A global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world, a sightseeing trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower.

While you will catch glimpses of the tower as you travel throughout Paris, we recommend first-time visitors make the most of the opportunity by touring the structure itself. There are three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels and a viewing deck on the third (906 ft above ground).

The tower is the most visited-paid tourist attraction in the world so if you’d like to include it in your itinerary we do generally recommend purchasing in advance our skip-the-line tickets to avoid queuing.

Every trip to the capital deserves a guided visit to the Louvre to discover the wealth of treasures it contains. The museum houses western works of art dating from the Middle Ages to 1848, in addition to collections of ancient oriental, Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman civilizations, as well as graphic and Islamic arts. From room to room, the former royal palace reveals its masterpieces to the public: the Mona Lisa, The Raft of the Medusa, the Venus de Milo, The Winged Victory of Samothrace, and many more.

The most beautiful and well-known avenue in Paris. It connects Arc de Triomphe with the Place de la Concorde and is considered one of the world’s most famous commercial streets.

Known as the Beverly Hills of the Riviera, Cannes is an elegant coastal city located just west of Nice. 

We start your tour of Cannes with a visit to Le Suquet, the original Roman hillside settlement of Cannes which is filled with pastel-colored houses and cottages and narrow cobbled streets, and stop for refreshments in one of the many hillside cafes that overlook the Bay of Cannes.  

Next, we head to the indoor market, Marche Forville filled with local farmers and artisan food manufacturers.

The Paillon River, now partly built over, separates the new town to the west from the old town, the harbor, and the commercial district to the east. The old town, with narrow winding streets, stands at the western base of a granite hill known as Le Château. 

The harbor, begun in 1750 and extended after 1870, is now used primarily by ferry services to Corsica, sailing craft, and yachts. The most striking part of the new town is the famous Promenade des Anglais, which originated in 1822 as a path along the shore built by the English colony.

Chamonix is primarily known as a winter ski resort, in fact, the first Olympic Winter games were held here in 1924. Things have changed over the decades and even in summer, Chamonix is a thriving busy town. 

We head first to the famous Aiguilles des Midi, one of the world’s highest (and steepest) cable cars which only takes 20 minutes to reach its destination which is 3,842 m high. Step out of the cable car and take in the most spectacular views of the Alps and of course Mont Blanc For those of you more adventurous you can step onto a viewing platform which is essentially a glass box suspended over the mountain face.

I was very pleased with all aspects of my trip ie. hotel, tour guides and transportation provides for the excursions as well as my driver to the airport on my date of departure. My only compliant is with the transportation from the airport on the date of my arrival since he left because I wasn’t able to make it to the arrival lounge within an hour for meetup because of the time it took from departing the plane, going through customs and waiting on my baggage. The driver did try to contact me but it was over WhatsApp and do t receive notifications since I rarely if ever use that app and Eskapas didn’t let me know to expect communications through that app. Other than the initial dissatisfaction with that and having to get other transportation as well as an added expense for an Uber I was very satisfied with the rest of the experience.

This tour was overall good it allows you to get to experience Paris when you don't have a lot of time. The walking tour guide was excellent even though we had a rocky start due to him receiving the wrong pick up location. The hotel was 3 not 4 star with a small room. It was clean quaint with friendly helpful staff. The description of tour failed to inform how physically demanding it is particularly for older or out of shape tourist. There is a lot of walking and stairs. The Eiffel Tower 2nd floor climb should have the option to purchase a lift ticket up front and disclose that it is over 600 steps to 2 nd floor.

A global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world, a sightseeing trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower.

While you will catch glimpses of the tower as you travel throughout Paris, we recommend first-time visitors make the most of the opportunity by touring the structure itself. There are three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels and a viewing deck on the third (906 ft above ground).

Every trip to the capital deserves a guided visit to the Louvre to discover the wealth of treasures it contains. The museum houses western works of art dating from the Middle Ages to 1848, in addition to collections of ancient oriental, Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman civilizations, as well as graphic and Islamic arts. From room to room, the former royal palace reveals its masterpieces to the public: the Mona Lisa, The Raft of the Medusa, the Venus de Milo, The Winged Victory of Samothrace, and many more.

The most beautiful and well-known avenue in Paris. It connects Arc de Triomphe with the Place de la Concorde and is considered one of the world’s most famous commercial streets.

Home of Monet’s incredible Water Lilies, which is a permanent exhibition as well as art from Cezanne, Modigliani, and Picasso to name a few of the famous artists displayed at this museum. As far back as the 19th century, Saint Tropez was a quiet town on the coast of France. By the late 1800s, many writers and artists traveled to the area for inspiration such as Paul Signac, Henry Matisse, and Guy de Maupassant.

Over time, more artists and celebrities fell in love with the area including Ernest Hemingway, Brigitte Bardot, Pablo Picasso, and many more. Today it still attracts the world’s most famous celebrities.

For such a small territory, Monaco has earned a reputation as one of the most luxurious tourist resorts in the world. The cascading hills leading towards crystalline shores populated by gleaming white yachts are the last word in luxury.

The Paillon River, now partly built over, separates the new town to the west from the old town, the harbor, and the commercial district to the east. The old town, with narrow winding streets, stands at the western base of a granite hill known as Le Château. 

The harbor, begun in 1750 and extended after 1870, is now used primarily by ferry services to Corsica, sailing craft, and yachts. The most striking part of the new town is the famous Promenade des Anglais, which originated in 1822 as a path along the shore built by the English colony.

Known as the Beverly Hills of the Riviera, Cannes is an elegant coastal city located just west of Nice. 

We start your tour of Cannes with a visit to Le Suquet, the original Roman hillside settlement of Cannes which is filled with pastel-colored houses and cottages and narrow cobbled streets, and stop for refreshments in one of the many hillside cafes that overlook the Bay of Cannes.  

Next, we head to the indoor market, Marche Forville filled with local farmers and artisan food manufacturers. In the afternoon head to the Grand Auditorium for a private tour, your driver guide will even take a photograph of you on the famous red-carpeted steps outside the building. Later stroll along the iconic  La Promenade de Croisette.

Chamonix is primarily known as a winter ski resort, in fact, the first Olympic Winter games were held here in 1924. Things have changed over the decades and even in summer, Chamonix is a thriving busy town. 

We head first to the famous Aiguilles des Midi, one of the world’s highest (and steepest) cable cars which only takes 20 minutes to reach its destination which is 3,842 m high. Step out of the cable car and take in the most spectacular views of the Alps and of course Mont Blanc For those of you more adventurous you can step onto a viewing platform which is essentially a glass box suspended over the mountain face.

Known as the Capital of the Alps, Grenoble town is famous for winter sports, hiking, museums, and universities.

Perhaps the premier skiing resort town in the French Alps ski lifts give access to sites like the steep Face de Bellevarde, a black-rated piste, and the Grande Motte glacier, known for summer ski runs.

Reims is not just famous for champagne, but it is also known as the City of Kings as it was in the cathedral in Reims where Kings of France were crowned from 816 until 1825 – an impressive 33 Kings.

This beautiful walkway was named after the English aristocracy who began spending their winters in Nice back in the 18th century. The story has it that after a severely cold winter in the north, Nice had an influx of beggars who the English proposed would work on the promenade for employment.

A short boat or (for the more adventurous among you) kayak ride away from Cannes, The Lérins Islands are a fantastic getaway from the hustle and bustle of the nearby ports.
