How long does it take to process a travel claim?

It’s our goal to process eligible claims promptly. To help us do so, please:

  • provide us – as soon as possible – the medical information we need from your treating or family physician
  • send in a fully completed claim form, including all requested supporting documentation
  • remember that we may need other information from the medical providers (e.g., doctors, hospitals), so our response time may be impacted by when we receive mail from them

Frequently asked questions

In some cases, you may be able to deduct travel insurance premiums from your gross income when it comes to tax time. In most situations, however, travel insurance costs are not deductible. Be sure to ask an accountant or financial advisor as to the status of these costs prior to making them, if a concern.

The cost of travel insurance is not a medical expense. It's a cost incurred to protect you when travelling against any unforeseen circumstance that leads to your incurring a cost to protect your health and well-being while on a trip away from home.

Travel insurance claims involve completing a form and submitting it to the insurance company you purchased the travel insurance from. The forms tend to be detailed and take a bit of time to complete.

All supporting documentation requested in the claim form must also accompany your submission. Incomplete claims are generally not accepted and will need to be redone before going through the claims review process.

Generally, costs you incur while away you pay for out-of-pocket. Then, you're reimbursed by the insurance company after you return home and submit a claim.

In some instances (e.g., hospital stays), another arrangement can be made. In those cases, travellers may call us to make a plan for covering the costs.

Travel insurance claims go through an adjudication process. If the policyholder provides everything the insurance company needs to determine the validity of the claim and verify the expenses, then the claim will be approved.

There’s nothing for the policyholder to do to get a claim approved. One can only ensure their claim is complete, that all questions are answered, and all supporting documentation provided when the claim is first submitted. Also, if the company has any outstanding questions, the policyholder should provide answers as soon as possible to expedite the claim verification process.

Welcome to Moscow

Russia’s capital is packed with museums, art galleries, theatres and beautiful old buildings. There’s always something to see here – even a trip on the Metro, with its magnificent marble stations, is a treat. And when you’ve had enough of sightseeing, you can do some serious shopping in the city’s markets and malls.

Top things to see and do in Moscow

  • Head to Red Square : with the Kremlin at one end and the multi-coloured onion domes of St Basil’s Cathedral at the other, the square is the absolute must-see of Moscow.
  • Hit the malls : also at Red Square is GUM . This iconic department store with its arched arcades and wrought iron balconies is gorgeous looking and especially pretty lit up at night. It’s home to an array of designer stores. Serious shoppers can also head to the Okhotny Ryad mall and the very upmarket TsUM.
  • Take a walk in the park : Gorky Park is where Muscovites come out to picnic, play table tennis and generally take time out to relax in middle of this bustling city. In the summer, there’s an open-air cinema to enjoy and in the winter you can skate on the ice rink.
  • Buy souvenirs at the market : for some authentically Russian gifts to take home, try Izmaylovo Market. Here you’ll find Russian lacquered miniatures, intricately painted wooden handicrafts and Russian dolls.
  • Take in some culture : visit the Tretyakov Gallery which is packed with over 100,000 works of Russian art dating from the 10th to 20th century. And if you can, get a ticket to the opera or the ballet at the Bolshoi Theatre.

Tips for travellers

Around 20 kilometres south-west of the city is Peredelkino , a former artists’ colony where many famous Russian writers had their dachas, or country homes. You can visit the dacha of Boris Pasternak, author of Dr Zhivago, which is now a museum.

Getting around

Visa information, travel insurance.

You can get around Moscow by bus, trolleybus, tram, taxi or car hire. Moscow's public transport system is extensive with a large network of buses, trolleybuses and trams. You can buy daily and weekly tickets to use across the network. Marshrutkas or minibuses can be flagged down at designated stops and run on set routes. You can take an official yellow taxi either by flagging one from the street or having your hotel arrange one for you. You can also hire a car from one of several international car hire agencies available in Moscow. You'll need to be at least 21 years old and have had at least a year's driving experience. Bear in mind that care hire in Moscow is expensive and some companies will only hire out a car with a driver.

Our destinations are split into 8 different zones. The cost of checking in baggage per kilo depends on what zone you’re flying to and from .

For more information, please visit our Airport baggage rates page.

Before you fly, please make certain you have the correct visa and documents required to enter the country . Check with the relevant embassy to find out what you need.

Travel Guard for flydubai is the travel insurance provided by flydubai’s travel partner, AIG Inc. It can cover you if:

  • you have to cancel your trip
  • you need emergency medical treatment while you’re away
  • you need to fly home early

Moscow in 1 Day (Walking tour)

Welcome to visit moscow tours.

We provide authentic, informative and memorable tour packages and city tours, at very competitive prices. Visit Moscow Tours are available not only in Moscow, but also in other cities: Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Suzdal and Sergiev Posad.  We also organise customised individual programs tailored just for you.

Our guests come in large groups, small private groups, as couples or as single travellers. We take care of and treat our guests with respect in a friendly and warm family environment. We show people our beautiful cities with passion and deep knowledge of their history, culture and traditions.

Our guides are extremely hospitable, helpful and well-informed. They are simply the best because only by providing the best services can we make the world fall in love with Russia. And we are very happy when our guests say that they will definitely come back to Russia and that they will tell all their friends how great Russia is! That is what inspires us to put even more dedication and hard work into our tours, knowing that what we do is positive and meaningful.

Our classic tours include tours of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, two main Russian cities.

Moscow is a big and busy  megalopolis and Russia’s capital city, where more than 12 million people live and work. Our capital city is happening place; it is mysterious, elegant, luxurious, fashionable, clean and bright, with its unique legends, traditions and events. It is with great pride that we show the Red Square and the Kremlin, our Underground and Tretyakovskaya Gallery, among other stunning attractions.

Saint Petersburg is our second capital,  the second largest city in the Russian Federation. This wonderful city has a strong and lively aristocratic spirit, uniquely Russian royal architecture, magnificent museums and theatres. Saint Petersburg bears the royal heritage of Russia, which can be felt in its air, its streets, parks, monuments, museums and citizens.  In Saint Petersburg tours, we will take you to the Hermitage, Peter and Paul Fortress, Faberge Museum and Orthodox Cathedrals. We’re sure you will love it!

If you have a few more days to spare, venture into the dreamy Russian countryside in Suzdal or Sergiev Posad. Suzdal is a small town with a population of about ten thousand people, situated on less than 15 square kilometres. This tiny area is home to 53 historic cathedrals, five monasteries and a kremlin. Church domes are visible like mushrooms from anywhere and everywhere in the town like in a fairy tale. No wonder Suzdal is called the ‘Town Museum”.  It is definitely worth visiting!

Just try any of Visit Moscow Tours’ tour packages or any individual city tour, and we promise that you will want to come back to Russia again.  Russia is huge with countless amazing places to visit. There are so many unique experiences to be had and energies to be felt that one tour is definitely not enough to explore this vast land. It is also a very safe destination to travel, and we have a tradition of warm hospitality. Our people adore and take care of visitors as our own guests, and even if they do not know your language very well, they still try to be helpful and hospitable.

Our guides will show you the most interesting attractions and historical places, taking you on a journey to the past to enjoy stories of medieval times, the Romanov monarchy, the Soviet Era. And of course, we will show you the contemporary life of our country through authentic local experiences.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
