An OFF! show is like the heist you wish you could be part of - in, bam bam bam, out, taut with adrenaline from when the light's go down. Or in my case, about a week before. They have made three records of thrilling hardcore punk rock harking back to its early 1980's heyday. Keith Morris is a focal point because of well, he's Keith Morris, right? One of the greatest frontmen in my book, Keith has an acerbic line or two and a hugely influential punk rock voice but Dimitri Coats's riffing is thrillingly ferocious and Steven McDonald and Mario Rubalcaba provide one of the tightest, most melodic and punchy rhythm sections you'll ever hear. Tonight, at the Oslo in Hackney, it's insanely hot. It's also sold out. People who've known OFF! since that first EP combine with those curious to check out what the buzz is about. I don't think anyone is let down. OFF! are fast, brief, loud and play punk rock the way it should be played. They can tempo shift with ease, from deliberate riffing to all out furious hardcore. Their sonic assaults are knockout. Raw. And joyful.

The term supergroup is really one of those that you should only really throw around with a degree of caution, but I think anybody worth their salt as far as their U.S. punk knowledge was concerned would happily apply the tag to Off!; after all, they’re comprised of Keith Morris of Circle Jerks and Black Flag, Mario Rubalcaba from Hot Snakes and Rocket from the Crypt, Dimitri Coats of Burning Brides and Steven Shane McDonald from Redd Kross. Their two proper full-lengths to date, including last April’s Wasted Years, have certainly won them plaudits, but it’s really on stage that they come to life; Rubalcaba is a genuine animal behind the kit, Morris brings the kind of energy obligatory for somebody who once fronted arguably the most iconic U.S. punk band ever, and Coats is perhaps the real revelation; previously a frontman, he’s know a superbly-accomplished guitarist for Off!, and he plays the part superbly. Supergroups usually disappoint, but Off! prove that a special alchemy can occasionally take place when talent like this gets together.

only went to Fridays show and it was a blast.I missed the first 2 bands but got to see The Dripps and OFF!.I thought the Dripps were great, for a band that doesnt play that often they killed it but then again half of the band is The Bronx so there you go.OFF was really good as well but I think folks are tired of hearing Keith Morris bitch about how fucked up everything is in our country, citys, towns, etc.Instead of ranting for roughly 15+mins during there set play some music. 15mins equals about 7 maybe 8 songs more.Im just saying. All in all the show was fun and Alexs Bar in L.B. is a pretty cool place to see bands and drink ofcourse. If you havent checked it out yet your lagging

The Off! Show was great! They had dale crover from the melvins on drums, which was awesome! Then the descendents played and killed it! They played all their classic songs. Milo sounded really great and Bill Stevenson still rips on drums. I would defentley go see both bands again. Punk rock is not dead!

What Taylor Swift's new album means for her $1 billion fortune

  • Taylor Swift's new album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," is almost guaranteed to be a bestseller.
  • But no matter how well it does, it won't be the way Swift earns most of her money this year.
  • The remaining leg of her Eras Tour is expected to add much more to Swift's billion-dollar fortune.

Insider Today

Taylor Swift released her new album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," at midnight, and, in what should be no surprise to anyone on this planet in the year 2024, it caused a scene.

Her album garnered millions of streams within hours. There's almost no doubt it'll top the Billboard chart like the 13 Swift albums before it.

But no matter how many platinum certifications it collects or streams it racks up on Spotify, "The Tortured Poets Department" won't be Swift's biggest money-maker this year.

The remaining leg of her Eras Tour — kicking off in Paris next month and running through December — is instead expected to be what contributes most to her fortune, which Bloomberg estimated to be $1.1 billion last year.

"Live music is the engine of the global music business," Clayton Durant, an adjunct professor at NYU Steinhardt's Music Business Program who's the founder of CAD Management, told Business Insider. "Her tour is probably going to earn 10 to 15 times more than her streaming."

Swift's Eras Tour brought in more than $1 billion in ticket sales last year over its 66 dates. By the end of this year, she's set to have played another 86. Swift's cut is unknown, but based on industry standards, she'll surely earn nine figures in 2024 from ticket sales.

Concerts don't only bring in money from ticket sales.

Pollstar estimates that Swifties spend an average of $40 a head on merch at her concerts — that adds up to about $175 million in gross merch sales last year. Swift's camp keeps the majority of that.

Bloomberg estimated that between box office and merchandise, Swift pocketed $225 million, pre-tax, from her first 57 Eras Tour dates. Career earnings from ticket sales and merchandise account for 34% of her total net worth, while earnings from music streaming and sales account for 18%, Bloomberg estimates.

Related stories

Swift isn't alone in making money on the road.

In 2021, the last year Billboard made a list of music's top earners, seven out of the 10 top money makers earned more than half of their income from touring.

But the music industry didn't always function this way. Before the advent of streaming, musicians made most of their fortune selling CDs, cassette tapes, and vinyl records .

"Physical music sales made up the bulk of artists' revenue pre-streaming, and that revenue was what enabled artists to tour. These days, the equation has flipped," Tatiana Cirisano, a senior music-industry analyst at MIDiA, told BI over email.

Streaming made listening to recorded music much cheaper. For less than the price of one CD — or for free, illegally or with ads — people could get all the songs they wanted.

"The moment Napster hit, it changed the paradigm, and it really honestly diluted the value of music," Durant said.

To be sure, Swift is still making tens of millions, if not more, on streaming and record sales each year — more than almost any other artist on the planet.

Streaming services such as Spotify pay out artists on a pro-rata model: There's a pot, made up of subscription and ad revenue, paid out to artists each year. Those with the biggest share of the platform's total streams get the biggest piece of it.

But "if you're an individual artist, you have to have a pretty massive audience to be able to earn a meaningful share of that revenue — which is paid out to you after your label gets its cut," Cirisano said.

Last year, Swift was the most streamed artist on both Apple and Spotify. One of every 78 songs streamed in the US last year was a Swift song, according to the music-data firm Luminate. She'll probably rank at or near the top again, between " The Tortured Poets Department " and a streaming lift from the second leg of her Eras Tour.

Swift is also set to earn more than most artists from physical music sales. Last year, she was responsible for one out of every 15 vinyl records sold, according to Luminate. Cirisano said Swift's rabid followers saw physical records as "a symbol of fandom" and a way to support Swift.

That said, without Eras, Swift would just be a poor centimillionaire.

Missy elliott to launch first-ever headlining tour this summer, live nation loses bid to dismiss investor class action lawsuit over antitrust scrutiny.

In late September, Noah announced that his time at The Daily Show was up, citing a desire to be back on the road, learning and exploring. “I spent two years [of the pandemic] in my apartment, not on the road, and when I got back out there again, I realized that there’s another part of my life that I want to carry on exploring,” he said at the time. “I miss learning other languages, I miss going to other countries and putting on shows, I miss being everywhere and doing everything.” He’s scheduled to formally sign off on Dec. 8.

Despite a demanding schedule over the last seven years, which has also had him tethered to New York four days a week, Noah never stopped touring. In fact, save the early days of the pandemic, he’s spent most weekends on the road. During his Daily Show run, theaters became arenas, and Noah solidified his status as one the most successful comics working, having sold up shows across five continents. He’s racked up Netflix specials, too, including his latest, I Wish You Would , which drops on the service Nov. 22. Noah has historically veered away from political humor during his stand-up sets, and the new special is no different.

The Off the Record tour will have the South African stand-up hit international cities, too, though those dates and destinations have yet to be announced.

Taylor Swift shocker: New album, "The Tortured Poets Department," is actually a double album

By Alex Sundby , Brian Dakss

Updated on: April 19, 2024 / 10:28 PM EDT / CBS News

Anticipation was growing at a fever pitch before Taylor Swift's latest album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," dropped at midnight EDT. But the pop superstar had a huge surprise on tap: It's actually a double album.

When Part One dropped, Swift wrote on Instagram , "All's fair in love and poetry... New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out now 🤍"

Then came the shocker, revealed in an Instagram post saying , "It's a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album. ✌️ I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here's the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn't mine anymore… it's all yours. 🤍."

What's Taylor Swift's new album about?

Swift described the album as "new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time — one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure."

She also said that time has been "closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted."

"Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Denny Directo called the record some of her most vulnerable work.

"Fans were left with more questions than there were answers, so good luck trying to decipher who these songs are about, what they mean," Directo told CBS News. "… I feel like there's more heartbreak songs on this than there are love songs."

Hours ahead of the record's release, Swift said on social media that its first single was "Fortnight," featuring Post Malone, and its music video was released Friday night .

Swift praised the Grammy-nominated artist's musical experimentation and melodies "that just stick in your head forever."

"I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight," Swift said in her post .

"Fortnight" isn't the only track on the album on which Swift worked with another artist. Florence and The Machine is also featured.

What's on "The Tortured Poets Department" tracklist?

Swift posted an initial tracklist to social media in February one day after she announced the album at  the Grammys , where she won for best pop vocal album. Here's the list of all 31 songs:

  • "Fortnight"
  • "The Tortured Poets Department"

Scottie Scheffler finishes off another win at RBC Heritage to extend dominant run

Daily Wrap Up

Change Text Size

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — A Masters green jacket wasn’t enough for Scottie Scheffler.

Scheffler was running on emotional fumes fresh off his four-shot victory at Augusta National Golf Club, but full of purpose that more than made up for his lack of preparation for the RBC Heritage. The result not only was similar, it has come to be expected.

He rarely missed a shot. He gave little hope to those chasing him. And he walked away from Harbour Town Golf Links on Monday morning with another victory that extended a dominance not seen since the peak years of Tiger Woods.

“I didn’t show up here just to have some sort of ceremony and have people tell me congratulations," Scheffler said after polishing off a 3-under 68 for a three-shot victory. "I came here with a purpose."

Victory was inevitable — Scheffler had a five-shot lead with three holes to play when the final round, delayed 2 1/2 hours because of storms Sunday afternoon, was suspended by darkness. It’s starting to feel that way whenever he plays.

Scheffler now has won four of his last five starts, the exception a runner-up finish in the Texas Children's Houston Open when he misread a 5-foot birdie putt that would have forced a playoff.

Scottie Scheffler closes out 72nd hole to cement 10th win at RBC Heritage

He considered this one of the tougher wins because it followed the Masters.

“Coming off the high last week to going into here, not really with a ton of energy, not really with a ton of prep work,” Scheffler said. “I think it’s underrated how difficult it is to do the stuff that Tiger was doing, and win like every single week. It takes a lot out of you emotionally and physically, especially major championships.”

Turns out he had plenty left in the tank.

Scheffler now has 40 consecutive rounds at par or better, a streak that began at East Lake in the TOUR Championship last August. His position at No. 1 in the world is so great that he became the first player since Woods to crack the 15-point average mark.

“It’s very impressive,” Patrick Cantlay said. “He’s played great for a while now — a number of years — and it seems like he is playing the best golf of his life right now.”

The only competition Monday morning was for second place.

The storms brought cold weather and a strong wind. Scheffler missed the 18th green to the right, chipped safely to 18 feet and two-putted for bogey. That ended his streak of 68 consecutive holes with no worse than a par.

“I hit driver, 3-wood into there,” Scheffler said. “So I’m going to count that as a par for myself.”

Sahith Theegala birdied the 16th hole, saved par from a bunker on the par-3 17th and closed with a par for a 68 to finish alone in second.

“Even though I finished second, I felt like I was never really in it to win there. Scottie was just so far ahead,” Theegala said.

Cantlay (68) and U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark, who finished his 65 on Sunday before the storms, tied for third.

Scheffler finished at 19-under 265.

The good news for the rest of the PGA TOUR: Scheffler won’t show up again until the PGA Championship the third week in May. He headed back home to Dallas, where his wife his expecting their first child sometime next week.

Scheffler was staked to a one-shot lead starting the final round and chipped in for eagle on the second hole. Before long, he had a four-shot lead and never showed any signs of coming back.

“I got off to a good start yesterday and kind of just kept it going from there,” he said.

The week wasn’t the smoothest start for Scheffler, who was six shots behind after an opening round that included a shank from the bunker on the third hole for a double bogey. He didn’t drop another shot the rest of the week until it no longer mattered.

About the only thing that went wrong for Scheffler was the celebration. His caddie, Ted Scott, went for an elevated chest pump and Scheffler just laughed at him without moving.

About 400 spectators waiting along the 18th fairway were allowed to fill a corner of the grandstands as Scheffler approached. He turned and waved his cap toward them after tapping in his final stroke of another masterpiece.

Such is Scheffler’s dominance that his last seven victories have come against fields that had at least eight of the top 10 players in the world.

The last player to run off a stretch like this — four wins and a runner-up — was Woods at the end of 2007. Woods then won his first three PGA TOUR starts (and one on the DP World Tour) to start 2008.

Scheffler now has 10 titles on the PGA TOUR in a span of 51 tournaments dating to his first victory in the 2022 WM Phoenix Open.

“It does not get boring,” Scheffler said. “I think hitting a really well-struck golf shot close to the pin is like an addicting feeling.”

Female Lobbyists.png

Washington experienced an unprecedented rise in prostitution during and after the Civil War. During this period, Pennsylvania Avenue became DC's most notorious red light district, from the ramshackle "boarding houses" of Murder Bay to the glamorous pleasure houses of Marble Alley, all within sight of the Capitol. Also, a new profession for women was rising, that of the "female lobbyist." This tour will introduce you to some of the most notorious women of mid-19th Century DC.

Route starts at the Willard Intercontinental and travels down Pennsylvania Avenue, which was the main thoroughfare along which DC's red light district arose. There is a half-way stop at Hill Country BBQ for a bathroom break and refreshments. Tour ends at the National Museum of the American Indian. Tour runs approximately 2.5 hours. Tour runs  1st and 3rd  Friday of the Month at  7pm.

Women of Cold  War Washington

An ill-fated artist, an Ambassador's wife, a Baroness, and the most powerful woman in journalism.....What do they all have in common? They were part of the most exclusive club of power-players in Cold War DC. These amazing women made their mark in a man's world using every tool at their disposal.

Tour runs approximately 2 - 2.5 hours and begins at Thomas Sweet Shop at 3214 P Street NW DC, and ends at Oak Hill Cemetery at 3001 R Street NW.   1st Sunday of the Month at  2pm.

Ellington to Langston - the Jazz Era iN DC

imagejpeg_0(1)_edited.jpg

Come on  a winding journey through an era in which the U Street neighborhood of Washington, DC was giving rise to a vibrant jazz scene and establishing the roots of a new movement in black intellectualism. Al so known as "Black Broadway", the U Street corridor was where the big names in jazz came to play at one of the dozens of clubs and theaters, and hobnob with writers and thinkers such as Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston, and Alain Locke.

Tour begins at the historic Howard Theater at 620 T Street NW and ends at the corner of 14th and U Street NW. The tour also makes a halfway stop at the famous Ben's Chili Bowl for a bathroom break and optional refreshment. Tour runs the first Saturday of the month at 3pm.

History of Black GeorgetowN

Alfred popes house.jpg

Before it was a part of Washington, DC, Georgetown was an independent, bustling port city that boasted thriving trades in many goods, including slaves. At one point African Americans counted for as much as 30% of the Georgetown population. Descendants of enslaved peoples and free black folk have lived in Georgetown for generations, but their contributions to its history do not often receive recognition. This tour will reveal the stories of the black citizens who made their mark on one of DC’s oldest neighborhoods.

The tour starts at 3206 O Street NW DC and ends at the Mt. Zion/Female Union Band Cemetery at 2501 Mill Rd. NW. There is a half-way stop at Thomas Sweet Shop for a bathroom break and refreshment.  Third Saturday of the Month at 2pm.

Historic AlleywaYS

image007.jpg

The alleyways of DC served a distinct purpose as a city planning feature, but they also provided a hidden safe space where escaped enslaved people and the economically disadvantaged could find inexpensive housing and live their lives away from prying eyes. While city officials condemned life in the alleyways as dangerous, dirty and diseased, they were in fact a place where communities sustained each other and provided security. This walking tour takes you through the Blagden Alley/Naylor Court Historic District, and reveals their secrets.

Tour starts at 909 M Street NW DC and ends in Blagden Alley. Guests will have a half-way stop at the La Colombe Coffee for a bathroom break and optional refreshments. Tour runs approximately 1.5 hours.    1st Sunday of the Month at 2pm .

930club poster.png

In the 1980s, the Reagan Administration was reinstating the Selective Service, hippies were turning in yuppies, and the punk scene rose as a reaction to what they saw as a conformist, soulless government. While punk is often associated with London, New York, and LA, there was a substantial scene in DC that had anchors in downtown and elsewhere. The original 9:30 Club and other spaces were the venues where bands like Minor Threat and Bad Brains got started before going on to world renown. On this tour you'll discover what made the DC punk culture distinct from others, the major contributors to the scene, and its lasting impact on the local music scene today.

Tour begins outside of the F and 7th Street Exit of Gallery Place Metro Station (red, green and yellow lines) and ends at the MLK Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street NW DC. 4th  Saturday of the Month at 2pm.

Queer Black Broadway

The U Street Corridor was known as "Black Broadway" in its heyday of the early 20th Century, and was also the center for social justice and fringe movements that fought to bring more opportunity for marginalized groups, including an active Queer community that was associated with the Harlem Renaissance, the Pansy Craze, underground crime worlds, and the wide world of entertainment. This 1.5 hour walking tour begins at 2204 14th Street and ends at Shaw Tavern.

Echoes of Navy Yard

The Navy Yard is DC’s oldest neighborhood, and was also one of the largest sources of employment for the city's citizens, the entry point into the capital, a destination of DC’s first mass transit system, and much more. This  2-hour walking tour will show you the hidden historic side of this amazing and rapidly changing neighborhood. Tour begins at the New Jersey exit of the Navy Yard - Ballpark metro station (green line), and ends at the Capital Waterfront.

 History ofJewish Washington

OTM's partner guide Ami Greener leads this tour about notable Jewish contributions to DC history!  It will also answer such questions as: Who was the first US president to visit a DC synagogue while in office, and why did he donate $10? Why did the first synagogue built in DC have wheels? Which historic synagogue was saved at the last minute from turning into a nightclub? And who were the first Jews to live in this new city on the Potomac? You'll get the answer to these questions and more on that fascinating and insightful tour.

Derek Hough, dancer/judge/six-time champion of “Dancing With the Stars,” and his wife Hayley Erbert Hough visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park recently as they kicked off another leg of the Symphony of Dance tour.

The couple, along with the rest of the tour’s dance cast and crew, went to Animal Kingdom on the day before their performance at Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, one of four stops in Florida.

An earlier performance in Melbourne marked the return to the stage by Hayley Hough, who had an emergency craniectomy in December after a tour performance.  She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma due to a burst blood vessel. She has since had a cranioplasty, surgery to replace part of her skull. ( People magazine reported a standing ovation for her Melbourne performance.)

The couple made a red carpet appearance at a Disney+ event and also announced her return to the tour earlier this month. The cities on this leg of the tour were originally scheduled for late last year and postponed by the surgery.

The couple married in August. They met in 2014 during Derek Hough’s tour with his sister Julianne Hough.  Derek Hough has four Emmys for his choreography. Hayley Hough appeared as a contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance” and as a member of the troupe in multiple seasons of “Dancing With the Stars.”

Kid Cudi is just chilling since he busted his ankle on the final night of the Coachella music festival in Indio last weekend. And he’s keeping it positive, even though the injury might affect his upcoming tour.

“Layin n bed w my moms like when I was a kid,” the rapper — born Scott Mescudi — wrote Tuesday morning on social media . “her and my fiancé [sic] Lola have been holdin me down since I got injured and I feel like the luckiest man alive.”

Giant statues with glowing eyes appear in Long Beach, New York City to mark Kid Cudi album release

The 33-foot statues of the Grammy-winning rapper have sparked both praise and incredulity online. Over the weekend, one is reportedly scheduled to pass by Redondo, Marina Del Rey, Santa Monica and Malibu.

Jan. 13, 2024

On Monday, Cudi was similarly exuberant, posting a handful of photos from his weekend set and one from his emergency ride right afterward. (Not included: photos taken of him immediately after he jumped off the Sahara Stage, lying in pain on the ground. The injury was his first broken bone, he wrote later on X (formerly Twitter), and added, “I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

Reps for the rapper didn’t respond immediately Tuesday to The Times’ request for an update on his status.

The jump and ensuing accident reportedly caused the rapper to end his headlining act early on Sunday.

“This was me right after the fall in the ambulance. All smiles like a G,” he wrote on Instagram. “No pain coulda stopped me from feelin the joy I felt from the show. To everyone who came out yesterday and has been checkin in on me and sendin love, I F— LOVE U!!! Coachella, thats how we rage. U know how we do everytime. Festival Cud always a dope experience.”

As hip-hop celebrates its 50th anniversary on Aug. 11, The Times looks back at the artists, songs and innovations that changed the course of popular culture.

In a video posted the same day and captured by TMZ , he said with a chuckle, “This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off stage like he’s 26, like he used to do back in the day.”

He added that he was “hoping” to be healed up in time to hit the road. His Insano: Engage the Rage World Tour is scheduled to launch June 28, a little over two months from today. It might be possible. “Treatment for a broken ankle depends on the exact site and severity of the bone fracture,” the Mayo Clinic says. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Clinic says it can take 12 to 16 weeks for a nonsurgical broken ankle to be healthy.

In response to a fan who asked whether he would appear at Lollapalooza this year, Cudi wrote, “At this point i just wanna make an appearance at my tour.”

He ended the tweet with a sobbing emoji.

Camille Kostek didn’t spend nearly two decades training as a dancer to secure an NFL player.

The model — who met her boyfriend, former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski, while she was a cheerleader for the Patriots in 2015 — reminisced about her time with the organization and how their relationship might’ve looked on the surface.

“When people hear you’re an NFL cheerleader, they might think you’re just trying to date an athlete. To have to train for 17 years as a dancer — that’s a difficult way to get a boyfriend,” Kostek said in a cover interview for the May/June 2024 issue of Maxim magazine .

Camille Kostek covers the May/June 2024 issue of Maxim magazine.

The 32-year-old, who retired her pom poms for good to pursue a career in entertainment, modeled a white button-up shirt and underwear in the same color on the cover, and stunned in a series of sultry looks in other shots.

Kostek was a Patriots cheerleader when Gronkowski won his first Super Bowl with the team in February 2015.

The “Free Guy” actress, who began dancing at age three, joined the Patriots’ cheerleading roster in 2013 and landed the cover of the cheerleaders’ annual swimsuit calendar, which was shot in Saint Lucia.

“I feel like, at surface level, when someone reads a quick bio about me or they ask what I do and I say I’m a model or TV host, or they learn that I rose to prominence for posing in a bikini, they can be quick to judge,” Kostek told Maxim.

“But the reason I was drawn to [modeling] in the first place wasn’t because I wanted to be in a bikini and pose, it was about loving the skin that I’m in. Even when I was struggling to love it. Thankfully, advertising is evolving, but at that time, it was difficult to even find a girl with freckly skin or see a girl’s boobs hang in her bikini top! That was attractive, natural and beautiful to me. I wanted to see someone who looked like myself or my [friends] in magazines.”

Camille Kostek covers the May/June 2024 issue of Maxim magazine.

Kostek explained that she believes “rejection is redirection” when it comes to to her career.

“You have to embrace who you are. The quicker you believe that and settle into that mindset, the more everything just flows in life — with health, yourself, relationships and career,” she said.

“My first big TV show was ‘Wipeout’ on TBS when they did the reboot [in 2021].”

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski, right, and Camille Kostek wave from a boat during a celebration of their Super Bowl 55 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs with a boat parade, Feb. 10, 2021, in Tampa, Fla.

Kostek is currently focused on her career in modeling, acting and hosting — and is set to make her seventh straight appearance in the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine, which releases in May.

“I hate being complacent. I feel like I get bored easily, so I’m constantly trying to find new things,” she said. “Acting is that thing for me right now that scares me so bad because I’m used to being a TV host, talking directly to the camera. Embodying a character and pretending the cameras aren’t there is still new to me, but I love it.”

Kostek also said she has stint with “Dancing With the Stars” on her vision board for 2024.

As for Gronkowski? The future Fall of Fame tight end called it a career for good after the 2021 season and has transitioned into broadcasting.

His first retirement came in March 2019, and then he returned a year later to join pal Tom Brady on the Buccaneers, with the duo winning another Super Bowl together in February 2021.

Gronkowski and Kostek attended the Boston Marathon , where the four-time Super Bowl champ served as the grand marshal of the race.

The couple attended a Red Sox-Guardians game in the same weekend and Gronkowski spiked a football on the mound before he threw out the first pitch at Fenway.

Moscow metro tour: architectural styles of the subway.

off the tour

Duration: 2 hours

Categories: Culture & History, Sightseeing

This metro tour of Russia’s capital and most populous city, Moscow, is your chance to get a unique insight into the beautiful and impressive architecture of the city's underground stations. Admire their marble walls and high ceilings representing Stalin's desire for glory after World War 2, and see first-hand how the interiors change with the rise of new political eras. Your guide will lead you through the complex network, which is one of the most heavily used rapid transit systems worldwide, with over two billion travelers in 2011.

Opened in 1935, Moscow’s underground system, now 190 miles (305 km) long with 185 stations, is today one the largest and most heavily used rapid transit systems in the world. On this Moscow metro tour, discover the impressive architecture of Moscow’s underground stations and learn how they reflect the Soviet era.

Getting around by metro, your local guide will take you through parts of Moscow’s infamous history. Stop at stations built during the time of the USSR (Soviet Union) that are praised as one of the most extravagant architectural projects from Stalin’s time. After World War 2, he was keen on establishing Stalinist architecture to represent his rising regime and a recognized empire. Learn how when his successor started the de-Stalinization of the former Soviet Union in 1953, the extravagancy of the architecture was toned down.

Discover how the unique character of each station reflected several different eras. While stations like Kievskaya and Slavyansky Bulvar have pompous halls and high stucco ceilings brimming with extravagant decorations, those built later, like Volzhskaya, are lightly adorned with sparse furnishings. Architect Alexey Dushkin and painter Alexander Deyneka were just two of the many artists who made these magnificent landmarks possible.

Revel in Moscow's glory days, as well as the years of scarcity, on this fascinating Moscow metro experience. Conclude your tour at one of the central stations in Moscow. If you're lucky, you may even find the secret entrance to the unconfirmed Metro-2, a parallel underground system used by the government -- a mystery which has neither been denied nor confirmed today.

Culture Shock Rating

We have a wide range of tours designed to give you an insight into the destination you're travelling in and there is something for everybody. The culture shock ratings considers the destination visited, transport used, activities undertaken and that "Wow, I'm really not at home now!" factor. While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…

This is the least confronting of our tour range. Transport used on the trip is either private or a very comfortable public option, the activities included are usually iconic sites and locations that are not all too confronting.

The tour can include a mix of private and public transport providing a level of comfort that is slightly below what you would experience at home. Sites visited are usually iconic sites, tours can also include market visits, visits to communities etc that provide the traveller with a fantastic insight into destination.

Expect to rough it for parts of this tour, whether it's a packed public bus where you are forced to stand, a visit to a local market, a local community, you are sure to have an experience that is very different from what you're used to at home.

The comforts of your home town and the environment you are used to are more of a rarity. Expect some challenging transport options, visits to local sites and areas that don't resemble anything at home.

You're out there in the global community! You are likely to be exposed to the elements, travel in whatever means of transport is available and basically take it as it comes, whatever comes! It can be tough.

Physical Rating

Our physical rating gives you an idea of how much huffing and puffing you can expect on the tour. While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…

These tours have very limited physical activity. Usually climbing in and out of the transport provided, walking through sites, markets etc included in the itinerary.

These tours have a bit of physical activity but nothing that should challenge you too much. This could be climbing on and off public transport through to a walk through the destination you're travelling in, they can include walking only tours or a combination of walking and transport.

These tours involve a bit of physical activity from walking up and down hills in the destination you're travelling in or the surrounding areas. Climbing on and off local transport or riding a bike up to 30 kms along predominantly flat terrain or jumping in a kayak for a gentle paddle on flat water.

These Tours will provide you with some solid physical activity. Whether its bike riding, walking, trekking, kayaking or riding on public transport you will need to have a good level of fitness to enjoy this tour.

Be prepared for some serious physical activity. These tours are our most challenging and involve some serious walking, hiking or bike riding. Can involve step climbs by foot or pedal and some challenging public transport options in the destination you are travelling.

Luxury Rating

Some trips are like a stroll on the beach, while others have you trekking alpine passes. Some of you thrive on camping out on the savannah, while others may prefer a hot shower and a comfortable bed in a lodge. Follow the grading systems below to find the right trip for you.

To help you choose the trip that's right for you, we've broken all of our trips down into four service levels. Measuring the comfort level of the accommodation and transport. So whether you're travelling on a budget and want to save money by using public transport, or prefer upgraded accommodation and are happy to pay a little more, then we have a level for you.

Georgia Recruiting Tour - Spring Practice Kicks Off For Biggest Prospects

Georgia Recruiting Tour - Spring Practice Kicks Off For Biggest Prospects

  • Author: Brooks Austin

Every spring, I set out to see as many high school football prospects as this great state of Georgia provides as I possibly can. Here are my thoughts, notes, and experiences from the 2024 trail.

The State of Georgia is not short of football talent or resources. At the conclusion of the 2023 NFL season, there were 136 players from the state of Georgia. It's become the place to be not only during the fall when looking for football talent, but it's perhaps even more paramount to be out on the trail during the spring time for college programs looking to land Peachstate products.

Here in Georgia, spring practices involve ten practices and a scrimmage against either yourself or an opponent. For comparison, in California, they can't put the pads on until August. So, during this time every year, I set out to see as many high school football programs in this great state as I possibly can. These are the stories from the road. Enjoy.

Jonesboro An (8-4) football team in 6A a year ago, the Jonesboro football program is not short of talent. They are not short of players with major offers, particularly their junior defensive back group. DL, Jeremiah Ticket, DB, Cortez Redding, LB, Jeremiah Collier, DB, Jamar Owens, and DB Hontavious Wyman all hold division one offers. I left impressed with 2026 corner Jamar Owens and 2025 DL Jeremiah Ticket. Owens is a 6'1, 190-pound corner with tremendous length and athleticism, it should be a massive spring and summer for Ownes with regards to offers from some of the biggest programs like potentially Georgia and Ohio State where he's expected to camp soon. As for Ticket, Ticket is originally from Alaska and has only been playing football for about two seasons now, and boy is he athletic at his size. I was simply blown away by his movement skills at his size.

I’m keeping tabs on @JeremiahTicket7 6’3, 270 pounds relatively new to football. Big joker from Alaska originally. Think he’s just scratching the surface. pic.twitter.com/7RD4hLmB36 — Brooks Austin (@BrooksAustinBA) April 24, 2024

Putin taunts the West with 'first ever' visit to remote ice-covered 'frontier region' just 55 miles from the US - as Zelensky tries to drum up war support in Lithuania

  • Chukotka is Russia's easternmost region, sharing a maritime border with Alaska

President Vladimir Putin  has arrived for his first-ever presidential visit to Chukotka in Russia 's Far East - just 55 miles from the US state of Alaska .

Putin arrived in Anadyr, the local capital of the Chukotka region this morning after flying from Moscow some nine time zones away.

Chukotka is the easternmost region of Russia, with a maritime border on the Bering Strait with Alaska.

The Russian president was met in Anadyr by a motorcade and was whisked away in a limousine amid frigid temperatures of -28C.

It's the closest he has come to US soil since he met with President  Barack Obama in New York City in 2015.

Chukotka is so close to Alaska that Roman Abramovich - the ex-Chelsea FC owner - was reported to fly to Anchorage in Alaska for lunch when he was the governor of the region from 2001 - 2008.

Putin's visit comes at a time when US-Russian relations are at their lowest ebb in decades amid the war in Ukraine and a growing East-West divide.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today landed in Lithuania as part of an unannounced trip to the Baltic states to drum up more support for the conflict.

Global war for control of the ARCTIC: Climate change is unlocking untapped natural resources, new trade routes... and a new international conflict that RUSSIA is already winning

The three Baltic states - all former Soviet republics which are now EU and NATO members - are among Ukraine's staunchest allies.

'Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are our reliable friends and principled partners. Today, I arrived in Vilnius before going to Tallinn and Riga,' Zelensky said on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

'Security, EU and NATO integration, cooperation on electronic warfare and drones, and further coordination of European support are all on the agenda,' he said.

The Baltic tour marks Zelensky's first official trip abroad this year.

In Lithuania, a key donor to Ukraine, Zelensky said he will hold talks with the president, prime minister and the speaker of parliament, and meet with the Ukrainian community.

The visit comes as other Kyiv allies waver on fresh aid, nearly two years into Russia's invasion.

Ukraine has come under intense Russian shelling in recent weeks, retaliating with strikes on Russia's border city of Belgorod.

Zelensky has urged allies to keep military support flowing and held in-person talks with officials from the United States, Germany and Norway last month.

But an EU aid package worth 50 billion euros ($55 billion) has been stuck in Brussels following a veto by Hungary, while the US Congress remains divided on sending additional aid to Ukraine.

Following his trip to Chukotka, Putin is expected to visit several regions in the Russian Far East to boost his re-election campaign amid the war with Ukraine, which has seen more than 300,000 Russians killed or maimed.

He is due to stand in March, seeking another six years in the Kremlin.

The only Kremlin leader ever to travel to Chukotka previously was Dmitry Medvedev in 2008.

Putin's trip sees him escape a wave of ugly protests in western Russia over hundreds of thousands of people scraping by in freezing conditions due to breakdowns in communal heating supplies.

In Elektrostal, Moscow region, desperate residents say they have had no communal heating - which Russians routinely expect the state to supply usually through piped hot water - for the entire winter so far.

'We have been without heating since [9 October],' one resident said in a video circulating on Telegram.

'It is impossible to be in our homes… We are freezing! We are freezing! We are freezing!' they said.
