La vacanza a Bodrum, perla dell’Egeo  è una delle scelte preferite dai viaggiatori ,  con le sue bellissime spiagge e un mare  cristallino.  Bodrum è una delle più belle città della costa Turca ed è la destinazione perfetta per chi desidera immergersi nella cultura e tradizione senza rinunciare al relax e alla movida. Il suo lungomare, ricco di locali e ristoranti offre infatti innumerevoli punti di svago oltre ad un porto sicuro dove attraccare i caicchi, tipiche imbarcazioni turche nate a Bodrum.

Bodrum ha una lunga stagione balneare che va da aprile-maggio a ottobre-novembre. Il suo clima mediterraneo vanta una primavera e autunno con temperature mediamente intorno ai 30° mentre nel periodo estivo (Luglio e Agosto) le temperature possono arrivare fino a 40°  con un tasso di umidità molto elevato. L'inverno con le piogge inizia a Dicembre fino a Marzo mantenendo comunque un clima sempre piuttosto mite.

Per chi vuole vivere Bodrum e godere a pieno della sua movida può soggiornare nel  centro della città   dove il porto turistico, il lungomare e i numerosi locali e discoteche offrono diversi punti di svago. Chi invece è alla ricerca di pace e tranquillità può optare per il noto quartiere di  Gümbet.  La sua lunga spiaggia sabbiosa permette di rilassarsi e godere delle numerose attività locali come sport acquatici e il banana boat.

La vacanza a Bodrum non è soltanto mare e movida. In questa località è possibile ammirare una delle sette meraviglie del mondo antico, la tomba fatta costruire dalla sovrana Artemisia nel 350 a.c. per il marito Mausulo. Della tomba rimangono soltanto rovine ma la costruzione fu così imponente che il termine Mausoleo venne poi usato per indicare le grandi tombe monumentali.  Un'altra delle attrazioni da non perdere a Bodrum è il possente Castello dei Cavalieri di San Giovanni, esempio di architettura medioevale nel centro del porto vecchio. Oggi è sede del museo archeologico del mare e custodisce numerosi referti archeologici. In una vacanza a Bodrum è assolutamente da fare il rito dell'hamman, tradizionale bagno turco per rigenerare corpo e anima.

Bodrum con le sue acque cristalline, offre spiagge meravigliose raggiungibili da terra e alcune solo da mare. Molti dei resort e hotel si affacciano sulla spiaggia di  Bardakci . Akyarlar a 10 km da Bodrum è rinomata per essere la spiaggia dei surfisti mentre Bagla è una delle spiagge più belle del Mediterraneo. Gümüşlük  è dotata di particolare fascino: nelle sue acque è possibile ammirare le rovine subacquee della città sommersa dell'antica Myndos. Una delle spiagge raggiungibili in caicco è  Kaarada Kara Adasi. Pagando una quota d'ingresso è possibile fare il bagno nelle acque minerali e cospargersi il corpo con fanghi curativi. Per le famiglie  Bitez è la spiaggia ideale: le sue acque turchesi e il fondale basso sono perfette per i nuotatori meno esperti.

Considerata la capitale della movida turca, Bodrum offre numerosi spunti di divertimento con locali, pub e discoteche con dj-set locali e internazionali. La vita notturna di Bodrum si concentra principalmente sul lungomare, nella bar street nel cuore della città vecchia e nella località di Gumbet. Il lungomare ospita numerosi beach bar dove è possibile intrattenersi per l'happy hour in attesa delle feste serali. Qui si trova una delle più famose discoteche turche l' “Halicarnas Disco" in grado di ospitare fino a 5.000 persone. La Bar street è un sentiero lungo un chilometro e mezzo ricco di pub, discoteche, raki bar e narghilè bar dove è possibile fumare il narghilè magari sotto un cielo stellato.   Il villaggio di Gumbet infine offre un divertimento notturno alla portata di tutti frequentato soprattutto da turisti britannici.

Per muoversi a Bodrum è possibile utilizzare i tipici “ Dolmus “: piccoli pulmini da 8 a 15 persone che collegano il centro della città con le diverse località e le spiagge più importanti. Per motivi legati alla sicurezza e a strade molto caotiche il noleggio di auto è preferibile rispetto a quello di moto. Con l'auto è infatti possibile raggiungere località più lontane come Pamukkale o Efeso. Le strade sono ben tenute e le autostrade, a pagamento con la carta kartı HGS, collegano le principali città.

Città natale di Erodoto, è considerata la località balneare più graziosa della costa con le case bianche, i vicoli lastricati, i negozi eleganti, le belle spiagge e il mare limpido. Famosa anche per la sua movida, specialmente durante il periodo estivo, con i numerosi locali e ristoranti.

Bodrum si affaccia sul Mar Egeo, a sud est della Turchia, è sempre stata celebre per i suoi cantieri di barche e qui venne inventato il caicco, la famosa imbarcazione esportata in tutto il mondo. Visitandola è possibile fare un tuffo, non solo in un meraviglioso mare, ma anche in un passato ricco di storia, di cui l’attrazione principale è il Castello medievale di San Pietro, bellissimo esempio di architettura del XV secolo, conservato in ottimo stato. Venne eretto su quello che un tempo era un isolotto, è formato da cinque torrioni, ospita uno splendido giardino dove prosperano molte specie di piante e, nella zona interna, una delle parti più antiche è la Cappella di Cavalieri. Punto panoramico per eccellenza è il teatro del II secolo a. C. a Göktepe, sulla sommità di una collina da cui si gode una vista mozzafiato. Gli amanti delle spiagge hanno l’imbarazzo della scelta e tra le località più belle spiccano Gümbet e la Baia di Bitez, ideali per chi ama il surf, Ortakent, Karaincir e Akyarlar con le loro distese di sabbia fine.
