Bones Joins Forces With Xavier Wulf & Eddy Baker For 2023 “InLovingMemory Tour”

Facebook icon

Presale Tickets Available Starting on Wednesday, April 5; General Onsale Begins on Friday, April 7 at 10 AM Local Time on LiveNation.com

Today, kindred spirits and key figures in the hip-hop underground, Bones, Xavier Wulf , and Eddy Baker, announced they will hit the road this summer for BONES x Xavier Wulf x Eddy Baker: The InLovingMemory Tour , the first-ever co-headlining tour by these three artists, and Bones’ first time back on the road in four years.

Produced by Live Nation and Rolling Loud, the 20-city tour kicks off  at Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA, on May 20, and includes stops across the U.S. in Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO: and more before wrapping up at the Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ, on June 22.

BONES, Xavier Wulf, and Eddy Baker have been doing their thing away from the limelight for over a decade, creating their own strain of hip-hop in the dark corners of the internet. The three artists consciously avoid the hip-hop mainstream, but they’re still doing numbers: TeamSESH CEO BONES recently earned his first-ever GOLD certification from the RIAA for his 2014 hit “ HDMI ,” while Hollow Squad CEO Xavier Wulf went GOLD with his 2014 Blood Shore Season 2 cut “Psycho Pass.” BONES, Wulf, and Baker recently treated fans to a preview of the upcoming tour, joining forces on the main stage during Rolling Loud California 2023 .

The tour announcement continues as busy 2023 for BONES. He recently shared TheWitch&TheWizard , a haunting album created with longtime TeamSESH producer Greaf , a close collaborator of BONES who co-helmed his surrenderdorothy and OREGONTRAIL side projects. In March, BONES and Eddy Baker teamed up for “YellowStone ,” the first single from Jones Peak , their upcoming collaborative album. The first album by BONES and Eddy Baker as a duo since 2019’s cult favorite SparrowsCreek , Jones Peak arrives on April 14 via TeamSESH / EMPIRE .

TICKETS:   Tickets will be available starting with presales beginning on Wednesday, April 5 with the general onsale beginning on Friday, April 7 at 10 AM local time at LiveNation.com.

NEWS... BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Fans struggling to get refunds after ‘disrespectful’ 00s pop group postpone entire tour

(L-R) Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas, and Joe Jonas perform onstage

After a triumphant first leg in the US , 00s icons The Jonas Brothers have infuriated their fanbase as they postpone all their concerts in Europe.

The trio — Kevin , Joe , and Nick Jonas — announced ‘exciting projects’ that meant they had decided to hold off on the next section of their Five Albums One Night tour.

This announcement has not sat well with ticket-holders, many of whom had booked accommodation and travel in order to see the Sucker hitmakers in the next three months.

‘We have shifted the European dates to later this year, but that is only because we have some exciting projects that we’re very excited to share with you at a later point,’ Nick shared.

He continued: ‘European fans, we love you, we can’t wait to see you, it’s been long overdue. And we are so excited to play these shows later this year, in the fall.’

Kevin chimed in that gig-goers should hold onto their tickets as they will still be valid in October, however, it seems disappointed fans are now demanding refunds.

https://www.instagram.com/p/C5lit73r3XW/?hl=en

Across social media the band has been denounced by their loyal followers , as Samariya Mileth vented: ‘Honestly… what the F is wrong with the Jonas Brothers management?

‘At this point, they’ll have 0 fans left outside US. They just postpone shows like it’s a walk in the park, it happened in Mexico (more than once) and now happened in Europe. So disrespectful and disappointing.’

The change of dates moves gigs from May and June — competing with Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour — to September and October, when schools go back.

On X, Isabel Sofie added: ‘Jonas Brothers rescheduling their tour without a decent apology is just so so disrespectful. Yes life happens, but so does the life of the fans who have planned everything around these dates.’

What the heck kind of project just sprung up out of nowhere that was SO important that its worth wasting your fans’ money? What, another music video or something? This project cant wait? Also why start or agree to a project knowing you are busy with a tour? Disrespectful. — Whitney H (@DancingShadow18) April 12, 2024
This is really disrespectful and shows that you’re only interested in 💰 you can’t do that 1 month before the show. Are you going to pay the hotels and flights that we already bought months ago??? Been a fan since the beginning and I’m really disappointed — Beatriz Navarro (@navarrob95) April 11, 2024
@jonasbrothers I paid for tickets to your show in June and I am feeling incredibly disappointed that you have moved your dates due to “exciting projects”. There wasn’t an acknowledgment of this disruption in your communications. No sorry, no option for refunds. This is not okay. — Asha!!💞 (@AshaAshasutton) April 12, 2024

However, it may be more than an apology needed at this point as fans took to social media to lament the difficulty in accessing refunds.

Many rescheduled travel and accommodation or cancelled where possible but particularly those with tickets to Milan have struggled to get their money back.

Commenting on a viral TikTok by @mentallygrowing247, Connie Austin shared: ‘I’m from the uk and bought tickets to see them in Milan, we tried to get a refund but couldn’t because the show wasn’t cancelled and the organisers haven’t authorised it.’

Mara replied: ‘Same for Milan!!!! I live in Greece booked for Milan, and I’m trying to get a refund back and I got no response from vivaticket.’

Joe Jonas on stage

Other helpful fans asked if Connie had contacted the seller, to which she replied: ‘Yeahh we emailed them and they explained that because it isn’t cancelled we can’t get a refund – we’re going to keep trying.’

Vivaticket appeared to be a sore spot for Italian fans, especially as the website’s FAQ states service fees for buying the tickets are not part of the refund.

In response to the Jonas Brothers’ tweet, X was flooded with people asking how to get their money back as no easy route was to be given in emails received by ticket holders.

Word-of-mouth seems to be how many fans have accessed refunds, with the solution being contacting contact customer services and arguing their case.

UK fans who purchased through Ticketmaster appear to be able to get a full refund by reaching out to the distributor, with many already seeing money back in their banks.

It’s unknown how many fans are requesting refunds but if social media is anything to go by, the Jonas Brothers could be looking at a very low turnout.

Some have speculated they may even end up cancelling after the immense backlash and possibly empty seats.

Currently, Australia is hosting the former Disney stars but fans have reported slashed prices on the doors as venues in Melbourne and Sydney failed to be filled.

Aussie fans complained that tickets previously costing $200 are now being flogged for $80 and even ‘free’, according to some last minute gig-goers.

However, other videos showed a packed out venue dancing away to SOS, Lovebug, and other hits.

The Jonas Brothers will now come to the UK for eight gigs in early September, with tickets still available through Ticketmaster.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Live Nation, Vivaticket, and the Jonas Brothers for comment.

Insider Today

The music industry has begun to feel the effects of the coronavirus outbreak, which has killed more than 43,000 people so far . Massive festivals have been canceled or postponed, and many artists have been forced to take similar actions with tour dates.

Dr. Daniel Griffin, an infectious disease physician specialist at Columbia University, told Rolling Stone that all concerts — from clubs and amphitheaters to arenas and stadiums — should be shut down for the foreseeable future .

"The concern we're seeing now is that, as we have an increased capacity to do testing, we're seeing that this virus is already widespread in the country," Dr. Griffin said. "You go to a concert, there's that many people and that level of transmission that occurs at a concert. Unfortunately, those will be big spreading events."

Indeed, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended that all gatherings and events of 50 people and more be postponed until at least May .

Insider rounded up music festivals, tours, and concerts that have already been impacted by the coronavirus.

Aerosmith Postpones Farewell Tour to 2024 as Steven Tyler Fractures Larynx in Addition to Vocal Cord Injury

The rock band shared on Friday that all of their remaining 2023 Peace Out tour dates will be rescheduled to 2024

Aerosmith is pausing their farewell tour after it was found that Steven Tyler had sustained an additional injury.

On Friday, the rock legends shared a statement on Instagram announcing that the remaining 2023 concerts on their farewell tour will be postponed to 2024, citing frontman Tyler's recovery from a newly discovered fractured larynx. The news comes two weeks after the band announced that the frontman “sustained vocal cord damage” and that they would need to reschedule six of their September concerts.

The group featuring the current lineup of original members Brad Whitford , Joe Perry , Tom Hamilton and Tyler, as well as new drummer John Douglas, opened up about the singer’s condition in a post dedicated to their fans.

“Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought,” the “Dream On” band wrote. “His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers continued, “He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.”

Tyler himself also shared how “heartbroken” he is at the change of plans for the group and their openers, The Black Crowes. The vocalist added, “I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can!”

The group explained that all shows of their farewell tour, known as Peace Out, will be postponed for sometime in 2024, with new dates announced in the near future. Refunds will be available for those no longer able to attend.

In mid-September, the “Sweet Emotion” band revealed that Tyler received doctor’s orders “not to sing for the next 30 days,” leading them to postpone a handful of their September shows in Detroit, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Raleigh, North Carolina and Cleveland to 2024.

“I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding,” Tyler shared in a statement at the time. “We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”

The Grammy winners were only three shows into their tour when they rescheduled their September dates. Peace Out opened in Philadelphia on Sept. 2 at Wells Fargo Center and the group played a hit-filled setlist including favorites like  “Love in an Elevator,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk This Way,” among others.

Original members Hamilton, 69, Perry, 73, Whitford, 71, and Tyler are scheduled to carry out the remainder of the Peace Out tour, while original drummer Joey Kramer has been replaced by Douglas, 77. Kramer, 73, took a “ temporary leave of absence ” from the band in March 2022, sitting out the band’s Deuces Are Wild Las Vegas residency . His wife, Linda, died at age 55 in June 2022 .

The band put the Las Vegas residency on hold for a period starting in May 2022 when Tyler entered a treatment program for relapse after undergoing foot surgery to prepare for the band’s return to the stage.

“As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years,” the band shared in a statement at the time. “After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery.”

Aerosmith continued their Vegas shows in September 2022 , but Tyler’s health scuttled their plans to play in December.

"On the advice of my doctor, I'm taking more time to rest," Tyler said in a December statement . "There is nowhere we'd rather be than on stage surrounded by the greatest fans in the world."

Recent tour reviews

Monday 30th July, Jazz Cafe, London, St Paul and the Broken Bones. Thankfully after my last visit here for Anderson East where the temperature was somewhere between Saharan and the surface of the sun, the aircon has been fixed, sort of. Its couples tonight with me and the missus where we are joined by the recently renamed ‘Monster Energy Drink’ Andy and his good lady, Helen.

I have reviewed the ‘bones’ many times on this site since we first saw them supporting Isbell in 2014 and this will be my sixth show in those four years. They are always great, it’s as simple as yet and their shows and them as a band have matured over those years into a slick soulful attack on the senses.

We were not going to pass up an opportunity to see them in a small venue like the Jazz Café as they are more used now to playing larger venues such as the Roundhouse later this year. On to the show. After requests for Paul Janeway’s vocals to be turned up the sound man got his act together after a couple of songs and from then on in it’s a tour de force of superior musicianship and Janeway’s remarkable voice. It’s not just the voice, he is the complete showman strutting round the stage, getting down and dirty for a boogie, chucking his sequinned shoes all over the shop and generally playing to the crowd reminiscent of Freddie Mercury in his pomp.

With a new album out soon the band showcased a couple of new songs which fitted in perfectly to the set. There’s obviously room for old favourites like ‘Call Me’ and ‘Broken bones and pocket change’ plus new to me ‘Convex’ which I loved.

Another great show from this band who continue to grow musically. If you get the change its live where you have to appreciate them best. Can’t wait for the next time.

Keep on southern soul rockin y’all

Have loved there music since day one. After seeing them on CBS Saturday I was hooked. The music is amazing. Janeway's voice will make you roll your eyes in disbelief. The concert was amazing! The horn section made the hair on my arms stand up straight, the guitar players were perfect, keyboards as well, and the drummer....after the concert I realized I had paid little attention to but in retrospect...did exactly what Janeway said when he introduced the band members....kept them all in time. When the crowd brought them back for an encore they played four more songs!! I've never seen anyone other than Bruce Springsteen do that! Wow! The only disappointment for me was that they didn't play "Like a Mighty River". I'm over that though, I would tell everyone I know to jump at the chance to see them!!

Another great show by St. Paul & The Broken Bones, this time at Lawn on D in Boston's Seaport District. Lawn on D is a open air park with an ad hoc stage that was lit up by St. Paul & The Broken Bones. I have seen this band five times in the past 3 years starting with a monumental show at the Paradise in 2014. This show had all the passion of past shows with a great set list of both old and great new material. The highlights were a burning rendition of "All Torn Up" early in the set, a great take on Van Morrison's "Workin" with the Broken Bones sounding smokin' hot. The crowd was delirious during "Call Me" and the finale of "Burning Rome" was near epic. Everyone should see this band perform.

More: Aerosmith Peace Out: See the setlist for the iconic band's farewell tour

Why did Aerosmith postpone their farewell tour?

After playing only a handful of concerts in September, the “Walk This Way” heroes had to hit pause after singer Steven Tyler damaged his vocal cords. He also fractured his larynx and was given doctor’s orders not to sing for 30 days.

But Aerosmith opted to give Tyler ample time to recuperate and scuttle all of their shows until 2024.

The wiry frontman known for his searing rock yowls, said at the time that the injury occurred at a Sept. 10 show in New York and that the vocal cord damage “led to subsequent bleeding.”

What songs can fans expect to hear at Aerosmith’s farewell shows?

USA TODAY was there for opening night of the Peace Out tour Sept. 3 in Philadelphia. As the tour is also a celebration of the band’s 50 years in the music industry, the setlist reflected their vast catalog.

The band – Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton and guitarist Brad Whitford, along with drummer John Douglas filling in for Joey Kramer – sounded in peak form for their deserved victory lap.

Songs ranged from singalong rock smashes “Livin’ on the Edge,” “Sweet Emotion” and “Rag Doll” to the rarely played album track “Adam’s Apple” and a dip into Aerosmith’s blues roots with “Hangman Jury.”

2024 Masters Tiger updates: Recap Thursday, Woods through No. 13 when Round 1 suspended

Woods stood 1-under through 13 holes, two inside projected cut line

Change Text Size

You can't win the Masters on Thursday, but you can lose it, as the adage goes. Tiger Woods didn't lose it.

After heavy storms overnight delayed the Masters' start by two-and-a-half hours Thursday morning, Woods teed off at 3:54 p.m. ET and stood 1 under through 13 holes as play was suspended due to darkness, an encouraging start as he seeks his sixth green jacket – and a record 24th consecutive Masters made cut.

But Friday will be a different animal for Woods. The first round resumed at 7:50 a.m. ET, just over 12 hours from when play was suspended Thursday night. Woods will finish the final five holes of his first round, take a short break and then head out for his second round tee time at 10:18 ET. How will his body hold up with the short recovery time and 23 holes on Friday? That's the central question.

"The body is okay," Woods said Thursday night. "We've got some work to do yet tonight."

After undergoing ankle surgery following a WD during the third round of last year’s Masters, Woods returned to PGA TOUR competition at The Genesis Invitational in February, where he opened in 1-over 72 but withdrew during the second round due to flu-like symptoms. The Masters is Woods’ first start since withdrawing at The Genesis, and he said Tuesday that he still believes he can contend and win. That’s why he’s here, after all.

“If everything comes together, I think I can get one more,” said the five-time Masters winner on Tuesday.

His play so far validates that belief.

Woods started fast on Thursday with a birdie at the par-4 opening hole, his first Masters-opening birdie since 1999, and he remained steady as the conditions dried out in the afternoon. Woods, 48, made bogey at the par-3 fourth but responded with a two-putt birdie at the par-5 eighth, turning in 1-under 35. He made three straight crafty up-and-down pars on Nos. 10-12, then escaped the trees en route to par at the par-5 13th, his final hole of the day.

"The wind was all over the place," Woods said Thursday evening. "It was one of the most tricky days that I've ever been a part of. It was hard to get a beat not only on what direction it was going, but the intensity, and it kept switching all over the place, and then you had to – the timing was affecting putts on the greens. It was a very difficult day."

Woods entered the week on a streak of 23 consecutive made cuts at the Masters, sharing the all-time record with Fred Couples and Gary Player. He'll have a chance Friday to hold that record alone, but expected windy conditions (up to 34 mph) should offer a challenge for Woods and the field at large. Woods was tied for 17th, six back of leader Bryson DeChambeau, as play was halted for the evening. DeChambeau posted 7-under 65 earlier in the day, one clear of world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler's 6-under 66.

Read below for a hole-by-hole look at Woods' opening round at Augusta National.

Hole 18 (par 4, 465 yards): Tiger has great rhythm with the driver, with another perfectly placed tee shot in the 18th fairway. It's a mighty encouraging sign as the first round finishes up and Woods readies for 18 more holes. It's a 287-yard drive. He has 171 yards into the closing par 4.

After Max Homa's approach got swallowed up by the wind and found the right greenside bunker, Woods plays a nearly identical shot. The wind impacted those shots much more than either player anticipated. Woods will need an up-and-down to finish even-par for the first round.

Nearly more short game magic for Woods! His bunker shot comes just inches from hitting the flagstick. Instead, it races by and Woods has more than he bargained for -- 16 feet for par. He gets the putt to the hole but doesn't play enough break. He closes with a bogey.

Woods finishes with an opening-round 73. That's a solid result given his lack of competitive reps, though Woods is surely disappointed after he was 1 under through 13 holes when play suspended Thursday night. He won't have much time to dwell on the finish. His second round tee time is scheduled for 10:18 a.m. ET. He has around 45 minutes to grab some food, keep the body loose and get ready for 18 more holes.

Woods shoots 1-over 73

Hole 17 (par 4, 440 yards): It's another low, fading bullet with the driver that finds the fairway. Woods is 3-for-3 in fairways hit this morning. That's a great sign. He's hit 77% of the fairways in this first round, slightly better than the field average.

With 158 yards into the green, Woods pulls 9-iron and plays the smart shot, leaving himself below the hole. He will have 23 feet for birdie. After a few shaky iron swings to start the morning, Woods has hit two solid ones with his tee shot on 16 and now this approach.

Woods leaves his birdie putt short. That's three putts left short in his opening four holes of the day. But it is another stress-free par. Those are always welcome at Augusta National, particularly on the 17th.

Woods even-par thru 17

Hole 16 (par 3, 170 yards): Woods pulls 7-iron after watching Jason Day put one in the water with the same club. The 82-time PGA TOUR winner doesn't make the same mistake. Woods safely lands it 20 feet past the pin and uses the slope to get it on the same plateau as the hole. He will have 20 feet for birdie.

It's a quick putt, meandering slightly left to right. Woods handles it with care but doesn't give it quite enough pace. That will be another par for Woods. He's 1-over since play resumed today but has made two relatively easy pars after that opening bogey.

Woods even-par thru 16

Hole 15 (par 5, 550 yards): Woods’ drive finds the fairway but it will be a lay-up with 273 yards remaining into the green. He does just that, leaving himself 70 yards. It's a tricky wedge shot on a severe downslope and Woods can't control the spin as the ball rolls off the back of the green. Woods' ball-striking has been iffy to start, but his touch is fully activated as he nearly holes the chip for birdie. He makes the comebacker for par.

It's a hole you'd like to make birdie, but Woods will take the par. He is clearly laboring this morning; the short turnaround time was likely going to be problematic. As the weather warms and Woods gets a few more swings, let's see how his body progresses.

Woods even-par thru 15

Hole 14 (par 4, 440 yards): Play resumed as scheduled at 7:50 a.m. ET. Woods plays his patented cut off the tee and finds the fairway. The 315-yard drive leaves him just 119 yards into the green, but Woods lays the sod over a wedge and comes up short of the green. That leaves Woods with a delicate chip, with the pin sitting on the top of a slope on the back of the green. Woods opts to hit a low spinner, but the ball releases out and Woods has 22 feet for par. The curling right-to-left putt come up just short. Woods makes bogey and drops a shot.

Woods even-par thru 14

Hole 13 (par 5, 545 yards): Woods plays a fade off the tee but overcooks it, as the ball sails into the collection of pine straw amidst a dense tree line right of the fairway. It means he can't go for the green, and he escapes the trees with a low punch shot that reaches the first cut just short of the fairway, leaving a 191-yard approach for his third shot.

Faced with a hanging lie and Rae's Creek closely guarding the green, Woods strikes a crisp iron shot that lands hole-high and stops on a dime, leaving a reasonable look from roughly 20 feet. The horn blows for darkness, allowing players to finish their current hole if they choose, as Woods walks to the green.

Woods opts to complete the hole; his right-to-left breaking birdie try pulls up a couple feet short. He makes his par to remain in red figures overnight. All in all, a promising start for the five-time Masters winner. It will be a marathon Friday as he eyes a record 24th consecutive made cut at Augusta National.

Woods 1-under thru 13

Hole 12 (par 3, 150 yards): As the twilight begins and the wind continues to gust, Woods pulls 7-iron and flies it over the green, a trend that has emerged with his mid-irons on this Thursday. The ball settles in the pine straw roughly 30 feet past the hole, but once again he displays a sublime short game with a softly played bump-and-run that trundles to 6 feet.

Woods drains the par putt, his third straight crafty par save as darkness approaches at Augusta National. He'll head to the par-5 13th tee.

Woods 1-under thru 12

Hole 11 (par 4, 520 yards): Woods has played this hole a cumulative 17 over across his career, but he has no such trouble on the tee shot Thursday, striping it down the fairway's left side as he begins Augusta National's famed Amen Corner. Faced with a lengthy second shot from 209 yards, he strikes it well with a long iron but the ball perhaps catches a gust of wind; it lands in the front fairway and settles some 80 feet short of the hole.

Woods' magnificent short game is on display once again, as he executes a high flop shot that lands softly and releases to tap-in range. He saves par, his second straight impressive up-and-down to begin the back nine. Darkness will approach soon; it appears he might only complete one more hole Thursday. Onward to the famed par-3 12th across Rae's Creek.

Woods 1-under thru 11

Hole 10 (par 4, 495 yards): Woods positions a fairway metal safely in the fairway's right side on the majestic downhill par 4, but he misses the green right with his second shot from 216 yards, leaving a slippery greenside bunker shot.

Ever a short-game magician, Woods has no troubles with his third shot from the bunker, playing a nifty splash shot that lands in the fairway cut and releases to leave a 4-foot uphill par putt. The patrons roar with deserving approval. He drains the par putt, dead center, to stay in red figures.

Woods 1-under thru 10

Hole 9 (par 4, 460 yards): Woods is finding a comfort zone off the tee, striping this drive 312 yards, perfectly positioned in the fairway's right side, leaving a good angle from 169 yards. He selects an 8-iron that tracks toward the hole, but the ball can't reach the back tier on which the hole is positioned; the ball lands on the ridge beween tiers and rolls back onto the green's middle tier, leaving a 33-foot birdie putt.

Woods' uphill birdie putt has solid pace but grinds to a halt 2 feet short. He cleans up his par to turn in 1-under 35, a promising start to the Masters. He stands T15 at the turn, six back of leader Bryson DeChambeau. He's two inside the current projected cut line of 1 over.

Woods' playing partner Max Homa turns in 3-under 32. Safe to say the group's vibes are high.

Woods 1-under thru 9

Hole 8 (par 5, 570 yards): Woods blisters driver down the right-center of the fairway, utilizing a high cut that puts him in position to reach the green in two. He does just that with a bold strike from 242 yards, the ball landing softly on the green's right collar to leave a 40-foot eagle putt.

Woods leaves his eagle try 5 feet short, but the birdie putt slides into the cup's right side. With his second birdie of the day, he's in red figures once again.

Woods 1-under thru 8

Hole 7 (par 4, 450 yards): Woods tugs a fairway metal just left of the fairway, the ball settling in the first cut but requiring a low punch to elude a dense grove of trees. He plays his 171-yard second shot accordingly, a low bullet that tracks toward the hole but can't clear a front greenside bunker.

Woods' bunker shot is a short-game master class, the ball landing some 10 feet short of the hole and releasing beautifully, leaving a 2-footer to save par. He has no trouble doing so.

Woods even-par thru 7

Hole 6 (par 3, 192 yards): Woods takes an aggressive line with a mid-iron; the ball tracks toward the hole's left side and lands roughly 15 feet short-right of the hole, but it catches the slope and feeds back onto the green's front portion, leaving a cross-country birdie try up a tier from 42 feet.

In what could be either a misread or a mis-hit, Woods' birdie putt misses short and right of the hole, leaving a knee-knocker for par. He has no trouble, though, draining the 5-footer for an adventurous two-putt par.

Woods even-par thru 6

Hole 5 (par 4, 495 yards): Woods pulls driver on the demanding par 4 and plays a feathery cut that splits the fairway's right-center portion. The five-time Masters winner hoists a mid-iron from 200 yards that lands softly on the green's proper level, offering a mid-range birdie try.

Woods' 16-foot birdie try has a good line but isn't struck hard enough, settling a couple feet short. He cleans up his par to remain level on the round.

Woods even-par thru 5

Hole 4 (par 3, 177 yards): Woods flushes an iron on Augusta National's first par 3; similar to his third shot on the par-5 second, the ball flies too far, settling in the second cut just beyond the green. He faces a slippery downhill chip, the green sloping away, and bumps the ball into the fringe on a line some 20 feet left of the hole; the ball releases onto the green and rolls well past, leaving a 25-foot par attempt from the front portion of the green's back section.

Woods' par putt is well judged, but the right-to-left bender just misses on the hole's right edge. He taps in for his first bogey of the week.

Woods even-par thru 4

Hole 3 (par 4, 350 yards): Woods settles in with the driver, playing a tight cut that eludes the short par 4's myriad fairway bunkers, the ball traveling 334 yards down the middle. From roughly 70 feet, he plays a bump-and-run second shot into the hill that releases just past the hole, leaving a 12-foot birdie try.

Woods can't convert the birdie, as he plays too much break on the left-to-right slider; the ball stays out on the left side. He taps in for a comfortable par, remaining in the Thursday red.

Woods 1-under thru 3

Hole 2 (par 5, 585 yards): Woods pulls driver but is unhappy with the swing immediately; he points to the left as the ball misses the fairway on the left side. The ball travels 319 yards, but it settles just inches from a tree's thick base, with 237 yards remaining to the hole. After some analysis and deliberation, he turns an iron upside-down and makes a left-handed swing, advancing the ball roughly 40 yards back into the fairway, enough to offer a clear angle for his third shot to the green.

Woods selects a 6-iron for his third shot from 190 yards; he stripes it but the ball flies too far, settling in the fairway cut beyond the green's back side. He plays a pitch-and-run with a mid-iron for his fourth, the ball not getting more than a few inches above surface level; it releases through the fringe and rolls to 5 feet. "Absolutely brilliant," said analyst Dottie Pepper. The slippery downhiller has some right-to-left movement, but he drips the par putt into the hole's left center with sublime pace. Crisis averted.

Woods 1-under thru 2

Hole 1 (par 4, 445 yards): Sporting a salmon shirt in his new Sun Day Red branding, Woods stripes a fairway metal with plenty of left-to-right movement, the ball starting down the left side but cutting back perfectly to the center of the fairway. He doesn't miss a beat on his second shot from 169 yards, striping a short iron to 8 feet. The patrons roar in approval.

Woods takes advantage of the early opportunity, as the right-to-left breaker curves into the center of the cup with perfect pace. Birdie to start. It's the first time since 1999 that he has carded birdie on his first hole of the Masters.

Woods 1-under thru 1

Masters Start Delayed: How To Watch And Who To Follow (Not Named Tiger Woods)

The Masters, golf’s most celebrated tournament, will tee off Thursday, albeit a few hours later than expected, with plenty of major storylines to follow in 2024’s first major, such as the 48-year-old Tiger Woods staging his longshot bid to capture a record sixth title and ongoing drama between the sport’s fractured leadership amid the power struggle between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf.

Always a big draw, Tiger Woods is far from the favorite at this year's Masters.

The Masters announced Thursday its start time will be 2.5 hours later than expected due to rain, with the first official shot from the first hole slated for 10:30 a.m. EDT.

That will push back the scheduled start times for all golfers by several hours, with first-round action likely pushing into Friday as golfers at or close to the final tee time of 4:30 p.m. are highly unlikely to finish 18 holes before the sun sets over Augusta National golf club at about 8 p.m.

Among the most notable Thursday tee times are six-time major winner Phil Mickelson at 12:06 p.m., 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama at 12:48 p.m., reigning Masters champion Jon Rahm at 1 p.m., the world’s two top-ranked golfers Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy at 1:12 p.m, Woods at 3:54 p.m. and last year’s runner-up Brooks Koepka at 4:06 p.m. (full list here ).

The traditional Masters television broadcast will be on ESPN from 3-7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and CBS from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday and 2-7 p.m. on Sunday, while the Masters’ website and mobile app will feature free streams of alternative broadcasts, such as ones following featured golfers, all tournament long.

Key Background

The first of men’s golf’s four major tournaments, the Masters is beloved by many for its quaint nature, evidenced by its old-time concession menu, ban on spectator phones and limited commercials. Woods, the richest and perhaps most celebrated golfer ever, said this week he believes he can compete for one more Masters win despite a host of health issues, hoping to become the oldest Masters winner in history. As has been the case for majors over the last two years, the Masters is clouded by off-the-course drama involving men’s golf’s two major organizing bodies, the incumbent PGA Tour and the Saudi-funded LIV Golf outfit. Rahm is the most recent notable defector to LIV, inking a reported $300 million-plus deal with the tour eight months after his Masters win, joining the likes of 2023 Masters runners-up Mickelson and Koepka and 2020 Masters winner Dustin Johnson. Majors are the only tournaments where LIV and PGA Tour golfers share the course, as the PGA Tour banned LIV Golf defectors from playing in its regular events, and a planned merger between the two organizations—a controversial agreement—has yet to come to fruition.

$1.50. That’s how much the Masters’ famous egg salad and pimento sandwiches will go for at Augusta National this week. Johnson, who was the world’s highest-paid golfer last year at $111 million, could buy some 74 million pimento sandwiches based on his gross pay.

Who Is Favored To Win?

Scheffler, the 2022 Masters winner and winner of five PGA Tour events over the last 14 months, is by far the betting favorite to don the green jacket come Sunday at +400, according to FanDuel Sportsbook odds, giving him implied probability to win of 20%. McIlroy is the next most-likely winner according to betting markets at +1000 (10% implied odds to win), and other favorites include Rahm at +1100 (8% implied odds to win) and Koepka at +1800 (5% implied odds). The veteran fan favorites Woods and Mickelson are longshots given below 1% implied odds at +15000 and +30000, respectively.

Legendary rock band Aerosmith schedules finale of 'PEACE OUT' farewell tour in Buffalo

bones tour postponed

The iconic rock band Aerosmith announced additional dates for their 'PEACE OUT' farewell tour — and Buffalo appears as the final stop.

The final tour has 40 stops across the United States from September through February, according to an announcement on the band's Facebook page .

Aerosmith has been a cornerstone of American rock music since the band formed in Boston in 1970. With one of the most recognizable lead vocalists in music, Steven Tyler, the band has left a significant impact on the industry, producing chart-toppers 'Dream On' (1973), 'Sweet Emotion' (1975) and 'Walk This Way' (1975) among many other notable songs.

Here's what we know about the show in Buffalo.

When and where is the Aerosmith show in Buffalo?

The announcement posted to the band's Facebook page shows the tour finale of Aerosmith's 'PEACE OUT' farewell tour on Feb. 26 at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, rescheduling from the band's canceled show from earlier this year.

Why did Aerosmith reschedule its Buffalo show?

The band's Buffalo performance scheduled for Jan. 16 was postponed after Tyler damaged his vocal cords during the Sept. 9 show in Elmont. He was initially advised by doctors to rest his voice for 30 days, according to USA TODAY , but sustained additional damage, including a fractured larynx that led to subsequent bleeding.
