After all the French food we wanted to eat something different and so we came to this place. This is a nice decorated and small intimate restaurant. The staff very nice and helpful and you can imagine if you have to survive against the very... good French cuisine you have to be better. This is the best Japanese food I have ever eaten before. This Japanese ingredients and techniques to prepare all are exiting. We have been there for lunch and heard that they open night only on on Friday. So you should make a reservation for Friday night. More

If you like Japanese food, do not hesitate. Friendly people, nice decorated restaurant, small room very intimate. We went there for diner. I discovered what sake is. Don't be shy, try everything you can't be disappointed. Especially the black sesame tuna!!!

We come to this restaurant regularly for the fresh fish, beautiful presentation of the food and pleasantness of the staff. A really good Japanese experience in Tours evidenced by the fact that it is always full.

I had heard so much about this restaurant and I am such a fan of Japanese food that I finally decided to take my chance. I made a booking loooooooong in advance and went there with 3 well traveled friends... And what a disappointment :-(... the food is just average. not bad but far from great... Not worth the fuss... Nor the price (at least for lunch). You can find much better for less in Tours, trust me! More

Not sure why Tourangeaux people are so crazy about this restaurant, why you have to book weeeks ahead? Honestly? Service is poor, food is average, price are on the high side... there are much better japanese/asian restaurant in town... and cheaper too... Tours is definitely... not the city for northern asian food.. 😔 More

Our experience started with a little upset, but it was well dealt with after all. great kir with a Japanese prune liqueur....and one of two choices for lunch, absolutely delicious. You feel see and hear how well all the staff knows what they are serving... and you can see their pride in the way the describe to you what will be on your plate. Delicious desserts too, different and prettily presented. It is a small restaurant and there is not a lot of privacy, but who cares when it is so delicious and fresh and beautiful to the eye. I will go back and already be looking forward to it. More

Only open lunchtime and friday evenings so book way in advance for an evening! Nothing to fault, the decor and atmosphere is authentic, service is flawless and the food was really lovely. Fusion between french and japanese ingredients and cooking techniques. Wine was good too.... Minimum price is 38 euros a head for starter main and dessert, you can't have anything less. Would go back again for a special occasion. More

Third time in this restaurant, this time for celebrating a birthday. The welcome was simple and cheerful and the food simply amazing with fine details for the preparation.

If Nobuki is excellent for lunch, the dinner menu approaches perfection. Three of us had the Magaru Steaki, which comes with a 5€ supplement, a tuna steak covered in sesame seeds and very lightly grilled, so it is still raw inside. With Miso soup and... a choice of 3 starters and 3 deserts the menu costs 38€. Count nearly 50€ per person which includes a pot of Genmaisha tea each, and a generous shot of Saki shared. Be advised, the restaurant is, understandably, becoming very popular. We booked one week ahead for a Friday evening, and even so could not be seated until 21h30, so early booking is strongly recommended. More

We found this restaurant by accident whilst walking around Tours. We were unable to get straight in as they were fully booked - I gather it is essential to book. The restaurant is small and intimate, décor very plain. We had the a la carte... which was 38EU and consisted of three courses with an amuse bouche as well. The number of choices were not large perhaps 5 at each course? However everything we had was excellent - the black sesame tuna and the Ringo for pudding stood out. The service was friendly and nicely paced, we were there for over 2.5 hrs. We had two Kirs, and a bottle of Riesling (French) the menus and finished with warm sake. All for £100. Super food and super value. More

This is a lovely restaurant in the centre of Tours. We went for lunch - just a choice of two dishes, but what we had was wonderful - light, different tastes and textures. The ownders are friendly and welcoming. We will certainly be back.

Lovely kind welcome for my husband and I on our last night ( no booking). Accommodated at lovely bar seating (actually best). Amuse bouche of Japanese omelette - stunning ands different. Refreshing beer then red wine (South of France chosen for a change and superb).... Our main dishes- brand new delicious tastes. Dessert amazing twists and tastes on classics. Simply excellent. More
