How to Apply for a Turkey Tourist Visa in Dubai – Step by Step Guide

E-appointment system via vfs global, applying for an e-visa for turkey, contact information, location map: consulate-general of turkey.

The e-appointment system requires you to schedule an appointment at the Consulate General office of Turkey located in the Dubai World Trade Centre   VFS Global office at WAFI Mall .

The other option (which is much easier) is getting the eVisa and basically just print it after making the payment and getting approved. This option is only available to those who have certain types of visas already. Below are each step outline according to process.

UPDATE: There has been an update regarding the visa application process as the Consulate General of Turkey has assigned a third party service (VFS Global) to handle all visa applications to the country.

So you need to schedule and make an appointment at VFS Global instead of going directly to the Consulate.

If your UAE visa is based in Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, or Umm Al Quwain, then you need to apply at the VFS Global Dubai. If your UAE visa is based in Al Ain or Abu Dhabi, then you need to apply at the VFS Global Abu Dhabi. Here are the steps:

1. Apply through their e-appointment system via this link and fill out the online form with your details. – https://www.konsolosluk.gov.tr/Visa

2. Once approved, schedule an interview appointment. Book an appointment schedule here –  http://www.vfsglobal.com/Turkey/UAE/schedule-an-appointment.html

Make sure to bring all the needed documents when you visit the VFS Global office. The following are the requirements for applying for a Turkey tourist visa.

– Biometric Photo – Salary Certificate – documents attesting to the income status of the applicant and inviting person – Flight Reservation – Hotel Booking or Invitation – NOC Letter – Supporting document on the applicant’s commitment to return such as (Land registry, business certificate, salary table, bank account statement) – Bank statement for last three months – Medical Insurance valid for Turkey – Original Passport and Passport copy

3. During the Date of Appointment, head to the VFS Global office.

4. Make sure to pass all the requirements, and practice your answers for you will be asked regarding your travel.

5. Once, you’re accepted for getting a Visa. Proceed on settling the fees, to claim the stamp that will indicate the Visa’s release.

6. Lastly, claim your Visa as per according to the date indicated on the stamp.

– Have a 1-year medical insurance ready for your trip. In my case I applied for the medical insurance at VFS GLobal office as they have a dedicated insurance provider in their office. – Allot at least a month before your flight when you apply for your Visa – It’s also important to remember that it takes 4-7 working days before your Visa is released. – In case of unemployment, send your benefactor’s passport – If you have a host in Turkey, must provide some information regarding your Turkish host, who will also need to have an approval coming from the benefactor that they’ll answer all of the tourist’s expenses. – Visa Fee: The Visa can be around 220-330 AED , Credit cards are strictly not accepted, all fees must be paid in UAE Dirhams. However, total fees may reach as much as 700 AED (due to the medical insurance).

Depending on the country of your passport, you may have an option of applying an E-Visa, and the process takes shorter than the traditional option of acquiring through an appointment.

1. To apply, you can click this link – https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/apply/ . You will be redirected towards the website. Accomplish the application filling up the required information.

2. Make the payment (current Turkey eVisa fee is 20 USD) online.

3. Once completed, a link will be sent to you to see your E-Visa and possibly print it to ensure that you have a physical copy if they look for one. Also save a copy for yourself in your email or smartphone for back-up.

How to Apply for a Turkey visa from Dubai?

How to apply for Turkey visa from Dubai

Choosing Between a Tourist or Transit Visa

When applying for your Turkish visa in Dubai, you’ll need to decide whether you need a tourist or transit visa. Tourist visas allow you to explore Turkey, while transit visas are solely for passing through on your way to another destination. Here will Dubai will give a complete breakdown article

Some key differences:

  • Tourist visas allow stays of up to 90 days within 180 days. Transit is limited to just 5 days.
  • Tourist visas allow entry via any border gate. Transit restricts you to arriving at approved airports/seaports.
  • Tourist visas give you full access to travel within Turkey. Transit limits your movements to connecting transportation.

Agency processing fees are generally $15-30 on top of the visa cost. This grants access to premium services that save applicants time, energy, and hassle while ensuring smooth entry into Turkey.

Check out the step-by-step guide on how to apply for a Turkey visa

Check out list of top travel agencies in dubai.

So for most visitors planning to see Turkey’s attractions, a 30 or 90-day tourist e-visa is likely the best fit. Those with short layovers can save costs with a transit visa instead.

Saving Time Through an Agency

While the government e-visa platform allows DIY applications, working with a specialized agency like CIBTvisas or Compass can optimize efficiency.

Benefits include:

  • Expert guidance on selecting the right visa type
  • Agency staff fill out forms, check documents, and submit applications on your behalf
  • Concierge services deliver visas right to your home or office
  • Packaged deals can bundle visas with flights, hotels, airport transfers

Securing Supporting Documentation

Whether applying directly or through an agency, the required supporting documents are the same. Banks statements, flight/accommodation bookings, and UAE residency papers must be legally certified through established channels like your bank, airline, or local police station.

Photographs also have strict official formatting – professional visa photos with white backgrounds are recommended. Agencies will inform exactly which documents need certification/notarization during the process.

How to Apply for a Turkey Visa from Dubai

Step-by-step guide, step 1: gather documents.

You will need to have the following documents ready before applying:

  • Passport valid for at least 60 days beyond the trip date
  • 2 passport-size photos with a white background
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the trip (bank statements, income statements, etc.)
  • Confirmed roundtrip tickets and detailed travel itinerary
  • Proof of accommodation booking in Turkey
  • UAE residency visa and Emirates ID copy

Step 2: Choose Visa Type

Turkey offers e-visas, sticker visas, and on-arrival visas depending on your nationality and trip purpose. Choose the right category based on immigration guidelines. Popular options are 30 or 90-day multiple-entry e-visas.

Step 3: Submit Visa Application

You can opt for the following application methods:

  • Apply directly through the Turkish government’s online e-visa system.
  • Visit the Turkey visa application center in Dubai in person.
  • Work with a registered Dubai-based visa processing agency.

Online applications tend to be cheaper while agencies charge service fees but handle all procedures.

Step 4: Pay Visa Fees

Visa cost will depend on your nationality, but is commonly between $30-60 paid online via credit card. Payment confirms the visa.

Step 5: Print Visa

For e-visas, print multiple copies to carry while traveling. For sticker visas, the agency will inform you of the next steps.

Documents necessary for a tourist visa.

You will need to present the following set of papers:

  • Passport (valid for no less than 3 months starting on the day of departure; no fewer than two clear pages left, cannot have been issued more than 10 years ago)
  • UAE residence visa (valid three months beyond the intended date of departure)

  • Copy of the Emirates ID

More documents might be needed based on the visa type and other factors.

This is a non-government site and whilst every endeavor is made to ensure the information is correct and up to date, there may be changes which we are not aware of. It is always a good idea to check the latest regulations. You should confirm details with your local Turkish Consular Office.

DO I NEED TO STAY IN QUARANTINE UPON ARRIVING IN TURKEY?

Currently, no quarantine is necessary for UAE residents.

DOES IT MATTER IF I BOOK MY TICKETS BEFORE I GET THE VISA?

No, you can do it in any order that suits you. But it is highly recommended that you do not confirm the flight ticket before the visa is issued.

DO I GET A REFUND IF MY VISA APPLICATION TO TURKEY IS REJECTED?

Unfortunately, there are no refunds.

For how many days can I stay in the state?

A tourist visa also allows you to remain in the country for a maximum of 90 days. If you wish to stay past that period, you will need to apply for a long-term permit within a month of your arrival date.

What happens if you stay in Turkey for more than 90 days?

If your application is rejected by the authorities for any reason, you will have ten days to leave the country. If you fail to comply, you will be fined.

Can I live in Turkey if I don’t have a residence permit?

In order to legally be able to stay in Turkey, it is important to get one after two months of being in this country. Thanks to this document, foreigners can live in this republic throughout the entire period of the residence permit.

How costly is it to get a residence permit in Turkey?

As of December 2022, the fixed price for the Ikamet card is an administrative fee of about 160 TRY. The annual amount for residence permits in Turkey today ranges from 326 to 7280 lira but can be increased due to the large influx of immigrants.

Do I have to get a work permit to work in Turkey?

Turkey allows foreign citizens to work in the country for up to 3 months without having a visa. This rule applies to all seasonal workers.

How to get a work permit in Turkey?

To do that, a foreigner's application must be submitted online by the company or entity that is willing to employ you within 10 workdays to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection in Turkey. After it gives its approval, the law prescribes that foreigners apply for a work visa at the Turkish Mission within 90 days.

How much funds should I have in my account to get a visa to Turkey?

About $50 per day of staying in the country should suffice.

How long will it take to get a visa?

It takes upwards of 15 working days to process your application.

My application got rejected. What do I do now?

You can attempt to appeal to the consulate. Be aware that this will take a lot of time, so it is advisable to get all the required documents in order in advance so that such a problem does not appear in the first place.

How much money can I bring along?

There are no restrictions on how much currency you can bring in, but as for moving it out of Turkey, no more than $5000 in Turkish and foreign currencies each can be taken out of the country.
