Biggest concerts, comedians coming to Tampa Bay, Sarasota in October, November, December

The biggest names in pop, rock, hip-hop, country, r&b, blues and stand-up comedy set to visit the greater tampa bay area over the next three months..

comedy tours tampa 2023

Fall's recent arrival may mean the summer blockbuster tour season is coming to a close, yet fear not if you're a lover of live music and stand-up comedy, as some of the biggest names in both are among the touring acts set to visit Tampa Bay over the next three months.

The first week of October alone, there'll be one of today's most popular stand-up comedians, a touring festival headlined by a country music legend, and the Clearwater-founded Hooters celebrating its 40th birthday with a hometown concert featuring a famed pop-rock group. Another iconic rock band is set to visit a few days later on its farewell tour making a stop at Tampa's Amalie Arena, with that venue's calendar also including a stand-up comedy superstar and a pop/hip-hop hitmaker (with one of Tampa's own opening the show.)

You'll find plenty more notable rock, pop, country, R&B, blues and stand-up comedy shows throughout the next three months at our various local venues, including Sarasota's Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall . To help keep track of it all, here are our picks for the biggest concerts and comedy shows visiting Tampa Bay in October, November and December, presented in chronological order. Event details are subject to change.

Oct. 5; Mahaffey Theater, St. Petersburg; themahaffey.com

Matt Rife has become one of the most popular comedians working today without a big film or TV role to his name thanks to social media, with more than 16 million followers on TikTok and several million views on his stand-up specials "Matthew Steven Rife" and "Walking Red Flag," both self-released this year on his YouTube page. Need further proof of his popularity? Nearly every date on his ProbleMATTic World Tour is currently sold out, including his two St. Pete shows.

Outlaw Music Fest

Oct. 7; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, Tampa; livenation.com

Outlaw country legend Willie Nelson headlines the touring festival, with other acts including folk rock favorites The Avett Brothers and Gov't Mule, featuring former Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes. Wildwood, Florida-born country singer and "Outlaw Country" radio host Elizabeth Cook and Particle Kid — aka Micah Nelson, Willie's son — round out the lineup.

Oct. 7; The Sound, Clearwater; rutheckerdhall.com/the-sound

Clearwater-founded casual restaurant chain Hooters celebrates its 40th anniversary with a concert in its hometown at the recently opened The Sound, with Chicago headlining. Still featuring founding members Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane and James Pankow, Chicago is known for '70s and '80s hits such as "25 or 6 to 4," "If You Leave Me Now," "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" and "You're the Inspiration."

Oct. 11; Amalie Arena, Tampa; amaliearena.com

Update: Aerosmith announced Friday morning that it is postponing all remaining dates on their "Peace Out" farewell tour, including their Tampa show.

Aerosmith recently rescheduled multiple dates on their "Peace Out" farewell tour due to vocal cord damage sustained by lead singer Steven Tyler, but as of press time, the rock legends whose members also include guitarist and part-time Sarasota resident Joe Perry were still on for their Tampa concert. They'll be joined by The Black Crowes, a headlining act in their own right — in fact, they'll headline the Mahaffey Theater the following night .

Who lives here? Most famous celebrities with homes in Sarasota and Bradenton area

Jonas Brothers

Oct. 12; Amalie Arena

Although the group comprising brothers Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas rose to fame in the '00s, eventually pursuing solo careers and splitting up in the '10s, the Jonas Brothers came back stronger than ever when they reunited in 2019, scoring their first No. 1 single "Sucker" off their comeback album "Happiness Begins" (which also landed at No. 1.) The group released their follow-up, simply titled "The Album," earlier this year.

Oct. 13; Amalie Arena

Although he's arguably as well-known these days for playing in the Grateful Dead offshoot Dead & Company, John Mayer first became famous as a solo singer-songwriter/guitarist, and he returns to Tampa while on a solo acoustic tour. He'll be joined by Grammy-nominated singer JP Saxe, whom Mayer has collaborated with on multiple songs.

Oct. 14; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Jelly Roll is one of country music's rising stars, yet his success doesn't stop at that genre, with this year's album "Whitsitt Chapel" topping Billboard's rock album chart and landing at No. 3 on the overall Billboard 200. The diversity of his own influences is apparent from his tour's openers, ranging from fellow country star Ashley McBryde to rap group Three 6 Mafia to "Ex's & Oh's" rocker Elle King. (Country singer Chase Rice and rapper Struggle Jennings open the Tampa show.)

Oct. 18; Amalie Arena

After topping the bill at 97X's Next Big Thing at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in 2019, The 1975 returns for another headlining show in the area at Amalie Arena. The group is one of today's most commercially and critically successful rock bands, though they've also garnered headlines from frontman Matty Healy's off-stage behavior, including a controversial appearance on "The Adam Friedland Show" and a rumored relationship with Taylor Swift.

Clearwater Jazz Holiday

Oct. 19-22; The Sound; clearwaterjazz.com

There might not be much actual jazz at this festival, but you will find blues stars Buddy Guy (on his farewell tour), Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Christone "Kingfish" Ingram; iconic soul singer Gladys Knight; and The Beach Boys, sans Brian Wilson but with the Good Vibrations Orchestra. Other notable performers include Chicano rockers Los Lobos, bluegrass band Trampled by Turtles and at least one jazz act: New Orleans institution Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Tampa R&B Music Experience

Oct. 20; Amalie Arena

Rescheduled from an original date earlier this year, this concert will feature R&B hitmakers such as Tyrese (though he's arguably better known these days as a star in the blockbuster "Fast & Furious" film franchise), Monica and Ginuwine (whose hit "Pony" served as an unofficial theme song for the Tampa-set and shot "Magic Mike" series.) 112, Silk, Tweet and Tank round out the lineup.

Roseanne Barr

Oct. 20-21; Capitol Theatre, Clearwater; rutheckerdhall.com

Stand-up comic Roseanne Barr found great success with her sitcom "Roseanne," which was briefly brought back for a 2018 revival series before being canceled following a racist tweet by Barr about former Obama administration official Valerie Jarrett, resulting in a spinoff series "The Conners" without Barr. Since then, she released her first stand-up special in 16 years, "Cancel This!," on Fox Nation earlier this year.

Tampa Pig Jig

Oct. 21; Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, Tampa; tampapigjig.com

The 12th annual barbecue competition and fundraiser also features a live music lineup sporting some big-name acts, with country star Brad Paisley headlining this year. He'll be joined by fellow country singer Riley Green, as well as a number of acclaimed folk and Americana acts including The Head and the Heart, Shovels & Rope and Amanda Shires.

Sebastian Maniscalco

Oct. 22; Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Sarasota; vanwezel.org

Sebastian Maniscalco became one of today's most successful comedians without any major movie or TV roles to his name, leading the New York Times in 2019 to ask  "How is the Hottest Comic in America Still Under the Radar?"  His first film in a leading role, this year's "About My Father," was a rare commercial and critical failure for the comedian, but he remains busy with acting roles and stand-up dates, including these two sold-out Sarasota shows.

Andrew Dice Clay

Oct. 24-25; Side Splitters Comedy Club, Tampa; sidesplitterscomedy.com ; Oct. 26-27; McCurdy's Comedy Theatre, Sarasota; mccurdyscomedy.com

The comedian rose to fame with his deliberately offensive "The Diceman" persona in the '80s and '90s, becoming the first stand-up comic to sell out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row. He still performs stand-up today, as well as acting, appearing recently in the Oscar-winning film "A Star is Born" and Emmy-nominated miniseries "Pam & Tommy."

Pied Piper's Haunted Carnival

Oct. 26-29; Armature Works, Tampa; piedpiperproductions.com

The third annual Halloween event also features a music festival, with this year's headliners including Quavo, a founding member of "Bad and Boujee" rap group Migos, along with his late nephew Takeoff, also known for his solo work and guest spots on hit songs such as Post Malone's "Congratulations" and DJ Khaled's "I'm the One." Also performing will be two big names in electronic music: DJ/producer Diplo and the group Above & Beyond.

Jason Aldean

Oct. 28; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

The most controversial song of the year so far has been country singer Jason Aldean's "Try That in a Small Town," due to its lyrics and music video filmed at a Columbia, Tennessee courthouse that was a historic lynching site, but that controversy also made the song into a No. 1 hit and cultural touchpoint that's even been referenced by Republican presidential candidates. He performs with Mitchell Tenpenny, Corey Kent and Dee Jay Silver.

Sammy Hagar and the Circle

Oct. 28; The Sound

Sammy Hagar performs with fellow former Van Halen member Michael Anthony, Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's son Jason Bonham and The BusBoys' Vic Johnson in this supergroup, which released last year's album "Crazy Times." They're not only the rock royalty concertgoers will see at this show: George Thorogood and the Destroyers of "Bad to the Bone" and "I Drink Alone" fame open, along with Florida's own Damon Fowler .

Dave Chappelle

Oct. 29; Amalie Arena

After rising to fame in the '90s and '00s, culminating with his hit TV series "Chappelle's Show," Dave Chappelle largely retreated from public life until later in the 2010s, signing a $20 million-per-stand-up-special deal with Netflix. Those specials were more divisive than his earlier work, particularly his commentary on the trans community, but he remains one of the most popular comedians alive, recently celebrating his 50th birthday with a star-studded Madison Square Garden run and receiving his fourth Best Comedy Album Grammy earlier this year.

John Legend

Oct. 29; Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center, Tampa; seminolehardrocktampa.com

Singer-songwriter/pianist John Legend is one of only a few EGOT recipients: earning an Emmy for producing NBC's "Jesus Christ Superstar" special, 12 Grammys, an Oscar for his song "Glory" in the film "Selma," and a Tony for co-producing "Jitney." He'll likely discuss career highlights such as those at this show billed as "A Night of Songs and Stories," also featuring intimate reimaginings of his greatest hits and selections from his new album "Legend."

Nov. 1-2; Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center

Dane Cook was one of the biggest comedians in the world in the 2000s, thanks to being arguably the first comic to master social media with his Myspace presence and his roles in films such as "Good Luck Chuck" and "Waiting..." (written and directed by former Bradenton resident Rob McKittrick .) He can still draw a crowd today, as his back-to-back nights of shows in Tampa would suggest.

Colin Quinn

Nov. 2; Murray Theatre at Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater; rutheckerdhall.com

Colin Quinn rose to fame as a "Saturday Night Live" cast member and anchor of its "Weekend Update" segment, along with hosting gigs on MTV's "Remote Control" and Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn." In recent years, he's mostly focused on his comedic one-man shows, several of which have been released on Netflix or HBO, with Jerry Seinfeld directing two of them.

Zac Brown Band

Nov. 3-4; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Making a big splash with their five-times-platinum 2008 major label debut "The Foundation" and their No. 1 country hit debut single "Chicken Fried," which helped earn them the Best New Artist Grammy, Zac Brown Band remain popular to this day, headlining two back-to-back nights of shows in Tampa. The country rock group's other popular songs include "Knee Deep," featuring the recently departed singer-songwriter and Florida icon Jimmy Buffett.

Gary Gulman

Nov. 4; Capitol Theatre

After decades performing stand-up and releasing multiple specials, Gary Gulman earned perhaps his biggest spotlight to date with 2019's Judd Apatow-produced HBO special "The Great Depresh," blending stand-up and documentary footage about his depression and hospitalization. Gulman visits Clearwater while touring around the recent release of his book "Misfit: Growing Up Awkward in the '80s."

Taylor Tomlinson

Nov. 4; Tampa Theatre, Tampa; tampatheatre.org ; Nov. 5, Mahaffey Theater

Named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 List in 2021 , Taylor Tomlinson will celebrate her 30th birthday weekend with shows at Tampa Theatre and Mahaffey Theater on her Have It All tour. Tomlinson has released two hour-long stand-up specials on Netflix, 2020's "Quarter-Life Crisis" and last year's "Look At You," and has signed a deal to release her next two specials on the same streaming service.

D.L. Hughley

Nov. 4-5; Tampa Improv, Tampa; improvtampa.com

One of "The Original Kings of Comedy," the group also featuring Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey and the late great Bernie Mac documented in the 2000 Spike Lee film of the same name, D.L. Hughley also starred in the sitcom "The Hughleys" and hosted BET's "ComicView" and CNN's "D.L. Hughley Breaks the News." More recently, the comedian guest hosted multiple episodes of "The Daily Show" earlier this year.

Stavros Halkias

Nov. 10; Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa; strazcenter.org

While many first discovered him through the podcast world (including his current show "Stavvy's World"), Stavros Halkias is also one of stand-up comedy's biggest breakout stars in recent years, with his 2022 special "Live at the Lodge Room" currently at around six million views on YouTube and The Fat Rascal Tour bringing him to theaters such as Straz Center. He also recently appeared on the Steven Soderbergh series "Command Z" along with fellow comedian Roy Wood Jr., Michael Cera and others.

Heroes & Headliners

Nov. 11, MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre ; heroesandheadliners.com

Walmart presents this Veteran's Day concert celebrating the military community, featuring big-name performers from various genres: country star Chris Stapleton, rock hitmakers Imagine Dragons, and Grammy and Oscar-winning R&B singer H.E.R. Former Buc Rob Gronkowski and "Wipeout" host/model Camille Kostek host the show, with tickets available now for military and Oct. 16 for the general public.

Nov. 14; Straz Center

Also playing Straz Center is the British comic known for his caustic, sometimes-controversial stand-up, with specials including 2021's "His Dark Material" on Netflix and frequent appearances on British TV shows such as the country's version of "Roast Battle." He also appeared on Comedy Central's Roast of Rob Lowe, where Nikki Glaser memorably used his name as a punchline: "Jimmy A. Carr...is what Ralph Macchio has to do to find a place to sleep every night."

Patti Smith

Nov. 15; Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Sarasota; selby.org

The singer-songwriter, author and multidisciplinary artist performs as part of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens' 50th anniversary festivities, with the gardens previously hosting her for two concerts and naming her its inaugural artist-in-residence last year. Her 1975 debut album "Horses" is considered a landmark in rock and punk music, inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and ranked the 26th greatest album of all time by Rolling Stone, which also named her the  47th best artist of all time .

Nov. 17; Amalie Arena

Jo Koy has been a successful comedian for several years now, with more than a hundred panel appearances on his ex Chelsea Handler's show "Chelsea Lately," yet 2022 was arguably his biggest year yet, starring in the movie "Easter Sunday," releasing the Netflix special "Live from the LA Forum" and headlining Madison Square Garden for the first time. After playing Yuengling Center on his last visit to Tampa in 2022, he levels up to Amalie Arena on this tour.

Dwight Yoakam

Nov. 18; The Sound

The country musician rose to fame in the late '80s with self-penned tunes such as "Guitars, Cadillacs," which he re-recorded in a bluegrass version on his latest album "Swimmin' Pools, Movie Stars..." along with other past songs of his and Prince's classic "Purple Rain." Yoakam is also known as an actor, appearing in movies including "Sling Blade," "Panic Room" and most recently Clint Eastwood's 2021 film "Cry Macho."

Anthony Jeselnik

Nov. 19; Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center

The stand-up comic is known for his darkly comedic one-liners and his work with Comedy Central, hosting the series "The Jeselnik Offensive" and "Good Talk"; performing on the roasts of Donald Trump, Charlie Sheen and Roseanne Barr; and releasing the stand-up albums "Shakespeare" and "Caligula" through them. Netflix put out his two latest specials, 2015's "Thoughts and Prayers" and 2019's "Fire in the Maternity Ward."

Nov. 24; Amalie Arena

The rapper and singer who's one of today's biggest pop stars (and one of Time's 100 Most Influential People of 2023 ) visits Tampa after the release of her latest album "Scarlet," featuring the No. 1 hit single "Paint the Town Red." Be sure to get there early to see opener Doechii, who was born and raised in Tampa and is signed to Top Dawg Entertainment, the label that's also released albums by such big-name artists as Kendrick Lamar and SZA.

Jingle Ball

Nov. 26; Amalie Arena

Doechii will also play Amalie Arena two days later as part of iHeartRadio's annual holiday season concert tour, with former One Direction member turned solo star and "The Voice" coach Niall Horan headlining. Singer-songwriter Teddy Swims, Swedish singer Zara Larsson, "Lil Boo Thang" performer Paul Russell, rapper Kaliii and pop group Lawrence will also perform.

Bradenton Blues Festival

Dec. 1-2; Riverwalk Pavilion at Rossi Park, Bradenton; bradentonbluesfestival.org

The 12th annual festival's lineup includes 2021 Band of the Year Blues Music Award winner Rick Estrin & the Nightcats, a tribute to the late harmonica player James Cotton by his band and the Grammy-nominated Mark Hummel, and fellow Grammy nominees Lurrie Bell and John Primer. The main concert takes place Dec. 2, with the Dec. 1 show headlined by South Florida guitarist/singer-songwriter J.P. Soars' Gypsy Blue Revue with Anne Harris.

97X Next Big Thing

Dec. 3; The Sound

After taking place at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in recent years, Tampa Bay rock radio station 97X's annual music festival returns to Clearwater for its 22nd edition. This year's headliners include Grammy-winning garage rock duo The Black Keys, who went from playing Skipper's Smokehouse in Tampa to headlining Amalie Arena, and Bleachers, the current band of in-demand producer Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift, St. Vincent, Lorde.)

Dec. 8; Tampa Theatre

The sardonic stand-up comedian who released his latest special "Same Time Tomorrow" on Netflix last year visits Tampa while on The Class Act Tour. Morril previously released the 2020 special "I Got This," which currently has about 12 million views on YouTube and briefly mentions Tampa, as well as more extensively mentioning fellow Florida city Naples and why it's his "least favorite city."

Nate Bargatze

Dec. 9; Amalie Arena

Nate Bargatze's accessible style of stand-up — profanity-free without ever feeling like "clean comedy" — has made him into one of the most popular comedians working today, as evident by him playing two shows at Amalie Arena. Bargatze's big breakthrough came through Netflix, which released his half-hour set on "The Standups" as well as his hour-long specials "The Tennessee Kid" and "The Greatest Average American," though he switched things up this year by releasing his latest special "Hello World" on Amazon Prime Video.

John Mulaney

Dec. 14; Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center

The comedian visits Tampa after releasing his latest acclaimed stand-up special on Netflix earlier this year, "Baby J," which delves into such autobiographical subjects as his relapse during the pandemic, his "star-studded" intervention and his stay at rehab. Along with "Baby J," which is up for two Emmys, Mulaney also appeared this year on the acclaimed FX/Hulu series "The Bear."

Steve Miller Band

Dec. 14; The Sound

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted Steve Miller and his band are known for No. 1 and 2 hits in the '70s and '80s such as "The Joker," "Abracadabra," "Rock'n Me" and "Fly Like an Eagle." They'll be joined at this show by one of the biggest names in contemporary blues, Samantha Fish, whose most recent solo album was 2021's Billboard blues album chart-topping "Faster."

Lewis Black

Dec. 14; Mahaffey Theater

The two-time Best Comedy Album Grammy-winning comic is known for his righteously angry ranting on stage, on television with his "Back in Black" segments on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," and in film, including voicing the literal embodiment of anger in Pixar's Oscar-winning animated movie "Inside Out." His most recent special is this year's "Tragically, I Need You," which he released on YouTube.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Dec. 23; Amalie Arena

Originating from Tampa, founded in 1996 by Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli of heavy metal band Savatage, along with Robert Kinkel and the late producer Paul O'Neill, Trans-Siberian Orchestra's shows have become a Christmas tradition both in their hometown and beyond. The group has also released multi-platinum albums such as 1996's "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" and 2004's "The Lost Christmas Eve," along with non-holiday themed albums.

Megadeth’s upcoming tour lineup is an odd yet interesting mix.

DERBY, ENGLAND - AUGUST 13: Dave Mustaine of Megadeth performs at Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2023 ... [+] at Catton Hall on August 13, 2023 in Derby, England. (Photo by Katja Ogrin/Redferns)

It wasn’t long ago when Megadeth had one of the hottest metal tours on the block which was fittingly coined ‘The Metal Tour Of The Year.’ The 2021 and 2022 co-headlining tour consisted of Megadeth and modern heavyweights Lamb of God with opening acts Trivium, Hatebreed, and later In Flames. Nearly every band on the bill offered something unique yet sonically similar enough to make it an air tight package. Not to mention, the tour sold exceptionally well with averaging 7,000 tickets sold across 24 dates from its first leg. To say it was a smashing success for Megadeth would be an understatement, and with their recent Grammy nomination for their well received 2022 LP The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead , the band was experiencing quite a moment to say the least.

However, despite the recent wins for Megadeth guitarist Kiko Loureiro exiting the band was a pretty big blow to the fans, as he’s made significant contributions to Megadeth since joining in 2015. In fact, in the past Megadeth founder Dave Mustaine had been fairly open about his admiration for Loureiro and he’s gone as far as saying , “Megadeth has had guys like Jeff [Young] and Marty [Friedman], but Kiko is the best we’ve ever had.”

Now with the band’s new guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari, who was recommended by Loureiro prior to exiting the band, Megadeth aren’t quite in the same position they were in a couple years ago, though at no fault of Mäntysaari who is in fact filling the shoes of lead guitarist incredibly well, according to Mustaine.

With all that being said, the band’s recent headlining tour announcement comes as a surprise to many fans, particularly with the supporting lineup Megadeth has in place. Nu metal giants Mudvayne and metalcore pioneers All That Remains are slated to support Megadeth on their upcoming late summer North American, which is titled the Destroy All Enemies tour. Maybe the tour’s title is an attempt at the band poking fun at themselves because it doesn’t appear they’ll be making any new friends with a tour lineup that’s such a stark contrast from their recent North American tours.

After one look at the comments section on Megadeth’s instagram post for the tour announcement, it’s clear that the most upvoted comments are from fans being harshly critical or puzzled by Megadeth’s decision to have Mudvayne and All That Remains as support, and that’s putting it lightly. No disrespect to either Mudvayne or All The Remains as both bands have made significant contributions to early 2000s metal and are great on their own merits, but the three bands together just seems at odds with Megadeth status as a legacy band. If they’d added another opener that was more sonically like minded and a newer act like Havok, Enforced, or even Power Trip the bill would possibly seem a little less jarring to fans. Better yet, a co-headlining tour with Pantera, whom are currently headlining arenas across the states, would do wonders for both bands especially given the demand for the recent Pantera reunion.

Apple iphone 16 unique all new design promised in new report, rudy giuliani and mark meadows indicted in arizona fake electors case.

Regardless, both Mudvayne and All That Remains can draw on their own, but it’ll be interesting to see if Megadeth fans are the primary ticket buyers for this tour or if there’s a healthy mix from each of the acts’ core fanbases. Or better yet, maybe there’s a more shared appreciation for all acts than the comments suggest. It’s entirely possible, but tickets sales and the crowd response at the shows will no doubt be the deciding factors.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s ‘Vultures 2’ to Include Posthumous Feature From Takeoff

Kanye, aka Ye, and Ty Dolla $ign have confirmed May 3 as the new release date for “Vultures 2,” the sequel to their Billboard 200-topping album. The album, originally slated for a March 8 release , will include the pre-existing “Let Me Chill Out,” a single featuring Rich the Kid and NBA Youngboy and the late Migos member Takeoff .

Kanye revealed the “Vultures 2” release date news during a recent appearance on Justin LaBoy’s “The Download” podcast. “Vultures” was announced as a three-part album series with the third volume said to arrive on April 5 though the third volume of the album was not discussed during Kanye and LaBoy’s conversation.

Popular on Variety

Kanye and Ty Dolla released “Vultures 1” on Feb. 10 via YZY, which debuted atop the Billboard 200, launching its lead single, “Carnival” to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song competed with fresh singles from Beyoncé, and remains at No. 20 on the chart.

There have been more than a few broken promises when it comes to “Vultures” (including the pair’s disappointing Rolling Loud set ). Kanye and Ty Dolla supported the album with various “listening sessions” that were supposed to hit arenas (in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Charlotte and Washington, D.C), but those shows were scrapped within a day or two of first being announced.

Kanye has also spoken about possibly releasing the second part of the record solely as a paid download, or through a new and exclusive streaming site, rather than a conventional rollout to DSPs, but only time will tell what “Vultures 2” will actually bring.
