought in an increased security presence after a disgruntled employee took aim at them after being let go from their productions.

At the time, Vanity Fair reported that the dispute kicked off after a stunt producer was told his services were no longer needed, leaving him angry and Tom and Christopher afraid of more payback to come.

The man had been hired to scout locations for stunts including a major train crash scene, though his plans were never implemented in the films.

The pair reportedly brought in heavyweight security guards to keep them safe amid concerns about the scorned stunt actor.

A source said at the time: “ Tom  and Chris are still working on  Mission: Impossible 8 , mostly in the UK, but things have got increasingly unpleasant with a former crew member and now it’s a case of taking no chances.

“It’s a bit of art imitating life, on set it’s all about heavy protection and threats and now the same thing is going on behind the cameras.

“Tom is used to having security teams around him most of the time because of his fame.

“But for Chris it’s a very new thing. Nobody is taking any chances.”

A source added: “It’s all turned very nasty, but those involved in the films are confident everything is totally fine, he’s just an angry ex-staff member.”

COLLECTING PROPERTIES

Tom has several properties in addition to his Clearwater, Florida home.
