A global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world, a sightseeing trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower.
While you will catch glimpses of the tower as you travel throughout Paris, we recommend first-time visitors make the most of the opportunity by touring the structure itself. There are three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels and a viewing deck on the third (906 ft above ground).
The tower is the most visited-paid tourist attraction in the world so if you’d like to include it in your itinerary we do generally recommend purchasing in advance our skip-the-line tickets to avoid queuing.
Every trip to the capital deserves a guided visit to the Louvre to discover the wealth of treasures it contains. The museum houses western works of art dating from the Middle Ages to 1848, in addition to collections of ancient oriental, Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman civilizations, as well as graphic and Islamic arts. From room to room, the former royal palace reveals its masterpieces to the public: the Mona Lisa, The Raft of the Medusa, the Venus de Milo, The Winged Victory of Samothrace, and many more.
The most beautiful and well-known avenue in Paris. It connects Arc de Triomphe with the Place de la Concorde and is considered one of the world’s most famous commercial streets.
Home of Monet’s incredible Water Lilies, which is a permanent exhibition as well as art from Cezanne, Modigliani, and Picasso to name a few of the famous artists displayed at this museum. The museum is located in the Tuileries garden close to the Louvre where you can enjoy a stroll along the banks of the Seine after your private tour and have lunch at one of the nearby brasseries.
Known as the Beverly Hills of the Riviera, Cannes is an elegant coastal city located just west of Nice.
We start your tour of Cannes with a visit to Le Suquet, the original Roman hillside settlement of Cannes which is filled with pastel-colored houses and cottages and narrow cobbled streets, and stop for refreshments in one of the many hillside cafes that overlook the Bay of Cannes.
Next, we head to the indoor market, Marche Forville filled with local farmers and artisan food manufacturers.
In the afternoon head to the Grand Auditorium for a private tour, your driver guide will even take a photograph of you on the famous red-carpeted steps outside the building. Later stroll along the iconic La Promenade de Croisette.
What began as a quiet fishing village transformed into one of the premier destinations for visitors and international A-list celebrities on the French Riviera.
As far back as the 19th century, Saint Tropez was a quiet town on the coast of France. By the late 1800s, many writers and artists traveled to the area for inspiration such as Paul Signac, Henry Matisse, and Guy de Maupassant.
Over time, more artists and celebrities fell in love with the area including Ernest Hemingway, Brigitte Bardot, Pablo Picasso, and many more. Today it still attracts the world’s most famous celebrities.
For such a small territory, Monaco has earned a reputation as one of the most luxurious tourist resorts in the world. The cascading hills leading towards crystalline shores populated by gleaming white yachts are the last word in luxury.
Perhaps more than any other, Monaco is the favored destination of the rich and famous on the French Riviera. Contact our team and we will design a luxury tour itinerary for your time here.
The Paillon River, now partly built over, separates the new town to the west from the old town, the harbor, and the commercial district to the east. The old town, with narrow winding streets, stands at the western base of a granite hill known as Le Château.
The harbor, begun in 1750 and extended after 1870, is now used primarily by ferry services to Corsica, sailing craft, and yachts. The most striking part of the new town is the famous Promenade des Anglais, which originated in 1822 as a path along the shore built by the English colony.
Chamonix is primarily known as a winter ski resort, in fact, the first Olympic Winter games were held here in 1924. Things have changed over the decades and even in summer, Chamonix is a thriving busy town.
We head first to the famous Aiguilles des Midi, one of the world’s highest (and steepest) cable cars which only takes 20 minutes to reach its destination which is 3,842 m high. Step out of the cable car and take in the most spectacular views of the Alps and of course Mont Blanc For those of you more adventurous you can step onto a viewing platform which is essentially a glass box suspended over the mountain face.
Get in touch with Nature on your French vacation with a curated and guided tour of the forested mountains, natural beauty, and wildlife found here.
Perhaps the premier skiing resort town in the French Alps ski lifts give access to sites like the steep Face de Bellevarde, a black-rated piste, and the Grande Motte glacier, known for summer ski runs.
Known as the Capital of the Alps, Grenoble town is famous for winter sports, hiking, museums, and universities.
Known as the ‘Garden of France’ due to its plentiful vineyards and superb produce that grows along the banks of the river, we always encourage our guests to try a gastronomy experience when touring the valley, whether that be a wine tasting experience with a local producer, fine dining in one of the local towns like Sancerre or Nantes, or visiting a local market such as the daily one in Tours where your guide can introduce you to the finer points of this classically French pastime.
This wine region has 5 key growing areas: Chablis, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, Côte des Nuits and Macconais and has been a wine-producing region since 854 when local monks first arrived in the region.
Reims and Champagne
Reims is not just famous for champagne, but it is also known as the City of Kings as it was in the cathedral in Reims that the Kings of France were crowned from 816 until 1825 – an impressive 33 Kings.
A visit to Reims would not be complete without a champagne tasting. Enjoy a private cellar tour in one of the city’s most famous champagne houses with their head vintner who will explain why this small area in France is the only place in the world where champagne can be produced.
When you think of Bordeaux, first and foremost – it’s wine that comes to mind. And no wonder, with 60 appellations and 7000 winemakers, the city is the capital of a region that is home to some of the oldest vineyards and finest wines in the world. When you visit Bordeaux, it’s not just about wine though – water is important too. A stroll along the banks of the River Garonne and the estuary of the Gironde reveals culture, nature, wine tourism, and enchanting chateaux. Head south to experience the glorious coastline, savor fresh oysters, and feel the silky sand of the Arcachon basin. Take the time to just be – and enjoy the joie de vivre.

Paris , Oh La La! | 5 Days
Great tour to see the most famous locations in Paris. Our guide Sandra was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was perfect timing and the skip the line feature is fantastic! The Hotel Perreyve is very well located for solo travelers however the rooms are very small. The private airport transfer were on time and communication was easy with the company. Thank you.

Loire Cycle Path: Wild-romantic all the way to the sea (from Orleans to St-Nazaire)
Fantastic trip. Hotels were tremendous, especially the meal in the hotel in Saint Florent-le-Vieil. Maps were good though I used my app Bikemap.net, to act as a Sat Nav. A couple of hiccups with luggaeew but minor in comparison with holiday organisation. Would certainly recommend.
Loire Cycle Path: Wild-romantic all the way to the sea (from Tours to St-Nazaire)
The luggage was always on site, the hotels so O.k. and the description was good. For the navigation I was glad about the Garmin Navi.

Fabulous. We had a wonderful trip!! Our tour guide, Jenny, was exceptional in explaining things during our walking tours. She was very knowledgeable about the places we were visiting, and she was super nice as well. We loved the hotel in city center Paris. I'd say also you must be ready to walk a lot during day. Thank you

Private france tour reviews.
I was very pleased with all aspects of my trip ie. hotel, tour guides and transportation provides for the excursions as well as my driver to the airport on my date of departure. My only compliant is with the transportation from the airport on the date of my arrival since he left because I wasn’t able to make it to the arrival lounge within an hour for meetup because of the time it took from departing the plane, going through customs and waiting on my baggage. The driver did try to contact me but it was over WhatsApp and do t receive notifications since I rarely if ever use that app and Eskapas didn’t let me know to expect communications through that app. Other than the initial dissatisfaction with that and having to get other transportation as well as an added expense for an Uber I was very satisfied with the rest of the experience.
This tour was overall good it allows you to get to experience Paris when you don't have a lot of time. The walking tour guide was excellent even though we had a rocky start due to him receiving the wrong pick up location. The hotel was 3 not 4 star with a small room. It was clean quaint with friendly helpful staff. The description of tour failed to inform how physically demanding it is particularly for older or out of shape tourist. There is a lot of walking and stairs. The Eiffel Tower 2nd floor climb should have the option to purchase a lift ticket up front and disclose that it is over 600 steps to 2 nd floor.

Located right in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte d’Or vineyards, the old medieval town of Beaune lives and breathes for the ‘draught of vintage tasting of Flora and the country green’.
Vineyards and wine, particularly signature varieties like Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot are staples from the Bordeaux region. This wine country between the rivers Garonne and the Dordogne is behind most of the red wine bottled with Bordeaux supérieur labels.

Known as the Capital of the Alps, Grenoble town is famous for winter sports, hiking, museums, and universities.
Perhaps the premier skiing resort town in the French Alps ski lifts give access to sites like the steep Face de Bellevarde, a black-rated piste, and the Grande Motte glacier, known for summer ski runs.
Get in touch with Nature on your French vacation with a curated and guided tour of the forested mountains, natural beauty, and wildlife found here.
Reims is not just famous for champagne, but it is also known as the City of Kings as it was in the cathedral in Reims where Kings of France were crowned from 816 until 1825 – an impressive 33 Kings.
A visit to Reims would not be complete without a champagne tasting. Enjoy a private cellar tour in one of the city’s most famous champagne houses with their head vintner who will explain why this small area in France is the only place in the world where champagne can be produced.
This wine region has 5 key growing areas: Chablis, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, Côte des Nuits and Macconais and has been a wine-producing region since 854 when local monks first arrived in the region.

Rich in culture, food, and beauty, France’s stereotypes are as true as they are enchanting. With every turn worthy of a painting, a stroll through France easily explains the country’s adherence to high-end art. Every square, garden, and café seems the perfect backdrop for a sketch; France’s high cultural concentration effortlessly captures regional art, music, language, and food. Yes, the nation’s food is a majority shareholder in France’s cultural personality. Shopping the markets for fresh produce, lengthy lunches at outdoor cafes, and hot breakfast croissants are staples in daily French living, while fluffy pastries and homegrown wine make frequent, delectable appearances. As any France tour guide will tell you, tourists have the luxury of relaxing in local leisure or diving into the natural-made adventure. Whether skiing the Alps or rolling down Europe’s highest sand dune, France is a place of exhilaration as much as it is of respite. With a well-balanced persona of chic decadence and traditional charm, there is little reason not to book your trip today.

Hi there! My nickname is Leo, I've been a tour guide in Paris and France for 6 years and I love my job and meeting people from all over the world to share my passion with! My speciality is the museum of catacombs, which is a very unique site. I also do tours of the historical crimes and legends of Paris, the Eiffel Tower, Seine river cruise, Chartres and its cathedral, the cemetery of Père Lachaise, Le Marais and much more.
I am an experienced tour guide and a friendly Franco-American who has lived in Paris for 33 years. Travelers feel comfortable with me due to my fluency in both English & French. I am a trained historian and my tours are well researched, well documented and well presented on high tech material (tablet), a multi-media experience using archival photos, video footage (and when appropriate sound). My tours are not for the first time traveler - I could never compete with the big bucket tours that go to the Eiffel Tower. Instead, I market tours for those who have already seen the sights and want to see Paris beyond the monuments, the real Paris with its private courtyards, quiet cobblestoned streets & hidden monuments that only locals know.
After a long experience in the Food & Beverage scene in Paris, I would be happy to make you discover the more trendy districts of Paris through a gourmet and festive perspective! Let's discover at the same time Paris history/geography and the best places to have lunch /dinner / cocktails and where to buy tasty food.

Being a native from Villefranche-sur-Mer, in the heart of the French Riviera, a little fishermen's village located right between Nice and Monaco and facing the world-famous Cap Ferrat, I grew up in the valley outside Nice and started to discover the cities of the Côte d'Azur as a young boy with my parents and family, later on as a teenager with my friends. After studying corporate public relations, I had one of the best opportunity of my life, something that I secretly always wished, to go live in United States, working for the famous Sun Valley ski resort for two years in Idaho as a restaurant and banquet manager. When I came back to Nice, I went back to school to be graduated as a French professional tour guide and lecturer in English and Spanish, then i started to work as a tour guide in different tour companies and quickly decided to face a new challenge by opening a tour guide company that will look more like me, which means showing my region as a local to my clients and make sure they feel as with friends, all along their stay, not just when they are with me for the tour. Providing private professional guided tours today for shore excursions or visitors staying in various hotels in Cannes, Monaco or Nice is obviously the greatest and most enjoyable job that suit me, as natural and sincere I can be, it pushes me on being exceptionally great every day because my guest deserves so much coming from so far to discover our region, i only have one day to stay in their memories for a very long time, showing you the best places around the French Riviera. Since 2007, me and my team of native born and raised professional tour guide are specialized in providing private tours on the French Riviera, which mean that we adjust our tours with your requests and wishes, we have had a lots of unique and very interesting experiences that we will always remember because of sharing unique life moments.
I have over 17 years of experience in the Touring Industry. If you are looking for a knowledgeable native of Nice who knows the best places to show you, time to admire the beauty of the Riviera with historical information and a genuine love of the area then I am the right tour guide for you. I will be happy to share with you the love and passion that I have for my beautiful region to make your stay unique and to offer you an unforgettable experience!

Paris: Montmatre/ Sacre Coeur- The Artistic & Bohemian Epicenter
“ Fabulous morning with Jill in Montmartre - highly recommend ”
Jill’s tour was the highlight of my 3 day stay in Paris! Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the neighborhood’s history, culture and people are mind-blogging. She showed me places I could have never discovered on my own, each with its own captivating story. Jill also gave me good tips about places such as “the best baguette”, wine stores, cheese in the neighborhood. Jill really makes you feel like you belong there and makes you fall in love with Montmartre. I had such a memorable experience that I just didn’t want the tour to end!
Thank you very much, Ruxandra Z.

The beautiful seaside town of Saint-Tropez was a former military stronghold turned delightful tourist resort. The town has a fascinating history and offers visitors a selection of world-famous beaches and restaurants as well as a stunning port to catch transport to the nearby areas. The ideal destination for a relaxing break with sun, sea, beaches, and beautiful buildings; St. Tropez is not a highlight you want to skip on… include it in your itinerary today by clicking ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below.
Arguably the most famous destination in the French Riviera, Monaco is a sovereign city-state and country which is widely regarded as the most expensive and wealthiest place in the world (over 30% of the population are millionaires). For its small landmass there is much to see and do in Monaco: spend your days exploring the Monte-Carlo district and it’s famous Place du Casino; or a guided tour of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco; a visit to the world-famous Oceanographic Museum or the beautiful Exotic Garden; you could spend days or even weeks exploring Monaco and the surrounding areas! Even if your budget doesn’t stretch to staying in Monaco, you can still include the city-state as a day trip on one of our private guided tours by clicking ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below.
Renowned for its beauty and charm, the small medieval Village of Èze offers visitors stunning architecture and fascinating history, as well as incredible panoramic views across the Mediterranean Sea.
A delightful way to spend a day or even just an afternoon, Èze gives a sense of peace and tranquillity from the surrounding cities of Nice and Monaco as well as a selection of traditional shops, art galleries, hotels, and restaurants for visitors to browse and explore at their own pace.
Include the Village of Èze in your itinerary by clicking ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below.
Literally meaning ‘Walkway of the English’, The Promenade des Anglais extends almost 7km along the Mediterranean stunning coast of Nice. This beautiful walkway was named after the English aristocracy who began spending their winters in Nice back in the 18th century. The story has it that after a severely cold winter in the north, Nice had an influx of beggars who the English proposed would work on the promenade for employment.
Greatly popular with locals and tourists alike, the Promenade today offers visitors a fantastic opportunity to soak up some sun and fresh Mediterranean cuisine after a stroll (or cycle) down its stunning walkway.
Interested in visiting Promenade des Anglais during your trip to France? Click ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below to start planning your private vacation today!
One of our clients’ favorite ways to explore the beautiful coast of The French Riviera is by booking a private sailing experience. You can book a sailing trip from Nice, Monaco, or Cannes and spend the day sightseeing from the sea, exploring the little inlets on the coast, or simply basking in the sea breeze with fresh seafood and champagne to toast to your perfect vacation. Certainly, one to consider if you’ve got the time and budget; include a sailing trip on The French Riviera in your itinerary by clicking ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below.
A short boat or (for the more adventurous among you) kayak ride away from Cannes, The Lérins Islands are a fantastic getaway from the hustle and bustle of the nearby ports. The two largest islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, offer stunning views of the Mediterranean and the city of Cannes as well as contain a host of unique experiences for visitors. Sainte-Marguerite contains the fort which famously held the mysterious ‘Man with the Iron Mask’ prisoner as well as a museum dedicated to the architectural discoveries from shipwrecks off the coast of the island.
The smaller of the islands, Saint Honorat, is only inhabited by Cistercian monks who, when not in prayer, produce incredible red and white wines, honey, and a herbal liqueur called Lérina which are available from their medieval monastery.
Well worth a visit if you’re touring the French Riviera; include a trip to the Lérins Islands by clicking ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below.
This seaside villa located at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera is undoubtedly one of the most stunning private properties developed in the region, with its interior and nine gardens (each with a different theme) open to the public throughout the year.
The villa was constructed between 1905 and 1912 by Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild (a member of the prominent Rothschild banking family); its lavish interior was filled with antique furniture, vintage paintings, sculptures, and rare collections, and its gardens were exquisitely designed to an incredible standard. The property was donated in its entirety to the Académie des Beaux-Arts and ever since adored and appreciated by visitors from across the globe.
One could easily spend an entire day (or lifetime if they’d allow us to stay!) exploring Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and basking in its beauty. Include a visit in your private tour itinerary by clicking ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below.
While its name may seem slightly deceiving (as there is indeed no castle atop the hill), Castle Hill offers visitors stunning views of the old town of Nice, the Promenade des Anglais and the Mediterranean. Following the walk up Castle Hill, where you’ll find a beautiful waterfall feature, delightful streets, and green spaces, you’ll be glad to enjoy a seat at one of the fantastic restaurants and eateries on offer to really soak up the views or perhaps sit down in the gardens for a small picnic. We recommend planning your trip to up Castle Hill to catch either sunrise or sundown to watch the scenery transform in colour and to truly appreciate why this hill is beloved by so many around the world. Interested in a guided hike up Castle Hill? Just click ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below to start planning today!
Perhaps a contrast to some of the more modern parts of the French Riviera, the traditional town and port of Antibes is certainly worth a visit when you’re in the area. This stunningly beautiful old town delights visitors from around the world with its narrow streets, artisan shops, and exquisite squares. If you decide to include a tour of the castle in your trip to Antibes you’ll get the chance to see numerous paintings, drawings, and ceramics left by a certain Pablo Picasso after he visited the town in 1946 (after being invited to reside in the castle, he decided to stay for six-months). Include a visit to Antibes in your itinerary by clicking ‘Create My Custom Tour’ below.
